Sam was our tour guide! He was the best. Super fun! I learned a lot about the cities history. Good training and safety prep/training ensured we all had a fun, safe time. Brian, the owner was very accommodating and made us feel welcomed. I showed up for my tour at the wrong site but he got us right in and set up without blinking an eye. The gentleman that checked us in was patient; just a really nice guy. My husband and I had the best time. I highly recommend.

I was super excited for this tour as I had never ridden a Segway before. I felt like the odd one out of the group as I felt like I was slower than the others to learn how to operate it but with practice and amazing help from them I learned it quickly :) - the tour was also amazing as going around San Francisco with the guide (Jack) was very informational! They had aspects of professionalism while also being cool at the same time, I have to give my kudos to the team. Unfortunately I didn’t have a great time in San Francisco that day but this tour was the only sunshine for me that day. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend booking a tour with the Electric Tour Company!

This is a required activity! So fun and the learning curve is pretty low. We had a great guide- Devin- who made sure we were all comfortable before leaving for the tour. Really made a difference! The owner is very nice as well, just nice to support a locally owned business!

My family of 2 teens, 2 adults took the Fishermans Wharf, Waterfront & North Beach tour. The four of us had never used a Segway before. They offered excellent training, we all quickly felt comfortable, always safe. Although Segway tours in general are pricey, SF Segway Tours offers excellent value, tons of time out on tour its both a fun activity and great way to see the sites. The icing on the cake was our guide Susan who is both professional in his instruction, concern for safety and information on the area, and a cool, fun, friendly, awesome guy. Will definitely book again - ask for Susan!

This tour was so fun!! We definitely got to learn a lot about San Francisco while riding on super fun segways!!! This is definitely worth the money. Honestly our tour guide, Brandon, made the experience 10x better. He answered all questions and knew so much about the city! All the staff there was very helpful and funny. We booked Sunset Chinatown & Little Italy Segway Tour (NIGHTTOUR) 6:30 PM.Training before starting the tour was very useful in making me comfortable driving segway.Our tour guide Michael was very good. He took good care of us. He gave us lots of historical facts about the city.I would highly recommend this tour.

We enjoy Segway tours and decided to see more of Golden Gate Park up close. The staff gives you a quick lesson mainly for safety and there is a quick video to watch. There is a little practice time and then you are off with your tour guide. We went out in a group of eight. Our guide was very informative and interesting. We learned a lot about Golden Gate Park that we would not have just walking or driving. Being on a Segway makes it all lots of fun. Dont be afraid to try it. If you can ride a bicycle, you can Segway!

This is the best way to view the hills in the city! If you prove competence, you might be able to take the advanced tour and see more of the city. Melanie was an amazing guide who mixed humor and fun facts about the city. She has extensive knowledge of the city. Really enjoyed seeing all of the views and tackling Lombard Street! She prepared us well and kept us safe the entire time on the tour! Highly recommend!

Second time I’ve been on a tour with this company, returning for a superb advanced Segway tour with Jordan. Great guide who made the experience so much more enjoyable and as there were only me and my Son on the tour it was like having a private tour guide. Get to Segway up and down the steepest streets in San Fran, including Lombard Street (twice).

I typically only write reviews if I had a really bad or an amazing experience. This was definitely an amazing experience. We had Brandon as a tour guide and he was amazing.  None of us have ridden a electric scooter and 1 member of the group just wasnt comfortable on it. Brandon had no issues and made it clear safety was his priority. Brandon helped us switch over to Segways (none of us have ever ridden one and 1 member of the group was kinda scared, but Brandon was patient and allowed us to train and practice as much as we needed to) and by the end of the trip we felt very comfortable riding them and had a great time.The private tour we did gave us the luxury of deciding which route to take. Brandon made it fun and relaxing. If you get Brandon as a tour guide youll have a lot of fun and learn about great local spots and ride through cool alleyways. Definitely book with Electric Tour Company. They have been doing this for over a decade so they are definitely the company to go with for any electric tours (scooters. Segway, Tuk-tuk vans etc.)

Love love loved it! It was my first time doing a Segway tour (did it with a club from ASU to tour the city) and I loved every minute of it. If you want to take a Segway tour for just the dry history of San Fran and not have fun, then I would suggest maybe a different tour company. BUT if you are a fun person and want to just explore then hands down do this tour company. I loved our tour guide. She gave historical facts and pointed out places while also making funny comments about random things and pointing out cool random houses. It was very laid back and fun while being safe at the same time because you are on the busy roads. They make sure you are trained and know how to drive the segways and if you are nervous they will keep you at the front of the pack and help you throughout the way. Highly suggest them!

Katie was a great guide, very friendly and funny, and knew a whole lot about the city. We took the Wharf, Waterfront and Little Italy Segway Tour and it was advertised as a two hour tour that started at 9am but it ended up lasting until 1130 so anybody thats trying to cram as many activities into their schedule as possible should beware. Also youll end up taking a break at a big warehouse of old fashioned arcade games so its a good idea to bring some quarters.

Our tour guide Cass was fantastic!!!! She was full of knowledge and history of the city and also funny.We learned a lot about the city, and enjoyed our first segway experience. Our group had 10 people, it was the perfect sized group.

I took this tour with probably around 30 or more people attending. They did a fantastic job managing the crowds and keeping us all organized and trained appropriately. Cass was our tour guide, and she was incredibly peppy, passionate, and excited the entire time (with fantastic jokes). The tour was safe but we were all able to have fun, and Cass was very knowledgeable about the city. Thanks for a great time!

Did the Segway tour a few time with different guides. It has been a couple years since then so I’m sorry but I don’t remember the guides names. I did the all the tours except the advanced. Had a blast. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. Would def recommend.

This is a fabulous adventure and the scenery is beautiful. I have lived in this community most of my life and did not have the fortune of getting to ride the Skunk Train until recently. It was one of my most memorable days. I recommend it to tourist and locals alike. The price is very reasonable and well worth it. They have several special adventures throughout the year that are worth looking into...

Tre was an awesome tour guide. I never would have guessed segways could be so much fun. The whole family went (I have a college-age son and a high schooler, and they still wanted to try it out). Even though we have tripped around SF so many times, there is always something new for us to discover and try. After the segway tour around Fishermans Warf and Little Italy, we wanted to buy our own segways.

This was our first time on a segway ever, and the staff helped us learn the ropes! They were so encouraging and helpful. Kelly was our tour guide; he was fun and uplifting. He was quick to action and quick to check on the group! We had SO much fun on our tour and laughed the entire way! I highly recommend this tour!!!

The guided Segway tour is a fantastic way to see Golden Gate Park. Our guide, Kelly, was informative, entertaining and conscientious. First they trained us how to ride the Segway and then Kelly took us on a 2.5 hour tour of the park. Our group ranged in age from 70s to teens. Everyone has a wonderful time. I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend! We had Jesse as our tour guide. We had never been on a Segway until this trip. The training that they give you beforehand makes you feel comfortable before you set out. This company provides you headsets so your guide can talk to you the whole time telling you about the history of San Francisco and giving us directions as when to stop, turn and go! I didn’t want our tour to end because we had so much fun!

WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES (it’s in the small print) Otherwise you get the Krocs of days gone by. We did the park tour and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. We had a blast and there wasn’t a single hiccup past the shoe thing. Highly recommended and well worth it.

My husband and I took the 2.5 hour night tour. It was a lot of fun riding the Segway alongside other vehicles. Our instructor was knowledgeable and entertaining. We have taken a Segway tour earlier in Portland, and although we shouldnt be comparing that with the SF tour, we felt this one was a bit slow, mainly because of the bad roads and the route being many SF streets and covering major city tourist attractions. Overall it was a fun thing to do in SF.

The Golden Gate Park Segway tour with Kelly was awesome! We traveled smoothly on paved roads, bike lanes, paths, and wooded trails throughout the park. We experienced beautiful scenery, picturesque photo ops, interesting information and history all along the way. It is an excellent adventure through Golden Gate Park, for locals and tourists alike.

Was a an excellent tour with an even better tour guide (Carlos). Carlos was informative, ran a fun tour and made sure everyone had a great experience. Traditional tours take pictures and want to sell you pictures at a crazy price. These guys will take pictures of you using your own camera. Even made sure to take video of my family individually. I highly recommend this company.

We had a great afternoon with these guys. The service was second to none.Youre given all the equipment and safety gear you need. They take you through some thorough training and do a great job of putting people at ease. We had a young girl in our group who was in tears to begin with despite the support from her mum and dad. The tour instructors were so great with her and it was wonderful to see her flying along in no time.Riding the segways turned out to be much easier than I expected. No broken bones or anything!Our guide (Kelly) was patient, polite, informative and interesting. He took us around Golden Gate Park pointing out items of interest along the way and backed it up with historical facts and stories. He also took a raft of photos and also took photos on peoples personal cameras as well.Give it a go, youll love it.

We took the steam engine #45 trip. I am so glad we did this. If you go, make sure you ride at least some of the time in the open car. We were still full from breakfast, so we didnt try the BBQ in North spur, but we did have a blackberry sundae from one of the vendors. We had a soft pretzel from the food car on the way back. Bring cash!

Our guide was Tre and he was awesome. I was a little uncomfortable initially but he was a great instructor and within 5 minutes I totally got it!He was very knowledgeable and had great commentary during our tour of the city. Also he was very safe, I really appreciated how safety conscience he was. San Francisco can be a little crazy and he made us all feel very safe.

The tour was nice, yet very slow due to the amount of people. The guide was amazing, really funny and easy going with tons of stories all the way. Yet, the preparation took forever even when we mentioned we are experienced and proved it on the run. Repeating notes by video, mouth and on the device. Once would have been enough.

My wife, daughter (18) and I took the two and a half hour tour through the local streets and along the piers at 2pm on a clear day. Two of us had never been on a Segway before. The initial orientation to a Segway was excellent and the guided tour through the streets was well planned and very safe. Nic was a brilliant and entertaining guide.

Did the Golden Gate Park tour. Had a blast. Very fun to learn to ride. Lots of interesting facts about the park that I never new. The guide, Dane, seemed very knowledgeable. And he was fun and personable.

A wonderful, fun, professional, and entertaining experience. The tour took us through many of the streets of San Francisco, and our guide provided constant interesting information as we went. A few times we stopped for photos, such as overlooking the bay and Alcatraz. The tour started with some training, but it went fast and the segways were very easy to ride. The your required us to follow the guide through the streets for safety, which was fine, but we were let free a few times to go where we wanted, which was pretty fun. Our tour guide was awesome, friendly and funny, and the weather was perfect. It was so much fun, a great way to see the city, and Id do it again in an instant.

We had a great tour with Stephan on the San Francisco Segway Night Tour of Chinatown North Beach Little Italy Wharf and WaterfrontNice, small group of nine people and an entertaining and engaging tour guide made the tour an especially enjoyable experience.I had never been on a Segway before, neither had most in the group, but after about 30 minutes of training we were all ready and confident:-)(It made for an even more personal experience when Stephan managed to learn all our names within the first five minutes. Give this guy a raise.)

My girlfriend and I did the Advanced hills and crooked st segway tour. Our tour guide was Jordan. Awesome guy, funny, and he makes sure everyone is having a great time.Going down crooked street was a great experience, and just going down 2 of the steepest Hills was a scary thing, but it was fun, and now we can say we have done true downhill.My girlfriend and I go to city to city renting segways and this was our favorite for sure. Newport beach Huntington Beach, and Catalina Island were really great too.

Great tour with a great tour guide. She took us around Fishermans Wharf and gave us a little history lesson. We had training on the Segway before the tour started, and I was completely comfortable riding a Segway at the end. The hills in San Francisco completely disappear when you are on a Segway.

My husband and teen age daughter took the 2 1/2 hr segway tour in Golden Gate Park. It was one of the best things we did while visiting San Francisco! It was so much fun and we also learned so much about the park. We only had one day to see the park and would not have been able to see and learn what we did on our own just by walking it! Besides that- segways are a blast! Bailey, our guide was terrific and made it amazing! This tour is a must-do for visitors to San Francisco! Worth every penny!

So we traveled all the way to San Francisco just to try out some segways to prepare for a segway tour in Rome. However, when we arrived, none of the Segway companies that we contacted would allow us to simply test out these very entertaining modes of transportation. This company happily invited us to not only test out the segways, but they also provided an excellent crash course for a small fee!! The staff were knowledgeable, patient, and very fun during the small training session. I highly recommend this company!!!

The park was amazing, the guide was charismatic and loveable and the segways themselves were good. Only thing I didnt like were the earbuds we got for our walkie talkies. The guide said themselves they were low quality and disposable and I noticed. They kept cutting out and even after asking for a new pair. Would have been easy 5 starts if there were maybe some mid-quality on-ear headphones instead

My wife and I had a great time on an S&E Segway tour we did in April 2014. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they provided a good amount of time to train people with the Segways before the ride. We did an early Sunday morning group and there was only six of us; I think this gave our guide more flexibility on where he took us. Our guide was Carey and he was very entertaining; he took good care of us. He took our group to the Aquatic park pier and let us roam free at the end of the tour; this was my favorite part of the tour! We were able to see a good amount of San Francisco in a short amount of time. The Segways had no problems with the hills in SF. I would recommend this to any one!

Nice guide. Super slow people around. Guide is only focused on them. That makes the tour boring. Tour setup feels like good for Segways but not the POIs of the city. Guide says hell takes the pictures. But no pictures taken of the city.

I came into my segway tour of Golden Gate Park not knowing what to expect. I had never used a segway before, and I wasnt really sure how Id really be able to really enjoy a tour while attempting to ride one. I left the tour wanting to book another one! A segway is the perfect way to tour Golden Gate Park, and Electric Tour Company provides a great tour and fun experience! The afternoon started with a quick segway tutorial and safety lesson. Their instructors made everything really easy to understand, so I didnt feel like a beginner for long. After that, our tour began. Devin was a great guide. He was funny and was able to tell us so much about the history or the park (he also seemed to know a bit about funk music!). Even though I had visited the park a few times before, I learned so much more on the tour, and I even saw some parts of the park I hadnt experienced before. Riding a segway was also just really fun. We got to ride on and off pavement, and up and down slopes. If you are visiting the city and want a fun overview of the area, I recommend taking a tour with the Electric Tour Company. Even if you live in the area, check them out! Maybe youll learn something new about the city.

I took the tour recently on my first trip to San Francisco. This was a great way to get to see a lot of different areas of the city in a very unique way.The tour guides are excellent when it comes to explaining how to use the Segways and providing interesting tidbits during the tour.

Best tour I ever had. So much fun to drive a segway. They take a lot of time to teach you all the basics and to make sure you have learnt them. Be prepared for the cold, but it was totally worth it. Our tour guide, Amber, was great and we all got to see quite a lot of San Francisco while having a lot of fun.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! The tour guide named Melanie was incredible. She was so talented and taught my entire family how to ride a segway in 10 minutes. She was knowledgeable and always cracking jokes. She even knew when the traffic lights would turn red. We enjoyed our tour tremendously and are thinking about doing another one. She answered all of our questions and gave lots of recommendations on things to do in the city. She was welcoming and friendly. She even provided us with gloves, cool helmets, and ponchos. She was very considerate of bathroom breaks and gave us feet breaks when we needed it. She was very enthusiastic about her job and even gave us cute fake doctorates saying we graduated from segway navigation. I will remember this experience for the rest of my life. I began in tears because I was so scared of segwaying and her enthusiasm gave me the confidence to actually get on the segway. Best experience ever!

This was a fantastic experience! Ive never ridden a Segway and they really take the time to make sure you know what you are doing before you go out. I didnt think the Segways would do well on those hills, but they were great. No problem going downhill either. Our guide, Tre, was fantastic! Very informative as he narrated much of SF history and pointed out some great eating spots. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!
