Beautiful condos with spacious living
I lived here for a couple of years. I would not recommend living here due to the management of the building. My wife and I were forced out of the building over an arbitrary dispute with the building manager over use of the community garden.Go search the Rock River Times and Rockford Register Star archives to see the political history of this building... Basically, the redevelopment was funded by a bunch of city money but the market couldnt support the prices they were asking for selling the units. Thus, most of these have remained unsold, and the city wiped away the bad debt of the development (the developer was the former Mayors family business), and the building is now owned by a shell corporation of Rockford Bank and Trust. The units themselves have a lot of nice qualities architecturally, but there were some missed details that lead to comfort and indoor environmental quality issues. Very dry and drafty in the winter... poor air conditioning distribution in the summer. Unsealed walls between units that easily transmit sounds and smellsOnce again, just remember, they look fancy, and they are definitely nice architecturally without a doubt, but understand that the development went belly up and some of the finishing touches may not have been executed that well. Assuming the current management structure is still in place, good luck... multiple tenants were ran out of the building by an overzealous and controlling manager, and the ownership once again is a bank who really couldnt care less about tenants.
I went to school there when I was a child so I remember what it looked like. It looks nice from the pictures I saw, but I would love a tour and I also would like to get the average price. I dont know what the big deal with the parking is, there is a huge big lot in the back. To protect my car, I would put it in the lot! Please push the like button.
The units are quirky. And fun. Unusually shaped rooms, some with very tall ceilings would make for some interesting and very designer Living Spaces
The residents are rude and entitled. The building has its own gated parking lot and they insist on parking in front people’s homes. Glad all the working people here have to walk forever to get to their own house.
This is a gorgeous, profesional gated community. Residents are very friendly and less than a minute to downtown - Perfect location!
Nice but to much money and the people who stay there ara stuck up trust me they ask me if I could park my car on the side other the side of the street. I have very nice BMW the nervous of them
Great place to visit
Rude people live in these lofts. They park in front of peoples home. Right in front of their homes!! So they have no respect for the neighbors who live in the homes in this neighborhood.
One word beautiful
