I went to an event here a few weeks ago. There was no AC on the hottest day in the summer. Half of the outlets didn’t work. The outdoor stage in the back was uneven and dangerous to be on! I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They do not disclose all of their contract details either. If you use this place, have a lawyer on standby.

Great place. Clean and organized. My only complaint was theres not enough parking. I had to use a parking garage soooooo far away and hike to the venue in heels! Not to mention heightened safety issues hiking back in the middle of the night! But at least it was only $7 compared to $20 parking in the venue parking lot. Otherwise... great experience!

I came during the day to see the neighboring Train. The neighborhood is quiet and many unoccupied store fronts. So much opportunity for small businesses right next to this point of interest! Im sure in the evening when there are events this area is amazing!

Great place for wedding

This is a very beautiful,well preserved historic building. Great staff and the manager is awesome!! The food was delicious and it is in a good location, there with all the other things to do in San Antonio. If you have never been you should definitely put Historic Sunset Station on your to do list

I was planning my dream wedding here in the train station for November 2021 and they called me last week (end of June 2021)saying they cancelled my wedding, they did give me their backup hall that’s located behind the train station and reserved my date to use that, but Still nervous they’ll cancel again before November. VERY grateful to Ellen for working with us, she’s a great lady and has helped us a lot with this situation.

I attended a wedding at this location and my phone got stolen. We asked who was in charge so we could notify them what happened and if anyone turned in a phone. We just kept getting bounced around on who to ask (cleaning manager, wedding planner, event manager). And no one cared to even ask their employees if anyone saw the phone on the table when cleaning up. They just said right away, no we didn’t find a phone. When I finally got in contact with the event manager, all she said was that she didn’t see a phone, just a purse. Didn’t even care to say let me check with the 20 other people working the event. After I asked if there were any cameras in the area, she said no but she would investigate. I haven’t heard from her since. The establishment was nice looking but I wouldn’t trust the people working the event.

Phenomenal venue for social events.

The Historic Sunset Station is an amazing place to have a wedding or any special event! Recently, I photographed a bridal session and the portraits turn out amazing! I highly recommend this venue!

Beautiful architecture. I travel using Amtrak alot and out of all the breath taking old train stations Ive visited, this one is by far my favorite!!

Went to see Big Boy, one of the largest steam trains, on tour. The Union Pacific staff was friendly and happy to talk trains.

Such a beautiful and historic venue. The grandeur lends itself to a grand party, but the gathering spaces create an intimate feel. RK Group was very helpful during crazy covid providing excellent guidance to navigate the turbulent times and county restrictions.

This venue was perfectly Lovely for my Daughters Wedding. The Staff were wonderful. And we were so pleased with the whole experience.

Had an amazing time at my Senior Prom, only problem was the lack of seating at the venue.

Was there for a conference. Like how they have kept the old structure in good shape for al to enjoy

Did the Santa run here and it was pretty large and accommodating to lots of people.

I wish this place had more events to really show its beauty. They do have a couple restaurants that are good also 2 clubs that have Live music. The weekend that we were in San Antonio there was an event and we had a great time there.

I was only able to peek inside; gorgeous!! I was in the area to see the historic Big Boy train. Definitely a must to come back and take a tour.

I was impressed by the beauty of this place. To be honest I did not expected it to be. I am visiting family, so I am hoping I can come back in the near future.

Beautiful architecture! We went for the 98.5 Block Party and there was a cooling station with central air and water. They also have a few shaded areas for seating. Id like to go back again when theres not a huge event so I can see more of the design.

Awesome place to go for an event. Had my prom night here 10 years ago. I always enjoyed bringing people here and a party bus. Although its not enough room to turn limo & Party Bus Around they still keep the historical look of the train station here as well. You wont be disappointed for any events planned here. 👍🏽😉🤘🏽

Beautiful

Sunset Station is a Glorious trip through yesteryear. It is the active train station going North and South, East and West. Several years ago this train station was in need of repair, and, many Thanks to those who gave their time, money and devotion to return Sunset Station to its Glory. Very close attention to details was preserved, in order that, those who now visit, can be put back into a Time of History that was.

I enjoyed the setting. The waitstaff did a wonderful job. Its a great place to visit.

Great venue for parties for large groups. The atmosphere is beyond compare, and if you are going to a game at the Alamodome after, it is just a short walk away. All around this is an enjoyable venue for a diverse selection of events. We will be returning soon. I highly suggest this for your next party.

I was there for a wedding. The place is gorgeous! The staff is awesome!

This is a real neat station they only have a vending machine for soda and one for vending machine crackers and things like that So be sure that if you get off at the stop you have change in your pocket ready to go. The vending machines do take ATMs as well though

A great venue for any number of events. It is wonderful to see this historic place brought to modern use. San Antonio really puts it to great use.

The building is absolutely beautiful. They are preparing to become the next big music venue in downtown San Antonio. Dont miss it.

We had to drive through the night to catch this train in San Antonio, so inconvenient and dangerous. Amtrak should be ashamed.

Beautiful place. A friend recently had hos wedding reception here. The staff was great and did everything they could to ensure the reception went off without a hitch. Top off the setting and service with the great food offered.

St. Paul Episcopal Methodist Church Id part of the Historic Sunset Station group (just a block or two from the station itself). It is a wonderful place for a small or medium wedding. Historic space beautifully redone.

Its a really nice place to have a cheerleading competition with plenty of seating and a large outdoor pavilion that has plenty of room for seating and a stage.

Great location with a lot of history. Beautifully maintained buildings and professional staff at our event. Live music venue - would definitely go back!

Great place for UTSA football tailgating. Very historic and well kept. Other than that, I am not sure a lot else goes on around here.

The 1st Annual Grilled Cheese Fest was held here on Nov 10, 2018. It was difficult to find, as there were no signs pointing to the event. The lines for each individual chefs samples were very chaotic, and it was difficult to find where one ended. Some lines were very slow, 30 mins or more, which was a problem with only two hours to try all the samples. The kitchens closed exactly on time, despite people being in line. We didnt get to try all of the samples.However, the samples were varied (vegan, with various meats, with sweet garnishes), and there was a photobooth with cheesy props and some cheese-related merchandise.

Very pretty and decent staff, beware of parties and your gifts keep an area dedicated away from door area and a trusted person to watch over them there was money stolen from wedding. Oh and if they run out of certian alcohol they just randomly mix something with it or they have had no training.

Beautiful and well-organized area but be aware that this is more of a banquet facility. Dont assume you can jump off the train at the adjacent station and expect it to be open.

Beautiful interior perfect for any type of large entertainment of a crowd. When you come make sure you take a moment to imagine what it would of been like full of people getting on the trains.

What a great place to have a function! It was quite chilly the night we were there, but they have heaters in the ceilings to off set that chill
