We really like these apartments. No place is perfect but we have lived at other places and this is better by far. Prices are normal for the area. The grounds stay clean, and weve never had any problem with bugs. Maintenance is responsive.

Beautiful property with great amenities! I especially like the 24 hour access to the fitness center. The manager is extremely helpful, patient and always available to answer questions.

Took a peak around the property today and was AMAZED! The homes have huge closets and high ceilings. The one Im looking at has a fireplace which after last winter I will be glad to have.

After having lived in both small towns and large cities and numerous apartments within both sides of that spectrum I can undoubtedly say this apartment has been the worst experience Ive had in my entire history. If I knew how much of a hassle it would have been to get them to identify, and fix an electrical issue that has impacted 20 units across 2 buildings thus resulting in those affected having no internet access, I never would have moved in to begin with. My main takeaway from this situation has been a lot of passing the buck off and little to no communication between multiple associates in the office. When the problem started anytime I spoke with the office they were quick to blame spectrum for the internet being out, but when I would speak with spectrum they would say they told the/a property manager that the problem was electrical and not something that could be remedied until that electrical issue was taken of first. After hearing this from spectrum and learning that they had dispatched out technicians twice already with the same result and information, I decided to reach back out to the apartments to fill them in on the situation and was met with well its spectrums equipment too and if they want to get paid theyre going to have to come out here and fix the problem. Robert was who I spoke with and after I tried further explaining they werent sending another person out until the electrical issue was first fixed he just wanted to essentially get off the phone and he repeated that same well we have a pretty big contract with them and if they wanna get paid which was reductive and I ended the call there. I called another time and was informed that now Robert is on vacation (likely with internet) and the person who was coming back from their own vacation had no idea this was going on. It has been about 2 weeks of being unable to work from home and this entire situation has resulted in me losing pay because if I cannot work, I cannot get paid. Worst apartment in my entire life.

Horrible, forced to use Spectrum in the lease as it is bundled into the lease. Everyone has same network name and password, so now having to enter each of your devices on the Spectrum Charter page before your devices can be used. Many times having to call them because your actually trying to login to another apartment AP (access point) so you dont get connected. And then So many of your devices are not compatible with their network so they cant work. Examples are my printer and some smart plug device and even then they just tell you Oh Well sorry your devices wont work. Never had problems before when using my own networking gear.

Spacious and decently priced. However, the apartments themselves are old. The month we moved in,we found mold in one of the kitchen cabinets (which was replaced a month later and doesnt match the rest anymore)the insides of the cabinets are also spray painted black(probably to hide damage),we had fleas for a couple of weeks (didnt even have a pet at the time),mold in the bathroom that was just painted over. Garbage disposal broke and is now gone. Broken drawers, leaking fridge,leaking toilet, leaking AC unit (at least that one was fixed before too much water got under the carpet, 95% of the place is carpet and its awful when it comes to dealing with leaks and bugs), holes in the window screens,and gnats. The power also randomly goes out. Its happened about 5 times now. Dishwasher doesnt drain. Matinence people are nice but they havent been wearing masks. Again,decent prices but other places can offer the same prices and have more clean and updated apartments. The staff has been super nice, the apartments are just low quality.

Songbird is okay. Always mosquitos. Most days deer are present to stare at you. The wildlife is dormant meaning will not attack you. Did I forget the snakes? I apologize.

Ive lived here for about 4 years now. This is a decent place to live. I live in a pretty big apartment with great square footage for the price. Downside, this complex has lots of turnaround with the staff. Theyve gone through about 5 changes in staff within a 2 year span. Speaking of which, being able to get them to answer the phone is such a challenge. Ive called about 6-7 times a day and no answer. im calling their 8969 # Im not even exaggerating. Im trying to discuss my options with leasing and how can I when they cant answer their phones. The maintenance crew is great though! ASK FOR TONY. Hes very helpful!

I have enjoyed living at the Songbird for nearly 10 years. My apartment is spacious and well designed. The floor plans here are much larger than most Ive seen and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Songbird is park-like with a hill country flavor. Even though we are located just 2 blocks from the I 10/410 interchange the Songbird offers a secluded ambiance. Living in Med Center South provides easy access to major employment, shopping and entertainment destinations. Recent and on-going exterior renovations are contributing to an already wonderful community.

As of July 1st 2020, I applied for an apartment at this location and I was denied, but I paid an admin fee and I was told the fee would be placed back on to my card (I stated that I just moved from a location that was bad and I didnt want my information going back there). I was told the money would be sent back on to my card... turns out a month later they will check on it, then 2 months later Im told, after I followed up with them that my money had been mailed to the address which I indicated not to mail it to. (It was expressed to put an address on the application inorder to move forward... but I stipulated the reason why I didnt want my information sent to that address) Now, here it is October 6/2020 and I still have not received my check, nor have I received my money place back onto my card. Ive been bounced around with several misleading lies and information that never amounted to me receiving my refund. The staff here are unprofessional! Their follow-up time has been bad and the only time there has ever been any type of progress, is when I went into the office personally after the assnt. Mgr. Mae hung up on me for me sighing an expression of disappoinment (I said sh@#). While in the office, I reiterated what I said to the office Mgr. Who had to come out because of how loud and unprofessional her assistant manager Mae was over MY MONEY. After clarifying to the office Mgr., my purpose for being there and clarifying the term I used on the phone, Mae took offense and walked off... Once again, showing her true unprofessionalism even with her manager being there. It has been a week and a half since our last conversation and I have not been given any significant clarity as to what exactly is happening with my refund. I am still waiting for someone to follow-up with me as to why theyre acounting department has not followed up with them to clarify the status of my money and return it to me/my account. I would go as far as to say as to how their Attitudes are and the treatment of this matter, they may be using the admin fee to cipher money from unsuspecting individuals. In closing they are very unprofessional, no sincere concern for customer service and unapologetic for any inconveniences that may have come from their lack of communication and accountability. For those inquiring about this community and for your own personal reference... inquire about paying admin fee when you havent even been approved for an apartment...in addition, to an application and a background check fee. Although the denial of my application has led me to a much better living situation, the experience with Songbird Apartments has been a very eye-opening as well as disappointing experience. SMH!

Moved in mid March amongst the start of all the COVID-19 Social Distancing Regulations. Office Worker Robert has been amazing while I have been getting settled in, hes addressed maintenance concerns, mailbox issue(boxes were damaged over the weekend) and is good at following up with responses. Bare with them in this time because they are holding it together and having to do things remotely just like the rest of us. Overall the floorplan for a one bedroom is generous and has Washer/Dryer hookups on the patio. Even in rain you can still do laundry without the elements hitting you while changing a load. Nice community, quiet and good neighbors. First month impressions overall good, its a nice area with not a lot of noise pollution.

Its a good place to live until you need something from the office. They dont return calls nor update you on simple information. There is an online request, which never seems to be looked at until a call is made to the office. Im still waiting for some type of call from the office since I am unable to use my kitchen sink as to when someone will come; this is after I have submitted a request and contacted them multiple times.They are 40 year old apartments so something will go wrong. Its how they handle things were things go from bad to frustrating.

Lived here for 5 years the past year was the worst the Mangers come and go lose paperwork and want you to double pay. Stay away from these apartments. They take forever to fix anything went the entire summer no ac. They kept saying they would send someone to fix.

My husband and I have been living at Songbird Apartments since October of 2005. In the last 13 years we have been living here, Id say overall, this is a good place to live. Lots of slumlords in San Antonio, but Songbird Apartments is an exception. Over the last several months, we have had mold and mildew issues and Songbird management and the maintenance team were excellent about getting all the work completed. We are very grateful. I am happy to say we are now mold-free. There is one new maintenance guy on the team. I think his name is Tony (tall slender gentleman) and he is exceptional. He gets the job done thoroughly so we dont have to keep calling on them repeatedly. He has a friendly, kind and professional disposition. There is another Tony as well and he is also polite, kind and professional. They will give advice sometimes so we learn how to manage things on our own.Songbird also has a website where we can submit maintenance requests which makes it super easy to get help in a timely manner. The electronic footprint of said requests also prevents misunderstandings and is great for keeping records. I also love how we can pay our rent on the website. Another convenience: We also get emails from management that keep us updated on any changes that we need to know about. They are transparent about any problems so that we know in advance to take measures when needed.My father-in-law, before passing away, lived here for 8 years and he too was satisfied and comfortable living at Songbird. He used to be a landlord, himself, back in the day and could appreciate the hard work that is involved in managing apartments and tenants.The landscape is nice and clean with lots of trees and greenery. We are safely lit up at night. Our neighbors are friendly decent people. Id say, overall, we have it pretty good here. This is where we spend our life and were proud to call this place Home.

It is so frustrating dealing with the office at Songbird. There is alot of turn over with the office staff. Trying to get anyone to answer the phone is hard and the return call or follow up is near impossible! Even through email, there is no response! So frustrating!Receiving mail is another terrible experience. There is this new gated fence around the mail center. If you can get the pass code from the ridiculous staff, its unkept. They should have gotten the outmail box to close properly! You cant send outmail from your own home. Plus its a 50/50 chance you can get packages that are delivered to the office. I have made two orders and received a note its in the office. Thats when the fun part begins. Try to find the office open, if staff is busy they tell you to go in and look yourself or you deal with overworked assistant manager who will blame anyone except themselves. She even told me to look thru a pile of mail that was on the floor. Some mail is scattered around the office so you have to check everywhere. I am still missing two pieces of mail that has come up missing after verifing with the postal office it was not at their location and was delivered to complex.Management is horrible but the maintenance team really a does a great job.

The apartments themselves are okay I guess. Theyre nice enough for the price, they are spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Never had any problems with the neighbors either. Management and maintenance, however, is a totally different story. Theyve changed managers at least three times in the past year, and NONE of them are any good. Since I moved in, I put in work orders for some things that I noticed needed fixing while doing the initial walk-through. Everything was good at first, I have the patience of a saint and allowed them time to get around to my work orders. Its now been a YEAR since a moved in, have any of those things been fixed? NO, even though Ive reminded them several times throughout the year. Now the air conditioning drain has been leaking for the past 3 months. I notified them about it as soon as it started and reminded them a few weeks after not having anything done about it. Three months later, now I have a moldy puddle on my front porch right at my door and now wasps are starting to gather around it. Come the hell on! This is just RIDICULOUS!! Now, I got the bill for this months rent in the mail. Its a lot more than usual, and after reviewing it, it seems they have increased my rent and are charging a Month-to-Month fee as well. WHAT THE HELL?! Sure, my contract is up this month, but they have NOT given me any notice of these changes and its not even the end of the month yet!! They must be joking if they they think Im paying $1000 for a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!

I went last month and viewed floorplans with a young woman in one of the side offices. She was very polite and knowledgeable. She informed me to come back closer to my move in date to see what would actually be available. Well I went back this week and received the worse customer service I have ever experienced. When I first walked in, there was a group of maintenance men and a young girl lounging on the couch. I looked around for the previous woman, but her office was empty. At first I thought the girl on the couch was a fellow renter. She had messy hair, a sweatshirt, and sneakers. I had no idea she worked there until she finally greeted me. She got up and sat down with me. When I asked about the apartment I wanted she couldnt answer many of my questions. She yelled over me for verification from someone else. At one point she answered the phone during our conversation, and was very rude to who was ever was on the other end. She said she had no one bedrooms to show. After an awkward pause. I made up an excuse and left. I am truly sad and disappointed, I really wanted to move in to one of their one bedrooms, but I cannot deal with that customer service for a 12 months.

I leased here about two weeks ago. A few nights ago, I noticed two different vehicles with the driver and passenger doors wide open, the center console wide open and scattered belongings on the ground. I reported this to the police that night. Today, I noticed someone attempted to pry open the toolbox on my Truck; with either a screw driver or a tool bar. I see dents and scratched paint marks on the edges to get it open and now the toolbox is jammed. It will not shut or open properly, I can see now there is a theft problem here. I cannot believe I have only been here about 2 weeks and someone already attempted to get into my truck. There are 20 more CONS I can write about on here but it is too much to type. All I can say is Im glad I only did a 6 mo. Lease here.4 PRO, helpful staff and maintenance.gorgeous trees for shade.Low pricesSpacious bedrooms.**********************************************UPDATE: I received a phone call from the front office, a month after my theft incident here. Jennifer explained to me over the phone they were working on hiring a courtesy officer for the property and apologized to me about what had happened. A few months passed and now there is a courtesy officer on the property. Im very impressed on how quickly they fixed that issue. I am thankful.

First and foremost, I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND living here if you have small children!! Our car was recently stolen in which the people who stole it completely vandalized my vehicle to the point where it wouldn’t even work anymore. Then, our apartment almost gets broken into by a deranged man in the middle of night. When we spoke to the staff (remind you all of them have either quit or gotten fired), we were told that their “volunteer security guard” was no longer working there!!! NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO US!!! We have called corporate NUMEROUS times and NO ONE has returned our phone calls!!! When is enough??!! When will they care about their residents instead of how much money goes into their pockets??!! Like I said, for the safety of your life, DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!

I have lived in three apartments at this complex in the last 4 years. Two in the back and one at the very front. Theres a lot to like and a lot to dislike about this property.1.) There are very spacious floorplans, 2.) price is decent, 3.) parking is adequate, 4.) lighting is good for the most part.They need to do away with the covered parking that takes up valuable parking from residents and guests, laundry facilities need to be updated, better and more machines need to be added, and room needs to be cleaned on a daily basis, light in outside front laundry room has been out for a long time( i have requested numerous times to repair, to no avail), pools are always dirty, due the large oak trees, but they are never cleaned which will eventually cause pump issues. A more thorough application screening is a must. I have good neighbors in my little corner of the complex, but there are a few sketchy undesirables living here, that have recently moved in.UPGRADES ARE UNDERWAY. Painting, parking lot repairs, tree trimming. These are very good things, and make the property much more appealing.There are a few issues, and there is always good and bad in apartment living, But all in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to live here.I have read some of the other comments, and have voiced my opinion numerous times, but the ladies in the office are doing their best. They don’t own the place, they work for a management company, and can only do so much. So hang in there, it’s all good.

Have been leasing here for more than a year. Maintenance is very slow to address problems. In the middle of October, I reported to Jordan, the assistant manager, that there was a hole in the siding made by an animal, probably a raccoon that could enter the attic space. I even showed her pictures. Reported the same problem 2 days later via the Seldin website, with the pictures included. Nothing was done. In mid-November, I called the emergency maintenance number about the issue because I actually saw the raccoon on my roof. Was placed on hold for 10 minutes after placing my complaint before I finally hung up. To this day, I still have a hole in the side of the apartment and I can hear the raccoon rattling around in the attic, batting something around like its playing Bocci ball. Called the emergency number again and received lip service. Horrible customer service, not to mention stewardship of the infrastructure of the property.

Honestly out of all places ive lived at this place is the best. Floor plan is amazing and spacious for a decent price. I love the space its feakin great!!!! The managemener and leasing agents/maintenance here are amazing, polite, and wills work with you if you have troubles they make making arraignments easy they follow the book but make sure youre atleast able to pay your rent and attend what ever needs there residents need when they can. Love how its right by an elementary school its covenant for me taking my son i hate moving out for personal reasons but i wanted to make sure this place gets my compliment and most definitely will be recommending this place to everyone.

I have lived at Songbird Apartments for the past 2 years and it has been a wonderful place to live. I really dont have any major complaints. Sure, its not the newest complex in the area, but so many things make up for that. 1st: the management has been great. Very quick and responsive to maintenance or any issues that come up. Also so friendly and nice to everyone making sure things are going well. 2nd: The location is amazing with quick access to most areas of SA within 10-15 mins. 3rd: Very quiet, I have never had an issue with noise at this complex. Overall, I have loved living here and will miss this place when I have to leave. I would recommend Songbird to anyone!

Im going on a year here, never had any problems, quiet community, nice large layout for a 1 bedroom 1 bath, work orders were done on a timely manner, and the staff is great, rent isnt too bad either, unfortunately I have to move out only cause I need a big house, but I love my apartment. Ive lived at Songbird Apartments for over two years now and will be renewing my lease again very soon. While there were issues when i moved in back in spring 2014 (nothing major) and a lot of turn over for management since i have lived here, everything has been fixed and the management and staff they have right now is 10x better than it was before.I love my apartment. These are old apartments, they need some upkeep and that maybe why there are so many issues and not enough maintenance workers to go around. But they are spacious and very affordable, if you are patient and work with them they will work with you.Trust me you wont find a more affordable, safe, or spacious apartment in the medical center area.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! The actual apartments themselves arent bad for the monthly rates, but when it comes to MANAGEMENT, its TERRIBLE! The current manager will BOLDLY LIE to your FACE about almost ANYTHING you have a concern about. Weve only been here for about a month, and so far, weve had to request maintenance to address several serious issues (No smoke detectors, no fire extinguisher, a backed-up sewer line, a leaking patio ceiling, a clogged toilet, and a water leak in our kitchen). Each and every time, we called the office, but no one would answer, so we had to leave messages BEGGING for help. And when they finally DID answer us, it took them more than 72 hours just to come to our apartment to fix them (our patio ceiling still leaks and now has mold). We even tried to get help from their corporate office, but even THEY wouldnt call us back!!! If we need assistance now, we call and leave them a message saying we are filing formal complaints with the citys code enforcement department. Then, the assigned officer has to come out and order them to repair things. This is NO WAY TO LIVE!!! So if you are even THINKING about moving here, SERIOUSLY consider this statement; DONT SIGN A LEASE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO FIX PROBLEMS YOURSELF, OR CALL THE CITYS CODE OFFICER!!!!

I have been requesting cleanup of maintenance& household trash for over a month. ..to no avail. Looks like a TENAMENT. NOT HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY. WAS TOLD I HAD ASSIGNED SPACE WHEN I MOVED IN. CANT EVEN FIND REG PARKING NEAR MY APT MUCH LESS HANDICAPPED. ONE SPACE I WAS USING HAS VEHICLE THERE THAT RARELY MOVES. We have two apts and one car and still NO PARKING. Have been patient and tried to work with staff but no action on their part. NEW REVIEW!! MY ISSUES WITH TRASH & PARKING HAVE BEEN RESOLVED TO MY SATISFACTION. I’m not much to post reviews and honestly if I had the choice to choose no stars, I’d choose no stars. There have been so many issues from management to the actual apartment itself and maintenance. I always paid my rent on time, if not ahead of time. Some of the issues are as follows: It took them almost 2 months to fix our A/C, the apartments come with a lifetime supply of roaches so be prepared for that, there was a break-in into multiple vehicles one night, which included mine, so it’s not very safe. Even the cops that made my report for the items stolen from my vehicle made a comment about making a mistake by moving there because there’s always something going on there and they constantly have to go. But the worst part about these apartments is the poor communication. Specifically, Jordan. She is the example of the worst customer service ever. I actually put in a request at the office for her to not be involved with my apartment contract or anything. Anybody else in the office, but her. She released information about my apartment lease to family members who were not part of my lease and were not living with me. By doing that, she breached the confidentiality agreement. The leasing office also held packages without leaving notice in my mailbox the way they were supposed to. My apartment lease was going to be transferred - keep in mind I’ve never transferred a lease before, so I’m unaware of the procedures - Well, nobody called me in over 2 months to inform me of the procedures that need to take place in order to formally transfer the lease. I receive my first call in over 2 months with an upset Jordan stating that I’ve been doing this whole transfer wrong. When I began notifying her that I hadn’t received a call and nobody spoke to the sole people on the lease, she began speaking over me. I ultimately hung up on her. However, I will be filing a formal complaint to the BBB and Seldin Company headquarters for lack of communication and professionalism and breach of confidentiality. I do NOT recommend this complex. Please be cautious when considering these apartments.

NOW ITS ABOUT 1 MONTH AFTER ORIGINAL POST, STILL HOT WATER ISSUES WITH THE BOILER; NO HOT WATER ALL DAY YESTERDAY AND NOW NO WATER AT ALL. THIS SEEMS TO BE A MONTHLY OCCURRENCE. WHY CANT IT JUST GET FIXED, GEEZ. 2 days without hot water. This place sucks big time for paying over $1100 a month, A.C. hardly ever works, hot water goes off randomly and office never advises tenants. Manager is never available and the 2 leasing agents will ALWAYS have a great excuse for everything. Manager is never available to speak with, NEVER. Rotted stairways with rusty metal railings, undocumented residents with up 6 to an apt - time to call ICE and they look into apartments (peeping Toms). I could go on and on but just to many reasons not to move here.

*I apologize for the length of the review for anyone reading, but I wanted to put as much info as I could*I lived here about 7 months total back in 2017. Honestly when I first moved in here I loved the place. Yeah the buildings are a little old and the appliances were outdated but the floor plans were spacious and altogether I never had issues with any loud neighbors. The main reason I am giving Songbird a 1 star review is because of the following reason.When you move into an apartment they give you a paper and 48 hours to report any damages or any issues you may notice with the apartment. Now I found a few tears in the carpet here and there but nothing crazy. The main issue was that the back sliding door didnt have the pin lock whatsoever, and the second lock (which is the metal bar you lay across the door) was broken as well. So there was basically no working locks for the back door. I reported it right at move in, thinking they would read it and send someone over but during the first few weeks nobody came. When I would have the chance I would call the front desk ( about every 2 weeks) and tell them that it hasnt been fixed. They told me they would send someone over to fix it but no one ever came. Now looking back I wish I would have read the lease more carefully because they were in violation of their contract to me for not coming out and fixing a broken lock asap.A week before we moved out we unfortunately got our apartment broken into in the middle of the night. Luckily no one was hurt, they just stole a lot of our stuff. We called the cops when we realized what happened and filed a claim with our insurance. What happened next was the worst part. When I went to tell the worker at the front desk about what happened, she didnt even sound surprised, didnt even look concerned that someone broke into our place while we were sleeping. When i explained to the girl at the front desk that my lock never got fixed, she responded with, Its your apartment, why didnt you keep calling us letting us know that it still hadnt gotten fixed. I replied, I have been calling you guys about every 2 weeks ever since I moved in 7 months ago, and are you really telling me that emergency repairs like this only get done if I constantly nag you guys about it? I was very upset. Luckily I kept my copy of the report I made when I first moved in stating that the back locks were broken. When I told them I wanted to move out they tried asking me if i wanted to move into a second or third floor apartment because break ins are less common on higher floors. I just wanted to move out, I no longer felt safe living there. I had to basically threaten to involve a lawyer to be able to move out without getting a broken lease. I knew I was well within my rights to move out because they failed to provide me with a safe living environment due to them not ever fixing the locks.It makes me sad that I had to push so hard just to be able to move out, because if this happens to someone in the future they are going to try to bully them into staying because they are going to hope you arent smart enough to realize that you can leave.At the end of the day I know that it was my fault for even moving into a place that didnt have working locks and that I should have been smarter sooner and demanded them to fix the locks because if they didnt they were in violation of their contract. I just hate that if they would have taken care of this the 1st time I told them, or even the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th time this wouldnt have happened.Besides this main problem, these are the other issues I encountered while living here:- Office employees are very unprofessional and very rude- Break ins and Car break ins are very common in this complex- Issues with ticks in back patio, spiders and cockroaches- There was a distinctive nasty smell always lingering close to the buildings- A lot of stray cats living in complex- Water got turned of every other month and there would be no warning- Maintenance does not come out to fix issues reported multiple times to office

Ive been here for a few months and the floorplan is huge and the rent is reasonable. All my work orders are addressed quickly and maintenance goes above and beyond to help out. The girls in the office are great too and Danielle has been a lifesaver several times! Soooo glad I ended up here!!

Lived there for 3 and a half years and really liked it because it was quiet and I got along very well with my neighbors. They do take forever to fix things that needed fixing so I was constantly in the office and online with work orders. My biggest disappointment with Songbird came in February of this year. I started a new job back in November through a temp agency in which I took a bit of a pay cut. I explained the situation and asked them to be patient with me and to work with me on paying my rent. At first I thought we had a understanding until February I came home from work to a letter on my door giving me 4 days to vacate (even though I made a partial payment and talked to them about the situation). I got zero explanation as why I got the letter and so I moved out thinking it was an eviction. Now Im having hell trying to get another apartment ( turns out since the steps wasnt taken for an eviction and because I left voluntarily its a broken lease).

You will end up suffering and spending more than you budget. These apartments are old and need to be fixed however, Seldin Co. wont?!? I am so happy to be moving out...my story, for a whole 11months dealing with a leaky, water flowing ceiling as well as a broken ac that would never cool or turn off bringing my electric bill threw the roof for several months. Numerous times have I complained/argued, which didnt mean nothing to the front office or corporation. I will say this as person who cares about other people..DO NOT MOVE HERE! I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY OR ANY PROPERTY THEY MANAGE!

If I could rate no stars I would.Im a relocating for work. Im a traveling nurse. Im a productive member of society, Im in college and I stay to myself. I never walked away from a place feeling more attacked and ashamed in my entire life!I spent 3 years in an abusive relationship. This has been a problem when applying for rentals due to up and leaving an apt in the middle of the night when running from the man. This isnt just a story and I have police reports and ither records. This is Something Im looking at taking off my rental record.The office staff said,WHEN YOU GOT A PROTECTIVE ORDER AGAINST THIS PERSON YOU SHOULD HAVE PREPARED BETTER. SO THIS WOULDNT HAVE HAPPEN TO YOU LATER ON.Im sorry, you cant prepare for a person to stalk you and break into your home and mess your whole world up. How ignorant and insensitive! I ended up not even applying for a place. I wouldnt rent from these people if I had to. Trust me, because of this place and the conversation I had today, I will make it my goal to go before Congress one day to introduce a bill. I will make sure no one ever does this to me again.

I know many people have seen this statement about other places before, but PLEASE heed my warning: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Maintenance is the worst Ive ever seen in any apartment community. And I dont mean just regular cut-the-grass type maintenance either! I mean MAJOR PROBLEMS (leaking roofs, inoperable appliances, bathroom and kitchen mold, mildew in the walls, etc., etc., etc.). You can plead for assistance from management (which changes every two to three months), and theyll promise you ANYTHING just to get you to shut up. But when it comes to fixing the problems, itll never happen. Even if youre desperate and have nowhere else to move to, keep this number handy: 311. Youll need it to call code compliance. That will be the ONLY way youll EVER get anything fixed around here.

Awful... please look elsewhere. front staff are liars to prospective renters. Maintenance is horrible. Ive had work orders that they complete in their computer system without actually coming to do it. Ive also had work orders sit for months... this is a bad combination with the old age of the buildings. These other reviews complimenting the maintenance must be employees or managers, DONT BUY IT

Im giving it a 3 star because im intrested in moving into a unit here. I read some of the reviews and it seemed like a nice place to live upon going into the office and looking around. I do realise all apartments have issies in reguards of. Maintenance and utlilities. It happens. My main concern is the fact that i have children amd with some of the reviews saying there are break ins and that cars are vandilized. Im really concerned in taking the rislk of moving in here now. If the tow truck companies are slow to respond when removing vehicles that problem is easily solved as my husband is a tow truck driver and would gladly strike up a contract with the complex to inforce the parking issues. We maybe moving in on july 11th once we see one of the units.

Neutral at this point. However, they did wait to tell me about their mandatory cable and internet until I was signing, stating that all apartments are wired. I just dont need it, nor did I sign for it. I dont watch television, and already have unlimited internet. I think the choice is addressed under federal law. I moved out at the end of my lease when they would not relent on the cable...its illegal though. Maintenance/management were not concerned with TAA guidelines, or correcting problems or request for services.Update & definitely not neutral: maintenance fixed my garbage disposal by removing it, maintenance fixed a broken lock with a door knob with no lock. My HVAC was broken the last month I was there (16 days into the month they brought me a portable for my bed room, the rest of the house was 93 degrees); so essentially, I had one room, but still paid for the entire apartment. I probably turned in the HVAC at least 8 times for repairs, and the job was never completed correctly. Work was shoddy, and elementary at best.The apartment was insulated terribly, the HVAC stayed on constantly, and never even came close to reaching the set temp. Old, rusty, rundown, and inefficient.The gym is a joke at best: the bike screen doesnt work, the treadmills are outdated, and it smells like urine. They have one workout machine (didnt appear stable enough to use), and the room is tiny.Bad management, inept maintenance. They open late and close early.I wouldnt live here again. One positive, it is quiet, and out of the way.Know your tenant rights, empower yourself!

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!I regrettably moved from one of their 2bed room units into a 1bedroom. After i moved they decided to charge me 1500 for new carpet. (I had lived in the apartment for a year and a half, shouldnt they already be changing the carpet for a new tenet?) Well long story short i paid them the amount in 500 payments. Two months after paying they decided to add a mysterious 260$ after calling to resolve the issue, the very next day they attached a notice to my door saying i now owe 320$.THE FRONT OFFICE GIRLS ARE FRAUDSGod only knows where my money has been going.Ontop of all of this the apartments are very old, poorly insulated(expect an extremely high electricity bill)the office lady and maintenance men could care less if you go days without ac. My apartment was not move in ready to say the lease with nails sticking out and mold. They also have a serious problem with people breaking into cars at nightPLEASE RETHINK ABOUT LIVING HERE

The worst place in which I avoided. My husband and I were living here for two years and at that time our air never worked. We called the office the only thing they told us was that they would send someone we moved and maintenance never came. Terrible did not waste your money. In this place, the apartments are very nice, so the Aruna is the bad administration by the office, very bad service
