Brandon and his team were great! We were looking to get AC installed and he gave us options for what was best for our home. Scheduling was easy, value and quality were great. I would definitely recommend over alot of the more well known companies in the area.

These are the people you do business with!!! I was in a pinch, and he came out, got the system working again, and put together an estimate for a new system. Didnt push, and did everything that he could to keep it up and running because he understood my situation. I would give 10 stars if I could.Its hard making a choice when looking for an HVAC person if you dont know one, but please consider Brandon because he really knows his stuff, and is just a good guy.

Did some pricing around and decided to use these guys to get a new HVAC zone for our upstairs. They installed a whole new system for me in the attic over the course of 4 days. Im sure they could have gone faster, but I had some special requests about how it was to be installed and they were perfectly willing to work with me on those. Thats another thing I liked-I knew what I wanted (which was a bit unconventional) and Brandon let me know what I was asking was unnecessary, but didnt try and talk me out of it like some of the other guys I had had come out (one of them pretty much refused to do it because it would be more work and he didnt want to do that). In the end, I Know A Guy offered one of the lowest bids, worked with me to get everything just the way I wanted, and even went to the added effort to install the lines on the outside edges of the attic to leave room for storage in the middle.The system is too new for me to talk about how well it works, longevity, honoring warranties, etc, but Im very happy with the process up to this point and would recommend these guys for anyone looking at getting a new system.

There is a reason these guys have good ratings. Their teams are friendly, respectful, and informative. During installation, one of the pieces broke late in the process. They apologized profusely and said they would be back in the morning as soon as their supplier opened. The next thing we knew we got a call from the manager who said he was searching for the missing part so that we could have heat that night (one of those crazy chilly spring nights). An hour later he had found the part and was at our door by himself to come and fix the problem. He did so quickly and efficiently. These guys are seriously awesome. HIGHLY recommend.

Brandon was very great at communicating and was very professional. When he was running late he gave me a call to let me know which I really appreciated. All in all, he was in and out in no time I would definitely recommend him and keep going to these guys for my hvac needs!

Our AC went out the night before a 100 degree heat wave. I called Brandon at noon and he was miraculously able to get someone out to us that afternoon and they fixed the problem same day! Full Disclosure: I have not used this HVAC company.Yesterday I had the opportunity to interact with the owner. Ive never met him before and he had no reason to think I would ever meet him again. Despite that, I was in a jam and he really went out of his way to help me out. He was friendly, kind, and generous with his time. I am planning on upgrading my home HVAC system and I will absolutely be reaching out to I Know a Guy for the work. I believe that anyone with his quality of character will produce similar quality of work. Based on the other reviews here it is clear that hes provides outstanding service.

Charged me $70 to wipe off a sensor with a dollar bill & left. Took all but 5 minutes. I thought the system might’ve had a warranty from prior maintenance or installation but it didn’t. BUT might i add that the owner is very personable.

The install team was right on time, worked quickly and informed me of the process as they worked through the day. They were respectful and also wore masks while in our home (covid procedure). My furnace was having issues, I was at a loss as to what it was. I called and got a friendly voice and someone willing to patiently listen to problem. After listening to my explanation of the problem he had a good idea what it could be. Brandon was able to stop by within a few hours, checked out the furnace and diagnosed the problem quickly. It was a very simple fix, he showed me what to do in the future if it happens again, patiently answered all my questions. Very professional and knowledgeable. Just charged me a simple, reasonable service call fee. I would definitely call again for any service, Im already planning to call them in the spring to check out the A/C.

Last Sunday my furnace decided to stop working. Dustin came over, quickly diagnosed the issue, went to work, and explained each step along the way. Even installed a new carbon monoxide detector for me. If youre looking for honesty and good work, all at a fair price, these are your guys!

Brandon, Dustin, and the crew are absolutely awesome. My story was a comedy of errors. The AC unit has been visually (and sound-wise) awful for a long time. While on vacation, a neighbor heard what she described as my AC blowing up and it stopped spinning up for a day or so. Of course I get home and it runs, maybe too well because the outside unit wouldnt turn off and it was freezing cold inside. So I knew it was on its last leg. Brandon and Dustin came by and just like taking a car to the mechanic, when they arrived it miraculously started working how it should. You cant fix whats not broken, right? I was impressed right off the bat--Brandon was very straightforward and honest with me, and even offering to help bandage it to get it through the season if it were to fail. (Money has been tight)Of course... a week later, I go out to watch a movie and come home to a home at 86 degrees and climbing. The outside unit not turning on at all. I figured it froze so I turned the AC off, let it rest and tried it again. This time it came on but was sputtering out hot air and the house smelled like the furnace was blasting.I called Brandon in a bit of a panic, and he was AWESOME. He came out the next day to help patch it up, while we wait for an opening to replace my unit (they were a week out, which I expected since summer is in full swing). Unfortunately, it was a bit beyond patching--the benefits did not outweigh the risks in this case. He was very upfront and honest about what could be done, costs, and giving a professional assessment.I was already impressed, but then he said hed see about moving some of his lower priority commitments to squeeze me in earlier. The next day, a crew came by and installed the replacement AC. They were more than reasonable cost wise... didnt gouge me with an emergency surcharge like some places do... They didnt try to upsell, or any of that sketchy stuff... My friend who suggested this company was absolutely right, these guys are AWESOME and very good, honest people. Im singing their praises, and HIGHLY recommend these folks.Oh and I didnt mention this but they are very nice to talk to, professional, and charismatic...They are patient and answer your questions in a non-intimidating way. I cant say this enough this company was amazing. After being screwed over by Any hour hvac this company took care of me. They installed an air conditioner for me. During the install they found a problem with the ducts. They repaired with no extra cost. I encourage anyone to call I know a guy first. They have serious integrity and truly care about their customers. Thanks again you have made a customer for life.

These guys are amazing. I will never use anyone but them. They are friendly, honest, all around great people. My husband has been in the icu for weeks and my furnace went out. They fit me in to their already packed schedule and came right over and fixed it. Sometimes its hard to find a reliable company but these guys show theres still great people. Thank you again! With summer coming I decided that it was time to get air conditioning. After calling around to a few places and reading some reviews I landed on I know a guy HVAC. And I’m so glad that I did, Brandon and Dustin are incredibly knowledgeable and offered the best prices in the Salt Lake Valley. They were able to install my AC and get everything done in a single day. Now my swamp cooler is gone and I’m sleeping like a baby. If you’re looking for AC these are the guys to go too.

If you have HVAC issues (or just need a tune up), Brandon is your guy. He is honest, quick, likeable, and really reasonably priced. When my AC started making noises it shouldnt last week, I didnt panic because I Know a Guy. We contacted Brandon. He fit us in and was able to troubleshoot the problem, tell us how much it would cost, and replace it the part really quickly. I always feel really lucky when I find a good honest tradesman, and Brandon and I Know A Guy fit that bill.

Very pleased! I feel like these guys struck the perfect balance between casual easy-goingness and skilled professionalism. The bid was way faster and way cheaper than the bid I got from a bigger company even though the equipment was virtually identical. Communication was great, they made sure that I knew the costs/benefits before any decisions were made. They really did make it feel like you know a guy in the HVAC business.

These are the hardest working dudes in the business! They came to our ancient weirdly laid out house, (built in 1890), figured out how they were going to do everything, added the ductwork, installed HVAC in 100+degree days, most of it in our crawlspace, and totally powered through the job. Everything is working impeccably, and their prices were amazing. Plus they gave my insane dogs WAY more patience than anybody ever would have. I cant say enough about how much I appreciate the hard work and effort they put into installing all of this in our house and getting it done in a timely manner too. I will seriously be referring everyone I know to them from here on out.

These guys did a great job repairing my HVAC, even though the job got a lot harder than originally planned due to mistakes made by the last repairman. They worked all day until the job was done and honored their original bid even though I tried to pay them more because of the additional work required. They earned themselves a lifetime customer!

These guys solved a problem for the poor design of the drain arrangement for my AC that has been a problem since I bought my home over three years ago! (It involved where the floor drain is in the closet, along with the angles of the PVC pipes places to drain the AC condensation when running) Ive had a handful of plumbers and a few other AC specialists work on it with no lasting success. They put new pipes in with a much better design to angle correctly over the drain, and made a silicon dam around the drain to prevent the overflow for good! And they only charged me a fraction of what others have charged just to come look at it and do nothing!!! I wish Id known about them from day 1!

Excellent sevice, punctual, and reasonable prices. Our heater broke down on a Friday afternoon and Dustin quickly found the problem for our old heater. He had to find an exact engine to the heater, but had to wait till Saturday, but while Dustin kindly lent us some heaters for the night. And the next day installed the new engine. We recommend this company value for its services.
