We started out on a family vacation...not knowing once arrived near Roanoke Rapids NC, we would have issues driving down the interstate with our Motor Home. I searched online and found Pomp Boys Motors, made a call off the interstate and spoke with Mrs. Vivian Pompliano, who welcomed my family without hesitation. Upon arrival, our vehicle was diagnosed and problem found in less than an hour. Even though our plans changed a little for our trip, we felt confident leaving our vehicle with the Pomp family who take Great Pride in their work. Theyre staff is very knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. Just stop by and take a look at their inventory and show room. Theyre definitely more than a mom and pop shop, theyre a true classic step up! We will forever be thankful to them, especially Mrs. Vivian Pompliano keeping us posted while we were on vacation. If youre in Roanoke Rapids, please dont go JUST anywhere...stop or call Pomp Boys Motors for all your Motor Home, classic cars, every day car issues. Theres nothing they cant handle!!

I have dealt with Pomp Boys several times. Tony and Vivian (owners) and staff are a pleasure, The know all about cars, provide high quality service and are enjoyable people. I just sold them my Polaris Slingshot. I was treated exceptionally well and feel it was a fair transaction. I will deal with them again. Pomp Boys towed my sons vehicle in a very timely manner and we all worked together to come to the best outcome possible with the repair. Very knowledgable and experienced and their showroom is amazing! Gained friendships, quality work and we are getting my sons car back on the road!

Took our classic car to try and sell. They wanted my wife to bring the car up to get VIN number and to look at it. After doing that they made it seem like they were going to buy. My wife asked if they wanted us to leave the car there to do an inspection to make sure they wanted it (she had actually mentioned it a few times) but they said it wasnt necessary. After several attempts to reach them, they give us one price for the car before changing it to a lower price. We were ok with the lower price because the original price seemed too high to be true. They then wanted us to drop off the car because they then wanted to inspect it. We did and when we went back, they said they didnt do a full inspection because there was no need. Based on what they saw they didnt want the car even though everything they mentioned, they knew before we dropped it off that last time. They even said that the car was in an accident despite never running a report to find out. We never had an accident in it and the previous owners report it had never been in an accident. Pomp boys just said they assumed it based on a rust spot. They said they can take it on consignment and try to sell it for us. 2 days later we get an offer and had to come up to sign the title over and get a check because an employee of theirs wanted it. We get there and they said the buyer never test drove it so they had another employee do it for him. When he came back they said that there was some possible issues that would need looked at first before trying to sell it which we were okay with and had asked them previously several times if they were going to run an inspection.Vivian called us the next day and said that the buyer doesnt want it and that they will no longer sell it on consignment because it wasnt worth it but they could sell it as a barn find for a couple hundred dollars. She said they didnt do an inspection on it because there was no need. They just assumed what was wrong with it. When my wife mentioned how they had wasted a lot of their time and ours, Vivian blamed us for that. When I went to get the key, Vivian gave me the wrong key and then tried to say it was the right key. She then said that we got it keyed wrong. She then tried to blame my wife saying we gave them the wrong keys despite the fact that they used the keys to start the car and go on a test drive. When we looked for the keys Vivian continuously tried to blame my wife on giving her the wrong keys. She even tried to convince me again that they were the right keys. We know nothing about cars and rely on others expertise to advise us. If they did not want to buy the car that was fine. Would not recommend going here for anything.5/23/21 update: after reading pomp boys response to my review, they still choose to blame everyone else instead of taking responsibility for their poor professionalism. They create stories to try and make themselves sounds better. They say we werent honest? We asked numerous times about an inspection. Does that sound like someone trying to hide something or does it sound like someone that doesnt know anything about cars and defer to the professionals? They never gave us the chance to say if we wanted to fix up the car or not as, despite them saying they were going to inspect the car, they never did so how could we make a decision to fix it up? Vivian told my wife that they normally charge $250 for an inspection which we would have paid if offered. They never offered so we will be taking the car to a more trustworthy shop to get it inspected. If you want to deal with untrustworthy, unprofessional people, this is the shop for you. Otherwise, I suggest going somewhere else.5/25/2021 update: Pomp Boys has now appeared to have created a fake account and posted a negative review of my wifes business. their review mentioned trying to sell something and me supposedly harassing them by posting a negative review. If you dont want a negative review, do a good job. Its that simple. Pomp Boy motors has proven what kind of people they are.

Absolutely horrible place would never recommend anyone to them, had an extremely hard time getting my car back from this place, and all they did was go in circles. Cant trust them at all! UPDATE! the car only needed the oil drained there was to much oil in it and thats what caused the white smoke, this place told me I needed a new engine but all I needed was an oil change. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!
