Overall, my experience at Pacific Bay Club was extremely positive. This was my first time renting, so there were a lot of unknowns at the beginning, but now I can say I was definitely quite lucky to have chosen this as my first apartment.Michelle and Varunee at the leasing office were extremely helpful for any and all questions that I asked during my 9 month stay. Any repairs or maintenance that I ordered were quick and the staff was always respectful. I had essentially no noise complaints. Parking was not a problem at all, as we had assigned spaces, with a courtesy dispatch as well, just in case someone was in your space. The studio that I rented was quite roomy. Though I dont remember the exact square footage, it was definitely larger than most studios I had researched. The studio had been recently remodeled and was in excellent condition. There was a balcony that faced the 5 freeway, so you could hear a bit of noise if you had the sliding door open, but other than that it wasnt too bad.The surrounding Bay Ho neighborhood seemed quite safe and friendly, so that was a big plus too.
My wife and I have lived here approaching two years now. Pacific Bay is clean, in a convenient location to the expressways, has friendly residents, and offers a good value to the market cost of livingThe past year, management has changed personnel. Michelle M is the new manager. The times that Ive had to email or talk to management in person have always been interacted with by Michelle. I cant stress enough that she has always taken the time to fully listen to my concerns, that my concerns do matter, that they have been addressed, and that she truly does care about the happiness and well-being of the residents. Sincere thank you, Michelle! Youre an asset to Pacific Bay!In regards to any maintenance thats been needed, the repairs have always been responded to in a very timely manner. Also, the maintenance repairman Manny is polite, professional, and courteous. Our repair requests have always been performed correctly by him the first time. In addition, the other maintenance people that keep the property clean are always friendly and smilingOverall, my wife and I feel we made a great choice living here!
After living here at The Pacific Bay Club for going on 5 years now I have to say that very few apts in my past(I’m 65) have I enjoyed more. Our 2Bdm/2Bath apt has become just the right size for my roomate and myself. Each of us require some hrs of privacy during the day & these apts are planned out well. When it comes to each other’s noise there rarely comes a time when I have to complain! All the employees here are wonderful hard working men & women who enjoy their jobs( they’ve told me!)The grounds are beautiful along with that georgous 3pm southerly wind. So temperatures here are a pretty constant “lovely.”Our neighbors are wonderful & diversified.I would recommend these apts to anyone who wishes the same as I do!
I do not usually write reviews, but just wanted to say that I have been EXTREMELY happy about living here for the past year. The staff is so sweet and friendly and the place is kept clean all the time and best of all it is QUIET. The maintenance and landscape staff are all polite, dedicated, responsive and do a great job. I am so thankful to be here.
I honestly had such a fantastic experience with Pacific Bay Club! It was my first solo, self-leasing apartment and the management made the process as least stressful as I could have hoped for. The communitys perfectly situated in the middle of SD in midst of a peaceful suburban neighborhood, and all my neighbors were quite respectful toward each other. The amenities are pretty solid and the apartments are good for the cost. Management was so professional and warm always; Michelle and Varunee were always so cheerful and helpful, and even Manny from maintenance went above and beyond with taking care of any issues. Truly, the only issue I had was that my apartment was surrounded by a lot of foliage, which I liked but it increased moisture levels significantly and required excessive ventilation to avoid mildew growth (make sure you get some damprids and keep those windows open). Theres also no guest parking but plenty of street parking (albeit empty spots may be a far-ish walk). Overall would absolutely recommend PBC to anyone looking for studios to two bedrooms!
Had a perfectly decent year of living here spoiled by the landlord jacking up the effective monthly rent by nearly 20% all because we didnt want to sign up for another year lease. They use some extremely questionable tactics in their lease to circumvent CA laws on providing proper notice and gave us 35 days to give our 30 days notice if we wanted to move out New years eve. When we tried to find a term of lease that would work for us, the landlord barely budged below their month-to-month rate. I would never trust this company not to screw you over!
Sounds like sour grapes to me I’ve been there 8 years easy access to the freeway... office staff friendly helpful professional.. maintenance nearly immediately clean quiet safe
I love here!
Many problems with this place. Most recently got an email for some packages that got delivered to the office with hours on when I could pick them up. Went to the leasing office to pick up packages only to have the latest (of many people as they keep changing) turn me away saying she was going on lunch and even though I told I was just picking up packages, which takes 2 minutes, was told to come back in an hour and had the door slammed in my face and locked. Would not recommend this place. This is just one of many incidents. Also it is raining and I am drenched for no good reason now
Raising the laundry rates is ridiculous 2.29 for light soil wash. Smaller washers and 2.29 for dry 45 min. With all the extras 6 dollars a load what a rip off. Stuffy apartment no fan, moisture issues, barely any hot water. Awful parking if you have more than one car. If it wasnt for the location, the apartment, carport and the initial first year good experience I would move.
Positives: location, close to Claremont and PB. Half way between La Jolla and Hillcrest. On a hill, has a nice view of the town.Negatives:-someone broke into my car and stole valuables while parked in resident parking. asked the office to investigate, was told this is an open apt complex and anyone can walk in and out, in fact ive seen multiple homeless men walking around the apt complex and digging into the recycle bin. there is apparently a contracted security company that patrols the area a few times during the day (ive never seen them) but i feel unsafe living here.-walls are SUPER thin, i can hear fights, people yelling, crying, talking. I work nights sometimes and its basically impossible to get any sleep during the day.-the leasing staff is not the friendliest, theyve never really solved any of the problems ive addressed.-the gym is TINY and no windows so its very stuffy in there. the metal weights have rust on them and your hands smell afterwards.Overall, very dissatisfied.Im moving out in a few months. I dont recommend this place to anyone.
Horrible management. We get noise complaints when we are trying to watch a movie. The walls floors and ceilings are paper thin. I cant even watch a movie and be able to hear it without getting a noise complaint. Overall not a good place. unless your a 90 year old lady who doesnt smoke, doesnt have pets, and never makes any noise...
The apartments are small, but there is a nice pool and hot tub.
Very unprofessional! They dont know exactly what its mean costumer service
I could fine everything I needed,and fast
They raise the rent more than current market value every year
