10 years of service never had a problem. Been in the office & made phone calls to let them know I had extra items to be picked up. Always taken care of. Seem like there are many very unlucky folks out there or they just like to complain, must make them feel good. So sad.
I always get prompt responses and clear communication from D &O. My years of experience with them has been great, including a construction dumpster and weekly house service.
They miss pickup (without reason) on multiple occasions, with not so much as an apology. Now that pickup days are cut to only Mon thru Thurs our full trash has to wait an additional 4 days for pickup and then they want to charge for an extra full bin when its their fault to begin with. Being the only waste management option for our area, I guess they feel great service isnt needed.
After reading some of th reviews I dont feel alone in my frustration with this company Because I share a similar story with everyone, save the garbage being left on the street. When you question their confusing and imo inaccurate billing information, you get double talk and indifference because theyre the only game in town. Its unethical, and I believe illegal to have a monopoly on any business. It would be nice to have choices then consumers who have deal with companies that dont care about their communities/costumers will at least pretend because they have to in order to compete.
My trash collector consistently leaves trash behind on my road every week for sometime now when picking up my trash can, if he cant seem to do his job correctly without leaving his vehicle, then he should get out of his truck and do it by hand. Considering I pay for service from this company for years and years I dont feel like I should have to go clean up my road weekly after his pickup. I am 1 weeks worth of trash being left on my road from hauling my own trash to the dump, and have to wait 4 days for a route manager to call my back to try and get the situation taken care of.
They have always been helpful and quick to respond for any issues I may have. Reliable service and reasonable prices.
D&O have always been helpful with my service and setting up bill pay. Only thing I wish is that we could recycle more things in the County!
Very friendly staff. Fast and easy to get things taken care of. 6 years 0 issues.
I will give them one star because I have to to post, but they really should get no stars because they are HORRIBLE! After suffering severe health issues and losing my income, I knew I would not be able to continue service but after being a customer with them for 19 years, I figured we could work something out. A payment plan or maybe they could just hold the bill for a few months until my disability came through. They said no and came to pick up my cans over 56.20. Fine. Then when my disability came through, I called them as promised, and they had turned me over to collections even though I repeatedly had kept in touch with them. I told them I would not pay the collection fee since I had never even talked to anyone about collections and I was never notified that it even went to collections despite my repeated calls.I was told if I paid the $56.20 and $29.95 redeliver fees for the cans they would deliver the cans and restart my service so I paid and they brought the cans.Next I get a call saying that I have to prepay my two months of service which sounded fair but they charged me $87.50 instead of the $59.00 that it was supposed to be. I was in the middle of serious health issues, needed trash service, so I let it go, but this was already $173.65 for a past due bill of $56.20 all paid off in March and with the two months prepaid, that would have paid for April and May. This all happened in two days. Then two weeks later on April 1st, they call and say that they need another $14.75 to balance out my billing cycle. So I pay that too and confirm with them that I will not have have another bill due until June 15th.Next thing I know I get home from the hospital to find a bill saying I am past due as of June 10th for $114 and that my service would be interrupted. I got this Wednesday evening, the night before the fourth. This left me no choice but to file a report online with the Better Business Bureau which I filed that night because I was so mad. I should have been resting. On Thursday (the 4rth of July) they leave me a message saying to call them before 2:00 pm that day. I didnt get it until 4:30pm. The next morning I wake up to a guy taking my cans. Turns out when they turned me over to collections originally, they included the amount for the next two months (since they prebill two months), even though they had already stopped my service and took my cans. This is common practice for them. They also admitted on the phone that I only now owe them $22.40 for June and that is what they took the cans over despite the past due bill they sent me for $114.This place is so confused and jacked on their billing, if you are constantly having issues with them, this is why! I am a disabled single mother facing a terminal illness and I have spent WAY too many hours trying to deal with this ridiculous company while fighting for my life.Do yourself a favor and make other arrangements now and DONT get involved with this company who cares nothing about they community they serve!
9/18/19 Hey I dont know where my bad review went! I left a bad review a while ago regarding overzealous drivers picking through my Recycling and garbage containers. They cant wait to give somebody a fee. They also charge $35 for pick up of one wooden pallet, wow, I told them Ill throw it in the ditch!Stop deleting negative reviews.
Poor customer service. I do not recommend D&Os services.
