I am the facilities manager for a San Diego North County manufacturing firm. 6 years ago when we moved into this building we discovered that the air conditioning system had been neglected for approximately 10 years. We have a water sourced heat pump system that relies on cooling water from an outside evaporative cooling tower. All of our A/C units are located inside the building. The entire system from the interior A/C units to the cooling tower to the individual cooling loops was in horrible shape. Needless to say our dated and neglected system was unreliable, difficult to get to, and on the verge of collapse. Such a collapse would have shut our production efforts down. Chris Stewart knew exactly what to do. Over the course of the first year here he not only repaired our failing A/C units but made recommendations that made the system reliable again. And he has been continually there for us ever since improving the system. He has installed a new cooling tower, replaced the dissolving boiler, installed an energy efficient temperature control system and has been involved in other repair and replacement jobs as they occurred.Chris typically goes above and beyond what you would expect from other very good HVAC service providers. His word is his bond, his service is an excellent value and, above all, he partners with his clients to do what is in their best interest. You can rely on Chris Stewart and his Pacific HVAC team. He has more than earned my trust and our business.
WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN FEES LIKE CREDIT CARDS AND TRUCK PARKING CHARGES!I had them do a quick service of about 30 minutes or so. They sent me several invoices that were all for several hours of work. After many attempts to get the correct invoice from them, I finally reached a supervisor in their “customer service” department. They tried to tell me that I should pay for the truck driving all the way to La Jolla as well as his time to find parking. It’s almost like just because they saw a La Jolla address they started tacking on bogus fees. They even fired the original dispatcher who took my call for not telling me about some of their hidden fees, and yet they continue to tack them on. When we finally got to a point where I just wanted to make them go away, I made the mistake of giving them my credit card number. Guess what? MORE HIDDEN FEES. Not only did they charge my card for a totally wrong (and higher amount) than what they said they would do, they obviously are passing on their credit card fees to their customers. THIS IS ILLEGAL.When I tried to explain that they have mischarged the card, they were belligerent and hung up on me. What kind of company does that?I told them if they wouldn’t resolve this I would share my experiences online. At this point, they threatened me saying “we will come visit you if you do”.What kind of unstable person threatens physical violence to their customers?Needless to say we’re getting the police involved at this point. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Pacific HVAC.
In my position as Asst. Director for Facilities I am responsible for having the HVAC systems maintained for all of our NU properties. We started our relationship with Pacific HVAC Services from their founding, and have been extremely pleased with our relationship. Whether maintaining our current systems or providing recommendations for, and installing upgrades, they have done it all. They are extremely professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and very customer service oriented. They are extremely responsive to our service calls and I know that when they are done with a job it will be done professionaly and to industry standards & code. They routinely exceed my expectations in all that they do, and I know we are getting an exceptional HVAC service provider at a very fair and reasonable cost. It has been an outstanding relationship and I would recommend them to any organization that appreciates such efficiency, professionalism, honesty, and suburb customer service. A class act!
