Rose is amazing, however the OWNER and other staff members are rude and unprofessional. Also, it appears that they tend to cater to Caucasian clients the most. I used to drive over an hour to patronize this business, after today...I will no longer do that. If I could relocate Rose to the Summerwood/fall creek area of humble, I would!

I always come to Modern Nails whenever Im in town. Cindy is by far the best nail tech Ive ever come across. I asked her to do a set of Astros nails and I couldnt have ask for a better nail tech to do it. Cindy did an amazing job, she got really creative and gave me a gorgeous set. Shes so attentive and pays attention to the little details that you want. Cindy and her staff are always welcoming when I come in. Such a friendly atmosphere I highly recommend them!

Great experience! I had the best nail tech to do my medicare and pedicure. Everyone wore a mask and stayed 6 ft apart due to the outbreak, which in appreciated of. I also noticed how after every client they sterilize and clean all the tools before a new client comes in. I love the effort the make to keep us safe from this outbreak and still giving us the best treatments!

Ruby is the most AMAZING Nail Technician... Shes very quiet, but Awesome.. Now everyone dont go there and take her away from me, but she has the magic touch for nails. My nails arent think and bulky, which is good because I have large hands.. and just to add I get compliments from men and women.. there is one other lady there that does nails and she is good also, I just cant remember her name 😊. Pricing is a little on the higher side, but soooo worth it.. I like that shes younger than me, so she wont be retiring any time before me.

I will not say the occurrences today are racially motivated, but, the facts make for compelling evidence. I entered the shop without an appointment as it is midday and I’m not expecting a crowd. There are two customers being serviced as I entered with 2 available techs. I pick my options for colors after consulting with a tech who could hardly be bothered to answer my questions. Strike 1. Once the tech retrieved my color selection and sat down she then realized that she had misadvised me and I had to pick another color. She grabbed one hand and left me to thumb through the baskets of colors for my second choice. Once I made my selection she went to retrieve my colors once more. As she was returning another customer entered for the same walk in service. She turned to me and said “it’s ok you wait for next tech to finish and she help you” and went to assist the new customer. Strike 2. I didn’t need a third. I simply walked out. I’ll add that not one technician attempted to correct the situation or retain me. I’ll go else’s. Where. There are entirely too many shops to tolerate unmitigated disrespect for barely mediocre service.

Here’s all I am going to say. Most nail places I go to the acrylics come off within a few weeks. I don’t know how the ladies do it but mine stay on forever and still look as good as when I first got them!! I just walk in and someone does them. I recommend this place and all the ladies there. :-)

I wanted to have my nails done for my vacation but wasnt quite sure where to go since I didnt want to be tricked into getting anything other than my nails done. I read the review above mine and decided to just give them a chance. I am very glad I did. The nice young lady who did my nails was very helpful when it came to choosing which style nails I wanted. Since I bite my nails very badly, I chose the pink & white nails because i wanted my nails very short with a semi-thin french tip. As she was doing my nails, she took her time and paid very much attention to detail. She was in no rush which made me feel very appreciated. Through the process she asked me now and again if everything looked fine and it did. Sometime they leave the tips very flared out at the top but she didnt. She made sure everything looked natural. I am overall happy with their service.

If there were a negative star I would us it...I am almost positive half these people working here have no license to be doing nails. I always feel rushed when I visit this place. I have given them multiple chances and again bad service. My 9 year old could have painted my nails better than this lady did I mean its powder how can you have it all over my fingers....not happy at all...then charge me the full amount like if it was done correctly. I told the lady multiple times its not right and all she kept telling me was I fix it for you.....

Ive lived on this area for about 5 years now and Ive tried numerous nail shops and I think this one is the best overall. The ladies here take their time and dont rush you out. They actually take pride in their work and my nails always look great. I always have my 3 year old son with me when I go too and they are so nice to him. Some places Ive taken him they act like his presence is annoying them so I dont give them my money anymore. But these ladies accept him, do great work, and are friendly.

The technician doing my manicure had a runny nose and kept whipping her runny nose on her hand and now washing them. The things we do for pretty nails. I figured I’ll just wash my hands very well afterwards, but was repulsed that she was not washing her hands after whiping her runny nose with her hands and she is using her hands to work on my hands. I try not to interrupt technicians when working but I noticed that my nails looked really lumpy and the polish has many bubbles in it. I stopped her and asked if maybe the polish was too old or something like that because my nails looked bad. She said don’t worry they are going to look great when she is done. When she was done the polish was all over my skin, lumpy, bubbly, my nails looked bad. I showed her the bubbles and lumpiness and she said where? She totally ignored that I was not happy with the outcome and kept saying it was my fault for picking that color. The color was a light blush pink. I always choose light pink and never have had a problem. The manager came by and asked the technician to correct my nails. The technician grabbed a used coarse emery board and started taking the polish off with the board. I told her that she was cutting me, she continued cutting my skin in an attempt to file off nail polish. By this time I was ticked off. Your snot on me was one thing but now cutting my skin on multiple fingers and making me bleed I was done. I asked the manager for my money back and she said no she’s going to give me a gift card to make it all right. I told her absolutely not. I paid already and tipped to get my nails done. My nails aren’t done and I’m leaving in worse condition than when I walked in. I’m bleeding all over the place now and you used old emery boards on me. She finally refunded my money and I went home and immediately took a shower and put neosporin on my cuticles. I do not recommend this place at all ESPECIALLY if you have a low immune system like diabetics or in chemotherapy. They need a lesson in sterilization and customer service.

I’ve been coming here for the past year and I’ve never had a problem until today. I came in with my sister and we both wanted Rose so she had to wait. Rose finished my nails and she started setting up to do my sisters and then Cindy( who I believe is the owner) started yelling at Rose. After some yelling at Rose and embarrassing her Rose came and told my sister that she couldn’t do her nails cause Cindy didn’t want to stay late. Mind you they close at 7 and it was not even closing time. Times should be changed to CLOSED WHEN EVER CINDY WANTS TO CLOSE. If you do go ask for Rose definitely not Cindy

I went in late, I hate being that person but I had an event and needed a mani pedi. They were amazing! They took care of me with smiles on their faces and didnt make me feel like I was being rushed at all. My nails turned out so great. I get compliments on them everyday. Will definitely be going back.

This was a very sloppy and bad job. Polish is all over my cuticles and edge of the nail and I was sent home with wet nails. I later noticed the nail polish I was wearing before I got my nails done was still visible on some of the sides of my nails.They filed my nails very awkwardly and ended up fixing half the stuff they did on my own. If you want a polish manicure don’t go here.

I think I found my new favorite salon. My nail tech gave me exactly what I asked for and did a great job on my full solar set. Im new to the area and tried this place based on previous reviews- Im glad I did.

If i could give no stars i wouldnt leave anything. They did a horrible job. I initially went in for an acrylic overlay i explained everything to the woman about the importance of my natural nail staying intact for a natural, regular looking overlay. Instead thid woman breakd my nail so of course I ended up having to get them all cut off because they couldnt be naturally even because she broke my nails. The nail work was shotty period. I could have went on the sw side and had better work done for the price. Point of the story is that dont give just any shop your money. Everyone doesnt deserve a license and these people think just because they are in a high end area no person actually pays attention. Stop giving these people your money.

Highly Disappointed, Ive been going here for last couple years and the last time I went just ruined it for me. I had to go home and fix my own toes & nails. Waste of money & time. I will not give them a second chance. But if you do go - ask for Rose, not Cindy.

Sent my 15 year old to treat herself to getting her nails done. This is the worst job Ive ever seen. Sloppy polish and sent her away with wet nails...I wont even make any assumptions as to why they treated a paying customer this way. We live walking distance and never again will they get our business.

One of my nails is a bit crooked and it burned a little more than normal. Aside from that, it was well priced and the staff was nice.

If I could give negative starts would. This was the first and last time I will go there. The service was terrible and my nails look terrible. I will never waste money there again.
