Everyone was very nice. From the moment I walked in, the gentleman up front was very welcoming. The nurse, Tara, answered all my questions. Dr. H was very informative during our visit. Pricing is reasonable. Staff is honest in their medical recommendations. Will definitely be bringing all my exotics back here!

After my Veterinarian passed away. I was left looking for a new Veterinarian. My rottweiler started peeing in the house and drinking excess amounts of water. So I decided to take him to Welleby Veterinary Hospital. Once I took him to his visit. The doctor decided to do a urine culture. After three days I got a call from the doctors assistant. And was told that his urine culture results came back negative. Then his assistant continue to tell me that the doctor recommended. To give my dog anesthesia for they can get blood and do a radiography exam. That would cost me a little over $800 dollars. I decided to get a second opinion. I took my rottweiler to another veterinarian. And showed the doctor a copy of my dogs urine culture results. From Welleby Veterinary Hospital. Once the doctor saw the results. She told me my dog was Diabetic. Looking at the results the doctor saw that my dogs glucose levels were elevated. And put him on insulin immediately. So after the experience I had with Welleby veterinary hospital. I would not recommend anyone to take there animals here. You can not trust what they are telling you. Please do your research before taking your fur babies here. My dog is doing well now. I give him insulin twice a day. Im very fortunate that I found a great Veterinarian. That I can trust with the treatment that they are giving my rottweiler.

I’ve been taking my kitten here and I’ve had exceptional care each visit. The staff are SO friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The vets are so kind and take their time speaking with patients. You can tell that they all love and are passionate about the work they do. Would recommend to anyone looking for consistently great care for their pets!

Our hamster had a sore on its back and we brought him to the Welleby Vet. They have a very clean facility, friendly staff, and the vet was very helpful in diagnosing our hamster and recommending treatment. They mixed all of the medications for us on-site and the price for the appointment and medications were fair. The following day, they even called to check up on the hamster. I highly recommend this Vet and the friendly staff there.

DR H- DIAGNOSED MY DOG INCORRECT, MADE ME SPEND MONEY ON PRESCRIPTION TO FIND OUT 2 DAYS LATER THAT I HAD TO BUY NEW MEDICATION. I ASKED OFFICE MANAGER TO TALK TO VET BECAUSE I HAD BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS AND SPENT THOUSANDS OF $$$$ BESIDES THE FACT MY BABY GOES FOR A MONTHLY INJECTION AND THEY WERE UNWILLING TO COOPERATE. I ASKED FOR ALL MY RECORDS WHICH I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED, I TOLD THEM THEY LOST A CUSTOMER, THEY DIDNT CARE . I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS HAPPENED TWICE AND GAVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET TO ANYONE THAT LOVES THEIR FURBABY AND YOU ARE AT RISK OF WASTING YOUR HARD EARNED $$$$

I am a Veterinary Nurse at a local ER so my standards are quite high. I know nothing about dermatological issues working ER so I went to Weleby for help. Within 24 hours his skin looks amazing and he stopping tearing himself apart scratching! I will be going back 100% the staff was amazing and so was the Doctor! My favorite was the nurse with the blue hair I wish I got/remembered her name when I was there but she was the best!!!

Dr Zimandy is the best vet in South Florida.We bring our puppy Milo for his vaccines to Dr Zimandy all the time and she is always very nice and professional. She always very patient with us and answering all of our questions fully.She is also in a very good mood all the time 😊The whole staff is very nice and they really care about the animals. I 100% recommend this place if you have a ferret. I bought 2 ferrets from work that were sick, one more so then the other, and the staff was able to schedule me an appointment the next day after I bought them. Staff and vets were beyond friendly and I will definitely be bring my other 3 ferrets here.

I chose to bring my ball python here for his first vet visit because there was a lot of good reviews and it was nearby. I have no complaints about their staff. They seemed kind and professional. However, I do have one complaint about the amount of money I spent there. My ball python was only there for a full body exam and a fecal testing. It took them at most probably 15 minutes to come in and out with my reptile. I was charged a little over $100. I have no idea why I was charged so much. If my snake had a huge injury or illness that needed to be treated, I would understand. But he was perfectly healthy and I was told that nothing was wrong with him. I would spend thousands of dollars for my ball python if he had something wrong with him that needed to be fixed, but $100 seems like a bit too much.EDIT: They have contacted me and explained why it cost as much as it did. Regardless of price its a really nice place and I recommend you go there. I will definitely bring my pet there again but Ill have to ask how much it would cost before anything.

As far is Im concerned the best veterinary hospital you could possibly ever find take your pet to. The staff and doctor Hanna Hausammann were amazing they save my dogs life on my daughters 18th birthday what an amazing birthday present.

I just want to say this place was a God sent! I was going to another Exotic Vet for the past 2 years and they have changed their tune. Unfortunately, they have become more money hungry now, and with a lack of interest to help us out with one of our pets. Welleby was willing to squeeze us in their booked day when we needed to bring in our snake. They went above and beyond! The girls at the front desk were very sweet and kind! I highly recommend Welleby!

This was the worst experience ever. They have hidden fees. I bought my dog in for a procedure they informed me that it will cost 464 total. I paid 204 the first visit. The day of the procedure they went and told me that I have to pay them 474.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. now I’m afraid that they did something to my dog.

Amazing, friendly service!! I spent all day calling all over to find a vet to see my turkey that had a sinus infection, which can be deadly untreated. after a short couple questions a brief hold they found they had time for us immediately! Although dealing with a sick pet is heart wrenching, their friendly, caring service was a pleasure!

I will forever be going here. I went for a neutering for my male rabbit Dove. They reassured me about everything and the sweetest staff you could ever imagine. They did an exam before confirming he was ready and let me know the whole entire process. I trust her with my baby and I don’t see how nobody else could. The Doctor (and staff) was the sweetest and really puts in the time and effort to make sure you know she cares just as much as you do about your baby. I’ve never been here before and feel like definitely found the best. They took me in the same week for the exam and the following week for the neutering. They called right when the surgery was done and gave me the great news that my baby made it and did amazing. I can’t thank them enough. My bunny is my life and they took such amazing care for him and he looks like nothing even happened to him! He’s still his happy self. . Unfortunately this happened during corana virus but they made the experience just as amazing as they could. The prices are very reasonable for how much care and love they put into your pet. They all continued to tell me how cute he was and nothing makes me happier than that. They call and make sure everything is good even after. They answer every single question as clearly as possible and I will never take my bunny or any of my other animals anywhere else.

I got my first puppy, Lupe and was recommended by a customer at my work to this vet office. On our first visit we were seen within minutes of arriving and Ive never had to wait in all of my visits. We see Dr. Hausamann and she is great! Lupe got all of her puppy shots at this office and needless to say we are clients for life. The front desk is great. Erica always greats us with a smile and is so warm and welcoming. I didnt think I would find Lupes forever vet on the first try but I am so glad that I did. My dog is not just my pet, she is my family and you can tell everyone there feels the same way. :) If I could give them more stars I would.

I had taken my pet rat, snake and bearded dragon here. My overall experience has been good but I do think the quality of care for my reptiles was lacking. I believe the vet is a good person, knows mostly of what she is doing, and there is room for improvement if she will allow it. The tech and front desk are nice and friendly.Both my snake and beardie were seen for growths on their bodies that appeared around the same time. Both were either misdiagnosed or incomplete diagnosis, with no instructions as to what the next step would be after bloodwork and xray came back normal for my beardie and nothing else recommended or suggested besides a round of antibiotics for my snake. I received more than 1 follow up phone call from the front desk or the tech, in both times in which I advised the bumps on my beardie grew in size or more in numbers, and that my snake did not get better.To be fair, and the reason why I would still recommend them for other pets, is because the vet is kind hearted. I have talked to other exotic vets in the past who knew next to nothing about reptiles. She is knowledgeable, but I think due to the lack of medical literature and treatment options in reptile medicine, and the lack of time to do more that is necessary to make the proper diagnosis, the quality of care was affected. In addition, I think she is overwhelmed by her schedule, including emergencies, that she may have not been able to help me like she would have if more time was available. Another reason why I think this is because I sought a 2nd opinion and they tried to get records from your clinic numerous times to no avail, pending your review and approval of records that should have dictated or completed since the visits were over 4-5 months ago. At least send over the blood test results, but we (I also called inquiring same) were told nothing can be send because the vet must review them first. I never had this problem before, but please see this less of a criticism but more of a red flag that there is a time management problem where mistakes or things that should have done, couldnt be done on time. I dont know the vet personally, I dont know if she is trying to do too much, so I just hope this is taken into consideration, even if what I say is not true.I was able to get the proper diagnosis for my snake and bearded dragon on the same visit from the other clinic. Both have cancer. Unfortunately my beardie was at the stage where he was suffering, so I had to put him to sleep. My snake is on limited time but still doing good.Lastly, please dont make any recommendations to deworm a snake or lizard unless the fecal is positive (ie wild caught) or other symptoms strongly suggest parasites. Most of these popular reptiles in the pet trade are captive bred. Most snakes like mine eat frozen thawed prey and lizards that eat live feeders dont need as much deworming as a dog or cat. Their guts are much more sensitive, the parasitic load is usually kept in control by their own bodies if healthy, so checking for the root cause is more important than addressing the symptom. Im bringing this up because the vet recommended deworming my snake and beardie in our last visit, which I declined because no fecal was done and there was no indication of a parasite overload (Now we know the growths are cancerous tumors).Just my 2 cents.

I am very picky when it comes to my dog’s care. I used to travel 40 miles to a vet I liked but he became so busy we couldn’t always get in to see him. I’ve been to many vets in the area and always felt like they were there for the sole purpose of making money with little emphasis on vet care. Then I found Welleby Veterinary Clinic. One mile from the house, great veterinary care, knowledgeable, compassionate people from the front desk to the Veterinarians and everyone in between. I could not be happier that I found them practically in my backyard. Highly recommended!

Having a new puppy during these times is a bit scary. We called at minimum 8 different places in the last 3 days to try to figure out where to take our baby. We decided on Welleby. It started with my conversation with Mecca. She was knowledgeable of the practice and what they had to offer, kind, and did not rush me off the phone. She answered all my questions. Yesterday was our appointment day...we were a bit nervous because we werent able to go inside with Ruby Mae then Mighty (Vet Tech) came and got her.Our worries disappeared. Ruby Mae was seen by Dr. Zimandy, we waiting in the car (due to this pandemic). Once the examine was complete we received a call from the doctor. She answered all our questions (even the crazy one)! She was patient, full of knowledge, and very reassuring. We are looking forward to long relationship with everyone at Welleby!

I woke up to my cat severely injured & my regular vet was closed that day. They got me in right away. Every staff member was so caring, professional and kind. I was in a huge rush due to having to be at a court hearing and they offered to board my cat for the day and treat him for no additional charges, which for a vet (especially one who does not know me) is above and beyond. My only disappointment was my cat was misdiagnosed in regards to his injuries. I understand it may be hard to indicate and they did all they could to make him more comfortable during my visit, which Is what matters most! I would definitely bring my pets here again if needed.

This veterinary hospital is really great. Super clean and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Sadly I had to put my beloved cat down on my visit but I can truly say Im happy I chose this hospital to bring my cat. The staff was very caring about the situation and the doctor was sure to let me know my cat would go peacefully. they took care of the situation amazing. They also sent a sympathy card and its just all very heart warming. Any pet owner who loves their animals as much as me would be absolutely comfortable bringing their fur babes here!

I love this vet. I had to take my leopard geckos in because they were sick.(sadly one had to be put down that day) they were so caring and professional. Today they sent a custom sympathy card signed by all the staff members. In tears right now. I want to thank all the staff members for everything they did to help my geckos.

I called yesterday in a panic and Erica told me to come right in and they were amazing with my 11 year old dog who hasnt been to the vet in a few years due to a bad experience. Wellaby is by far one of the best experiences my Dogs and myself have had. Having no luck with other veterinarians in the past, I was BLOWN AWAY when I came to Welleby.Firstly the receptionist, Erica, already had me sold with her warm and engaging personality. She kept the office clean and meticulous and it was entirely evident that she ran a tight ship.As if that wasnt great enough, the vet tech was kind and gentle with my terrified dog and so sharp and very reassuring that we were in good hands. Then our vet came, and she is just everything anyone can look for in a medical professional. She is brilliant and thorough and all around incredibly knowledgeable in regards to all aspects of pet care and wellness.They provided excellent and timely service, made sure I understood what was wrong with my pup and ensured we were all taken care of and addressed all of my concerns.Im so happy and lucky to have stumbled upon this veterinarian office because I know my dog will be getting his best treatment here - & the prices for their service are more than reasonable.

We just returned from the Dr. Sands office. They are, by far, the most compassionate Vet office I have ever been to. Chris and I are amazed by the great group of people working with Dr. Sands. We received some bad news about 2 1/2 weeks ago and we are doing everything we can to prolong Jerseys life, shes 17 yrs old by the way. Everyone was on board and supportive of our decision to do what we can. She is still active, not hiding from us and still eats --- ALL GOOD SIGNS. So, until that time comes we are working with this amazing office to make her remaining time as comfortable as possible. We appreciate it so much. Thanks to Dr. Sands and his amazing staff. The inside is kept immaculate.Update 3 years later - this team of angels saved my neonatal eight-day-old kitten. I owe his life to their knowledge and care for him when he was limp in my hands. So long as I live in South FL, I refuse to take my pets ANYWHERE else. My mother, who lives in Miami, even drives up for Welleby. Weve remained with Dr. Zimandy all these years, and I have no words for her care and expertise. If I could give them an unlimited number of stars I would. Thank you guys for all you do!!!

This office has wonderful and caring veterinarians! They treat our cat Lyle like he is their own ... with the utmost of care and love! They realize when your babies are sick, you, as loving and concerned parents are emotional and apprehensive. They are completely sympathetic and take whatever time is required to educate you on your pets condition, discuss all options available, and answer any questions you have. We couldnt be happier with this veterinary office and would highly recommend them!!!

Dr Zimandy is a compassionate and caring vet. I like this practice because its small and each person knows my pets well. Thats important to me. My little cat Jack has been very sick and transferred to hospital care. Dr Z checks daily as to his condition.

Dr. Andrea zimandy and all the nurses and staff are incredibly friendly and caring with our pets. They took wonderful care of our kitties as they got older and passed away. I have been going to Welleby Veterinary Hospital for 15 years, and was always met with courtesy and compassion from the staff there, Bernice, Jeff, Ashley,and Joanie are outstanding, compassionate individuals! They will go out of their way for the pet parent and patient! I just met the newest veterinarian there, Dr. Zimandy, and was immediately impressed with her kindness, professionalism, and the way she communicated with me regarding the issues I was encountering with my elderly cat. I was a little concerned when Dr. Willie left, however, I am no more! I havent met Dr. Sands yet, but I am sure he is just as wonderful as the rest of the staff at Welleby Veterinary Hospital.

They have been so good with my dogs and always take the time to answer my long list of questions. This is the first vet that is seems my pets actually get excited to go see. They also took such good care of my cat when he needed dental surgery done. He is back to being pudgey and happy. You cant find a better group to take care of your pets health.

Dr. Sands is back and so is the best staff around! I had to take one of my dogs for her yearly vaccinations and Dr. Sands wound up saving me a bunch of money had I gone elsewhere. I had recently been taking my dogs elsewhere because of some changes that were being made and just recently I heard that Dr. Sands recently took it back. For those that dont know, he was the original owner many years ago. Its great to have him back along with the rest of the staff. You wont find a more caring veterinary staff anywhere. If youre looking for a great vet and a place to board your pets, look no further than Welleby Veterinary Hospital.

I came here for a 3rd opinion on a very delicate surgery for my snake and Im so happy I did. Dr Zimandy and staff are so very kind and gentle. They dont rush you and Dr Zimandy remains an exotic vet for a very good reason, not only is she very knowledgeable but very caring and sympathetic. Im glad I followed my gutt!

My cat had severely bad breath and tooth pain. I took him to Welleby animal hospital and Dr. Hausammann couldn’t have been better. After looking in my kitty’s mouth it was clear that he had a terrible case of gingivitis. We were worried that his tooth cleaning and extraction would be so extensive that it would have to be done in two separate operations to mitigate time under anesthesia. The care with which they treated my kitty with was refreshing. They genuinely wanted what was best and safest for my pet. Dr. Hausammann planned his two procedures and was able to make the whole process as easy as possible. I’m happy to say my 13 year old kitty is happy and healthy and no longer has mouth pain! Very knowledgeable and caring to patients. I would highly recommend Welleby animal hospital and Dr. Hausammann.

This was our first visit. My son brought his 4 month old kitten in and I met him there after work. She was having tummy issues: not eating, diarrhea, and threw up a few times over a 48 hour period. Worrisome. The doctor came back with a $450 estimate before taking her vitals. This included a $220 x-ray to check for an obstruction. I spoke with the doctor and technician and explained that I could not afford that. I had to ask the doctor to do a fecal to eliminate works or parasites. Right away I have a problem with this. Why would a doctor start with the most extreme measures instead of starting with the process of elimination? (Its like having a computer problem and immediatley replacing the hard drive when you should try rebooting first.) Mind you, my kittens temperature and weight were perfect. So, the doctor came back with another estimate. This one included the fecal that I had to request. It also included Cerenia, Penicillin, B-12, and a fluid injection. According to the doctor, the Cerenia works one of two ways: if theres no blockage itll sooth her tummy, if there is a blockage, she will throw up. I very clearly said...yes, lets try that to rule a possible blockage out. The doctor said that if the kitten was still not feeling well, that we could bring her in the next morning. At this point Im thinking that were all good, so I left my son there with my card to wrap up the visit. When he got home, he asked if I authorized $220!? No, I absolutely did not. I did not authorize $26.68 for a Penicillin injection for a cat with perfect vitals. No, I did not authorize $27.25 for a B-12 injection for a kitten with energy to spare. And no, I did not authorize $35 for a fluid injection for a kitten thats not dehydrated. So, I called and left a message and called again first thing in the morning. I was told that the doctor and technician said that I agreed to the estimate. False! First of all, the technician was not even in the room. Second of all, I was very clear as to what treatment I agreed to. Third, my signature is nowhere on any piece of paper in that office. In fact, its not even on my credit card receipt. Now Ive had to dispute the portion of the charge that I did not agree to ($88.93). Im not a jerk. I have no problem paying for services that I agreed to. Im not out to get anything for free. Im also not okay with being steamrolled. Legally, I could dispute the entire charge, as again, I signed NOTHING.Im really sad about my experience at this veterinary hospital. I dont appreciate feeling like Im being up-sold for unnecessary services I felt as though I was dealing with a used car salesman.Our two kittens are 4 months old. Cats tend to live 20+ years. I will NEVER set foot in that office again. Youve lost 20 years of future office visits over $88.93. Good job and thank you so much for trying to stick it to me.

The loving staff skillfully and caringly handle my daughters ill gerbil, Carl. Even a gerbil received the best medical care possible. Carl is on the mend; he is taking his medication like a champ!

My cat got sick and they fit me in on the same day. Dr. Zimandy explained everything to me to make sure we all knew what was tested and what she could rule out. Barbra and Wilmayrie were very gentle and patient, listened kindly - its rare. However, I struggled with Erica numerous times, to get my cats bloodwork faxed to his regular vet after his fever persisted - after waiting for over three hours, our vet had to call them directly and they faxed it right after that. Honestly, this would have been a perfect review if she hadnt continued pushing us off like that. Thank you to everyone else.

The Dr. Sands and his staff showed compassion when we brought in our Calico, Jersey Girl. We had such a wonderful experience. Going to the Vet is never easy and usually not a great experience. A special thanks to Ashley who was very helpful when we called the office for the first time and made sure we were squeezed in on a Saturday when the doctor was already booked. Went there two weeks ago everyone was nice. Two days later the Doctor called with my cats test results really didnt explain much to me but only kept on repeating how much it more it would cost to treat him. I was very disappointed in her lack of professionalism. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
