So far we are enjoying our experience here very much. Maintenance has been fast and professional as has everyone weve interacted with. So many residents offered to help us while we were moving and we just knew we picked the right place, right then and there. We also thoroughly thank Anthony for his amazing tour and thoroughness through the process of moving in!

Agave apartments made my relocation from Mississippi a breeze. The amenities and location is outstanding. I had no issues with signing my lease etc while in Mississippi so that when I arrived I could simply move straight in. I love how secure I feel inside my apartment and this location overall. I definitely recommend to anyone looking to move to downtown/river walk area.

Ive been living in Agave since 2018 and noticed a change in the calibre of the residents since mid 2020. My guess is that the management silently turned the complex into section-8 housing sometime last year in order to be able to get government money during the pandemic. If Im wrong, please let me know and Ill change my review. We residents have a right to know. Also, while pit bulls are supposedly banned in Agave, Ive seen a couple of residents walking theirs recently. I guess when youre desperate for rent money, you can call a 90% pit bull 10% lab, a lab mix and let them in!Overall, I think Agave is going downhill. I would do more due diligence before committing to living here for more than 3 months.

I have been living at Agave for 2 weeks and still cannot believe how close it is to everything. The different areas around the complex are great for getting out without actually having to leave the apartments. In my time there I have never once heard my neighbors and everyone seems friendly in the halls. The leasing office staff is really helpful and always friendly and quick to respond. All in all I am loving my experience.

We stayed here for a few nights on a quick little family trip. The building is full of amenities and the rooms have everything you need. The instructions for someone staying on such a short trip were a little messy but once we found our way around it was awesome. Way better than a hotel downtown that costs twice as much for the same space/rooms.

Do NOT move to these apartments. I just moved here and my vehicle was stolen directly from attached parking garage. Filed police report and leasing office keeps giving me the run around saying they have not yet reviewed surveillance cameras to assist with investigation. You would think if one of their resident’s vehicle was stolen from premises they would be a little more punctual with providing evidence. Makes me wonder if they are trying to hide something and set me up from the beginning

Visited this place a couple days ago, but I’m not impressed by their customer service. The leasing office staff is lukewarm, and didn’t show any interests in helping me figure out a floor plan that suites my needs.Among all the 10+ apartments I visited in San Antonio, this place has the poorest customer service. It’s sad to say that I initially came in with the greatest hope to lease here due to the central location, but walked out with disappointment. If you are treated like that prior to move in, you can kind of expect what kind of service you would receive after sign the lease. Not recommended.

Simple awesome! I am so proud that we were part of agave community . One of the best experiences, living in San Antonio is a vacation and top to it agave folks made it super smooth and stress free. We loved our apartment,But people worked there made it to love every bit of our stay wonderful, Auyo, josh, Jessica and Anthony all of them are gems.. super easy to approach and attentive with all our needs and questions. There was some issue with our contract and the increase in the rent payment but the property manager, Josh jumped in to help us and he did fix it, I really appreciate all the guys worked there, even the people who took care of the buildings, the maintenance guys, janitors and all are super good.. you would never have a day without their friendly smile or a short talk ..Location is super apt as well, it’s mounted right between Southtown and downtown so we were lucky to be part of both lifestyles and the easy access to river walk,, and awesome neighbors ..Josh & Auyo, I could give 10 stars if could,, thank you so much for everything and keep rocking .

Agave has recently added Peloton bikes to their workout room and they have been offering weekly free core classes from NFinite Pursuit personal training for a while now.Any maintenance issues are handled promptly and the folks in the office are always easy to work with. The area around the apartments offer many things to do, to the point its not uncommon for us to park on Friday and not drive again until Monday.Highly recommend!!

When I sent my Truck for repair and went apartment with a rental car, it was towed and cost $220 to get back. To use parking lot, vehicle must be registered and if you forget, it will be towed without any warning. I tried to register rental car and at that time, I was informed vehicle will not be towed if parked on 8th floor. I parked on 8th floor for one week and experienced elevator not working twice.

In the short time Ive known someone to that has lived here its been situation after situation... Ill weigh out the pros and cons.Pros:- excellent location in terms of things to do since youre so close to the Riverwalk- nice amenities between the tiny gym, and small pool- nice rooftop patio area- units themselves are tastefully constructedCons:- price for what you actually get are pretty bad- elevator rarely stays operational (either one, it seems like its at least once every other week that one of the elevators is down)- maintenance staff arent too friendly (theyll blame you for things instead of the construction or workmanship of what they are called to fix)- parking is horrible unless you pay extra money for a reserved spot- the parking structure itself is poorly maintained (the gate has been broken SO many times- the company claims NO responsibility for what happens to your car or the contents of your car while parked on THEIR parking structure- on the topic of psrking, if you have guests... They MUST park on the 8th floor which is the VERY top.of the structure, or they WILL be towed by a company that is able to come in as they please.- the mail delivery system is flawed, packages will come late or not come.at all sometimes. Its happened with Amazon items, USPS, FedEx, AND UPS- the dog run is DISGUSTING, its made of AstroTurf and soaks up urine and fecal matter left by dogs and smells to high heaven (ESPECIALLY in the Texas heat)- parking spots in front of the leasing office have now turned into pay-to-park locationsIn the short time my friend has lived here; her car was broken into around Christmas, and when brought up, we discovered there is only ONE camera that monitors the entry/exit of the parking structure, a HOMELESS person barricaded themself in the rooftop patio bathroom (he was able to get up there because once again, the gate to the parking structure was broken), and multiple people had decor taken from doorways. I wont get started on the garbage situation, but in short; the garbage is usually backed up or clogged. In a funnier side not; theres an early 2000s Toyota Camry that hasnt moved once since Ive been visiting my friend here, yet MY car got towed as the result of a personal complaint. This place deserves every bit of ONE STAR for a rating.

Do not stay here or at any other Greystar property! They make you display a large parking pass in your window advertising to everyone in the world where you live and any time you forget to hang it they tow you! Looked for my brand new truck all morning then, with great angst, I finally called to report it stolen to only find out that the apartments where I live and pay rent had it towed! Half a day and $220 later I got my truck back, Moving out as soon as possible! If you cant come up with a better policy than that, you should not be running an apartment complex.Update: The little old man that Uberd (another $10 btw) me to the towing company said he has an elderly friend who has been stuck in his Agave apartment for months because of COVID who finally came out this week to find his car missing (towed by Agave) as well. How many of their residents do they do this to?????

Anyone that leaves a bad review of Agave must be one of those very negative people that complain about everything in life. Ive been at Agave 4 months and I love our apartment here, the location truly couldnt be better if youre looking for something central and downtown (not to mention on the river). It is very well maintained, shout out to our maintenance crew, great guys - every work order Ive put in has gotten resolved either same or next day, and things we bring to managements attention actually gets taken care of. Since Ive moved in, Josh, Jessica, and Alex have always been kind and everything Ive asked for has been taken care of promptly. Theyre really on top of things here, and plus putting on cool social events that a bunch of neighbors get together at, which is great for people like me that arent from the area. I stopped by this apartment complex today at noon. Im new to San Antonio, relocating from Alabama. I went into the leasing office with my brother, there was no one at the desk. A young lady walked out of an office and asked me if she could help me with something. I asked her if they had any move in specials currently for a mid June/ early July move in. She pulled out a floor plan and pointed to an apartment and told me it was $200 off the first month and just stared at me from that point. Then she wrote the price down as if I was gonna be turned off by the price. I didnt care about the money. I cared about the service and wanted to see the place. I was not shown any apartments, didnt get a tour of the grounds, wasnt asked for any of my information or anything. She didnt even tell me her name. I was highly upset and felt like I was stereotyped or something. I left wondering if every other apartment complex would treat me the same way. Its safe to say I went to see several other locations and I was treated fairly and with respect. I think its very distasteful to be rude to possible future residents. The least she could have done was ask me some questions of any sorts to get a feel of who I was and what I was looking for. I will definitely be looking into contacting the corporate office. This was by far the worst experience I ever had with looking for an apartment.

Im unable to leave a review to Greystar Properties specific company page ( that is incredibly poor reviewed btw, so beware leasing with buildings under this management ) so Im left to posting to the properties under their care; Greystar chooses to perpetuate breed stereotypes that help contribute to this citys abused and homeless dog population. Id love to consider leasing at Agave if they ever choose to join 2019 with the majority of the world and end the cycle. Its the owner not the breed.

I lived at Agave Apartments for one year in an A1 and it was GREAT.The location cant be beat - within walking distance to Southtowns best bars and restaurants, Hemisfair, the Alamo, Rivercenter Mall and more. Plus, the complex is nestled in the best part of the Riverwalk - within the King William District. Its perfect for walking, running and cycling. The apartment itself and the complex amenities are also top-notch. Each apartment is outfitted with beautiful flooring, new carpet, stainless steel appliances and a patio. The pool, club room and rooftop grill are great. The gym, however, is pretty small.Additionally, the community itself is great. Theres a lot of empty nesters, young professionals and a few students. Its mostly quiet and very welcoming. The apartment management is also very professional and courteous. Ive never had an issue with being gouged for prices or having a maintenance request lag.The downsides -Rent is going up. We were priced out when we wanted to upgrade to a two bedroom.Parking is somewhat difficult. Theres no shortage of parking, but you may not find a spot on your floor because you have to pay for a dedicated spot. The exterior hallways and elevators are not air conditioned. It didnt deter me, but it certainly wasnt the best in San Antonios summers.Overall, I would still highly recommend Agave to anyone! The complexes next door (Encore, The 68) will be more expensive. The apartments further south (Southtown Flats, Cevallos Lofts) will be cheaper, but they will have a different crowd and inferior location.

Have lived here for about 2 months now and Im overall happy with this property. The amenities are nice, service is good, maintenance responsive, and I love my actual apartment and the view. The bad: the restrooms near the pool downstairs are not well kept or stocked; there is only one elevator available for the whole building and it can be unreliable; and the gym doesnt ever seem to have any towels. These are minor things but they were advertised as something the property offered so I expect them to be available. Side note, they are renovating the wing which had a fire and it has an elevator that we cant use yet. Hopefully that will be done soon but until then - 1 elevator on the opposite side of the building. Also if you have a bulky trash item you are on your own since the valet service wont take it...I know, its a total first world problem.

Ive been cleaning the apartment of 2 residents for several months and EVERY time I walk in the management is rude beyond words. On several occasions Ive been given the runaround (which is more than a notion as the property is like a maze), been given the wrong key to the apartment and had to go all the way back to the office to get the right one, been denied access due to a forgotten fob in another unit - she closed the door right in my face when she could have just let me back in so that I could finish my job (they were in possession of my drivers license and have seen me every other week for the last 6 months), and numerous other slights on this side of passive aggressive. I dont know if its because Im simply the help, racial discrimination or simple minded hatred. Whatever the case, I have 2 clients in this building that like our service but I likely wont be allowed back since I finally lost my temper today. Beautiful property, horrible on site property management. Its written all over Google, so this is clearly nothing new. The entire property management staff needs a refresher course in courtesy and kindness!

We have lived here for just about a year now. I feel so lucky that we stumbled across this gem of a place. Its RIGHT on the riverwalk and really fairly priced for the quality, amenities, size of rooms, and location. SO many walkable places from here, too - Blue Star, Rosarios, La Frite, Rivercenter, La Villita, Maverick, Dough, HEB, the list goes on... In short, I rarely have to get in my car to go anywhere. Maintenance staff is incredibly nice and always quick to answer requests submitted through their portal (weve had just a small handful while weve lived here). The front office staff is friendly, too. The only - minor - downside to this place is that my key fob often isnt the most reliable (but when are they ever)... I have to get it reset every few months or so. Love this place! I moved here in June and I have nothing but great things to say about Agave Apartments.Location:Perfect! Not only is Agave right on the river, but you can also take a short walk one way towards the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the other way is the fun and artsy Southtown area. If you walk to Southtown, please take the way through the Historic King William district! The houses are beautiful and the area provides a great activity to do in the lovely Texas weather.AmenitiesAgave provides several top of the line amenities for use of its residents! The apartments themselves are beautiful, with stainless appliances and quartz countertops. There is a massive clubhouse near the leasing office with several huge televisions and a free coffee machine! There is a beautiful infinity pool (which is always spotless) and a gym with a separate yoga room that overlooks the pool. There is a deck right on the Riverwalk that has fun chairs that hang from trees for people to hang out in. Our favorite amenities however is the rooftop lounge! It provides an amazing 360 degree view of San Antonio and features plenty of seating (lounge and table style) as well as grills and a micro fridge for any “refreshments”.StaffAll members of the staff are the most personable and hospitable people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! The community manager Josh is fantastic and welcomes any feedback residents have regarding new events or other things that can be done to improve the lives of the residents. The leasing agents are extremely knowledge with all of the floor plans and are always super excited to answer any questions we have about the apartment. This extends to the maintainence and cleaning staff who are extremely responsive and always happy to help if there is work to be done.Overall living at Agave has been an amazing experience and I am very happy with my decision! I would highly recommend it to anybody who is looking for a great place to live in a great area with a great staff!

Very responsive maintenance staff often showing up same day. Fun location for hosting out of town friends and family. Generally good build quality. Nice appliances. And great water pressure for the showers.BUT, if you are considering leasing here, here are some things to keep in mind which might not be evident during their guided tour:The dog run is one of the most disgusting spaces like it of any apartment Ive been to. There is a sprinkler system which is meant to clean it which clearly isnt working out. Maybe they could run it more often? The adjacent garage and mail area smells like sick animals. Surely the staff is aware. Id have suggested it if the management staff was approachable or if their maintenance request system had anywhere to put suggestions of its kind. It is often filled with trash, presumably dropped or blown down from the garage levels or patio area above. Think cigarette butts, chipbags, and sharp plastic cups.Disabled accessibility: There are two elevators, the operational one has been broken at least once a month during the time I lived there, sometimes for multiple days. The other has been going to be made available within the month according to staff for at least the last 3 months. Rough going for someone with an injured dog. I cant imagine how frustrating it must be for anyone wheelchair bound or with general movement issues. Must be a nightmare for anyone who loses the game of chance and has to move in or out while this is down. The balcony doors were either installed poorly or of cheap quality. There are visible lines of light around the edges and the master bedroom is uncomfortably hot in summer and noticeably colder than the rest of the apartment in winter. When it is windy, better lock all the doors or theyll fly open from the draft. The response by staff was to apply an ineffective brush door sweep to the bottom. No way to buzz people in. Having friends over? They can get out of their car, walk to a keypad, and call your phone which you can dial a code into to open the gate, they then drive around in circles until they reach the top two floors, park, get into the elevator down to whichever floor you live on, where you will need to walk to to meet them. Probably fine for those who live in the apartments near the elevator, but that isnt most of them. Must be super frustrating for anyone trying to deliver food.No clear method for recycling, or cardboard box disposal. The trash chute makes the entire elevator area smell like wet garbage and isnt even accessible on the first floor. The valet trash service means that you have to store their ugly branded and cheap quality trash cans somewhere to use for setting out the trash. If you fail to use said branded trash can, you will be told that you may be fined and or blamed for mystery stains on the cement in the hallways which were there before you moved in. (which I am genuinely worried will actually happen when they see this review)The pool area is in shade by 5pm during the height of summer, a bummer if you want to relax in the sun by the pool after a day in the office. And the ground around the pool is painted dark gray, the kind of dark color that spends all day heating up to a foot blistering temperature in the Texas sun. Really odd design decisions. The freezer in the apartment opens up into a counter, meaning that removing or returning anything to it becomes a frustrating game of Tetris. No cameras in the garage means that if one of the giant pickup trucks some residents think are necessary for downtown living, or if any of the construction vehicles clips your parked car, youre pretty much SOL finding who did it. Building management wont offer assistanceManagement staff give off a perception that you are irrelevant as soon as you are a resident. All in all it is honestly a nice place to live, but for the price you are paying to live here and the fact the place is so new, Id just expect more.

Hello Heidi,I received your response. It was the same response you gave 3 months ago to another reviewer. Yet nothing has changed. So, therefore, I remain skeptical. Also, I found a most beautiful place with excellent daily customers service. MateaOur rating is more like zero. We had the exact experience & treatment as quandarious norl, who wrote 2 months ago. Apparently, management has NOT addressed the dire situation. However, my husband & I are both 55 years old. Upon entering, we felt as though we were inconveniencing the very young lady, as we took her away from her phone & cliff bar. It was me that had to do all the inquiring, trying to pull information out of her. We were literally shown ONE apartment only. Oh! No, two. The other was the front door. I only wished Id asked her if she liked her job. As a customer I always feel for those working under commission, but in this case NOT. It may be the solution. Motivation & the all-around learning of customer service most definitely need to be taught. I am perplexed as to why the company chooses to place such a character in this position. It is the customers first impression/face of your establishment. I am still in search of an apartment, but scratched this one the minute I exited, even though I really liked it. Shame.
