I like the design of this place very much. In my opinion, the designer applied the simplicity and harmony principles which has created a cozy and charming place. There are a couple of restaurants and an ice cream shop here.If you like to sit in a quiet place and stay away from crowd, this place is for you! Enjoy it!
Stayed in Aug’21 with my family of 5. Great experience. The management and staff were very hospitable and flexible in meeting our family needs. Nice accommodations. Location was perfect for exploring Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate, etc. will be staying here on our next San Fran vacation!
My husband and I drove down with our two little kiddos (age 2 and 4) to the Bay from Washington and after a long, but pleasant drive, we checked in this afternoon. We were lucky enough to find a good hotel using an associate rate (thanks mom!) however, the front desk agent who checked us in was rather rude and I was quite offended. She wasnt the typically, I dont care rude, but when I politely asked if there was an upgrade available, she laughed in my face and said on an associate rate? No. If you want to pay the full rate, I can offer you an upgrade but we save those for our Elite guests. Those were her exact words. Ive worked at a category 6 hotel as a front desk agent for several years and have been asked a thousand times if we had upgrades available. That was NEVER my response. I was very surprised and was caught off guard but it seems to be the tempo of this property. We just called down to ask for a couple of things but before we could ask for anything, the agent who picked up said, can you call back later, were checking in a group. Ill consider giving a higher rating if things change before I check out in a few days...but for now, its a strong 2 star.Update: The agent who checked me in immediately called the following day to apologize for her behavior and how I was treated upon check in. I appreciated her call and thanked her for it. Overall, our stay at this property was OK. We were rarely greeted or acknowledged by the front desk so we assumed the gentleman was a statue :)
Things to know before considering booking here:1. Destination Fee $15.00 +$2.13 tax = $17.13*apparently it would be more expensive if youre not at least Gold Elite and I could not locate this fee anywhere on their website2. Parking $62.00 + $8.80 tax = $70.803. Total = $87.93 on top of the hotel room cost4. If you want the Full American breakfast it is $24.95 per person5. Apparently you have access to a coupon book for Pier 39 which you need to get from Concierge and I went multiple times to get the book and the person was never there. When I asked the front desk if I could get it from them after I told them I made multiple attempts I was told that I would just have to wait for concierge.6. For a category 6 hotel, this was really really basic. The hotel room was old and service from check-in to check-out was 1 star throughout. The front desk at each interaction was rude and careless.Ok so dont be me and make the mistake of booking here.1. There is a Marriott Courtyard that has parking for $40+tax and it is one street over2. I did not see any destination fee but I also did not see this on the other website3. The Full American breakfast is $8.95 per personThe savings in major and besides youll be exploring the Wharf and only in the hotel to sleep.
Room for 6 people, 3 beds, they gave us only 2. Breakfast NOT free, hate doing this with 3 kids
The location is great, just a walk away from pier 39 and lots of restaurants close by. Parking is easy and I liked that we had in and out privileges. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly. The room we stayed in was clean. It is your standard hotel room, no major things that were wrong. I only gave it 3 stars because the decor is slightly outdated, the bed was hard. The price per night was very expensive when you consider there was nothing spectacular about the room itself; I’m wondering if it’s due to the fact that we stayed there during memorial weekend and because of the location. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but don’t expect something amazing because of the price.
Excellent location with great food near by and tons of stuff to do near the piers. The staff goes up and above to make you feel at home, especially Joe and Molly.
After an issue with check in, the Manager went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable... Location to fishermans warf and surrounding eateries is right out the front doors.
Comfort clean room, breakfast was simple croissant and juice, coffee. Would help to improve breakfast choices
The room are excellent very good room service an looking to there on my next trip
The location was awesome for the rate close enough for all the i did in San Francisco
Good location, very nice, clean rooms.
Positive: The location was great and the rooms were well appointed and modern. Negative: Both of our rooms smelled highly of smoke even though we reserved non smoking rooms.
Our sons best friend planned a destination wedding in Berkeley and so many of us from New England traveled cross country to attend. We decidedly selected to stay in San Francisco and include a visit to The Fishermans Wharf. We also decided on Marriott Hotels simply because we know what to expect from the Marriott Hotels - great location, updated, clean, and good staff - it is the best bet when shooting in the dark. We were not disappointed, arrived at midnight after taking the redeye. We were greeted warmly, no fuss and no delays. We entered a beautiful large room with a king size bed that we quickly dove into for a restful sleep. With that, we woke up hours later to be bright eyed and bushy tail for the wedding. Check in and Check out were easy. We succeeded in taking in all the wedding festivities and got to enjoy The Fishermans Wharf.
Did not honor parking reservation and attendant lied about availability.
This is the perfect location for a quick stay in San Francisco. Many great restaurants within easy walking distance, along with touristy, but still fun, places like Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39. The staff were all very helpful and the rooms are very nice - loved the 2 queen beds so we could spread out! Parking rates are lower than many places in the city and the car was easy to get when we wanted to use it. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
I stayed here for a mini vacation with my husband and 2 year old daughter. I was a wonderful stay! The valet parking was cheaper than the other well know hotels around fisherman’s wharf. The location was perfect because you are so close to everything and the transportation around the area is very good! The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable after a long flight and long days walking around. Our room was facing the street so the only complaint I have was you could hear outside like the trash man coming at midnight to get trash but other than that you could not hear neighbors. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and it we come back to San Francisco we will stay here again!
They didnt add my reward points for staying there so Im not very happy 🤨
We stayed in this hotel in our trip visiting San Francisco. It is conveniently located at walking distance to the Warf, Pier 39, cable cars, Lombard street loops (although steep walk up) and other attractions. Plenty of restaurants and coffee shop options around. There is a brazilian coffee shop at 5 minute walking distance serving acai (delicious and healthy morning start). Golden Gate Bridge is not close but it can be made by foot. Also Chinatown can be made by foot. The front desk staff was very friendly and the check-in process was smooth. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable, and it was equipped with safe, fridge and coffee maker, and the bathroom was had all the expected toiletries. This hotel has a valet parking and the service is good. Overall our experience in this hotel was very positive and we will stay here again.
You have to see the show!
Wonderfully located. Near all the wharf attractions and a great selection of dining, art museums and shops. A short walk to trolleys and city transportation makes getting around the city a breeze. An In & Out Burger inside the hotel complex was the topper! Highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel has been an absolute pleasure to stay in. The rooms are great, the location is perfect, but the most notable part of this hotel is the staff. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They have gone out of their way to be helpful and we are greeted warmly every time. Our trip to SF has been fabulous and this great hotel and her staff have anchored this experience. Thank you!
The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a perfect location to explore San Francisco. It is seconds from Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghiradelli Square and the cable car stop. There are loads of restaurants and bars nearby, as well as shops and attractions. The room was a decent size and the shower was powerful. The beds were comfortable and we had good night’s sleep, despite being in the City. I really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good value hotel right near to Fisherman’s Wharf.
The hotel has a great location! Close to Fishermens Wharf with lots of restaurants and fun things to do within walking distance. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was A+. It was not your ordinary continental breakfast. Parking was a little pricey ($38.00 per night for valet), but I think that is common in the area.
Always a bit nervous about choosing a hotel whenever we travel so I tend to review each hotel’s website along with personal reviews several times before making my decision. I was very happy with my choice of the Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf. The location was excellent for us. There is valet parking, but we had a rental that we turned in right after checking in. The rental car office was a couple of blocks down the street. I felt safe in the area. The rooms were roomy, clean, cool, and comfortable. The bathroom counter was large enough for both of our toiletry bags. The staff was attentive and friendly. Breakfast is available for purchase in the hotel. Other options close by. We were very happy with this choice.
Clean rooms, great decor, excellent location.
The hotel really isn’t special on its own. It’s about what you would expect from a Courtyard. Clean rooms, generally friendly staff, a little outed, and a bit light on the amenities. But that’s okay, as it’s location and reasonable price make up for most of that. It’s right outside Fisherman’s Wharf and walking distance to numerous other tourist attractions. And, compared to the rest of the hotels, has a pretty good balance of price v. quality. Probably your best place to stay if visiting the area.
This hotel is a great location. Easy walk to the cable cars, bus lines and rail cars. Buy a pass if your here a couple days. Couple of good breakfast places 2 blocks up, Codmother Fish Stand a block away and within the courtyard, In & Out Burger, Krispy Kreme Donut. The hotel was clean, service was very good, elevators quick. Christina was very helpful in her knowledge of tours. If your looking for a view from the window not so great. But your in the big city so go outside and enjoy the views. In all, very pleasant stay and great staff.

This motel is located on the North Shore within walking distance to many attractions: Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, Buena Vista, Cable Car stop, and some of the best seafood restaurants in the city. The staff, however, sets it apart. They are very friendly, professional, and go beyond the call of duty. From housekeeping to concierge to breakfast to front desk, they all made us feel as if this was our home away from home!
This property will always be my goto while in SF. The amount of awesome restaurants with in walking distance is incredible. Plus this property always had at 10-20% coupon for these as well. The staff is awesome. MS Melinda and jorenda( not spelled correct my apologizes )
Hotel located in great location for visiting San Francisco’s best attractions. Study train and cable car routes to get the most out of your time. Buy passes online for half the price!! Lots of dining options nearby. Pizza next door was excellent for late night! Breakfast in hotel cooked to order and crew very accommodating to special orders.
One of my favorite places to stay. So close to everything and anything you may need. This place is so Very Clean and the guest services are a wonderful staff. Any question s they have the answers. Beautiful Beautiful place.
OK rooms, good location. Wasnt happy they keep the breakfast included in the price on my confirmation letter and then rely on vague terminology of COVID may effect dining as the way to say no breakfast.
The Courtyard at Fishermans Wharf has a great location with few amenities. A person with vision could easily enhance the hotels caliber with a few small improvements. They do not have to reinvent the wheel, just visit the competitors.I have been Starwood Gold since 2003 when Gold meant you were Golden. This is my first experience with Marriott. I have lost a lot with this Marriott/Starwood Merger. The young man at the front desk thought an upgrade was exchanging a King room for two Queens. Free bottled water, complimentary drinks, breakfast, points, lounge access have all become a memory. There are still places to stay where you can find value and be valued. On this 19 day trip I was told to take a cab when the shuttle was delayed. The hotel reimbursed me. At a B&B the owner booked my train transportation and activities and reimbursed me 5%. One door closes another door opens. Amen.
Each of the staff members at this location was wonderful! We were greeted with a smile andhello and they answered our many questions about the area and transportation. The hotel is convenient and walking distance to everything. The walk to the Alcatraz ferry is a comfortable 17 minutes. A little hint if the weather is bad and you want to go to the In and About Burger next door, use the entrance on the second floor. We didnt discover this until the last day at the hotel. Two things that would have made our stay perfect - a microwave in the room (there is a refrigerator) and a coffeepot going all the time in the lobby (there is a coffee maker in the room) because it is nice to sit in the lobby and enjoy a cup. This is the only Courtyard I have stayed at that did not have this. All in all, a lovely stay and I would definitely pick this hotel again.
Wonderful hotel! The staff at this hotel are really friendly and helpful. I will say that the valet service parks the cars a couple blocks away, so it does take a little time to valet your car, but overall we had an excellent stay!
Wonderful location right in Anchorage Square by Fishermans Wharf, very walkable location. Rooms were quiet, beds were comfy. Breakfast cafe had a good selection of reasonably-priced items, cooked to order, with excellent service. Many restaurant choices nearby, from In n Out Burger to fine dining.
A hidden gem with best location, quiet/away from the crowd, yet still right in the middle of all activities at Fishermans Wharf corridors. Half a block walking distance to the harbors, shops, dinners... The rooms are well kept and well insulated to keep the noise (from outside and adjacent rooms) out along with clean bed and clean linen for a peaceful night rest. Room HVAC unit is older and a tat noisy but well maintained and capable of keeping temperature at exact set ranges. This hotel staffs are one of the best professionals. This location has been Google Location faved for future SFFW visit.
Vanessa at the front desk was great. My elderly mother was struggling to get her stuff together to check out in time for our brunch reservation and she not only granted my mother a late check out so that we could return after the reservation to finish packing her stuff up, but suggested we too check out late so that we could relax in our room while she finished up! It worked out great as I was able to freshen-up as well. Having forgot toothpaste, I picked up a tube from the onsite market and the woman at the front desk informed me that they have free one-time use packets for guests! So nice.Although I requested a high floor on my reservation, I was placed on the 2nd floor. When I requested to be moved the 4th floor away from the elevator, the gentleman who checked us in was happy to accommodate me. I only wish the AC was quieter, but this is not a reflection of the excellent services that was provided!
Our family loved our stay at the Courtyard Fishermans Warf. The location is perfect and within walking distance to all the shopping and dining experiences youll want to have at the warf! The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying there again!
I would highly recommend the Courtyard San Francisco Fishermans Wharf. The hotel was very clean and maintained very well. The concierge staff and the parking attendant where very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and problem free as possible. I loved the location of the hotel because we were so close to the Wharf and lots of good restaurants.
Super clean hotel. All staff we encountered from check-in to check-out were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely stay here again
Excellent location and very friendly staff. My family and I will definitely make this our go to hotel when we visit Fishermans Warf. Valet parking rates are steep, but commensurate with SF rates. Would be nice to offer discounted rate for Elite members. Overall, highly recommended.
Very clean, best location, spacious room, quite, helpful and pleasant staff, Joe the concierge was awesome, close to all major modes of transportations. We did have good WiFi connection and did not pay extra for it. We did not eat at the hotel. Great eating placing close by in every direction. Not a lot of frills and extras but we didn’t expect them, need them, or want to pay for them. Thumbs up to courtyard by Marriott at the wharf. Would stay here again for sure.
I spent three nights staying at this hotel. I had read the reviews which rated the hotel as being very good and Im delighted to say I was not disappointed. The hotel is well located close to Fishermans wharf handy to some great restaurants and leisure activities. It is also very close to the trams and cable car making it easy to get around the city. Places to hire bikes my favourite Segways, and the tourist bus are also less than five minutes walk from here. The hotel is clean and tidy and checking in was so easy with the booking being made online and all that was required was for me to confirm my details and provide a credit card. Checking out was equally as easy with a copy of the invoice slid under my door for me to check at my leisure. This certainly removes a lot of the friction with queues of people wanting to check out and discussions about the invoice. The hotel staff were very friendly and obliging. My room was kept clean and tidy and the staff were careful to be friendly but without being intrusive. My worst experience was attempting to connect to the Internet which took around 15 minutes and required me to ring the service provider.I thought the price was reasonable particularly as I was able to visit all areas of the city I wish to visit without paying an excessively high price. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is practical, clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. It has all the features I want or need, with no hassle. The room is nice and well-lit. Furniture is comfortable and usable. I could both relax and efficiently work. Wi-Fi is free and fast. The small refrigerator is a nice bonus. The staff is terrific -- helpful and friendly. They went out of the way to improve my stay.
This is an older property that has an unbeatable location. Our room was not ready until after 4:30pm. The staff is very nice. There is no included breakfast and no coffee available in the lobby. I would choose a different hotel if plans allowed. I also was not greeted as a Platinum Premier Elite member.
We recently stayed at the Courtyard in SF on Beach Street. The Marriott is our preferred hotel. The cleanliness and beds are the best around. This time, I must say the staff was exceptionally helpful in printing boarding passes and other info we needed for tours. They never missed a beat in helping out when our plane was delayed for a day. The Manager was very kind. The hotel is very convenient to Fisherman’s Wharf and a couple tour companies. We were picked up at our hotel to see Alcatraz and Muir Woods, a magical place.
Everything you’d want in a room. Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Awesome area. Have to check out the IN AND OUT BURGER attached. Kristy cream, Starbucks all around the corner.Close to everything you want to see. All within walking distance.Tip: do the night tour of Alcatraz
This is a newly renovated Courtyard. Nice and clean. Staff is friendly. The location is great to walk to everything around Fishermans Wharf. Kids loved it. Lobby is small and the cafe is basic. (Not sure how it got my age as 18-25, Im 47).
We stayed for 1 night. The valet and hotel staff were very nice with a welcoming smile. Great location. It is near a parking garage in case you dont want to use their valet parking. Within walking distance to restaurants, Pier 39, cable car turnaround and other attractions. Would have been better if it comes with free continental breakfast. All in all our stay was pleasant.
My nine year old son and I had a fantastic stay at the well located Courtyard by Marriot San Francisco, Fishermans Wharf. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel was near many locations that we wanted to see, and the staff were all amazing. We will be back.
Great hotel and fairly affordable prices for San Francisco. The rooms are a good size and the location is great for tourists or if you are working downtown. Its a fairly quiet neighborhood at night, albeit my room overlooked the adjacent garage and the first night I kept waking up to car alarms every few hours. The rest of the week was fine. The housekeeping and front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of food and entertainment options around and great for sight seeing activities.
This hotel has an excellent location, close to everything, the wharf, restaurants and transit. The front desk and staff here are very good, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel. As an elite member and staying in numerous hotels, this is surely one I will come back to!!
Wonderful location. VERY helpful staff. I want to especially thank Ping and Darrell for turning in some items I left in my room to Joanne Van Niekerk. She then contacted me and made the arrangements to have my property (car keys, check book, purse and autographed shirt) returned to me. Sincerely grateful.
Nice quiet stay for the Fisherman’s Wharf area. This location is extremely convenient to all the attractions. It provides a nice sense of security in an area that has all types of “folks”. Especially liked the breakfast bistro. The couple operating it were lovely. And their breakfast food was excellent! I would rather pay $16 for a great breakfast than a “free” buffet of mediocre scrambled eggs. Etc
This hotel has an excellent location, close to everything, the wharf, restaurants and transit. The front desk and staff here are very good, and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel. As an elite member and staying in numerous hotels, this is surely one I will come back to!!
Took a quick 2 nights family vacation 2 kids 9,4 and 4 adults in SF. Needed a location near the warf, since dad is unable to walk for long distances. This hotel accomplished what I needed price and location. Other hotels that we looked at were the Argonaut and Standford
Marriott Fishermans Wharf is close by to all sites. Easy access to street cars and cable cars. Walking distance to Little Italy and Chinatown. Staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms are clean and beds were comfortable. Cant ask for a better experience.
We love this hotel! Conveniently located near Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39, the Courtyard Marriott has beautifully updated rooms and incredible guest service. Julia and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home. The housekeeping crew is amazing, especially Marta. We will definitely come back next time we are in San Francisco!
Lonnie at the front desk was extremely helpful to my husband and me. We checked in early, the king room we had booked wasnt available, and he was able to upgrade us to a very nice queen mini suite. We also received a complimentary breakfast for our party of 4. The information Lonnie provided about how to get around and where to eat was excellent. The maid who cleaned our room was also very nice, helpful, and thorough. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the free wi-fi was good. Everything about our stay was perfect, and we couldnt have been more pleased!
The rooms are very clean and it includes everything youll need for a comfortable stay. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, so it made for a very good the sleeping experience- did not end up yawning at the boring conference. Its located in a location where you can access other parts of town relatively easy and some very fine restaurants around.I would stay here again as it is reasonably priced.
We stayed in this hotel for 10 days and have enjoyed it very much. The room was comfortable and the location was perfect for us. What stood out was the exceptional attitude and attention to details by this hotel staff. Reception, cleaning crew and kitchen stuff made us feel welcomed and cared for. For example, when they learned that we were visiting family on the occasion of a birth of a grandson, they surprised us with a blue balloons, bottle of wine and a congratulation note signed by employees of the hotel! When we were late for breakfast one day, the lady from dining room called our room to check on us. I highly recommend staying at this location.
The staff was very supportive and professional. The hotel is located in a great location, within walking distance from the piers, providing entertainment, history, shopping, and great food. I would totally recommend this hotel to someone and would come back.
The room was super comfortable and in a great location. My favorite feature was the little sofa in the corner of the room - so comfy I would like to have it my house! The staff was very friendly and helpful - they let me check out an hour late, and then stored my suitcase for a few hours before I had to leave for the airport, and let me use a private bathroom to change and freshen up before leaving. Would definitely consider staying here again.
Truly a gem near pier 39/Alcatraz. Having stayed at many hotels I can say that the staff (Particularly Edgar, Pedro and Leo) here are truly the best. They made sure to help us store luggage, provided late check-out, gave directions and advice, and helped us to do 3 last events on our daughter’s birthday/check-out day and still get back to Fresno by 11pm. They were kind, knowledgeable, and just down-right friendly. The cafe across from our room provided fast and delicious food..... it’s just missing a true coffee bar/starbucks inside.
This is the very best location for a multi day trip to SanFran. Right on the Wharf and close to all kinds of transportation. No need for a car at all. One block from the cable cars or the tram, which gets you to the BART or Cal Train. (Also used Lyft a couple times)While the property is a little “tired” physically and does not have the traditional rest and bar you come to expect at a Courtyard, you don’t really need it with so much around you within very close walking distance. Best of all the Staff was as good as it gets. Friendly. Helpful. And ready to create a great experience for their customers.
Excellent staff nice rooms. But street musicians pounding on 5 gallon buckets outside your window for hours sucks. Staff apologies but nothing they can do till 10 pm. If you like 5 gallon drums playing the same pounding tune repeatedly, go for it and yes they have a cow bell and symbols. 300 bucks you think! Not happy.
Great hotel, good location. Walking distance to Ghirardelli, cable cars, bike rentals, Pier 39, ferry to Alcatraz and Sausalito. Staff are all great. Rooms are clean and well kept. There are a lot of nearby restaurants to choose from, expensive ones to reasonably priced like In & Out and Subway. Parking is costly $50 for 24hrs.
We traveled from Indiana to stay at Fishermans Wharf to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The Courtyard Marriott is very clean and conveniently located to restaurants, shops, the Bay, Pier 39 and all public transportation. We couldnt have been more pleased with the price and experience and would definitely recommend staying there.
Hotel staff very accommodating and room clean and restful. Excellent location for walking the Wharf or getting anywhere along the piers. Plenty of restaurants around the corner. E/F line bus also just around the corner. Very pleased to have a comfortable option within walking of almost everything in northern part of San Francisco.
Location is great, right on the boardwalk of San Francisco. Very close to restaurants and main touristic areas.Rooms are big but my experience was not amazing as i had people knocking at my door many times in the morning.I also asked for recommendations for a restaurant and I was not provided with good insights that I was expecting.Again, this is a nice hotel but avg. experience.
I stayed at the Courtyard San Francisco Fishermans Wharf and I was very happy with my choice of hotel. Its very close to Jefferson Street, the Cable Car, Ghirardelli Square, Pier 39. Great location! It is super clean and modern. The rooms are big and comfortable. I was able to have rested plenty after my long walks at the Pier.
Room was clean. Great AC. Comfortable beds and pillows. Excellent location! Food was average. Restaurant service was very slow. Coffee pots were empty. No water in room. Nice workout facility.
My two daughters and I stayed at this property for two nights. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even the valet crew. Our room was large and well-decorated and very quiet. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower had lots of water pressure. The beds were very comfortable. We were able to walk to the Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, the Italian area and China town. There were restaurants nearby and a really good bakery less than a block away. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be in the center of it all and enjoys walking there instead of having to negotiate all those hilly, narrow streets.
The survey itself is very complicated and too long to fill out. I cant imagine how an accurate rating can be determined from this survey. My wife and I were on a 40th anniversary vacation. We ordered a king room only to find two queen beds in the room. When brought to the attention of front desk, we were informed that there were no king rooms available until the next day.
This hotel is located in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. It is near the cable car line and all the great restaurants. Did not need a car to get around. We were able to get to all the attractions by cable car or just walking.
Great location. We were able to walk pretty much anywhere we wanted to from the hotel. The trolleys werent very far down the street and the pier was just behind it. The front desk knew what time things in the area closed in general and had tips for breakfast and dessert. The beds were soft if not a little smaller than we were used to but we slept hard on them. Would up refreshed every day. Despite our window facing the courtyard of businesses, we heard no noise from outside and enjoyed it. Everything looked clean inside the room and every time we stepped out of it we saw employees hard at work. Valet parking was $38 a day but you got to park somewhere. The car was waiting for us whenever we called for it and everything went well. Water pressure is not strong but does the job. Hair dryer is in the closet instead of the bathroom. Plenty of room to put out our suitcases to unpack them. I would stay here again easily.
Great room. Very clean with very comfortable mattress. Staff was excellent. Great location. I was very satisfied with my stay and my overall San Francisco experience
Rooms have distinctive old hotel smell. Changed rooms and smell just a bit better. Location is great near Fishermans Wharf but not where you want to stay with little kids. Have to maneuver around homeless on sidewalks and in stairwell to get in-out and lots of yelling from street at all hours of the night.
Love the location of the hotel. Lots of noice outside but you have to expect that. Rooms are standard. What is not standard was the staff. They were magnificent. Will stay always.
Great hotel in easy walking distance from Fishermans Wharf. Just down the road from Buena Vista Social club if you like Irish Coffee!
We enjoy staying here. Staff is always friendly. Great location for many attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend, would not choose to stay at another hotel.
Great hotel close to everything with easy transportation near by and easy walk to most places. The rooms and kept in great condition and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We had a quick overnight trip to SF and chose the Courtyard by Marriott Fishermans Wharf for its location, the Marriott brand and customer reviews. The front desk staff accommodated an early check in and room request - no hesitation. Not one sign of the weariness we experience from service staff in high traffic tourist areas. Quite the opposite. Friendly and welcoming service. Very comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious room. Continental breakfast included a good variety of yogurts, fresh baked breakfast breads, cereal, fresh fruit, real OJ and other beverages to send us on our way. Everything close by and within walking distance to tour the Fishermans Wharf area. Loved it and will stay here again when visiting SF. Very nice hotel that exceeded our expectations. Thank you.
Courtyard is very convenient to everything around. You are within walking distance to everything! Everyone at the hotel was very welcoming and I would recommend this hotel highly!!
Smooth check-in with valet parking available. Staff is professional and friendly. Loni at the front desk made us feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. Great location to walk to all main attractions with nearby public transit access. Theres a mini market/liquor store next door. Lastly, bed was comfortable and their rooms are soundproof.
Stayed here for 1 night and and everything was amazing from check in to check out. Welcoming staff and a clean bedroom. I even forgot my toothbrush and went to buy one in the hotel lobby and at checkout, the concierge said, “No! You don’t need to buy one” and went to grab toothbrush and toothpaste from their stash. Very convenient to the tourist activities. Would recommend!
Overall it was a good experience and a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One small hiccup was that my room was not ready once I got there. The manager did her best and got me in as soon as it was available.
I took my husband to a Reggae dinner cruise on a Friday evening for his birthday. We stayed at this hotel that night. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable as well. The staff from the parking attendants to the front desk receptionists were all great. The only thing I didnt like was they charged us for parking which wasnt cheap and they also charge for breakfast. That is the reason we didnt eat breakfast there. Other than that, I enjoyed our stay as it was the perfect location.
Great for short stay on the wharf. Great location. Close to trolley to China Town and Little Italy. 3 mile walk to Golden Gate Bridge (or quick Uber ride). Nice friendly staff. Great service at the breakfast cafe with very inexpensive menu $5 for oatmeal $2 for coffee. Egg sandwich $8.
I exclusively stay at Marriott properties for personal and professional use. I am always 100% satisfied with the property location, environment and service. I work for J.B. Hunt and Marriott is one of our top two preferred hotels. With 16,000+ employees you can imagine the business we generate with Marriott. That being said, the service at this location was sub-par at best. Due to excellent customer service at all other locations, I would expect the same at this location. The attitude of the employee who worked the front desk for most of our stay was indifferent. This was a very special vacation for my adult autistic son. He has not been able to travel for quite some time. I was told we were in a great room. Maybe, if you consider an In and Out burger sign almost with in reach of the window. As we walked in and out of the hotel, I am accustomed to a greeting from the front desk staff. This was not the case as most of the time they were to busy talking about football and other things. Around the 9:00 on the first night we requested 2 more pillows, we had to call 3 times. After a busy day sightseeing we got back to the room and the glasses were not replenished. I called the front desk and asked for glasses, the person hesitated, I said there was a room attendant down the hall, he said he would stay on the line while I walked down to see if this person had glasses on his cart. So I went and got drinking glasses on my own. The lady at the front desk on the day of check out was not at all dressed to what I come to expect from Marriott property employees. She had on a skirt and what appeared to be a fancy tank top. being a woman it could have been something to wear under a jacket. All other employees I have seen are dressed in a professional manner to represent a great brand, Marriott. I dont often take the time to write about an less than perfect experience, but this one was so different from all of my other experiences I was compelled to let you know. I rated the stay and recommendation a 7 could have been a 10 and I am a loyal Marriott customer and consider this a one off and hope someone will look into the what appears to be loose management.
Courtyard San Francisco Fisherman’s wharf is located on Beach Ave. We stayed here to watch the concert at AT&T park. The location is excellent because you can catch a Muni bus at the corner close to the hotel so it is no problem going places. Staff at the hotel knows how to take care of their customers, very friendly, warm, welcoming and knows the City very well. Thank you for making us feel at home with your great service. We shall return!!

Very nice folks at front desk. Rooms were clean. Room couch wasnt too comfortable to sit on. Hotel is perfect location for North Beach, Fishermans Wharf, Ghirardelli and Pier 39.
Typical Courtyard. Staff was pleasant and professional. Room was clean but a bit dated... However, paid out the nose for the room. Need I say more
Great location!! Nice to have a mini fridg but be careful because it turns off after 2 hrs so you have to remember to keep turning it back on. It would be nice to have a microwave. Over all the room is clean and comfortable. I think it is a great value and would stay here again.
The Courtyard by Marriott at Fishermans Wharf is a great place to stay if you are looking for walking distance to great food and entertainment. The hotel is very clean and has great staff from valet to check in to cleaning. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return trip.
