This properly is amazing very beautiful property and they usually offer really good rates or great move in specials. This review is to point out leasing agent Kaylie’s excellent customer service! She was able to tour us even though she was very busy in the office. She was very thorough and payed very good attention. Thank you so much Kaylie!
Management does nothing to help. We end up with unstable Nieghbors that cause damage and bang on the walls. And they do nothing about it! This place is not safe and don’t mind leaving a deposit to get away from this. Two thumbs down don’t waste your time or money
You’ll notice that I gave the village of Hampton Cove five stars. I don’t do this lightly. I had to do some thinking about it. As I read other peoples reviews, they mention they’ve had issues and I cannot speak to those. So I will be speaking of my own personal experiences. This apartment complex has a lot of very good features, and they’ve maintained good standards despite the challenges of the Covid crisis. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. My experience with maintenance has been very favorable and they are extremely responsive. They do an excellent job.Landscaping is excellent. And, they maintain it nicely. When I look out my window, I see a well-maintained and quite attractive green space. For those inclined to enjoy the outdoors, they have grills and picnic tables. They really are pet friendly. Cats and dogs are welcome, and residents enjoy getting outside and walking their dogs. The management team has treated me well. The key is communication. I have made a number of requests during my time here, I have been careful to keep them informed, and I’ve been happy with the outcomes. Even delighted. Without going into specifics, they went the extra mile for me.So if you’re looking for a good apartment, that has good management and maintenance, something that looks good and that you will feel good about, I urge you to choose Hampton Cove. I think you’ll be glad you did!
I have toured many places and lived in many locations all over the united states, and have called even more, but the lady that was taking calls this Saturday 9/12/20 should work on her customer service skills, because frankly shes not nice. She asked me all the questions and wasnt trying to answer or be helpful more like she wanted to eliminate me from coming to see the place. She asked me how much I wanted to pay and when I answered she had different prices for the same, but slightly different apartments.Im thinking why would I pay more? They say you only have one time to make a good first impression base on her non-help, I wouldnt move there no matter what the floor plan is or the price her attitude sucked. Have a nice day!
Excellent customer service and always willing to assist. Thank you to Amy for being so helpful since I’ve moved in. Maintenance is outstanding and quick to respond!
The staff is wonderful. Maintenance is wonderful. My only problem is one of the doggy parks is full of dirt instead of grass. HOWEVER, everything else is good. Mailbox is secure and we have an Amazon Hub. I do recommend.
The staff is helpful, friendly, and timely with inquiries. The location is conveniently located around restaurants and shopping centers. The apartments are affordable and most of them are recently renovated.
Great apartments & AWESOMEEEE leasing office staff ‼️
Trying to move anytime is stressful Under these pandemic conditions, it is even more stressful. The staff here has made this move easy. They are considerate and very helpful. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a great and quiet place to call home.
5/5 love living here! Kim and Sulema (don’t know if I spelled that right) are the nicest and most helpful staff I’ve ever met! Glad I found the Village of Hampton Cove!
I have been living here since May 2020. My experience this far has been great. Even though we are experience high volume of Covid-19 at a high level in Texas. This community are taking the correct direction in keeping it low.Far as living here, I love it. It fits all my needs. I cant wait to used the oocsl facility on this property after this pandemic is over. They have a little gym area where can workout. The right equipments for me. One of the key factor why I loved The Village if Hampton Cove, us how quiet it is. I can sit on my patio and enjoy the cool breeze, even leave my patio door open all night. Well I do live on the third floor. The customer service in 5he office are so professional to me. I do not have any complaints. Pets friendly, no aggressive animals so far. Now, I want a dog. Lol.Come look for yourself. You will loved too.
The staff have been very friendly and accommodating. They worked with our schedule to move in, maintenance has been friendly and prompt. Would recommend this complex.
Best place to stay.very good community 💯
Ive been living here for a couple years now and have had great experiences. Unfortunately I as well do not appreciate how the staff has treated myself and my family who also live here. Theres usually delay whenever we have issues regarding the apartment, outright rudeness when trying to get help (my stepfather had asked the girls to please just stay only 1-2 minutes after the closing time because my mother had been locked out and didnt have a key at the time but despite the bad situation they still left exactly at 5:30 who knows maybe even earlier), always switching their policies on package pick ups, and more. Besides the staff the grounds and area is beautiful. Recently we had very VERY loud and noisy neighbours who ignored our plea to at least keep it down when 10-11 pm rolled around; they would continue on screaming rampages whilst playing video games up until 4 am usually. All around a few things could be fixed but is not all unbearable at all.
DONT EXPECT TO EVER SPEAK TO THE MANAGERS THEIR NEVER ON THE PROPERTY AND IF THEIR DOOR IS SHUT THAT MEANS THEY CANT COME TO THE PHONE. THE STAFF PRETENDS TO BE NICE BUT TALKS TO YOU WITH SMART REGARDS AND WILL LIE ON YOU SO MAKE SURE YOUR CALM AT ALL TIMES!
I lived here for roughly 3 years. I lived in a one bedroom apartment in the back of the complex. The place is safe, clean, and the staff is responds quickly to your concerns. It was rare a maintenance request was not filled or at least responded to within 24 hours. If you’re the social type there are regular social events put on by the leasing office. They also have a decent gym, 2 swimming pools, doggy park, and those cool amazon lockers. It’s a quiet complex and all my neighbors were friendly. The walls are thick enough that a new born lived below and I barely heard it.The drawbacks to living here start with the numbering of the complex. Building 1 is in the back next to building 6, which made getting food delivered very difficult. The parking spots are incredibly small and few in quantity. If you don’t come home before 10pm it will be incredibly difficult to find a parking spot near your apartment. It’s not uncommon for residents to walk half a mile to their apartment at night. The offset is you can pay roughly $20 (last time I checked) to get a covered reserved space. I signed up for this, I was told I was 4th on this list. Fast forward a year later I was never given a spot. So if you opt for this, follow up with the staff monthly about it.For my first apartment, this was a good place to start and learn. I never had issues with the staff trying to talk down to me or overcharge me when I broke my lease (military). Also, as a smaller woman, I felt completely safe here. The complex also honored their $400 incentive for referrals policy with me multiple times.
I have lived here for the past year and plan on renewing once my contract is up! The rent is reasonable, upgrades are slowly emerging and the complimentary Saturday breakfast is something I look forward to all week! The staff is extremely friendly, specifically the assistant property manager Shelby. She is friendly, caring, puts the residents first and is the light that fuels the spark in the Office. 5/5 stars
Staff would never answer their trouble tickets. Im just happy my lease was only a year...
The office staff is friendly; the maintenance staff loves their jobs; the property is a beautiful, well shaded, and cozy place; and the area is nice with quick access to the highway as well as shops and some food options near by.
Move in process was easy but the leasing office is terrible with communication. Did not inform me they would need a 30 day notice to stop charging rent after I moved out.
I have been living in the Village of Hampton Cove for almost 18 months. I have never had problems. The staff has always been very friendly and customer oriented. They are super friendly and always willing to help. I had wonderful experience with Mr.Rickey Shea.He has always provided prompt customer service and is a tremendous asset for Hampton Cove. If, I ever had my own company, I would surely hire him. The apartments are very clean and have that nice look and feel to them. Definitely cost effective and a wonderful place to call home.
I stayed in a fully furnished apartment. I absolutely loved everything about this place. The leasing girls are so sweet, Mallory was my favorite. Maintenance was also very attentive and the one time I put in a work order it was taken care of that same day. The manager that deals with all the money was always available to speak with when I had questions or needed confirmation. Everyone has always been so happy to answer my questions and I never felt like a bother. I would definitely come stay again. Im constantly referring all my friends and co workers. Thank you for the great stay.
Ive lived here for about 6 months, and honestly have no complaints. Everyone here is wonderful, and helpful, from the staff to the maintenance help. My roommate and I had a little trouble with the water heater, and we informed Jessica and Mallory in the front office. They were very kind, empathetic and sent maintenance over right away. Both Jessica and Mallory have been so nice, and are very attentive when we have any questions or concerns. I work as a bartender and I feel safe here walking to apartment after work also. I highly recommend this apartment complex if anyone is interested or looking.
Ricky is very professional and knowledgeable about the community. My client and I were very impressed with his customer service. Its nice to know that good leasing agents still exist. Thanks to Ricky it was an easy choice for my client, we applied that that day. If youre interested in living here, ask for Ricky. Thanks again!
Village of Hampton cove is a hidden gem! Location is fantastic close to shopping, dining, & amazing schools! Their grounds are beautifully kept, the staff is fabulous! I toured 4 properties with my client and He decided on Hampton cove because of the Leasing Agent Rickey! Rickey was friendly, knowledgeable, and made my client feel at home! I recommend this property to anyone looking for not just an apartment but a Place to call Home ❤️
Every single time Ive had to speak to management they have completely rude and unprofessional not to mention no one ever knows anything.I have several packages they are delivered monthly and it seems as every month each package is lost and again conveniently even after taking the mailman in tow to say he left the package in the office no one knows because its never anyone job to accept packages. It takes months to get work orders completed no matter how serious the situation is.It is a shame because the area is really nice but the staff at this place is horrible they are all inconvenienced to actually do their jobs.
Overall a great place to live! Moved here from out of state and the staff made it easy to apply & relocate. Great price, location and love the convenience of the office hours. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a quiet, safe place with the perk of a variety of amenities.
Been living here for about a year. Village of Hampton Cove is located near a shopping center which gives plenty of opportunities to go out with family and friends without the hassle of having to travel a long distance. Staff are courteous and friendly. Maintenance responds in a timely manner and is sure to leave documentation of their visit upon resolving issues. Various dog parks located on the property. Secure Mailboxes eliminating the threat of theft. We have enjoyed our experience here overall.
Love living here! The area is so nice with many stores and restaurants nearby. Very close to major highways though far away enough not to hear the road noise. All the staff members are great! In particular Mallory who works in the office as well as Jay and Aaron who do maintenance here. Id highly recommend checking them out if youre looking for an apartment in this area. Btw they have attached garages which are very hard to still find these days!
AUG 19 EDIT:They have new people working in the office and I think theyre pretty stellar. A couple on the old crew left and my experiences with them of late have been dramatically better. Now I feel like they actually care about my problems and want to help.MAR 19: Ill take any opportunity I can get to give this place 3 stars. Mine and a few other cars were broken into in the last few months. The security cameras dont work so theres no tracking them down, and the staff doesnt care much anyway. But we have recently gotten some lovely decorative rocks that no one asked for on the property, along with unnecessary bathroom and kitchen renovations which include new taps with water that runs so slow, it takes 3 minutes to fill a cup with water. But they wouldnt dream of fixing security cameras. Its not horrible. Ive had good and bad experiences with the staff. Maintenance staff is on point at least. Short term living, place is probably great. Long term? Youll grow to hate it.
OK now that I have officially moved out and I have received my joke of a final bill I can finally feel comfortable enough to post the real experience while living here. The property itself is nice but the front office staff will treat you like you are beneath them. Mallory is the biggest joke and so is the manager Jessica. They are VERY comfortable in their positions, you can tell the feel invincible. They treat customers terribly.Jessica is in charge of taking/ processing rent payments. If you get on her bad side she will lose your check or refuse to process your CC payment. I had to get in touch with corporate just to make sure Jessica would run my rent.I was threatened with an eviction TWICE in my first two months of living here and Jessica tried VERY hard the remainder of the lease to evict me.I had a fellow resident confirm they have paid for these great reviews on here. I had written another review that they hide. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB which they cannot hide and I for see this whole case finally seeing its day in court.Moving to Village of Hampton absolutely ruined my rental history. I could not find a new apartment for a while due to them trying to evict me. I was declined so many times I almost gave up. My stress and anxiety are unbelievable.
I have lived at the Village of Hampton Cove for one year now and have truly enjoyed my experience. I recently moved to a new apartment within the complex, and had to deal with some communication errors along the way. The staff was and continues to be understanding, friendly, and helpful and had a reasonable resolution for us in a timely manner. The Maintenance staff is fantastic, and quickly fix any issues that we are having! One of the best parts of living here is the brunch in the main office on Saturdays, however there could be more variety in the food selection. There have been some issues with the gates and parking depending on what side of the complex you live on, but overall the complex is very secure. Another thing that would be nice would be to have a better complex wide emailing system for notifications about things such as events and changes to schedules. A sign on the door isnt always the best form of notification when youre walking up to the office door expecting to pick up a package and theyre closed already.Overall, I would highly recommend the Village of Hampton Cove to be your next apartment complex.
I lived here 3.5 years and I have not one complaint! I loved staying here! From the maintenance team to the staff in the front office, they were always helpful and courteous. The Village of Hampton Cove is an awesome place to live and a great area to reside in. I would recommend this place to any and everyone!
Our A/C in our apartment broke over night... and it’s Memorial Day weekend! The high is 100 and my husband and I were stressing on how we could get this fixed so our two kids (a toddler and an infant) wouldn’t overheat. We called the emergency maintenance line and thirty minutes later, our A/C was fixed. Amazing service! We are so relieved! The Village of Hampton Cove has the fastest, most reliable maintenance crew I’ve ever experienced.
The management is extremely rude and full of attitude. After living here for over a year, I NEVER had a pleasant experience with the ladies who run the office.Everything about the complex is very comfortable and peaceful, but I have never felt so disrespected or unwelcome every time I go into the office with questions or concerns. It’s very unfortunate that a nice place is run by such rude people.
Great place to live. Im going on 3 years now and havent had any issues whatsoever. The staff is awesome and always available. Shout out to Mallory and Rickey for the outstanding service!
Lived here for a while now. The staff are always very nice and quick to address concerns. Very quiet at night and the grounds are well kept. Twice a week they pick up trash at the doorstep for no extra charge, I lived at an apartment that charged 33 a month for that. Its one of the most affordable apartments in this area, anything decent around here is around 900 and up! At 750 its a great deal. I would recommend this place.
Im still currently waiting for a few things to be fixed in my apartment for the past 4 months and nothing has been done.People in the office / maintenance are rude and don’t acknowledge you also to top it off they NEVER know the answer to any questions. I cannot wait for my lease to be up!
I love living here. The Convenience of living near a shopping center is outstanding. Staff are always friendly and help when needed.
I love how fast and respectful this complex is. Especially Chelsie at the front office. She is so kind and sweet and is very efficient with her time and able to handle customer service at an amazing level! I recommend people live here.
The complex looks maintained at a first glance. The apartment looks modern, but you come to find that its a bit dated. Every 3 months or so the gate doesnt work and it takes management a few days to fix. The office staff dont keep good records. For example incorrect automatic payments, wrong balances, incomplete paperwork. There is a high turn around in their staff which probably accounts for all the administrative errors. Their priority seems to be on getting new residents, not communicating with their current residents.Sure, having a gym and office center is convenient, but it doesnt outweigh the burden of having to deal with poor management. On the bright side our lease is over soon.Im looking at the 5 star reviews here and Im highly questioning if they are truly from residents.
I recommend this property to anyone who needs a nice place with furniture. Also my experience with my leasing agent Rickey Shea was great. They have very nice amenities and they have breakfast every Saturday morning. I highly recommend this place.
Im going on year 2 living here and have no big complaints! The office staff and maintenance crew are all very helpful and friendly; great location is a perk! Ive read over some of the more negative reviews on here which remind me of other complexes Ive lived in--no real issues come to mind about this place though, at least none that Ive experienced.
The property location is key, close to the freeway with little noise, great restaurants and shopping less than 5 min walk away. Attached garages are a plus and the various dog parks throughout are very convenient for the dog owner. As far as maintenance goes, just let them know before it becomes and emergency!I read my lease, if you read yours and go to the office, the assistant manager and manager have good hearts! :-)
Very helpful staff, worked with Rickey to find a great apartment. Very clean apartment, quiet neighborhood. Running a great deal right now for first months rent and fees. Couldnt be happier with my new spot at VOHC.
I wish I can put 0 stars but that is not an option!! Management is horrible. Whenever I go in they always have an attidude. They do not call you if they make changes to your account. They take forever to answer the phones. I can’t wait till my lease ends!!!!! I would not recommend living here unless you want random charges to your account and rude staff.
I was in a bind and needed to find an apartment fast. I had visited several communities but after visiting the Hampton Cove and dealing with Rickey Shea, I knew the search was over. Rickey was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable, and has kept us informed. He and the rest if the staff made the decision to move to the Hampton Cove a no brainer. I highly recommend.
My wife and I lived at these apartments about a year ago. She lived here as well five years ago and we are back for a third time. Rickey Shea was incredibly helpful and courteous! After searching around the city for a change of scenery, we decided that Hampton Cove was definitely the right place to come back to and call home. Thank you, Rickey!
I lived here about 4 years ago and loved it. Lease was for a year. Im back to this complex 4 years later and its still in great shape. I have always received quick, friendly service. The grounds are well maintained. Maintenance is quick to respond. Ive had 2 requests and theyve been completed within 24 hours. Neighbors are all very friendly. A mixture of single and extended families and students. It is a quiet and homey apartment. Glad I chose to come back!
Ive lived here for about 4 months now and Im glad I did. Staff are friendly, prompt in repair request, and even have breakfast at the office on Saturdays. Quiet at night too (apart from occasional fire engine sirens). Fair rates for comfortably-sized units.
I really love The Village of Hampton Cove Apartments! It is definitely the best apartment living experience that I have had in San Antonio! The property is nice and homey with trees throughout the property! The leasing agents, management, and maintenance staff actually care about the community and want for you, as a resident, to have a positive experience! Its awesome! :)
This place is not a friendly place to live. Make sure you read and memorize every rule thats on the lease. They love to fine you for the most trivial things. Up keep of the common areas are poor at best. The dumpsters will sit all weekend overflowing with trash. The breezeways between the apartments are never cleaned. Outside lights are full of decaying bugs. Been here almost a year and never seen them ever cleaned. When we get heavy rain the parking lots will flood. The staff for most part are here to collect the rent and bring in new tenants. After that youre treated like an inconvenience. If you have packages delivered and they show up at the office you may get it or may not. They dont sign for anything and act like its an inconvenience for them. And they absolutely love to serve their eviction notices for every little infraction. So if youre looking for a place to feel like home...skip this place. People move out in the middle of the night all the time. Theres way better choices for the money...buildings are dated...you hear everything your neighbors are doing. Cant wait till my lease is up.
Great place to stay in a nice area. Quiet and very clean complex inside and out! Pet friendly and staff is always very nice. Free breakfast on Saturdays is a plus! Would recommend to anyone!
Management could put a little more effort in being courteous and friendly! Always so rude and when in doubt their staff is definitely not adequately trained with the proper knowledge to answer questions. Think three times before considering to rent with them.
A great complex for a great price. I lived here for 2 years and its been the best apartment complex Ive lived in. The only reason I moved was due to the purchase of my own home. The amenities are great, its quiet and safe and the location is awesome, literally 15 from anywhere in SA. All of my maintenance requests were completed within 24 hours; an awesome track record for 2 years. The only bad part was the traffic that backed up on Huebner/Expo Blvd during rush hour, but that only lasted from 5-6:30 usually.Ill miss the free Saturday breakfast taco bar. The front staff changed over the years I lived there but I didnt even notice because there wasnt a drop in customer service. They were awesome from day 1.
I currently live at the apartments and lease will expire soon. I dont plan on moving and plan to stay as long as it benefits me. The #1 important thing to me when I moved in was how long they been with the same management company, I was told since 1995. Apartments that change management every 2 to 5 years has always been a red flag in my book from personal experience. The next important thing on my list was safety and security. How I evaluate that is based on them being gated, how close were they to other apartments because when apartments are too close to each other there seem to be more issues with crime, and what kind of families lived at the apartments. The people that live in the apartment community play the most important factor when it comes to living experience at a complex and Im grateful for the good people that live in the apartments. Finally if you compare the age of these apartments to newer apartments and the upkeep then you know they are really doing a great job in maintaining their apartments because I dont see building paint chips or water damage like other apartments. I saw the bad reviews and now I realized more that when people are mad they really go out their way to drive away business when deep down inside they know it was their fault for not following rules and payment issues. I wish people would stop writing reviews in the heat of the moment because people like me need good honest evaluations in reviews to make important decisions with living or quality while shopping.
Its just been 2 weeks since i moved out. I wanted to write a review of this apartment before i forget. I thoroughly enjoyed living at this community located in the peaceful area. Its located close to Huebner Oaks shopping complex, easy access to I10 highway, la cantera shopping mall and more. The leasing staff were very friendly & helpful. I did not have any issues and my maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. I enjoyed their Saturday free breakfast. Overall, my stay was a wonderful experience
I know Im not the first or will be the last to say that the staff here is outstanding! Jessica and Mallory in particular are very professional and should be idolized for there exceptional customer service!! They take initiative to get things done, the world needs more staff like them!!! Thank you kindly.

ASK FOR RICKEY! Weve been searching for weeks for a place that fits our needs and the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. He did a great job of showing us the property, walking us through multiple units, and answering all of our questions. If you are looking for a place to call your home, look no further.
The ladies in the front office are always willing to help out whenever there is any issues. The maintenance grew is always on time and never leave any kinds of mess behind. Have made many of friends with the other residence in the complex. Have lived here since August of 2016 and will stay as long as they are under the current management.
Talk about a hands on, customer service oriented place! If you want to be a part of a community and not just a complex... This is your spot! They ALWAYS go above and beyond to take care of you! They make their residents a top priority!
I love the location of these apartments!! The bedrooms are huge and they are very clean. They were a great place to be when we needed it. When it came to getting the apartment, we had 10 hours to find one and they were very accommodating.
Staff always rude, Communication sucks. Everyone we’re only nice before we moved in. Our shower faucet is been leaking for the 7th times, they take so long to Fix it (weeks)and at the end it’s never fixed, still always leaks .They can’t even come up with a solution for a simple shower leak. Let’s not talk about how small parkings spaces are. apartments are nice but poor management, they never handle anything the right way, Never say hello or welcome when someone walks in the office. Waste of money 👎🏻
Lived here for close to a year and have enjoyed it. Nice amenities, great location, reasonable rent.
They are horrible when it comes to communication and their excuse is that they are understaffed. The apartments are nice, but I wouldnt live here again. They are very inconsiderate and wont even bother to give you a courtesy call when making changes to your payment methods or other arrangements.
My wife and I were very impressed with this property and the staff. We needed a short term furnished unit while we transitioned into a new house, and the VOHC was the best decision we could have made. Very convenient location being so close to the shops and eateries on Huebner. We loved the dog park, the car garage, the peaceful vibe...a great place to live for however long you need.
This is a nice, well kept property. I have been here over six months and have yet to have any problems. Mallory who works in the office has been a big help since I moved in. Very pet friendly too.
I lived there for two years and they took every cent i had for one stupid thing or another. I am 70 yrs old and never bother anyone. Muriel is the most evil and ruthless manager i have ever met. they came to look at my water heater and flooded the whole laundry room and all my tools and cookbooks. never even said they were sorry. the garbage overflows every day, and there is no parking. my daughter and her little dog came to visit and they said she would have to sign the lease as well. are you kidding me? no matter how many times i told them she doesnt live with me, they never believed me. I left the apt in pristine order but never got my deposit back. I am still taking them to court. To tell you the truth i would rather let them have the money than to deal with her again. I told her everyone hated her and that pretty much sealed the coffin for me.Do not even think of living in this nightmare.
We stayed in a furnished apartment for 3 months with our kids. Parking sucks but the location, room size, and furniture, pool, rent, and everything else are great. I highly recommend this place for military on PCS or TDY orders. Dont forget to ask for a discount!
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!My wife and I got divorced and she is living in the apartment but of course the apartment was in my name. I got a call that I must IMMEDIATELY meet with the manager IN PERSON (because we cant talk about this over the phone) because I am in DIRE VIOLATION of my lease because my Ex-Wife is living in the apartment and not me.Rent is always paid on time, apartment is in perfect condition, yet theyre throwing a fit. Divorce is hard enough on a family and they want to get involved and make it all that much worse.
Hampton Cove is a great place to live.Pet friendly, Free coffee in business center with computers, printer and Fax......all FREE.Great workout center, (2) well maintained swimming pools. The front office personnel are classy and lovely.FREE Hot Breakfast on Saturdays........what is there to complain about. To complain must mean you are very, very spoiledand should get a room at the Hilton.
I loved living here. 13 month lease with my 2 roommates. Great access to I-10, great area, and the grounds are very nice. Never had a single problem with anything, rent, noise complaints, facilities, or anything else. We moved out and 4 months later we got harassing phone calls from a collection agency telling us that we owe them over $1400 to replace the carpet. We called them to find out that due to the two stains in the living room they had to replace the carpet in the entire apartment; every room. They sent us an email with the pictures of the stains and we believed that they didnt attempt to clean them which would have probably been the logical choice. I get some small charges for cleaning but some (like $20 for dusty blinds) was humorous. We have a hunch that since this is a high end apartment complex, they know that if they send a bill to a high roller (regardless of what its for) they will simply pay it without a fuss.
This place has some very serious safety and security issues.Individuals are harassed and followed to the point of calling 911 by an overly aggressive, vulgar/misogynistic off duty police officer, who identified himself as a courtesy officer. This plain clothed individual refuses to identify himself either verbally, ID wise, or with his badge number (illegal), yet demands you give him personal information and ID, including where you live (needless to say people are fearful for their well being). When speaking to management, they refused to say if he is an actual employee on payroll and liable for his actions under their company.Additionally, Management has no issue with sacrificing your privacy for security; openly bragging about how they let this individual look through cars at night with flashlights for extra security while their front gate is left open and unfixed for weeks at a time.Great location and great units, but HR has some work to do.
HelloIm at Apt 1107, The time Ive been at The Village of Hampton Cove has been very nice. Staff have been very friendly and helpful since Ive moved in.The maintenance workers have answered and have taken care of request within 24 hrs. and if not they give me a time to complete request. The only thing that Id like consideration regarding the company that blows the leafs is that because there are no plants or grass on the dirt areas, when they blow the leafs off of those areas dusts blows all over the cars.Great place to live.Thank you for all you do to.Martha Moreno
Do not rent here! Charges late fees for their own mistakes. ALWAYS something wrong inside my apartment and maintenance doesn’t seem to know the meaning of fix. Biggest waste of money and time.
Overall, the place is pretty poor. One of the two main gates either hangs ajar all day or, for a period of three weeks, the main gate was under construction, and many people could not even get in the other gate at the front entrance. I would often drive in to find three or four residents waiting for someone to have a keycard that works at the second gate (I was lucky enough to be one of those few). Upon originally moving in, we were told our apartment would not be ready for FOUR DAYS (granted, that is the mistake of the contractor; however, the complex still holds some responsibility for not letting us know). The communication is nonexistent, as when we first came to visit, we were told there was breakfast on saturdays. We would often walk over to the main office on saturday to find they had a sign that said breakfast was not being served (this has been the case for all but three or four weeks out of the four months I have lived here). If they would send an email or something, that would be different. In addition, the floor creaks like no other (think of the sound of a cartoon character from the old days trying to sneak, and youll get an idea of how bad it really is). The parking spaces, while being sufficient in number, are terribly small. The pros: Good location, decent price, and the maintenance and staff seem friendly enough.
Ricky Shea and Mallory Mitchell are so helpful and professional. Quick answers to all questions. I highly recommend the Village at Hampton Cove.
I have been living here since 2012 and i love it! The staff is awesome, great apartment complex and a great location. Highly recommend.
This property is in a great location! It is minutes away from The Rim, La Cantera, as well as other stores and restaurants. The complex is quiet and well maintained.
Ive lived here for 3 years, starting my 4th year. Id echo many of the other reviews. I loved the trees and peaceful feel of the complex when I first visited. The location is primo without being on a major thoroughfare, offering easy access to restaurants, shopping and I-10. Its not as surrounded by other complexes and so it does have more of that village feel. Management and maintenance are active and quick in taking care of the property and responding to the requests of residents. Some of the units are older and they need more attention. The management has been remodeling many of them. If you are an early riser, there is complimentary personal training in the provided gym. As well as a complimentary breakfast on Saturdays. Military gets a discount the first and 5th year. The hot water heaters is individual to each unit, and tend to be small (at least in my 2 bed/2bath) so it is easy to run through all the hot water in a couple of showers. The water bill is split between the units/residents in one building (the complex is made of many buildings); I wish that it was metered by our specific units. At the same time, the water bill seems reasonable and consistent so perhaps it isnt a big issue.
Frequent delays or lack of communication. The excuses are always the same from the office. That they do not have the staff to provide adequate communicationWhoever answers the phone has no power or can be of any help whatsoever as to any problems my girlfriend may haveThe one person who is able to help, Shelby, never is available and always seems to be out of the office at all times that my girlfriend callsThey never notify or provide a courtesy phone call or even email as to any changes they have made regarding payments or fees until after the fact of them being lateThey claim to be understaffed and make it out to be our problem to fix and deal withThey are rude and discourteous with every interaction my girlfriend or even I have ever had with themPackages may arrive and may dissapear for days, weeks, and even close to 2 months at one pointThey make no concessions or any forgiveness for any infractions no matter how minor or obscure they areWhile they cant help you with any problems you have they are real quick to serve eviction notices upon any infractions or late payments, even after you have been calling for days to resolve payment issues before it was an issueHonestly, I easily have 3 more pages of complaints against this place and their staff and I dont even live here. The only nice things I can say are the ameninities provided, gym, pools, dog parks, and the apartments and area are nice. But all that pales in comparison to the service and the absolutely abhorrent staff that run this place. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Cannot wait until her lease is over and she can leave.
The only good thing to this apartment is their location. I had countless experiences with their front staff and for the most part they dont know what they are doing. I have easily paid over $1000 in fees and quite frankly I am more satisfied breaking my lease than I was signing it. The parking is extremely reduced, so be cautious of your vehicle. Maintenance was kind. Overall my experience at these apartments was not appropriate to the amount paid. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!
Terrible. Would not recommend.
Very nice and helpful staff, Mallory, Rickey, and Desiree were very accommodating to my needs and quick move in date. The corporate apartments are beautifully furnished and very clean, along with the peaceful atmosphere of the complex; The Village of Hampton Cove is a lovely place to stay.
Rickey Shea Leasing Agent is great ! Rickey is very professional and courteous, and listens to clients needs and requests.Very easy to work with and if you end up leasing at Hampton Cove youll have the pleasure of knowing his work ethic beyond the leasing process !
Friendly staff, great amenities, free breakfast on Saturdays. Big fan!!!!
I was at this apartment complex for approximately 3 months and it was the worst tenant experience Ive ever had and Ive been in military housing. Lucky for this review I have to give it a 1 star. From the day we moved into a furnished corporate apartment it has been a nightmare. The apartment was dirty in general, towels provided were not white but were supposed to be, utensils had caked on food particles, and the list goes on. After a few trips to the front office requesting these issues be corrected and no clear answers I posted a negative review on google. After 2 days I received a call from the front office requesting a meeting, I believed they would finally provide a timetable to get all the issues on the initial walkthrough corrected or maybe recommend a different apartment. Instead I was confronted by Muriel, manager, and the head of maintenance where they proceeded to bully me into removing my post from google. First they threatened to evict me under a bedbug clause and after I provided proof that I did not stay at the bedbug motel, they then threatened to call the office at my job and inform them that I was being difficult so I offered to call my boss and the president of the company to accommodate them. After that attempt failed they then offered to release me from my lease. Seeing my limited options at the time, I asked them to correct the issues and then I would remove the post. After 2 visits to the apartments, they were able to correct most of the issues. One big issue was a leaking window in the master bedroom. Ill get to that issue. Throughout our stay we found more and more items that needed attention and everytime we asked that these issues get corrected we were met with apathy, disdain and at one point Muriel became confrontational with my wife over a toaster. After our fourth inquiry about the leaky window I called San Antonio Code Compliance to come and look at the window. Shortly after that we received a notice to vacant the apartment within 30 days. They of course did not call it an eviction since that would leave them open to a lawsuit for reprisal. However, coincidentally enough, the day the inspector came to look at the window was the day that they finally came to fix the window. At one point the girls refused to discuss anything with me stating, ...we dont want to say anything you can use against us.We managed to find a townhouse not far from that location so that our kids didnt have to change schools because of these people, while our house is being completed. The front office is full of girls that need to learn how to do the simplest tasks like how to program a key card, provide access codes, set up apartment phone or be helpful in general. If you like to be belittled, treated like a second class citizen, or pay way too much for very little service in return, then this is the place for you. Id be weary of the good reviews. I can see that at least 2 of them come from the people working in the front office.
Do not move here! This place has horrible parking where nothing more than a motorcycle can benefit from. The staff is kind but are not willing to help you in any way. Be sure to read All the fine print! Worst place I have lived and DO NOT recommend this place under any circumstance.
The Staff is super, from the front office to housekeeping and Maintenance. All do respond to all questions or problems, same day service. There is no better place to lived and enjoy your private place.
Ive lived at the Village of Hampton Cove for almost a year now. Ive havent stayed in many apartments but everything you would want in an apartment is here. They are conviently located near convienence stores, shopping centers and their location makes it perfect to avoid some of the rush hour traffic in the medical center. They have many great amenities and services like valet trash and an onsite trainer. My maintenance request have alway been handled swiftly. No bugs or rodents. Quiet property. The manager Murielle and the ladies in the office Chelsea and Tara, are always prompt, respectful and courteous. I have enjoyed my stay.
This place is terrible. My husband & I lived here from April 2014-April 2015. The manager is never there & when you can get a hold of her on the phone she is super rude. When we gave our written intent of leave the end of March 2015 we asked & were told multiple times we were taken off the auto-withdrawal for rent. But sure enough, they took out rent for May of 2015 even though we arent living there anymore. Weve never had this problem with any other complex. How hard is it to do your job? Its very frustrating when they couldnt even do the paperwork correctly even though we gave them a total month to do it. Pretty ridiculous.
Easy to work with and courteous service . The amenities are nice to have . Quick service response . Thank you Desiree!
Convieniently located off the ih10 corridor and Huebner Oaks Shopping Center. The property is maintained and kept nice and clean at all times. The staff is always friendly and professional. If i could give this property 6 stars out of 5 stars i would.
First let me start by saying that you probably wont even see this because they will hide/bury it but Ill give them the benefit of the doubt. The staff will make you feel extremely welcomed, especially Mallory. We were very pleased with the staff at first and were looking forward to move in. The unit we were wanting was not ready to view, however we were told that we would be able to view it until a few days prior to move in- no problem. 4 days prior to move in I called to view the apartment and they told me I could not because the carpet cleaning was scheduled for the day before move in.We signed the lease, made it official, and we were told not to use the washer and dryer until their maintenence team looks over the connections. Two weeks go by, three requests put in. Nothing. I had to go in with the broken lever from trying to turn on the water for them to come and look it over which I was then told that it was only a suggestion to have maitenance look it over and that we could have usedour washer and dryer this entire time.Fast foward to rent being due. I was under the impression my card would be ran for our first month until I received a late fee. Upon going to the front office I was threatened with eviction by the manager if I did not pay the late fee, or the one after that. The next month, I turned in an official check. Which was mysteriously lost followed by a 24 hours notice to vacate. My last month of rent I authorized a one time payment on my card. A week went by with no debit from my account which I then was told that if it was not taken out it was because my card was declined or I did not turn in an authorization form. It took me calling the corporate office of the complex in Dallas for them to run it. We hardly ever received our water bill- most of the time we just guestimated based off previos months. Ive never had issues with bugs.We had roaches in our apartment, our garage, and I even found one in my truck no less. My dogs have NEVER had problems with fleas before until I movedinto Hampton Cove. The office staff has gone through no less than 5 leasing agents in the year that I was there. If they do not like you they will certainly make it known if they too live in the complex.I have been moved out for a week or so now, and I feel like a million pounds has been lifted off my shoulders and the constant stress of living there and being afraid of coming home to some sort of notice, is gone.Thank you Jessica and Mallory for showing me what a terrible office staff is because I will appreciate the next complex so much more!
Nice apartments for a fair price, very pet friendly. Quiet area with easy access to Huebner Oaks shopping center.
Great place to live. They have a very friendly staff thats always willing to answer questions or help with anything
Never been so unsatisfied. Horrible service!
I lived here for almost two years. Yesterday I turned in my keys and said goodbye. When I got my apartment it was damaged doors were dented, refrigerator was dented. About 10 months ago I started to notice a leak coming from the ceiling above my bathroom when I informed the maintenance people they check it out on my sides and I never heard back from them. The rest of the situation was handled with the resident above me. I later found out they moved her into a temporary furnished apartment while they made the repairs to her tub...meanwhile nothing happened with me. I had a small electrical fire in my AC a few months ago thankfully I found someone to repair it quickly and turned the AC off after smelling smoke. Yesterday I tried getting someone to do a exit walk through but apparently maintenance leaves at 4pm and thats after I took a day off drove 3 hours from Houston to clean the apartment I took out all the trash, swept, vacuumed, and mopped. I was very disappointed and displeased with my time here at VOHC they dont offer an electronic service to pay rent, gym has out dated equipment and partially broken. Parking is a nightmare never enough spots available near your building. In short I have taken video of my clean apartment before I turned over the keys. I must say if your looking for a good apartment here look somewhere else...#Sanantonio #UTSA #USAA #UTHSC #apartments #northwestsanantonio #apartmentsId also like to mention that they bribe residents with free services, cleanings, or gift cards to post positive reviews.
Ive lived here for almost four years and I absolutely love it!! Great staff!!
