This is by far the best mechanic Ive been to. My daughters car is a 2000 Lexus 300ES that needed the timing belt replaced. She is away in school and we had to find a mechanic in the Salinas area. She first took the car to Trustlane Automotive and was given a very expensive quote. I called several other mechanics and received quotes comparable to Turstlane. A couple of places wouldnt even quote me over the phone, telling me I had to bring the car in for an estimate. I then called Mons Auto Repair and spoke with Mai. She was very friendly and helpful on the phone. She gave me a quote for the complete timing belt kit and I was both shocked and happy to hear how cheaper Mons Auto Repair was compared to Trustlane and the other automotive repair shops I received quotes from. Im talking about more than 1/2 the price. My daughter took the car there and got the repair. The final bill was even $20 cheaper than what was originally quoted. I could not be happier with the service and price. They did an amazing job. A couple of weeks later, her engine light came on. She took it back to Mons Automotive repair for the diagnostic and it turned out to be a simple fix. Mon was honest and did not try to sell us on unnecessary repairs. We were only charged $45 for the diagnostic and he fixed the simple repair (gas cap) without charge. Trustlane previously charged us $150 just for a diagnostic test when we took it there before and they tried to sell us on other unnecessary repairs. Thats typical of repair shops, but not Mons Auto Repair. I am thrilled to find an honest, fair priced and reliable mechanic my daughter can take her car to while she is away in school.

I went there at 1000 and got my car back at 1530. Really great service. Definitely going back there again if something happens with my car. Were able to help out with my water pump. Price was amazing!!!!!

Best deal in town!! Pretty much the best priced, best quality mechanic Ive seen anywhere. And Ive lived in a lot of places. I typically work on my own cars but they are so well priced and reliable that I cant justify not taking it to them.

Best price by far and work done ( timing chain, guides, cover, water pump, oil pump, valve adjustment on a 91 Toyota pickup) top notch. Would recommend.

This is an extremely honest, fast, efficient and reasonable auto repair shop. I just changed my O2 sensor and i received an outstanding service by mr Mon and hs teamwork. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a reasonable and best service.

He has had my moms car for over 2 months and has not worked on it. she wanted to take it somewhere else and he told her since it was already up she could not take it. but has not fixed since. very unhappy. my mom has been stressed and having to deal with no car for 2 months.
