The last of the traditional Sale Lake City taxi companies offers fixed (regulated) rides within Salt Lake City, often at lower prices then the ride shares charge. We find the service is just as good to better than the ride shares. If arriving at the airport call Yellow and give them 15 minutes notice and theyll meet you at A3.

Had to call a cab for a client at work today. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and they arrived before they said they would. Great service!

My driver was amazing and got home exactly where I needed to be. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny because I got to where I needed to go.

Called to schedule pickup to the airport after a missed connection. After no sign of the cab, called the office only to be told “well I have too many riders and not enough cabs” and then he hung up. And they wonder why the industry is dying?

I have used this company for 19 years. Very few incidents. Except for that office manager jay hes stinky🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Seriously a bunch of great people😁

My driver was very helpful and polite, seemed to know the lay of the land very well. He even helped me load and unload my luggage as well and spoke fluent in English language give them two thumbs up.

Wish he had dropped us at curbside pickup. But he was on time and willing to get up early to pick us up.

I work for a hotel that attempts to use this company on a regular basis. I have not been spoken down to or hung up as consistently as I am when attempting to help guests make arrangements to use this service. Not just once but multiple times. As a hotel chain in salt lake we will no longer be recommending this company to our guests.

First driver refused my Delta voucher and was very rude and aggressive. The driver I actually rode with did nit know where the hotel was and spent the trip sriving while using Google on his ohone. He didnt see that we almost hit several cars or almost went off the road several times.

Made a reservation in advance. Driver did not show. I called dispatch and employee told me driver was never assigned and “phone has been ringing all night” because “Uber must be down” I never received phone call to inform me of unassigned trip. When I took the cab ride to the bank last week it seemed like the driver it wasnt very friendly. I couldnt get the the sliding door to his van open and hes like let me do it just let me do it just real crabby. Checking me out and stuff. Thats one of the biggest reasons I love Lyft. it just seems that the lift drivers have a better rapport with customers.

Set up an airport trip 2 days prior. Didnt bother to show up.

Called to get a cab was told 20 min. they never came called them back and they gave me the wrong address, they sent the cab to the wrong place but NEVER got me the cab I needed I will not call them again. not worth my time to call them. when calling them back they hung up on me, they were so rude very unprofessional if you could give no stars that is what I would do.

We were working in our business and somebody asked if we could call yellow cab to get them a cab. They ended up leaving before anybody answered the phone and when yellow cab called back they were absolutely atrocious and inconsiderate especially to somebody just trying to do somebody else a favor. They hung up on the person they were speaking with all just because they were confused and angry.

I called them and asked kindly for a taxi cab and they were so rude!

I called them at 11:47 and they told me it was gonna be a 45 minute wait and I told them that I would wait for the taxi it’s been over 45 minutes and they still never showed up and then when I called back they don’t have an answer of why the Taxi’s not here besides it’s been a really busy night

Almost asked for a tab so I could get a ride home. Decided to walk the hour and a half.

There was an employee named Paul Burnigham or something like that. Was the most unprofessional human being I have ever come across. Complained about the service and threatened to fight me. His cab smelled like wet dog. I was absolutely astonished. If you get this person. Would just recommend walking.

Extremely rude over the phone and not helpful. Everybody I’ve called has either had a sh*t attitude or has left me on hold for an unnecessary amount of time. DO NOT BOOK CABS WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unreliable service. Also don’t appreciate how some of your drivers ask inappropriate questions and invade your rider’s privacy. Not a fan of that. Just get an Uber instead, saves you the hassle.

Be careful around these drivers! I find them driving erratically all over the city. This particular driver was swooping in and out of the bike lane.Id recommend taking an uber instead, these guys are a real joke. At least uber can be trusted to police their drivers.

I live in the city and sold my SUV last December. Since then I have always used yellow cab when I dont want to walk or take public transportation. I have always been picked up within 5 to 10 minutes of calling. I have found that most drivers dont use GPS and I do need to help navigate sometime. I think before they start driving its best to have a solid understanding of where you are going. There has been one driver in a year of using yellow cab that I didnt like the way he was driving and acting other than that these men are very interesting and I love hearing their stories.Reading through the comments Im not really sure what the no-shows are about. I hope management is working to resolve this.✌️

My wife and I came back from South Carolina and thought it may be a little cheaper getting a cab home...WAS I WRONG!! The driver didnt even tell us how much it was going to be until after we left the airport...The driver flat out said $35...then when we got to the house..it magically went to $45..THAT IS CRAZY!!! From the airport to 7200 west???? really??? Not just that but the driver was very erratic when driving and almost ran someone off the road because he didnt check his blind spot...I am betting that person called him in...(7-20-20) at about 7:30 pm. NEVER AGAIN will I use Yellow cab..It is no wonder that more and more people are using UBER. My wifes nerves we shot after this cab ride...terrible terrible terrible...I am thinking a refund and some reprimands are in order here.

We were in town for a wedding and arrived a few days early to explore Salt Lake. We called a cab to get a ride to a bar downtown. They said they would be there in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes had passed, we tried calling back and couldnt even talk to anyone because an automated message said we already had a ride coming. He finally showed up after that. I told him the name of the bar we wanted to go to. He didnt know where it was. So I told him the address. He put it into his phone, and then started headed in the absolute WRONG direction! We had already explored the city a bit in our rental car so we knew he was going the wrong way and had to tell him which way to go. Finally it seemed we were headed in the right direction. Then as we were exiting off the freeway, he again takes a WRONG turn! I had to correct him yet again. Not at all impressed that we new tourists knew our way around better than he did, and that the taxi ride took longer (and cost us more money) for his wrong turns.

Never showed up after waiting 1.5 hours keeped telling me 15 minutes then 4 minutes finally got a call from driver saying he was 40 minutes out

They are always unclear about what the cost will be and the drivers always take twice as long as they say they will to arrive.

This was absolutely the worst experience of taking a cab in SALT LAKE CITY....WAS TRASFERED TO 3 DIFFERENT PEOPLE...just to get a CAB HOME From a night out....I take YELLOW CAB all the time...and have for over 20 years..I will think about using other ways from now on....if your employees do not care it must be a reflection on the ownership...poorer ownership... poorer service.....all I can say BOYCOTT YELLOW CAB....THEY ARE ONLY HERE TO SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS.....If I could give them 0 I would....

This is the second time that I have rode in a cab. He came and picked me up really quick and took me where I was going.

I only gave 1 star because I couldn’t pick 0. When I called they told me it was a $12 minimum, which I was fine with...but, I assume it was the driver who called me, then called and said it was going to be $18 minimum....just to make more money off of me. Not cool. I cancelled the ride, and someone still showed up. Lame. Uber gave us a ride to where we needed to go, and returned us for half the price of this place.

My wife and I called for a cab and was quoted a reasonable fee, the driver called us and increased the fee by half so we canceled the ride. We called an Uber who gave us the ride at half the original asking price and returned us at no extra charge. 10 minutes later Yellowcab showed up not realizing the ride was canceled on their end and a better service had completed the ride.

When they show up late or not at the correct location..then when you call them you get the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE❗❗wish I can give no stars at all! Like usual if I could leave zero stars I would I was quoted a 5 to 10 minute wait for a cab a Half hour later I call multiple times because my ride hadnt showed up I was extremely late for work and when I was finally able to get someone on the phone the same person that quoted me 5 to 10 minutes told me my ride had not been scheduled because there was no cabs in the area and then proceeded to hang up on me with a very bad attitude been a loyal customer for many years will never use again after the last incident along with many other times before UTE CAB IS THE WAY TO GO CALL THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Was flying out on Thanksgiving day; arranged for driver the day before. At half hour past arranged time, I called and was assured my driver was 5 minutes away. I called again, and was then told it would be 15 min. One dispatch person told me driver reported dropping me off at the airport!! I then started to panic as no one showed after hour and half. I ended up racing out to the airport in my own car. No one called to give me updates. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!!!

Generally I have always liked Yellow Cab. They were always on time or early and the drivers and dispatchers were always nice and courteous, however, the last 3 or 4 times I have used them they have been less than sub par. I even had a driver that was drunk one time and took a piss outside my place on the dumpster after throwing his bottles of beer away.Now tonight I have been waiting for 3 hours for a cab. The first time I called they said it would be about 20 to 30 minutes maybe a little more. After waiting for almost 2 hours my husband said I should call to see where the hell they are and when I called the new dispatcher said he just arrived to work and is not sure why no cab was assigned. So he said it would be anytime from when we hang up to 20 minutes and I would have a cab,An hour goes by and still no cab. My husband calls and the dispatcher says there arent any cabs in the area and he keeps putting in the request but no one is responding. WTF does that even mean? So they pick and choose who they do or dont want to pick up. This year alone I have easily spent 2000.00 with this company and this is how they treat my husband and me??No thanks I will try somewhere else. I have looked at the reviews on Ute Cab and they dont look any better but there arent any other companies to call really so here goes nothing. I will update with a review on Ute Cabs site.

Nope wouldn’t use their service if it were the last one on Earth - willing to park illegally and pass the cost of tickets onto their customers:“Aaron, were familiar with the current deregulated regulations. Feel free to call the police and have them ticket the taxi thats transporting the disabled passenger and temporarily parked in handicapped parking while the driver is assisting them. We can certainly pass the expense of the ticket on to the disabled passenger, or in most cases the medical facilities who are paying for the clients door to door transportation and ask us to park there temporarily (insurance companies, hospitals, housing facilities contracted by us etc). Though we could have all taxi licenses show the wheelchair emblem for you, or sticker every taxi with the blue wheelchair emblem youre focused on,(not a good choice) its generally understood legitimate taxi fleets do this all day everyday in the citys territory to provide much needed service. Though its not clearly spelled out in this specific and most current regulation, licensed taxi services required to carry fleet insurance for the Salt Lake City Corporation work closely with law enforcement at all times. Theyre considering new regulations for such use at the airport and within the Salt Lake City territory and the deregulation conversations continue and will be discussed with the new Mayor. Many of the conversations and considerations focus on the new airports opening late next year. We will continue to serve all disabled veterans and non-veterans who either cant afford to drive themselves, or who are not able to drive themselves and require close to door services and assistance. We apologize if our services offend you or somehow make you feel victimized - please understand our goal remains to serve the larger community and we will do so proudly as post TNC state/city regulations are rewritten. Again, please feel free to call the police to have the taxi ticketed.”

In the evening we ordered 4:30 am cab to the airport for the next morning, they did not show up, we called them - they said they just do not have a car right now. They never called us to let us know, never apologized. They deserve zero stars here.

You are better off hitching a ride in your birthday suit along Main Street in front of the Mormon Temple on Christmas Day than waiting for anyone from Yellow Cab to show up to take you anywhere.I called for a cab at around twenty-five minutes to eight this morning. I needed to arrive someplace by nine. Even during a busy day like Pioneer Day, this shouldnt be a tall order. I was told by the dispatcher that she could get someone out there within 30 minutes. I told her that was fine as long as I could get to my destination by nine. She says to expect someone there at around 8 or 8:10, which is acceptable.I go out to wait for the cab at around 7:45, since it may arrive earlier than I was told. No one arrived, which wasnt a huge surprise, but I wanted to be prepared.But because getting to my destination was important to me, I called at around 8:05 to check on the status of my cab. I get the same dispatcher with whom I had originally spoken. She tells me that the cab arrived at 7:50 and had tried to call me. Not only had I received no such call, but I inform her that nobody had ever arrived.She then informs me that because I never picked up the call, she canceled my cab. I inform her that I didnt receive the phone call and that I had been outside at the time the cab allegedly arrived and saw nary a taxi. This dispatcher, who is being incredibly snotty at this point, reads off a phone number that this (probably imaginary) driver called. It is NOT my phone number, or anything even remotely resembling any phone number that Ive ever had while living in Utah. I give her my correct phone number and tell her to send another cab.This is where it gets crazy. She swears at me and tells me that I need to not blame her when I canceled the cab. I tell her to send another cab and put me through to her supervisor. She says that she is the supervisor. I ask if she has a boss who I can contact. She tells that I need to call another cab company and hangs up on me. She never once apologized for making any error OR even took responsibility for making a mistake.For the love of God, do NOT use this company for anything unless you dont plan on actually arriving at your destination. Their dispatcher is rude, lazy, and incompetent. Furthermore, there are at least TWO other companies in Salt Lake City that have BETTER service for LOWER prices: Ute Cab (who I recommend) and City Cab (they may come late, but at least theyll dispatch a cab for you).

Of all the taxi services in Salt Lake Yellow Can is the best. The cabs are a clean and many other drivers are very personable I have always had wonderful conversations with many of the drivers and their phones were to show up timely efficient.

This place had a booth at the airport and being unfamiliar with the city, I used them for convenience.I was told at the booth it would be a fare of $24 USD.The cab came and it whilst the driver was nice enough, the cab was not clean.A 10 minute drive to our hotel and the meter read $20. I offered to tip him $5 and had $40 so I asked him to return $15 to me. He then told me the fare was $40 as the $24 fare was only for 2 people. I had my wife and 3 kids in the car.He even pulled out a flyer confirming the price. I wasn’t happy but obliged as it was in writing.He drove off without giving me a receipt. I later found out from the hotel the flat rate was $25 and I’d been ripped off.Won’t use this company again.

Cab driver was quite late and I was on the way to the airport for a flight. Even though he was late he still expected a reasonable tip. They asked for an advance credit card authorization ($85!) which still has not been reversed in my account after I ended up paying cash days ago. I would recommend paying a little bit extra with other cab companies to get better service.

Booked a cab online the night before for a 4am trip to the airport. 10 mins after we were supposed to leave I had to call dispatch to have them send a different cab. 20 minutes later he shows up. Almost missed our flight, and he charged double what the websites estimator stated we would be charged. Use an app, even Ubers scheduling feature is more reliable than this service.

Made me give him the money before hand and turned the meter off almost to my destination it was at 11 dollars at that point and was not much father he tried to give me only 5 dollars change out of fifty and when I asked for more back said he wouldnt help me again n acted like I was a piece of shut for asking. Never mess with this place called another cab after they were super polite didnt over charge and was really happy with the ten dollar tip I gave.
