Super friendly staff and amazing service!!! We had to get a prom dress tailored as soon as possible. It has lots of beading and very sensitive fabric so we couldn’t just take it anywhere. Flatiron Tailor Shop came highly recommended so we trusted them to do a great job. I was able to come back a week later and pick up the dress plus a matching mask! Fits like a glove! I’ll travel to come here moving forward :)

Im a big fan. I needed to have couple formal dresses tailored. Jameel did a great job with a quick turnaround time. Prices were also reasonable. I live in CT, but will defiantly go back whenever I need alteration.

I had 2 gowns and an interview dress altered here for a pageant. The prices were reasonable and the results were amazing! I’m always nervous to try a new tailor but they made an incredible impression. I would like masking to be enforced a little more strictly but the quality of the work was amazing. I was very impressed.

Can someone be too good at their job? Flatiron Tailor Shop has helped feed my unhealthy thrift/ebay/realreal obsession by perfectly tailoring every item Ive ever brought them. Put simply, they make everything (you included) look fantastic. Ive brought everything from current season designer closeouts in odd sizes to vintage blazers which needed to be entirely rebuilt. Theyre good, theyre quick, and theyre fairly priced. Im glad I found them, and would happily travel in from Brooklyn anytime I need alterations. 10/10 would recommend.

This shop came thru in the clutch for me! And not only did they help me with my tailoring needs in just a few hours, the solution to my pant problem was GENIUS. My pants for an Indian Wedding were too tight around the ankle (couldn’t put my feet thru) and pants too tight. He opened the outer sides, put matching material and actually made them look better than my original pair!Will definitely go again for any problems. Flat Iron Tailoring will have the solution! I came in to have a pair of suit pants altered as they bowed out at the thighs. Jeffrey was super helpful and professional as it took a few alterations to fix these pants. I cannot recommend Flatiron Tailor Shop more. Looking forward to using them in the future for all my tailoring needs!

They were kind enough to do us the favor of having the alterations done within an hour. Ramon worked on my wedding dress, a heavily beaded deco-inspired gown. He was able to hem it beautifully and preserve the look of the beaded bottom - something I think most other tailors would have had a lot of trouble doing at all, and he did it perfectly. He also added flowing sleeves to the dress from similar fabric, added a piece of fabric with a hook and eye above the zipper to hide the back of my bra, and added snaps to keep my bra straps in place. He transformed my dress and I felt absolutely fantastic on my wedding day!

I was quoted something else on the phone, got to the shop they charge me more than double quoted on my suits because it was a nice suit. Unprofessional, scammers, poor job on suits and late delivery. Will not go there ever again and get ripped off.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! HANDS DOWN!I went to Flatiron Tailor Shop because they were one of the only tailor shops I could find open at 8am so that I could go or pick up before work... I went to get a black evening gown hemmed.When I picked up my dress, I didn’t have my shoes so I tried on at home and wasn’t happy with the length. I went back the next day and met with Jamil. He assured me they would make sure it was at a length I was happy with at no additional charge.I needed to the dress that evening and expressed I’m not sure when I would be able to pick it up due to work conflicts. He told me he would help me out and offered to have the dress hand delivered to my office - again at no additional charge.The dress arrived absolutely perfectly. Not only did they do a great job, but above all they are good PEOPLE with exceptional customer service. Thanks again!

Absolutely the best service!!!! I competed in Miss NY USA and I needed my gown fitted days before the competition. They fitted me the night I came in with no problem and ensured it would be ready for me. They called as soon as it was ready for me to pick up. When I went back it was like the dress was customized to my body from the beginning. The service was just as perfect as the fit of the dress. I would recommend this tailor and I will be coming here from now on for everything!!!! Travel from Westchester to NYC is worth it, I wouldnt trust my gown (or any clothing) in the hands of anyone else.

I brought one of the students I am mentoring to have his suit tailored. He bought it online and it was ridiculously big on him. Jameel was amazing, spending lots of time getting every detail right. We had to go back a second time to fine tune the jacket, and then came back a few days later to pick it up. It fit my student perfectly. A super nice guy -- they did serious surgery on this suit and it came out fitted perfectly.

They did an amazing job with my leather dresses and skirts. Definitely would recommend.

If you’re looking for craftsmanship these guys are true sartorialists. They’re up front and will let you know if what you need done is possible or not just like craftsmen should. They exhibited such attention to detail with my alterations that I can’t recommend them highly enough. I will continue to see these gentlemen for my alterations.

Flatiron tailor helped me when I had a pageant the next day and only eight hours to fix two dresses that were very difficult and beaded! They are truly amazing at their job! I highly recommend them🤍

Brought a suit here for tailoring in advance of a wedding. They said they’d turn it around in 10 full days, which I already felt was a little slow. To make matters worse, when I arrived at 5pm 10 days later—the exact time noted on the receipt—to pick it up, they said they were “currently” working on it and I’d have to wait a couple of hours longer....not sure what was happening for those prior 10 days. They also suggested every alteration imaginable, even minor things you wouldn’t notice, to maximize the price — for example, they wanted to rotate the sleeves on my jacket despite there being no observable issue, which was $120, or nearly half of the total charge. If you have any sort of deadline or need something done before an upcoming event, do not rely on Flatiron Tailor Shop, they will ultimately disappoint. I would recommend this, at best, for a casual request that can be completed any time.

Service is friendly and fast, but what truly matters is that they always take care of my clothes and deliver exactly what I need done, plus the price is very fair.

They ruined a 700 Sheri hill gown! Refused to call back or make good on refunding even their fee. Left with a dress that cannot be worn.mistakes happen, but poor customer service to make it right. Very disappointed

I dropped off two pairs of pants, and you ruined one of them...totally. Not only the length came out 4-5 inches short (for winter pants) but also the length of two legs is uneven. You need to return this close to the requested fit or pay for the new pants.
