Nate, Daniel and Robert were the 3 assigned to help clear my late mothers house. From the beginning, they were excellent communicators, timely, professional, kind, thorough and very careful with everything. I could not have asked for better guys. Liz, who came out initially to discuss the move, was also wonderful. She explained the process and answered all my questions. I am thoroughly impressed with all of them.

This was the 3rd time Crowning Touch has moved my mother. This time from NC back to Roanoke. We knew we could depend upon them, but their professionalism and care exceeded our already high expectations. Nate and Robert made the move a great experience. These two were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. We were in good hands and recommend them whole heartedly.

I had heard about Crowning Touch from friends and family that had utilized their services in the past. Once I did my own research, I was amazed at how many divisions there were and how they might make my Moms transition easier from living alone to living here with my family. We decided to contract with Crowning Touch for packing, moving and the sale of my Mothers home. We have been very pleased with the outcome. Last month Crowning Touch moved my parents from their home to an assisted living facility. My parents had a lot of items, such as china, crystal, and furniture that they couldn’t take with them. It was a relief to find out that Crowning Touch could sell them on consignment, and that we didn’t have to worry about packing them.The people on the packing team and the moving team were courteous, efficient, and attentive to the needs of my parents. When the movers were busy loading furniture onto the truck on moving day, they were coming back into the house to get more furniture when one of them noticed that my 87-year-old mother was across the room trying to sit down in a rocking chair. He stopped what he was doing to go over and steady the chair for her until she was safely seated. That might seem like a small thing, but it was an extra touch that mattered to me.

Liz and Pam were great to work with. The moving crew of Dimitri, Robert, and Malachai were friendly, efficient, and very professional. This is the second time my family has used Crowning Touch and both experiences have been very good.

We contracted with Crowning Touch to remove the possessions of our house and sell them. This service was recommended by our realtor as we wanted to do an estate sell but he wanted the property to be vacant. We had to pay them to have the items removed. It is a 50/50 consignment split, but they had also charged a fee to us. The way that they have sold some of the items makes no sense (I.e. selling the dining room table separate from the chairs). No one will answer the phone when we have tried to call and no one returned our calls. We have barely recovered the cost of the removal from the amount of sales.

Crowning Touch arrived when they said they would. The young men Nate and Daniel were courteous, thoughtful, hard workers and very efficient . I would highly recommend them and your company for moving needs.

Honestly, I love the idea of this service for transitioning seniors but after talking to them about their rates I was shocked. I felt a bit like they would be taking advantage of the elderly. The hourly rate was bordering on outrageous.

I purchased a couple of sofas plus some other items based on the auction description and some helpful individual communications with staff about the condition of the furniture. With Covid, plus my distance from the auction location, I was not in a position to go down myself.I also arranged to have the pieces delivered, which entailed dropping them off and moving heavy furniture around at two different locations. Both required navigating tricky doorways and farm roads.The auction items were in great condition and I was very pleased. And the two movers were absolutely fantastic-- skilled, careful, considerate, personable, respectful (espec. w/regard to COVID safety), and helpful with getting old household items out of the way.Thank you, Nate and Dmytro!

We took items from my parents to Crowing Touch to auction off. The woman we originally dealt with told us we could stop by at certain hours without an exact appointment. We were coming in from out of town for a dr appointment and didnt have an exact time to be able to make a definitive appointment. Once we arrived we were given a hard time and treated as if we were inconveniencing them. They did not go over our contract, or explain much of anything to us. They lost half of my Moms large set (19 place settings) of Noritake china and a table cloth. The check we received from the first auction was not correct and had money from items that were not ours. We called and had that corrected, but when it came to finding out what had happened to our lost items, it took about 10 phone calls. Most of the time we had to leave messages and the calls were never returned. We tried our best to maintain civility with the employees, but it was hard when we were hung up on multiple times. The office manager refused to help us. We were given excuses like that person no longer works here, but whether or not they still work there, Crowning Touch STILL has our items. Nina is the ONLY saving grace for this company! She went above and beyond to find our items, and its not even her job. Her efforts were truly appreciated. After a month, they finally found our items. With the next auction, they put the minimum bid higher than the first (with fewer pieces of china than the first). No bids were placed on our china. We now say, we want that china back as they are unable to do their part and sell items. They refuse to give them back. Dont just trust Google reviews, go to Yelp and Angies list, youll see. Again, their responses always give excuses. We all know what good customer service is. Crowning Touch does not even offer decent customer service.Also, they say they will research to find a value of an item. We took in three prints from an artist. After cursory research, I discovered the one had a remarque. I put a post-it on the print for my reference. I pointed the remarque out to the employee. What did the auction listing for these prints say? Remarque prints! No artist name, no description. Other listings were misspelled and misrepresented. Thoroughly unprofessional

I had a fabulous experience with Crowning Touch Moving Services. Linda was so knowledgeable as she went through each of my rooms to give me a quote. They took all my trash, consignment and moved all of my furniture without a single broken thing. Nate was absolutely the best possible person in charge during the move. He was personable, gracious, caring and very swift as he carried all the furniture . Rajul and Dymtro were fabulous as well. This group of young men were like the dream team. I could have never made this move without this fabulous crew.

What a wonderful company to work with! I had to clear out over 40 years of accumulated mess in a house that is a 9 hour drive from my home, and with this came the stress and pressure of how to manage a task thats this big. The team at Crowning Touch came in and fixed everything. Every person I dealt with was extraordinarily professional, and completed their jobs very quickly and efficiently. They managed to do in 2 working days what would have taken me over a month to complete. I was especially impressed by Nate and his team including Dmytro, Rajul and Corey. I can think of 4 other guys that worked with him, and now I cant recall their names, but every single one of them ranks among the hardest working and professional guys Ive seen. This move occurred in July and they spent almost half of their time emptying a hot attic, which I know was a miserable job, though at the end of the day every single person was friendly, kind and professional as they were when they first arrived. If I had this task to do all over again, I would definitely hire CT again.

They do have the best movers ! Buuut The owner Linda is the worst person to ever work with she cheats people out of there money she lies to customers ! The moves are always over 600 $ or way more then what they tell you ! She throws in last min charges to up the money. If I was you I would never let her company move me ! Go to 2 men and a truck !👍

Best customer service. We had a complicated and short turn around move to get my mother into retirement community for her safety. Rebecca managed to schedule our move on the weekend we needed (just 10 days notice). The men who came to move us, Nat and Shelton were effective and efficient, friendly and hard working. Love the auctions, especially that you can arrange delivery of furniture. Delivery was handled with care, pieces were wrapped so they wouldnt get damaged. Beware! Do not trust this company. What is promised is not delivered or done. Its run by a con woman. Highest price by shifty gamer. Items lost and broken. Contract not fulfilled. The packers leave household items behind and forgotten. The un-packers couldnt be more dense or dim-witted, leaving so-called set up a wreck and utterly unorganized. Seems the con woman hires cheap labor and gets very poor results. Have to say the men who muscle the heavy items are good at it. Forget even thinking about using this company for helping of caring about seniors like my mother who was royally ripped off.

Liz came to my home to give an estimate. 3 young men came at promised time. Justin, Dymtro & Devon wrapped & taped all furniture and loaded truck tightly. Guys were curteous & professional. Move was completed within $20 of estimate. Piece of moulding came off curio cabinet, but they fixed it so you wouldnt be able to see any damage. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

Wow! So many great items in their consignment shop from antique furniture to modern art. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. I recently won my sister a beautiful dining room table and chairs from one of their monthly browse and bid online auctions. Check it out!!

There was a male with long dreads that was in charge he was so polite. He made sure everything was put neatly on the truck not just thrown around he addressed me as Ma’am at all times. The prices where reasonable and I will use them again and I think his name was Tony very nice young man good workers.

I’ve never used the company nor do I ever plan to. I was driving out of my neighborhood a few months ago and a Crowning Touch movie vehicle was behind me. This was no big deal, but when I stopped at the stop sign, the vehicle HONKED at me. I’m a nervous driver and while I didn’t like this, I do tend to sit at that stop sign a bit longer because it’s harder to see when cars are coming. So I drive off, shaken, and I’m not over exaggerating when I say that I had stopped at a second stop sign for maybe 3 seconds, and this vehicle again HONKED at me! And these honks weren’t light, one second long “hey buddy come on.” Honks. These were full “DRIVE!” honks. So I drove off, blasting my horn in the process, and they luckily drove in the other direction. Moral of the story is that the driver was being a huge jerk and now I get paranoid anytime I drive around one of these trucks. These people need to learn how to drive again. Though I’ve heard that this company has an issue with being on time, so maybe that was the issue that day. Either way, don’t honk at drivers when they don’t deserve it.

Good place to buy stuff cheap and heres why. If you bring your valuable items to be sold, you never hear from them again, or get one small check for one or two out of 25 items. The rest disappear! My friend got nothing for her beautiful Ethan Allen bedroom set from her Hunting Hills home. It was given to GoodWill by them, or so they said. Dont consign with them. A yard sale if you can have one will work out much better!

Dont ever work for this company. They treat their employees like dirt . They dont pay them for all of the hours that they worked. And when they are forced to work through breaks, they still take the pay out of their checks.Never seen a more money hungry company who cares less about customers.

We are senior citizens and had a rather complicated move from our 1856 colonial home in Virginia. We are having a new home built but it will not be completed for 6+ months, so we needed to move a small amount of furniture, etc to a 1 bedroom apartment to live in for those 6 months and the balance of our belongings into Crowning Touchs climate controlled storage.Crowning Touch helped us pack some of our belongs and and, in short order, move to the two locations in a very professional, and very caring manner. When our new house is complete, they will be moving everything from the 2 locations to our new home. Crowning Touch moved us 11 years ago to our old home and we do not hesitate to tell everyone what a wonderful job they do....we would not use any other mover. Thank you for the timely, courteous service.

Very disappointed in the new minimum bid structure. Starting bids at or above full retail, is unacceptable. I will not likely be back, unless that changes. Also, the new pick up policy caused me to have to stay in Roanoke longer than I planned.

After a sales talk about the extra care they take, I found them to be the worst I have ever used, and I paid a premium for service I did not receive. They tell you all your furniture will be wrapped before it is taken out but they dont do that. In fact, they carried my wood furniture out and put it in the wet grass in the yard and put blankets around it after it was on the truck. The crew was very careless with my belongings, especially the boxes. Those marked top load and fragile, glass were put just anywhere they fit on the truck and in a stack to be moved on a hand truck, often on the bottom.The crew showed up an hour later than advertised, then rushed to get loaded. As the day went on, their handling became worse, both on loading and unloading day. The paint on my iron bed was perfect when they came. It is gouged and scratched all over now and the bolts are torn up too. This crew treated by furniture like junk. One person who broke a piece actually tried to hide it behind his back when we saw him break it.When I told the company President about my experience, she was apologetic but offered nothing else. I spent a thousand dollars more than the competition and fount out I wasted my money. I would have been better off to hire a couple kids and get a u-haul truck.I definitely would NOT RECOMMEND this company for your next move.

The food was very good. The service was ok. Not bad just ok. Couldnt get anyone to take dirty/used plates away. Waiter showed up at all theessential times but no extra check ins. So, service was ok but not great. Everyone enjoyed their food. Well be back. Maybe get a different waiter!

They stole and broke items and would not take responsibility for anything. I found out later they had many complaints for stealing from customers.

Crowning Touch recently moved us from Lexington Virginia to Williamsburg. Our experience was wonderful! There care for all of our belongings and the first rate crew who packed and moved us and delivered us to Williamsburg was first class. We cannot say enough good things about their service.
