More than Id like to have spent on a haircut ($42 for a cut) but one of the nicest ones Ive ever had. The barber is also very charismatic, making you feel comfortable and finishing in a reasonable amount of time. Works well to make sure you have the cut you want.

Mr. Stewart is out of this world. His barbershop is a classic and has been in business since the 1960’s. I actually learned a lot about San francisco through his stories. He takes his time to provide the best services. He gives you genuine advice about anything and above all makes u feel great about your hair cut. If u love history, classic vibes and great hair cut. Mr. Stewart has been cutting my hair for four years and Ive gotten three promotions and four raises since he started doing it. Im just saying... The egg shampoo is a must when your hair and scalp need some moistening. Bring your own egg! Highly recommended.

Update: Awesome place, just the classic barber shop vibe. Good atmosphere and very chill. Unlike most places in SF, here they actually know how to cut black hair and that is definitely a plus for me.And its back open again after covid!

This is everything you want in a barber shop - quiet, interesting but not intrusive conversation, and good cut. learned a lot about the area from Stew, who has been cutting hair in the Haight since the early 60s. highly recommended.

The owner is an expert at cutting hair, but $40 for a trim is a bit too much for me.

A real professional. He listened to what I wanted, he took the time, and his experience shows- honestly, I dont know if Ive ever gotten a better haircut.
