Called ahead to ask if they cut long hair and beard, they said yes no problem. I get home and look closer to find my beard and neck are not even cleaned up or lined up right. Seemed like he was in a hurry, I had to ask him to even clean up the sides and back of my neck. I called with plans to go back in and have him make it right he got irate and started making excuses that he had customers waiting blah blah and wouldn’t let me speak before yelling and hanging up on me. Worst haircut I’ve ever had, would not recommend this place.

Great atmosphere, charismatic barbers who know what theyre doing and impressive cuts. I would definitely recommend and refer your services to everyone without any hesitation. It was a nice experience for me for the first time. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! Such phenomenal assistance and performance.

Ran into Nigel at my job, invited me over to get a trim. Great haircut. True barber style haircut. Fresh looking. Clean.. Extremely happy with their work. Tell all my work friends about it. Decided to get a hair trim last minute before new years. Saw that there are a couple of barber shop open that day and read the glowing reviews of Pro-Style barber shop. I m super careful about who trims my hair (it usually turns out bad) but surprisingly, I actually thought it was a decent haircut considering this to be my first time getting my hair cut here. I have to say Nigel did an amazing job - after letting my hair grow out a bit a week later, I felt really good about my haircut. Its $35 per haircut (excluding tips) but definitely worth it. Nigel is your typical classic barber and I loved the hot towel + blow afterwards. No hair wash but totally cool with it. Highly recommended.

I have been coming to Pro Style for 4.5 years. Highly recommend coming here. My man Nigel always gives me the cleanest cut and is just an all around awesome guy. You will not find a better haircut and value in San Francisco. Unfortunately I had to move to Washington DC and can only hope I find a barber half as good as Nigel there.

I have been coming to Pro-Style for the past two years. Nigel is a great barber and one of the few in the area who knows how to give a traditional barbershop haircut. He makes time for his regulars. Shop is conveniently located at Three Embarcadero Center just two blocks from market street.

When I first moved to the bay area I tried a different barber each month trying to find someone who wouldnt butcher my hair. After a dozen bad haircuts I lucked into Nigel and 4 years later hes still making me look good. Ive gotten married and 3 promotions since - coincidence???? I think not!*Ignore the bad reviews, this place is great on all accounts. They give great cuts, its affordable, and the atmosphere is down-to-earth (not a hoighty-toighty ripoff where youre surrounded by tech bros).

Was off to a odd start with the barber channel surfing on the tv while I was sitting in the chair. But very happy with my cut and one of the only places open at 9 am on a monday in the area.

FYI, They are not open to 6:30 on Friday. I called to schedule a 6pm appointment, and they said they do not even stay open that late. Heads up. No suggestion for when they are open til. I let them know the time they are listed, and they said it must be someone else. (Dont trust Googles listed hours of operation I guess.)

Took 2 other guests before me, even though I booked an appointment. Not a talented barber either. He can only cut basic hair and has no real ability to style. My long hair ended up uneven and messy.

I must’ve been very unlucky as no one else has reported a poor experience, but I received here the worst hair cut in my entire life. It was comically poor, with chunks of hair behind my ears missed entirely.Your hair is cut with you looking away from the mirror (possibly the norm in the US, but not so elsewhere in the world in my experience). I had no idea how poor the job was until it was “finished”. It was so bad, I didn’t trust them to repair the damage and left as quickly as I could to find somewhere else.

I laugh at the people saying they got the worst hair cut of their life here, any barber ive ever gone to runs a mirror around your head before they finish up. You didnt see or say anything at that point? My boys get trimmed up here (i would too if i wasnt bald now) Nigel makes them look professional and presentable, which is hard to do.

Nigel is a class act real barber. If youre looking for a hair salon try somewhere else. If you want a real barber shop, stop in. He can cut anyones hair, however you like it. He has a wide range of customers being at the embarcadero center. I make the trek all the way to sf from the eastbay just to see Mr Nigel. Hes that good.

Classic barber shop that gets it done. $27 for a mens cut. Got a cut with Armando. Cleans up side burns and the back with a razor. He can do the cut with all scissors or clippers, if you want it tight.Main downside is cash only.
