Terrible serviceI told at least three people I had thin nail and needed my nails to soak instead of just going straight to Buff on my hands and feet ;instead they insisted on buffing firstI told the first nail lady no I need to soak longer and she grabbed her kit and left without saying anything,! Rude and unprofessionalThen the man doing my toes ask if I had gel on my nails which for the fourth time I responded with yes. Water was extremely cold after I repeatedly told themSo he grabs a bucket and starts to take water and empty the bin instead of refill it with fresh water. It was a messHe then proceeds to go straight to buffing my nails when I told him I had thin nailsHe destroyed my toe! It seemed like he had no idea what he was doingAt that point I got up and left .Go elsewhere!!!

Worst Customer service. I gave this place 4 chances. I made an appointment each time. I arrive on time and still have to wait over 30 minute for someone to start working on my nails. No apologies or discounts ever given. Don’t waist your time.

Read reviews to choose a technician, because the ones I have had have been very rough and rude! I have been going for a couple of months now hoping to have a better experience but it has not happened. I even got a bruise last time on my leg from the technician slamming a rock against my leg during my pedicure. I will never return.

I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before visiting since they seem to reflect my experience better than Google reviews.Pros: There was no wait time for me and my cousin to get a manicure, the nail color is nice.Cons: entire visit was rushed, my nail technician combined steps (such as slapping on the scrub and lotion together instead of separate), slapped my hands to get me to relax (It’s hard to relax when they are rushing to trim cuticles and it’s hurting), called me manly when I asked her if she could be a little firm with the massage, and squirted oil on my arms but didn’t rub it in .... just to name a few.I also requested to wax my upper lip. She commented “you are now a woman, no longer a man” after waxing me. I broke out in hives on the way home. The hives are a reaction from my own body, but it hasn’t happened before and I wonder if it’s from their wax which is pink (different than what I’ve ever used).Overall, not a pleasant experience and not a place I would recommend.

Place will take good care of you but sometimes they will have you sitting there for a good minute before getting to you. Free refreshments and very nice people. I decided to try this place because a previous nail salon I went to, the lady broke two of my nails and cut my cuticle too deep that I started to bleed. This place is very clean, relaxing, and professional. I will now be going here everytime I want my nails done. (The very short nail in the picture is from the previous nail salon breaking it. I didnt want to file down all my other nails because I have been actively trying to grow them out. So the thought of cutting them all down hurt me. So I didnt.)

Helen is the best, especially on my eyelashes and always provide great customer service. I am there once a month, pedicures are also the best and everything is affordable ❤️

This nail salon is clean and well decorated. Everyone here was very friendly. I got just a classic manicure, plus a signature pedicure. They have a lot of OPI polishes to choose from. It was all very relaxing, and the massage chair was great. Ill definitely be back!

This place is so tranquil and I almost want to nap. They have great equipment and a delightful atmosphere. Everyone there does a great job and I have my nails done a different way every time, Ive never been disappointed. Highly recommend.

Walked in and was seen very quickly. I usually attend a different salon closer to work but I am VERY glad I found River Nails. I worked with Loann and she did a fantastic job. I was skeptical because I was getting a nail shape I had never tried before. I am 2.5 months out from my wedding so I have best testing out colors and shapes for the past few months. I am happy to say I found my perfect wedding day color and shape!!I really hope Loann is available in October! She did phenomenal

My daughter had a pedicure, She loved it. They took Covid 19 precautions very well. They wore a mask and gloves the whole time, My daughter also has ingrown toenails and they did an awesome job taking them out. I highly recommend this place!

I went to this place about 2 weeks ago and my pedicure still looks good. I am a runner and cheerleader, this pedicure was relaxing and I would definitely recommend this place to something be else.

I got nex gen, picked out a mid ton purple sparkly color and I got a silver sparkly color. When I mentioned it, they implied that I must have showed them the wrong color, that it was my fault. My friend and I both emphasized that I was clear about wanting purple and there wasnt even a silver color like this in the choice of colors. They offered to redo my whole set begrudgingly, but I couldnt wait around for that, so they unwillingly offers 10.00 off my next visit. Seriously, you just couldnt have taken that off my bill this time?! When I asked how they would know who I am when I came back in the second time for my 10.00 off, they just said they would know.Pretty disappointed in how they treat their customers and their way of making it right. They lady who did my nails was nice, but she KNEW the color wasnt right when she was applying it, because she kept insisting it would get more purple colored. She had the opportunity on a slow day to make sure I got what I wanted, and she chose to let that opportunity pass by. I wont be returning, you can keep your 10.00 off, will take my business elsewhere.

They charge way to much and I sat there for 30 mins after they got me in a chair waiting for someone to come start on my nails. Well once the lady showed up to start removing my acrylic from my nails to get an over lay she left part of the old pink acrylic on and just put the new colored acrylic over it. I will never return to this place. My step daughter went in with me to get her eyebrows waxed mind you we had an appointment the ladies who showed up after us as walk ins got called back to get her brows waxed while my step daughter had to wait until 3:45 our appointment was at 3. I dont recommend this place at all.

The lady who did my toes did a good good but was very rough with tool used i constantly kept saying ouch and eventually started crying because of the pain:/

Such a classy clean jewel of Rowlett. Sometimes you might have a wait but hands down the best eyelashes, wax and nails/toes around town. If your going to get your nails down ask for Amy! She is detail oriented and very funny. Never a dry moment here. The Manager walks around and checks at the nails and delivers waters and is very attentive. Just by far sticks out more than any other salon. I dislike sharing them but they deserve a compliment and it is well deserved!

Why have an appointments if you all cant keep them.

Got my nails done once again by them, And once again they do an EXCELLENT job. I got the short square powder acrylic, with a pedicure (just painted) .... and the end results was more than I expected it.. There where a lot of laughs, just an enjoyable place in general. I 100% recommended this place

After coming here every two weeks for the past few months I won’t be returning. I made an appt for 3pm, arrived at 2:55 only to be told there was a 20 minute wait! Having to wait defeats the purpose of making an appt in the first place.I will say that I had never had any issues in the past, my nails were always beautiful. I booked my appt for a certain time because I had other things to do.I left and went to another nail shop and was in and out in a hour. I don’t give my money to places that don’t respect my time. They are too many nail salons in Rowlett to choose from!!

I brought my special needs (adult) child to this place for the very first time for a basic manicure. They were patient and sanitary. We did not have an appointment, but they took us right away.UPDATE: My daughter and I have returned for a second visit. This time for a pedicure, again for my daughter.Ann was wonderful with providing my daughter an Essential Pedicure.(In the past at other nail salons people tend to give my daughter a little less of a “normal service” as she is a disabled 22year old with a physical disability and the mental capacity of a young child. I believe they think she doesn’t know the difference, but she does.)I was very pleased to see Ann treat my daughter as she would anyone else, and provide her with a full pedicure service. She even asked her if she would like a flower design on her toe, So cute!We will return.

Ive been going to River Nails for over 5 years now, and even after all this time and a major change in management, it still has the friendliest staff and the best prices! Everyone on their staff is really good at their jobs, but Jennifer is my favorite nail person. She is very sweet, does a great job making my nails gorgeous, and speaks and understands English as well as I do. In my opinion, River Nails is the best ski nail place in the Dallas area!

Heard wonderful things about this salon. Decided to pay a visit and get a manicure and pedicure. Had my manicure done by Tammy. It was going well for a few minutes until cut my cuticles when drilling the nails. On at least four fingers. Tammy applied some liquid that just brought on a stinging sensation. They dont seem to have any topcoat like other nail salons Ive been to that actually dry quickly. So it would get smudged easily and had me dry it under a light after repainting it. Tammy made it clear through attitude did not want to redo my nails. As if heat ever helps to dry wet nails. The color was gorgeous so the one star can count towards that. Otherwise they can do better on not rushing on a customer so skin wont be drilled. Good luck not feeling rushed here when its busy.

This is my 2nd time here getting the peppermint pedicure for $30. The atmosphere is great. They offer drinks and snacks. Saw that river nails was open on the holiday today and my mother in law HAD TO GO! This is the MOST relaxed I have ever been during a pedicure. I highly recommend this nail salon. Let me start off saying the place is beautiful, clean and they was very nice.. The lady who did my toes she did a great job/ excellent job... Ok the lady who did my nails.. I got a French tip acrylic. Don’t get me wrong they was beautiful she did a great job. But she seem like she didn’t want to be there (Gave me bad vibes) and she kept hurting me with the nail acrylic drill machine... I said ouch so many times and she kept doing the same thing... but overall they both came out cute..

Lady burned me and it’s been two days and I’ve had two nails come off painfully I tried using this place again after a few years and won’t return.

I go there because everyone is so friendly and seems happy to see you. They do a great job on my nails.

My favorite place to get my nails done, best pedicures around. Their signiture pedicure is perfect for monthly upkeep and their ultimate pedicure is great for treating yourself every once in a while. Staff always asks how you are and is very attentive. They are also very sanitary and really want to make sure youre nails stay perfect while they dry. Also, they have drinks and cookies.

This place is absolutely wonderful. A little bit more than what I was used to paying, but the dedication and attention to detail that was spent on my nails and toes was just unreal. New ownership... not the same. I got a pedicure with Jenny. She was friendly and did a decent job. My friends pedicure was done by Linda. She did an awful job. Smeared up. The sad part is her fixing it and still came out horrible. She didnt do the things listed for the selected pedicure. So sad. I loved this place.

I tried this salon based on the high reviews here. Normally, I try to withhold the bad reviews, because I feel that more people bother to post a complaint than an atta-boy. However...the technician drew blood three times during my visit. One spot from the cheese grater used on some thin skin over bone (no callous!) is still scarred after a few months. And the offending employee, stomped out of the room when she discovered that I left here zero tip on the credit card reciept. I will not be returning.

Sandy and Amy will make you melt, I have been going here for over 10 years, moved out of the area, and still drive back. Thats how good the services are. Pedicures and waxing, Id never see anyone else. River Spa is clean, relaxing, and beautiful. There is something for everyone, including kids pedicure chairs. Kick back, have a cocktail or cookie, and let the River Spa team make you feel pampered and refreshed.

We have been gone to this place several times and it was always good until today. I took my 11 year old daughter for an mani-pedi and they said she was so big they would have to charge her an adult price. She is 11 and won’t be able to do 90% of the treatments they do for adults. We left and went to Oscars where they didn’t discriminate.

The facility is clean and beautiful. The service I received was okay. I went in to get the classic manicure, which seemed reasonably priced to me. I had Aaron the first time. I didnt get my nails reshaped or buffed, which was supposed to be included. The nail polish was very lumpy and uneven near the tips and edges. Another employee told me that the polish was like that because thats how it was supposed to be. The polish smeared because it wasnt dry all the way. I had to get them redone by Tammy. She reshaped and buffed my nails and I decided I just wanted the nail polish I previously had removed and put a clear coat on. The gold polish that I had wasnt removed all the way, some was still left on the edges. I wasnt offered anything to drink while there. I usually never get my nails done and I had hoped this experience would have been better than it was. I will not be going back to this location. However, I do appreciate them redoing my nails.

I get dip, and I really like Snow. But let me tell you, she did ny eyebrows, and omg they looked so good. My eyebrows are messed up from me plucking them terribly as a teenager, but she waxed and trimmed them and they looked amazing. She does great nails also as I mentioned. This salon is very pretty and clean. They have a ton of colors as well.
