Everytime I visit here to do my taxes Im greeted the same way, its professional and homey feeling. Ive had the same person do my taxes every year that Ive gone here and they are fast and very knowledgeable on almost everything related to taxes. I hope to see them in the future again, stay cool h&r block.

The gentlemen who helped me out was very knowledgeable, so this wont be a review of their service. The problem here are the OUTRAGEOUS prices. I was charged $300 for an extremely easy return, a W-2, 401K contribution, and basic mortgage interest tax forms. I will not be returning to any H&R block anytime soon due to these prices. Many other buisnesses charge $100 tops for way more work!

DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE OFFICES! ESPECIALLY THE ONE ON E. STATE STREET IN ROCKFORD IL!!!! Over the years, these places have gotten worse and they just hire ANYONE to file taxes. One lady at the E. State location was so clueless on absolutely everything that she literally didnt know how to work her email. As if she never dealt with a single email before being hired at H&R block. Her co-worker working along her side was just as clueless. She didnt even know how to work a damn printer!!! So the customer was sent away to print out his own paperwork to then come back and give to her. Seriously, save your money and file online or some other tax company because H&Block will eat your money and then some. I pray for her future clients that she was constantly mentioning addressing that her current client, sitting in front of her, was taking up too much of her time. I never wish anyone to be fired... but these two at the E state location NEEDS TO BE FIRED! I think even a fast food joint would be too much to handle for these people. Go ONLINE and file taxes for basically nothing at H&R block. So easy, simple and you can do it naked if you like. The refund advance is just to TRICK for people to come in and waste their time and money BECAUSE so many people are filing their taxes online BECAUSE IT IS THAT EASY!!! H&R block employees didnt even know anything about it.

I have had some bad times the past few years. I thought I was gonna owe a lot of money. I was able to drop my w-2s off (I didnt know that was possible). When I came back the next day, I had a small return after the prep fee. Perfectly fine with me.

Consistent dependability and trustworthy

Melissa has the worst customer service and attitude. Before I even started my refund it seemed liked an interrogation. Stated, she won’t waste her time starting my tax refund if I don’t decide to file with H&R Block. So I called coporate to see if I was in the wrong, they stated she isn’t supposed to do that and they filed a complaint for me. I have filed with H&R the last 4 years and will never waste my time with the State street location again.

Mellisa did a great job.helping us resolve an issue. Upon our initial experince we were a little let down, however after some time Im pleased to say we will return again. Thank you for taking time to help us further. We appreciate it.
