I went to Maxx after being mistreated and having my taxes mishandled by California Check Cashing. Maxx turned everything around so quickly and was very responsive when I had questions later. I dont know about you but I cant stand it when I get my taxes done somewhere and cant get a hold of anyone anymore afterwards. The entire staff is friendly and professional. 5 star service!

Great customer service, fast friendly service. I’ve been doing my taxes with them for the past several years and they always go above and beyond to make sure They explain everything and I get my maximum refund. There was even a year when someone stole my identity and it was the most difficult experience but they were so professional and went above and beyond to make sure I knew the steps and process to get my refund even after most tax places close they still stayed in contact and I still got my refund yes a couple moths later but they were there for the whole stressful process thank youSincerely Nicole

The worst text year EVER I will NEVER do business with this place again. They give you the run around. They act like they dont know the answers to your questions. Im just over this place I will never recommend anyone to file here

I went into this office for a quote on how much it was going to cost me to file with them. The lady was really nice and even offered me some champagne. We got to talking about gambling winnings and family members who won big. After she finished my taxes and it was time to electronically sign the form, I asked how much was this going to cost me. She told me that it was going to cost me $230 dollars and if that was going to be ok. I answered that it was a little high but lets go ahead and file it ( going forward because conversating with her made me feel comfortable and trust in maxx refund and I also knew that I had an offset on my taxes so I knew I was still going to receive some sort of refund). Nothing else was explained to me and all I thought I was signing was for the tax prep fee of $230. After multiple times of contacting them about my refund after it has already been deposited into THEIR acct, they told me I wasnt going to receive any thing because of the offset and their $375 dollar fee. ( all of a sudden it jumped from $230 to $375 ) even after $375 I should still receive some sort of refund even after my offset. I dnt care if it was $20, it was my $20. After talking to her I was given the owners number which I contacted a numerous amount of times before even talking to him. Very rudely told me that I wasnt going to get any money refunded to me and just didnt care for how I feel or even tried to resolve this matter so I said i will just resolve it with the IRS and BBB. Accused me of talking bad about his tax preparer, company, threats and even putting words in my mouth . Said I had a bad attitude but didnt even take to consideration why I was so upset. Bottom line is I was told a certain amount at filing then changed it afterwards and still not giving me the remaining balance even if it was only a few bucks, it was my few bucks. Well u guys can have it since it seems like u need it more then me. I will not be referring maxx refunds to anyone and regret every moment spent there. Wish I could give them a zero . The only time I was nice to is before I filed (before they got my money ). Afterwards I was lied too, rude too, taken money from, accused, ignored, and no explanation for anything! Oh yea one more thing is they didnt even ask for my ID until I offered it right before I left. That says it all.

My taxes were done in a short period of time .I didnt make an appointment I just walked in waired a few minutes before Me Watson called me. I was referred by someone to come to this place. The referral told me that she received the Maxx Refund on her taxes. I entered into the store and I was greeted by two women and offered champagne. I sat down with all of my information ready to get started. They told me they could get me the Max refund. I was told an amount of how much I would receive. I received a call the next morning and I was told I would be receiving a lesser amount. I went back to pick up my W2 at the Maxx Refund office. When I went into the office, a man approached me and began questioning me with a loud tone in his voice and with an attitude. He tried to put words in my mouth and assume my intent. His assumption was that I claim to have some kind of entitlement to money. I worked, and I believe I should be entitled to money. The problem was the difference in the amount of money I was told I would be given and then told I would be receiving less than what I was originally told shows me dishonesty within Maxx Refund. I will not continue to receive services from them.

Andre Watson waits every year till I get my w2’s and everyone gets the same amount as me Pretty much and I’m the only one that has a real job. These peop take from anyone filling with them. When I first came to him he said he “anyone can get taxes” and he was right. When I bring him my w2’s in yo him anyone that needs to use them he uses them and when I’m supposed to get 9000 back I get 3000. So he a fraud.so I Not Be filling my 2018 taxes with them
