This is a great beach bungalow for our vacation - right on Mission bay, enough room for 3 adults and a toddler to live comfortably for a week. Its walking distance to several cute coffee shops/ restaurants in Mission Beach. Youll love!

I rented one of their properties in Ocean Beach, San Diego. My review for the house is below. Working with Penny Realty was also a breeze, they were very responsive and there were no issues.Loved this beach house! I came with my family and it was perfect. There is a ground floor bedroom with walk-in shower that is good for any older people, and suited my 94 year old grandma very well. The other bedrooms are upstairs. The main dining area, living area and downstairs patio has direct views of the sand and waves. We were worried that grandma wouldnt be able to see the waves from the patio because of how broad the beach was, but you are able to see crashing waves so that was great. It is very easy to spend time on the patio and it is pretty spacious, easily fit all 6 of us staying there. There are two TV/living areas in case one part of the house is going to bed earlier than the other. The kitchen was very functional, but if you need things like tin foil and baggies you should bring your own. The beach out front is great, with direct sand access from the patio. When we were there there was a rip current on the beach directly in front of us, but the lifeguards recommended just moving one lifeguard station up. There are about 10 bonfire rings on the beach just in front of and slightly north of the house. We went during grunion run season (pretty prolonged march-august) and there was an amazing turn out on night 3 of the run just to the south of us, between the stone break and the pier, but almost nothing on night 4! Overall, a nice cozy beach house. Not super modern or gonna wow you with style, but definitely clean, put together, thoughtful furniture, and well done.

Moving from Texas to San Diego find a great apartment my husband and I leaser was Alessa from Penny Realty the process was fast and easy she kept her word and was very helpful with everything if you need help or looking for a place go to her couldn’t do a in person tour so we did a virtual tour of the apartment was very nice 😊👏🏾

We really enjoyed this property! It was right next to the beach (cove) and across the street from the main beach (Mission Beach). It is within walking distance of the jet ski, boat, kayak, etc rentals. All kitchen appliances and tv worked. The wifi wasnt great, so we didnt stay connected to it. There is no real front door since the entrance is through the main bedroom or through the sliding door, but that wasnt an issue for us. We were able to check in after hours with their system so that was great! Checkout was easy. Really enjoyed and would recommend.

I live at a property they manage and had some issues with my kitchen sink and one of my toilets leaking, as well as the floor in another upstairs bathroom coming apart. It’s an old beach house, and while charming, needed a little TLC. Once I told my property manager (Jennifer) about everything, she got the right people out here to assess and fix the issues with very little turnaround. The repairs were completed expediently, and everything seems to be holding up well and stronger than ever before. I just wanted to reach out and thank Jennifer for her professionalism and thorough pragmatism in helping us remedy the issues that we had. And also for her patience and superlative communication with me that helped me understand the process of how home work orders are carried out. She knows what shes doing and Im happy to feel like were in good hands knowing that she oversees the operations at our property. Cheers.

My roommate and I finished moving out of the unit we lived in for a year and part of the pleasant experience we had there was due to Jennifer Woods. She was very diligent with keeping up with our HOA to fix a plumbing problem that occurred and was always easy to reach and wonderful to work with. Jennifer was very timely and dedicated to making sure we were happy and comfortable. We were moving from out of state and the Penny Realty team was more than accommodating to do a zoom tour which not many other management companies were offering, even during covid. I loved this rental! It was much nicer inside than I expected. Clean and functional. The proximity to the beach is unmatched and the dog beach was only a 5 minute stroll in the sand. All the windows and sliding doors made it easy to let the ocean breeze in. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds were comfortable and rooms roomy. There was some concern on the balcony with our small dogs. We didnt feel safe having them out there because the rails are too far apart. However that was a minor inconvenience. Overall there was nothing more I wanted or needed. We had a wonderful time. Parked the car when we arrived and didnt drive again until we left. Heck, I didnt even wear shoes the entire stay. :)

We had a great stay at the Bayfront property that we booked through Penny Realty. Great communication, and a comfortable and well appointed home. Will book again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The deck was a favorite place for all of us to sit and enjoy the weather. I enjoyed the short walk to the bay with my granddaughter in the morning to collect little shells. No air conditioning but they have ceiling fans and a few extra fans to help. They had beach toys, a wagon and a few beach chairs to help with our beach time. Very cute place. Thank you for the fun time!

Penny realty is the third property management company that weve used in just over a year. The first two were horrible. They were unresponsive, unprofessional and made several mistakes that cost us a lot of money. I called to see if I can make a reservation, I had two gentlemen help me I only remembered one name. But Jeff helped approved our last minute vacation rental that we got to enjoy starting the DAY OF. They were super fast and efficient. When I got there, everything was super squeaky clean! The views were... well you’re just gonna have to see for yourself! So amazing sunsets will never be the same unless I’m looking at it from my living room window or balcony. We loved it so much we got two more days! There were some hiccups, my door knob fell off late night on the first day but someone came the next morning. Then on my day of check out I accidentally broke a mirror... talk about bad luck. But Jeff took care of everything. He was so helpful and understood I wasn’t at fault. When I come to visit I’m def staying at one of their rentals again. My family rented Decked Out I and Decked Out II twice in five years. We just finished our second vacation there and both were wonderful experiences. The houses were clean and well maintained with minor wear and tear that most rentals come with.The service of the staff is great. They allowed us to check in early and also allowed me to check in for the reservation under my aunt’s name. Overall they are an easy going down to earth group of people.The clean up process was easy, they cover everything, only asking us to gather towels and run the dish washer. They are not nit picky the way some places can be. It was nice to just leave the place after several nights.We are excited to return again in a few years and we will most likely get this place or another Penny Realty place.

If youre looking for a very clean, comfortable place to stay at Mission Beach that is only a few steps away from the boardwalk and ocean, then this is the place that you want! We rented this affordable beach house to accommodate my family of 4 and 3 adult in-laws. This place was spacious and comfortable in that we all had our own private bathrooms and balconies. We didnt use the living room as a living room per say, but it worked out perfectly as the 2 children slept on the pull out sofa beds and my son was able to hook up his play station (which is important to 10 yr old boys lol.) The bottom level was a communal space where we would hang out to read and play board games on the front porch, grill out, cook and eat. I would like to note, that all the necessities are there, just in case you forget anything (i.e. pots, pans, blankets, iron, ironing board, hair dryers, etc.) as well as there was a brand new gas grill, washer and dryer for us to use. I would have to honestly say that this is the best vacation place weve stayed at Mission Beach, and we have been going there every year for the past 10 years. We absolutely are thinking about booking this place again next summer when we go back.

Jennifer takes care of me every time I have any thing come up with my apartment! She is very understanding, flexible, and timely with her work. I was over seas while apartment searching and found a great unit through Penny Realty. Aleesa the leasing agent was incredibly accommodating and made the process extremely simple.

We rented a 2 bed/ 2 bath condo through Penny Realty on Mission Blvd and enjoyed our stay. It was a nice clean place that had everything one needs for comfort. The beds were comfortable, there were pillows, towels, and blankets aplenty, and it is super close to both Sea World and the beach. The place was very family friendly and there is a coin laundry for the building downstairs. I will definitely stay there again next time I’m in San Diego. Thanks Penny Realty!

It is literally on the beach- open the door and step into the sand, a pizzeria, grocery store. House is big and cozy, great streaming and entertainment. Thoughtfully placed seating areas- see the sea, sunset, surfers.....Great house for people with toddlers, so much sand and so close to seaworld!

The Cool Breeze2810 Mission Blvd # BI am making changes to this review since the property management company was very professional about correcting the concerns of the property. The property was not rent ready when we leased it. It has been brought to my attention that it has been correctly repaired and is in working order. The company strives to make their guests happy and do what is right by their customers. The property came with many issues; however, Penny Realty did resolve them. The owners care about customer relations.The vacation home is situated in a great location. It has parking for two vehicles which is very nice in Mission Beach. Parking here is very difficult. We rented a Ford Explorer and had no issue parking in the space provided. It is conveniently located close to the bay and ocean.

Jennifer Woods and Patricia Terry totally dismissed the concerns of residents and pass the buck. Was told to not contact them and speak to the owner directly. Property management companies are supposed to solve issues for owners & residents, not create them. Very disrespectful.

Extremely professional staff. One aspect of this company that stands out from the others, is the simplicity of their leasing process. I was fond of a particular apartment, inquired about and Two days later had the entire process taken care of. I was able to provide them with a deposit, proof of income, credit in a swiftly fashion and they were able to move at my speed making this process quick and painless. My leasing agent Aleesa has ensured that my needs were met prior to moving in and check in to make sure the place was to my standards. I like quality and simplicity and this company offers that.

Great stay right on the beach with a spacious unit and clean, with three bedrooms and two large sitting areas. The view from the master bedroom and upstairs sitting area were heavenly. We watched sunrise/sunset and waves while sipping ones drinks. The host provided a Keurig for easy access to coffee and other hot drinks. Too cold to swim during the week but the storm brought in huge waves that were tremendous to watch right from the back upstairs porch! The unit is very close to OB pier and town, with great restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy, and florists. Great beach town vibe and local character. The units backyard is a public beach, with volleyball net posts for summer fun. Very well maintained and stocked unit. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay and hope to be back!

Ive used them to manage my property since 2008. There was a high turnover in the past. My manager kept changing and I have had bad experience with some. Then, there was a time when my unit was 5 months empty because of neighbor harassment at showing. There wasnt any incentive for Penny Realty to fill the unit since they still got pay when its empty. Upon review, we changed the agreement and now, no payment if the unit is empty. Right now I have an awesome manager, Patricia Terry. She helps me as much as she could, care about the tenant rights, and very knowledgeable. I hope Penny Realty does everything they can to retain her.

My husband and I have been renting a beautiful house near the beach from Penny Realty for almost two years now. They have been nothing but accommodating, and pleasant. Any time we ever need anything theyre quick to respond and truly care about taking care of their tenants. We recently booked a stay in Mission Beach through Penny Realty and cant say enough great things about their staff and service! Jeff was terrific and set up everything for us to make it as easy as possible. Our holiday was great and carefree and we will definitely be using them again!

I recently had an issue with my fridge not working. I must say that David Chang who works at Penny Realty was fantastic! He was quick to respond to my initial email, and he communicated with me every step of the way. It was a relief to know that David took his role seriously and assisted me professionally and promptly.

I love love love the vacation rental I stayed in through this company! The location was perfect! Situated centrally between Mission and Pacific Beach. They offered boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas as a courtesy. The manager there Brittany Hunter was professional and very nice. I would highly recommend using this company for your next vacation!

Penny Realty tries their hardest to keep their costs reasonably priced while staying within market value. They are prompt to respond to issues and consider the needs of the tenants more often than any previous management companies that I have dealt with. I appreciate working with the staff that works there.

Worked with Penny Realty this past weekend as they are the managing agent for a VRBO rental that we stayed in (Bobby Ds Beach House). We loved the house and we really enjoyed working with Jeff. He was prompt and thorough and just a pleasure to work with. Penny Realty was easy to do business with and we are just all around happy with everything.
