Extremely professional service shop. These guys do it right. My car is kind of long in the tooth (high mileage subaru), and I trust Craigs to help it age gracefully! They are quick on the job, and honest about their work. Theyll call you if anything unexpected comes up during a repair/tune-up, and they dont overcharge or try to take advantage. Cant recommend them enough if you live nearby or are traveling through and need a shop you can trust.

They said they can do emissions test quickly and they really do! I wasnt expecting it to be so quick and easy. But they did the renewal for me and I was in and out in 15 minutes. I will definitely be using Craigs for my future needs.

Terrible customer service! All I needed was an oil change and they took literally an hour and a half to finish it, then they charged me $120 for only the oil change!!! Terrible place, unapologetic.

While on a cross country road trip, we encountered some car trouble while in Salt Lake City, UT for lunch. Another mechanic in the city suggested Craigs and we could not have been happier about the service. They found the issue right away and told us that they could get us on the road the next morning. this was amazing new and came along with a very fair price. HIGHLY recommend this service center!!

These guys totally ripped me off - I asked them to diagnose some problems with the suspension that was making clicking noises. They told me I needed new tires - I told them to actually look at the suspension and then call me back for the $50+ I prepaid for the diagnosis. They said the wheel bearing was out in the drivers front side, so I asked them to change it which they said they did (like a $450 repair which wasnt a bad price compared to other mechanics). Problem is still there, so I had the struts changed out at Titos auto and problem solved. Only now the bearing they (may or may not have) put in is jacked up and the wheel has an inch and a half of play (because the bearings are bad) - I just had Big O tires fix it for $550 and the bearing was in horrible shape.

Best service I’ve had in Salt Lake City - I won’t take my car anywhere else. Affordable prices for fast, quality work. Teal is honest and always has his customers’ best interests in mind.

I was hearing funny noises. Criags saw me same day and the gentleman mechanic got in the car with me and took a ride to talk and hear the noise in my car. ! So amazing and personal, Ive never had a mechanic do that for me. They fixed a small issue and I was out in an hour, thanks guys !! A day earlier.... I took my car to Burts Brothers (only cause I live next door) and they dramatized my car issues and we telling me to replace my front left CV and get a whole new clutch, $2000 for my 1999 subaru outback legacy. Obviously i didnt go with that option... go to Craigs ! 👍

Craigs service center is phenomenal! They are one of the most pleasant mechanic shops Ive ever interacted with (and as a woman this isnt always the case with many shops). Ive taken several cars here and had a wonderful experience. Stetson and Teal were my mechanics for years and after a car accident they were fantastic about helping me through the process. I bought a new vehicle and as soon as my dealership free oil changes were up I was straight back to Craigs. I even took my parents car here when they were in town over Christmas and Teal got them in right away, and fixed an issue with their heater. As long as I live in Salt Lake this will always be my go to mechanic!

Walked in and asked if they could give me a quick emissions test. They took care of me right away and were done in about 15 min.Everywhere else I called wanted me to leave my car for the day or suggested it would take a few hours. Craig’s was a life saver since I’m crunched on time this week.Going to start coming to them for other services as well. Thanks for your great service!

I love this place. Reliable. Very good care of my vehicle and wonderful customer service. They remember me for every oil change. Very kind as well. I love how it’s a small place and I love supporting local businesses. My oil change was about 2 hours. I love the detailed write up I get on what they did for my truck as well. I feel like an appreciated customer here and it shows in their work.

Friendly people and straight forward. I needed a brake job and an oil change and the guys were quick about it. The only downer was that the oil change was a bit pricey for my liking but they came back and said its worth the money for the better oil and filter. Well see. All in all, a swell experience. Would recommend, will be returning.

They have helped me diagnose multiple problems that ended up being a simple fix I could do on my own, but they still spent the valuable time free of charge explaining to me what was wrong. In an industry like this honesty and transparency is everything and these guys uphold a remarkable reputation that continues to get repeat customers around the area.

I really appreciated the thorough work these guys did on my Honda Odyssey minivan during just a routine oil change. They replaced our peeling license plate stickers, had great customer service & never talked down to me, and even taught me about better tire options for how heavy our van is, with a free quote included so I could know how much to save up for when the time came for new tires. Ill be a loyal Craigs customer as long as I live here in SLC!

I had put my car in early in the afternoon for service. There was a 3-day weekend and they chose to close 30 minutes early on a Friday instead of finishing the job telling me “you can come back and we’ll finish next week”. Yeah like I have tons of time to come in, especially when you’re only open on weekdays. I could have driven to a local dealership and had the same work done for $100 less with a free car wash and no excuses. I’ve learned my lesson.

I came to Craigs to fix my AC and check my wheels and they were awesome! They did not try to just take my money and talk me into fixing the AC now (kind of expensive) but explained it can wait till spring or summer. I really appreciated how respectful they were and how great they fixed the other parts! Highly recommend!

I am from Utah county, and I was pretty upset when I had a belt snap while running an errand in SLC. I googled the closest auto shop, and was pleased to see how many good reviews the closest one to me (Craigs Service Center) had.I called them, and told Teal what happened, he quickly helped me arrange for a tow, and began preparing his team for my vehicle. Despite having several other customers, his team had my car up and running with 1.5 hours of dropping it off, for a price far below what I was expecting to pay.I told Teal he needs to open up a shop in Utah county. This was the fastest turnaround and best service Ive ever seen at an auto shop. They really do a spectacular job.

Staff is always eager to help, and willing to negotiate. I needed my unmounted winter tires installed on my car, and they matched a lower price that I had gotten them for at another shop because I have been a frequent customer at Craigs. Very transparent company.

Ive used Craigs Service Center for a large repair: clutch, flywheel, and clutch slave cylinder replacement. They people there are great! They had my car back to me in a few days and were very commincative throughout the process. The bill came in under what the estimates of many other repair shops. Teal was a great help thoughout the process. I will make this my go-to repair shop.

I have come to this place several times to buy gas and honestly, if I needed work done I would bring my car here. Funny, the ones on here leaving negative reviews are the same ones who leave bad reviews for other businesses as well. As a business owner myself, I always check to see the other reviews a person has wrote for other companies if they leave a bad review. If this is the case, I wont take their review seriously because it can be one of two things:1. A Competitor2. A person whos had a bad day and wants to take it out on someoneEither way, if they leave bad reviews all the time and none of them are good, the person is a chronic complainer and you cant do anything to please them. Especially the one who never had any work done but still felt the need to complain. What she does not understand is the cost of owning a business. You have employees to pay, taxes, city taxes, county taxes, rent, building maintenance, insurance, workers comp, shop supplies, hazardous waste fees, tools, utilities and the list goes on. So if a shop is charging 50.00 for an oil change, dont complain because places that charge 19.99 for an oil change use low grade oil, and most of all, they dont care about your car. I change my own oil and the 50.00 is a CHEAP price. Put in the cost of the oil, filter, the employees time and 50.00 IS A BARGAIN!

Love this shop. I do a lot work on my car on my own, but occasionally Ill go to a shop for things I dont want to deal with. Last time it was to drain my AC system, and they did it for free. Ive also had great experiences with them getting things done quickly when I need them to.To the previous commenter, $50 does sound like a lot to replace a battery, but could have been reasonable if they were cleaning up a lot of corrosion from the previous battery.And $50 is pretty standard to have a shop change your oil. Youre paying a legitimate mechanic to do it as opposed to some kid who never touched a car prior to getting a job at jiffy lube. Oil changes arent hard, but they do take some time... Not to mention we may not be comparing apples to apples depending on the type of oil the shops were using.

I went in before and they gave me an estimate for a tune up about $150. I came in and told them that my battery cable connection was bad and needed to be replaced and that was the only thing needed to be done. However when I returned they told me I had to replace my radiator which had no previous problems! Not only were they going to overprice it, my radiator (prior was not leaking) leaked all over my driveway! Its kind of a suspicious visit since no prior problems showed. Ill never go back here.

Craig is the man. I walked into the shop and they immediately had my car in the garage diagnosing the problem. I needed a new fan clutch so they ordered it for me Tuesday morning and I came back Wednesday morning for installation. Great service for a decent price. Was able to get in quickly today for an oil change. Was surprised that I wasnt being upsold on anything or offered extra unnessary services. I would recommend. I was prepared to spend a lot more on probelems that might have cropped up for my 60000 service even though the car ran fine. Instead they tested fluids, checked everything over, including the brakes, tightened bolts, and indicated where to keep an eye on things for the future... that was it. The differential fluid was the only thing they suggested but even then they werent pushing. I would definitely go back. My wife went to her Kia dealer for her cars 60000 service and it cost her $1000 on things before she said enough already. Wish I would have sent her here.

You won’t find a better car repair shop in UT. All the 1 star reviews are haters and would have done the same review for any other car shop they went to. These guys do 5/5 service every time. I’ve gone to countless car shops and the only other one that came close was a similar family owned shop in Michigan. They really care about you. Also, Teal, the dude who runs it is the man.

I was robbed!I Went in to get a clamp tightened that was causing a leak in one my antifreeze lines. I was there for about 15-20 minutes. They worked on my car for about 5 minutes. Expecting to pay maybe about $10 or even free for something so simple, I was unpleasantly surprised when the total cost was $39.00. Service was nice but ridiculously overpriced. What a scam.FIRST AND LAST TIME I WILL EVER GO TO THIS SHOP.

Just this past week I had a situation where another shop gave me incorrect information about my car, and then wanted to charge me upwards of 200$ to fix it! I’ve never been charged $50 to read a check engine light and airbag code. This place will clearly nickel and dime you despite mostly good reviews. I would stay away at all costs as 15 minutes cost me $50 and my car still left in the same condition it was in when I arrived

My car died due to Craigs professional care; after half month of his attempts to fix my transmission, he put on my car semi-axe that was 1.5 shorter than it should be almost causing a traffic accident; so it is not just the waste of time of your money and time, his work is actually dangerous. I wish such people go out of the business.

NOT EVEN POOR - My experience at Craigs Service Center - I am senior, female, handicapped with handicapped husband - been to Craigs twice - ripped off - TWICE - they allegedly fixed probem on my 99 Tahoe TWICE - Some $700 later I took it to the Chevy dealer - they fixed the problem - Craigs DID NOT FIX the problem - I was obviously charged for parts/labor that DID NOT FIX the problem.. I contacted BBB - they sent letters to Craigs twice - NO RESPONSE - I am taking the next step -Consumer Affairs. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE - ESPECIALLY if you are a senior female!!!!! Craig even charged me for the labor to allegedly fix the problem the 2nd time, Craig put the steering wheel back right where it blocked my view of the control panel - it is not an adjustable steering wheel - a safety hazard in itself. BEWARE. I was charged a lot of money and Craig didnt fix the problem - TWICE. Posted reviews were not current. I will keep an eye on this to see how long it is posted onCraigs website. I will repost.

I just asked for a quote to change the oil in by 2001 Jeep and got a quote of $50. The average price for an oil change is SLC is closer to $20. I wont be using this establishment.
