I believe I was discriminated, I am well qualified for the house I was seeking out, I make 3x the house amount & I called to take a tour, gave them my information but I was denied a tour because the lady said that I do not qualify... But Looking at the reviews, Im glad I didnt get to the application process. God Bless the management.

Rented from this company for five years. Didnt maintain property. Siding and roof were rotting and caused mold on our walls...but wouldnt let us paint. Then took out $400 from our deposit for paint caused by candle smoke. Neighbors downstairs had mold damage in their laundry room ceiling...it was fixed by ripping out the ceiling and leaving a huge hole. They kept raising the rent too. Went up $125 in 2 years.

My experience with Superior Rental Properties has just been awful. I wouldnt recommend anyone renting from Superior. My shed was destroyed back in late spring because of hail damage. Is now September and this is what my shed looks like. Tom Howard has tried to force me to do the job. Its now October 10 2017. And my shed still not up. But Tom Howard wants me to pay more now for rent because of me having dogs. And wanted me to put the lawnmower that belongs to the property in my garage instead of leaving it outside. But I only have a one car garage. And Im not parking outside.

This company is a disgrace to any rental company in the Rockford region. The people who actually owns this building should be ashamed to work with Mila and Tom Howard. Our heat has been out over 12hrs since 6pm. I left two voicemails no maintenance emergency line. No sympathy or compassion for cold residents. Do not recommend renting from this company. I could be homeless and be cold hell. Mind you I’m disabled. Rent due on the first if not eviction notice after day 5. Tom Howard is not a very friendly person. Which he has told me himself and why he had employed Trisha. Mila is no better than him. God takes care of his children and these people will reap what the sew.

Tom Howard and superior rental team is a joke! By far the worst rental company I EVER dealt with. Rented a home from Tom it had a leak problem. It was leaking In the basement leak in the kitchen leak in the bathroom had an out rages water bill Tom said that we were responsible for the payment after numerous a time the maintenance guy said it was fixed. Long story short I paid it. I did everything that I was supposed to do as a tenant by paying the rent on time all the bills on time no complaints from the neighbors about me as a tenant when it was time to move the house was clean did a walk-through with Trisha She said everything looked perfect! Get a letter from superior team saying that we will not receive our deposit back. He is a scam artist and will find anyway possible to not pay you your deposit. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!!’

Tom Howard and Superior rentals have ruined more lives then any Rental Company Ive ever experienced. Dont expect Tom or his Co workers to follow through with what you and your family need. Terrible company backed by terrible work.

Scheduled a showing for a few days in advance. Was told to call 30 minutes prior. Made arrangements with work to use vacation time to make it there by 9:30. Attempted to call multiple times without answer before leaving, but still thought I should show. There was another interested party waiting to view apartment and they had received no answer from company. Superior finally called at 10:00 a.m. telling me it was rented and they just found out. Thank you for wasted my time and vacation hours!

This company is a rip off. My rent is 675 a month which is fine. They don’t give you a grace period. If your rent is not paid by the 1st of every month they’ll charge you a 50.00 late fee. And then they’ll put a 5 day notice on your door if it’s after the 1st and that’s another 20.00 fee. They should not put a 5 day notice on your door on the 2nd. This is a money hungry greedy rental property and I will not be renewing my lease once it is up. And also they’ll try to charge you if you need Matienence to come out as well.

Tom Howard and his team at Superior have been AMAZING! I have been renting from them for over 5 years. They property is well maintained and landscaped. If anything needs to be repaired, Tom makes sure its taken care of by professionals quickly, often in the same day. Once, I had an issue with a neighbor in the building nextdoor and Tom went above and beyond to resolve the issue even though he did not manage the property where the neighbor lived. I recommend Superior to everyone I know!

Was rude untill he found out our yearly income. Than he was cooperative, and nice. Attempted to lie to me about how much they received monthly on a property after I had spoken with the tenants. Last thing I want is to have to deal with a dishonest person when it comes to a potential home.

If I could zero stars, I would. My whole experience with Superior has been horrible. From the very beginning before I even signed my lease, I informed the so called Property Manager Tom Howard, that I did have COPD, a chronic lung disease. The apartment complex only has 4 units, which was suppose to be Smoke-Free which was a big factor considering that I am on oxygen. After moving in, the smoke smell persisted, I kept calling to complain. The property manager claims they bought a air filter for the unit downstairs because she was grandfathered in before the Apartment complex was smoke-free. I complained numerous times that the tenant downstairs was not using her air purifier. The property manager in response said it was not his job to make sure the tenant downstairs ran her machine daily, and was not a baby sitter. The smoke was so bad it caused my health to decline. Which in return caused me to move out sooner than expected.

Quality properties. Tom was very nice and made sure that as tenants, we were taken care of. He really takes pride in the properties he manages! I would highly recommend using this company to rent from or hire to manage your property.

I rented from Superior Rental Management Company for 1 year. I had never had any prior experience with a management company ever before. Upon prior to moving in it was pleasant but as soon as my mother and I moved in. Tom, the Manager tone changed. He has a very unfriendly, condescending demeanor. He doesnt do well with a tenant who will not tolerate being talked down to and will stand up for their right as a tenant. I believe he treats certain people differently. Him and I had several unpleasant encounters throughout the year. I am very organized and communicate as much as I can. He is not a people person at all. Even the maintenance guy shared that with me. Which he probably shouldnt have but he did. Upon leaving once our 1 year lease was up. We made sure the home was clean. My mother did the walk thru and he even said it was very clean. Like he was surprised! We were expecting most of our deposit back which was $850. We received $73.75! He sent an itemized statement in the mail. He charged us for painting/repairs/ and a broken fence gate. For starters, he never stated what repairs, secondly, the repairs that we requested that needed to be fixed throughout the year we had maintenance come out, and lastly the only time we used the gate was when garbage needed to be taken out! We NEVER broke a fence gate. The house is an older house so things were falling apart. The electricity seemed to be rigged up. Again, something this maintenance guy shared with us. They fixed things as cheap as possible just to barely make this place livable. They over charge on rent and use cheap materials to fix things. He charged us $450 for a broken fence gate/repairs which was taken out of the deposit. The other were for paint/supplies/carpet cleaning and cleaning! Not only did they charge us for repairs that we didnt do but overcharged at that! You cant tell me it took $776.25 to do all that. When we moved in we had to disinfect the entire house because it was never cleaned in the 1st place. In my opinion i believe Tom and his people are shady. He is the manager for the landlord so who knows what he is reporting back to him/her. In my opinion I think what they do is take peoples deposit and say they are going to fix the items that are listed. Never do. Allow other people to move in and continue to do the same. A repeated cycle. Thats how they make money and get over on people. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone! You never win when you play dirty!! Thank God my Husband and I bought a home. We are now proud home owners :)

The company should be called Inferior Service and Ok properties. Very disappointed in the service provided by this company. As another reviewer said, not very nice people work here. that sums it up, would not recommend.It took me 2.5 months and three visits from a repairman to get a simple part replaced.also, roaches and lots of stink bugs
