The place was clean and the staff were friendly. I waited about half an hour, but I went at a busy time. The lady made improper change (she only gave me $10 back instead of $20 I was supposed to get back.) She didn’t make change at a register, she did it out of her pocket, so I used the mistake in change as part of her tip I was already going to give her. She did a great job painting my nails.

Amy, who runs the shop, is AWESOME! She keeps everything clean and the shop runs efficiently. Ive tried other spots and I keep traveling to come back here. Everyone works hard with great customer service!

The color on the sample nail did not match the dipping powder and the color for your toes that supposedly matched the dipping powder did not match. I chose a hot pink and I got orange nails and purple toes. They painted an orange shade over the purple color on my toes. When I got home the polish on my toes wasnt smooth, it was wavy. I guess there was too much polish on my toes. It was a mess. I will not go back!

I have been going here for years! I’ve tried other nail shoppes and no one else comes close! Amy always helps me schedule my appointment and Amy, Hannah, Ivy and Lily are some of the best nail techs in Richmond. Hands down. Love them all!

I chose this salon because it was close to my house & had a decent rating but I received the WORST gel manicure I’ve ever had in my life. Not only was the nail tech rushing through the entire process, my polish starting peeling off multiple nails the NEXT day!! Would not recommend this place due to the quality of service I received here.

I have been going to Hollywood Nails for years now. They are all very polite and always do an amazing job. I have been trying different color chrome and so far the Green and Pink have been my favorite.

Hannah was great!! She reshaped my nails perfectly how I wanted them and worked with me on my nail idea!! I will definitely be back!!

I love this nail shop! All of the technicians are amazing. Monica did this full set for me and she did such an amazing job. My nails look perfect and have lasted a very long time without chipping or breaking. She did the gel powder with gel color on top and did 4 of the nails with the matte top coat for me. Ive been coming here for years and dont plan on going anywhere else!

As always-Linda did a great job on my nails and the ladies are always so pleasant. It would help if some of the techs understood and or spoke a little English. I heard a customer try to explain to the tech that the polish was too dark atleast 5 times. I could hear the frustration in her voice. It went from being a little funny to sad smh

Exceptionally clean (tools are always sterilized), friendly, and professional. They do a wonderful job and make sure you’re satisfied. Absolutely no rushing, and go the extra mile with the massages. Best place in town.

Ive been getting my nails done here for a little over a year & they are AWESOME! Everyone is very nice & they provide quality service. The only thing Id like them to work on is nail designs. At least one nail tech should be able to properly execute any nail design & none of the nail techs are able to achieve a perfect cheetah print nail design.

She is a very understanding and professional nail tech.. there were a couple times that I went there and left my money at home (I’m very absent minded) but any way she was always very understanding of my situation and she would just tell me to bring it back when I come back the next visit (I always ended up taking it back the same day or either next day) but she is a very special individual... also mrs. Kim that works there is very nice and professional also.. Everyone in there does a great job actually I have been going there since they opened up and every time I go they acknowledge me by name and always ask me how I have been and she loves my daughter.. I appreciate the service they give me and I would recommend them to anyone..

Called for same day appointment with Lily (recommended by friend) she didnt have anything available. Approx. 30 minutes later they called me to say she had a cancelation. She did the pink and white gel and it looks fantastic! Lily is very professional and definitely knows what she is doing. Also got pedicure which was done by someone else but very good and thorough! Will definitely be going back.

Manicure here. Staff very friendly. It looked really upscale. They have wine for their regular clientele. First time there. Will probably be going there again.

I go to Hollywood Nails and they know me by name. I can pop in on any given notice and get my nails done. It is clean, quiet and peaceful. Fast service and my nail tech Hanna is great!!!

I’m going to start by saying RUDE PEOPLE work there, the owner is so unprofessional when it comes to understanding what the customer wants, also her and some of the staff are very disrespectful...they over charge you, some of their customers are very racist, there’re like 10 employees working on you, I didn’t like my experience there at all and DEFF WON’T COME BACK.

Unsatisfied client:Amy, salon owner did my nails and pedicures. She gets very defensive, do not apologize and do nothing to fix the situation. She does not connect well with her clients. There was little rapport, and she never tried to establish a good rapport between the two of us. I understand that we’ve going to have our good and bad days, however, she never ever had a smile on her face nor in her voice when talking to her on the phone. If you complain, its taken the wrong way. Don’t ever be late you will be blame for what happened, instead of she saying thank you for telling me what happened, then apologize.

Great friendly and clean! I was greeted with a smile, water and pineapple treats. My pedi was fab!

This review is for the Hollywood Nail Saloon next to Food Lion on Tuckernuck and Broad. THIS NAIL SALOON HAS A NEW OWNER AS OF ONE MONTH AGO (Oct 2012). So the bad reviews were for the former business establishment. The (new) staff was very professional and the new remodeling looks great. They couldnt fit us into an appointment on a Thursday and they accommodated us with a Saturday appointment and very good discount because of the inconvenience. The business was clean and visually appealing. The staff worked hard and provided a pampering experience and was enhanced with a light plate of refreshments. They know the nail industry well and provided a quality service.

Great place friendly service and they do amazing designs. My sister is sick and goes to doctors near here and we love it. We drive over 50 miles to get a mani/pedi with the hot stones ❤️❤️

Im currently sitting at a station repetitively getting cut and burned by the nail technician with NO apologies. The staff is rude and I will never return, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

This is standard salon. I like some of their practices to maintain cleanliness. However, if you dont make an appointment with the star nail techs Amy or Monica you will get a botched job from the rest. I was a walk in twice and was seen by Linda the first time. She is ok with pedis but a disaster with full set nails. They were oversized and the snowflake design was a mess. I saw Enn for my pedi the 2nd time and was not that great either. Henna did my full set after no one was available to do it because they were busy with appt clients first. I asked for a french manicure just to get out of there, as thats easy for any nail tech. This business needs to advertise appts only since thats the customer base they cater to. I gave it a shot twice and disappointed both times. WILL NOT GO BACK.

They put a polish on me that changes colors and didnt properly explained me that (very poor English skills). I had green nails instead of nude and they blamed me for not knowing all the nail polish brands (although I told them I didnt want green nails). The biggest problem of the place is the fact that they cannot communicate with you.

Love it ! My daughter and I walked in while waiting for her phone to be repaired and sat right down . The pedicure was amazing!

This review is for the Hollywood Nails by Food Lion and Tappeyanki(SP?) Grill... I have been going here recently to have my eyebrows done and recently decided to get a pedi. The service was amazing - i showed up a little bit before closing not realizing they were about to close and they took me in and did an excellent job on my pedi.... The Hot stone massage is amazing and having the light refreshments was very nice as well... Well worth the money. I will be only going here from now on. Great family and service!!

Please stay clear away from these mean nasty people.. or you could just let them do your nails and not remove the polish completely and put acrylic overtop of the nail polish and leave out dissatisfied with less coins after being yelled at numerous times. Oh yeah and with polish on top of the cuticles of your toes and get yelled at.
