WOW! We are SO glad we found CMC. I cant tell you how many reviews I was reading online (sweating up a storm as our AC unit went out!) and review after review, we finally pulled the trigger and gave them a call. We called Sunday morning hoping to have someone save us from the dying heat. Bill was so nice and asked my husband lots of questions to help determine how to best assist us. Unfortunately Sunday wasnt an option, but man were they worth the wait! Bill sent Cody out and he was very professional, knowledgeable, on time, answered any questions we had. Not wanting to take the time or go through the hassle of shopping, I asked a trusted friend if they knew of anyone. Response was yes, we have used CMC for many years, and you cant go wrong. They are honest and do a good job. So, I called and spoke to Bill who was patient and helpful with my questions. He sent Cody out to see what I had, and they then made their recommendations. Fairly quickly, it seemed clear they knew what they were doing which was consistent with what my friend had told me and with my limited knowledge on the subject so I went ahead and had them install a new furnace and AC. Cody did a great job installing. He was knowledgeable, helpful, professional, on time and performed quality work. Bill took several of my calls with questions and they both gave me options and what they would do if it were them which gave me the information I needed to make decisions without having to spend a bunch of time on this. Overall, I was very pleased with CMCs quality, service and pricing. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend them.

CMC installed an AC unit in our house right before the really hot weather hit. We have a ranch style older home and the installation was challenging. The owner had installed a new furnace in an older house i had purchased years ago, and I was so thrilled to find CMC again. Much of the work had to be done in our crawl space, and the furnace had to be lifted on the main floor to fit the ductwork. Cody was thorough, dependable, and especially skilled and knowledgeable. He checked all the vents in the house and found that our kitchen vent was not hooked up! He made the repair and then double checked the system. He programed the thermostat then made sure we understood how to operate the system. I cannot imagine there is a more competent and reliable AVAC Company anywhere.

Within the last year Ive had to replace both my furnace and my AC - quickly! The furnace went out in the dead of winter and the AC died just as the summer heat ramped up. Bill and Cody were absolutely wonderful making sure that we were taken care of immediately. They explained everything in detail eliminating a lot of the angst one feels when making such large purchases. These guys are just great!

I called several HVAC companies to get bids on a new furnace. When I called CMC I spoke with Bill and he was very kind and accommodating. They sent their tech. Cody out, he took the time to go through everything to make sure it even needed to be replaced. After the inspection they took the time to go over everything with me and show me what was going on. I have used CMC Heating for several years. They are always willing to come and do whatever work is necessary. They are very professional and give me an up-front estimate before they do any work. They guarantee their service. I have them come every fall and change filters and get the air conditioner serviced, and get the furnace ready for the winter. They are honest and fair, and I highly recommend them.

Ive used CMC for a long time, always with great results. Most recently, CMC helped mere out when it was really hot. I live in a condo complex in an older building. When my AC went out, and since its an old system in an old building, I needed a new system. CMC ordered and fully installed a new system for me within a few days. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, honest and professional. They have never tried to up-sale me. I am on vacation and felt a need to share my experience and the money I saved allowing me to spend it elsewhere. I had a service call last week from CMC Heating and Air Conditioning.The technician was Greg and it was a very positive experience. He is one of the most straight forward service people weve had in our home. I had called another company and was told my induced draft assembly needed to be replaced at the cost of over $600.00. I questioned this because my furnace is only seven years old. Greg came out and took apart the furnace and removed a dead bird. He also did maintenance, changed my filter and called it good all for a service call. Furnace is now working great! I will refer this company.

We just replaced our AC and Furnace at the same time. It was time! CMC was very easy to work with. No problems from the beginning to the end. I like that they are a small outfit that is honest and does what they say theyre going to do. We spoke to one person throughout the process and everything was done when she said it would be done. These days you never know if there will be additional costs. Im happy to say, that the quote we got was exactly what they originally gave us. I would highly recommend them. Furnace Replacement and Repair in Salt Lake City, Utah at its finest! Our furnace and air conditioner went out a few months ago and I cant say how happy I am that we called CMC Heating and Air. CMC is an honest business. I did a ton of research when my 25 year old furnace went out of commission. I looked at all kinds of brands, called multiple companies, and received 4 different bids from competitors. This process really opened my eyes to the dishonesty in the industry. Bill from CMC was straightforward and gave me an honest bid and worked with me on the price of a new Lennox efficient furnace. Greg the technician was knowledgeable, trained, and courteous. I trust their service. It would be wrong of me not to take the time and review the company in the recognition they deserve. My house is warm, the furnace/service is great, and I would definitely recommend CMC to a friend.

CMC was able to help me assess the problem with my Furnace Repairs and instead of charging me an arm and a leg they were honest about the part. I did some research first on youtube and realized I couldnt fix it myself. I highly recommend their Furnace service. They were quick and reliable. In the spring I am going to have them look into a new AC system.

I called and spoke with someone named Bill about having the vent on my furnace changed so that it would hug the furnace and not stick out as I want to install sheet rock and have the furnace in its own room. Bill said they would come out and see what I needed, no mention of a service fee whatsoever. Bill called later after the serviceman left to inform me that the charge would be a whopping $250 + to change the vent and install some sort of sensor that they said I needed every 6 years. When I balked at the charge he said they would take off the $69 sensor and only charge me $189 to change the vent, then lowered his price to $155 when I still wasnt buying his line. He asked, Did I tell you we were giving you a free estimate? Nobody does free estimates in this business. I was disgusted by then. He went on to tell me that I could call Action Dog for $33, they would come out and break my furnace, then charge me a lot of money for the repair. Well, enough said. Tearing down another business is the final blow; I would never recommend this company

Over the years, CMC has been an extremely reliable and honest company. I have had my heater go out in the midst of a winter storm on christmas eve, leaving me and my family freezing. After calling CMC I instantly got a reasonable bid, break down of costs, and a repair man at my door shortly after. They were honest about what was needed to fix the problem without busting my bank, and were punctual, kind and clean. I have shared this company with my friends and family, and have been happy to see that they have continuously treated everyone with the same great care. I would recommend this company to anyone! BEST service you could ask for!

Its very scary calling hvac people. You never know how much its going to cost and who is coming out. We had the best experience with CMC. From Bill trouble shooting with us over the phone for 30 minutes over Memorial Day weekend and Cody coming out and doing a Suparb job.Very professional and helpful the entire time. Pricing is beyond reasonable. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

I would not recommend using CMC Heating and Air Conditioning as in my experience they have been an unprofessional and dishonest company. Although their maintenance on our furnace was acceptable to our knowledge, there are many other local, family-owned businesses in the area that are much more professional, can do good work, and dont leave your stomach turning after interactions with them. The two main reasons why I wouldnt use this company again are: 1) They were dishonest in charging us for the replacement of a $74 part (it wasnt even broken, it was just a suggested preventative replacement I found out) when we were not notified or asked for approval before doing this work. I was easily accessible in the house during their visit and could have easily been asked. It wasnt until after I received the bill in the mail that I found out about it (FYI they dont breakdown their charges on their invoices either so you have no idea of what you are paying for that is adding up to the total, especially when it is almost twice as much as they quoted you initially for their maintenance visit so you are forced to spend time contacting them to get any answers). 2) Which brings me to my second reason, unprofessionalism. When I contacted the company about the higher than quoted bill, I was told that the extra charge was for this part replacement. I then asked why I hadnt been notified at the time of the service, especially if it wasnt a necessary repair. I was told that I most certainly was notified of it, because their repair person never makes mistakes so I basically must have either forgotten or must have not been listening. I was taken a back by this as I am an incredibly reasonable person who if I had been notified of this expense I would not be contacting them in the first place and also if this man would have simply apologized and said that it must have been a terrible oversight on their part, I would have been disappointment but not upset. He stuck by this (insulting me in the process by saying that I clearly was told when I wasnt). I then let them know that I would be paying the bill but most likely would not be using them again. He then calls me back a few minutes later and leaves a message letting me know that he had talked to the service person and that he thought he had told me of the charge when he was here, but that they could come by and take out the new part and put the old part in if that mattered (which wasnt even the issue) -- no apology or no acknowledgement for charging us for something that we never authorized. In additional to the interaction surrounding the unapproved charge, they have been consistently late to scheduled maintenance appointments. On this past visit the repair man was almost two hours late, rushed in, was at our furnace for barely 30 minutes (we were paying close to $100 for this annual maintenance visit), and practically ran out the door with only saying your invoice will come in the mail -- no other update or information. It felt very much like he was just trying to do the job as fast as possible to catch up for being behind schedule, and left me wondering how good of a job he had done (in past years, doing the same job without any part replacement, it took 45-60 mins).Dont waste your time, go with another local owned heating and cooling company that makes you happy to do business with them.

Had a great experience with bill and tracy delt with a couple of other company before calling cmc i was frustrated and they worked with me and in just a couple of days it was done tu bill and tracy

I called cmc to see if they would come look at and repair a central air unit that had stopped working. The technician was 2 hours later than the time window they gave, didnt perform any service other than saying it was likely the fan motor and compressor, and then charged $96 for this service.Edit: After posting this I have received harassing phone calls about my review. I will not be removing the review.
