I have been bringing all of my past and current vehicles 3 Vans and my daughters car for various repair and maintenance services since this place opened approximately 15 + years. Eric and Dan have personally worked on all of my vehicles. Honest, prompt, efficient, expert professional services I have always received and probably these words are not enough for their professional services. I have now moved to Bothell for past 3 years and still I come Renton even for an oil change.So Eric and Dan keep the excellent services going.And for my vehicle I will be always coming.... to Kings Transmission.

I had received one of the best customer service experiences this past week and couldnt be happier. My car gave out on me early last week and AAA actually recommended this Auto Shop to take my car to. They diagnosed the issues and fixed my car in a timely manner. While stressing about the condition of my vehicle, Dan took 25 minutes to explain what needed to be fixed and the process of shopping for a used vehicle with me. I am overall very satisfied with my experience and plan to recommend/use their services in the future.

I dropped my car there for a ransmission fluid leak repair, they supposed check the leaks coming from the transmission then, but they said that the warranty doesnt cover the same leak that they supposedly had to repair.

It starts at one price, then escalates to several times the estimate. I have paid them on several occasions, for repairs on 3 of my vehicles. They have even removed parts, from one. But, it’s always a call, with the sad story. Enough.

These guys rule! Before I even take my cars in, I like to stop by and ask questions. Doesn’t matter how busy they are, they always take the time to answer my questions. I’m in the process of building my Mustang, and mess up my back. And I can tell you. This is the only shop I will let touch my project car. They did my clutch. Outstanding work. Experience was very smooth, simple, and reasonably priced. Called in for a transmission service, oil pan, filter, oil change etc. nothing seemed over priced. They even showed pics of how dirty my oil pan was to explain to me the health of my transmission, very helpful.

We bought our Honda CRV new in 2008. Its been a great vehicle and there have been no major issues until now. The AC went out a couple of years ago and since we rarely need it here in the PNW, we decided to forgo the $1200.00 repair for a new compressor pump. It recently started making a terrible rattling noise and I was unable to determine the cause. Dropped it off at Kings and the next day, Dan called to give me the bad news. The compressor was actually coming apart and would need to be replaced. When I explained about not wanting to spend so much money, he offered an alternative solution. One that would keep the vehicle running properly, but would eliminate the AC, which we were already fine with. And it only cost half of what we would have had to pay. They got us fixed up and my wife picked up the car and headed out. Several miles down the road, it stopped accelerating properly and started chugging and lurching. She limped it back to Kings and they said they would have a look. Dan called to explain that a solenoid in the oil system had gone bad. He waived the diagnostic fees, replaced the solenoid, topped off the oil, and had us back on the road the next day. The work was performed in a timely manner, and the customer service was excellent! Definitely will be back when/if more work is needed.

So glad to find an honest shop! Dan is very personable and you can tell they care about their customers. I went to the dealership first and was given a hefty todo list for my car. Dan explained what my car needed and when rather than trying to get my bill racked up! Thanks again!

I brought my truck here to have the rear differential fixed at the recommendation of a different mechanic. Its my experience that when someone in the industry is recommending someone else in the same industry, that the person tends to be good. This rule of logic did not fail this time either. I took my truck in and Eric took a look at it and took it for a quick test drive. He concurred with the other mechanic as to the problem and offered me a quote and a timeline to get it fixed. I brought my truck back as scheduled for its repair. The repair was done on time and under budget. The problem appears to be solved (no more noise etc) and I just came back from a road trip with it (trial by fire!) where my truck ran smoothly and without problem. I wont hesitate to bring my truck back in the future... actually the very near future since I need to have a short hunted down from the radio.

I brought my truck in after having replaced the transmission and having issues with the one I purchased and without any hesitation they got it all dialed in and working GREAT and even dealt with the shop that sent me a bad transmission! Even though the transmission was not built by them they worked with me and helped me out so very much. We have been bringing our vehicles to Kings for many years (and many, many problems-old vehicles). At first we went due to convenience because we lived across the street but now we live in another city and use them due to trust. Dan and Eric are wonderful to deal with. They have so much patience with all of my questions. As a female, I have had problems at other repair places because they talk down to me or have taken advantage of my lack of car knowledge. I have always felt like Dan and Eric have been straight with me and have treated me with kindness and respect. They have made sure I knew where the financial priorities were and have never tried to upsell me. I recommend them to my friends and my family.

My experience was great. I called the local Goodyear competition and found they wanted at least 4 hours and $65 dollars more for a standard transmission service. Goodyear was also not available for days. I spoke with Dan at Kings Transmission on Tuesday, he said they were also busy but could easily get me in if I came in early. When I asked about details, Dan walked me through the process answering all my question in a professional way.Today I came in early, signed in, turned over my key and gave my contact phone number. Being a business area, I found a local breakfast stop, had a bit to eat and soon got the call that everything was looking good and to expect that service would be compete in ~15 more minutes.I headed back to Kings Transmitting with coffee in hand and was able to meet the owner Eric. I learned from Eric that he has 2 locations and 10 employees. They were nice enough to stand together for a photo that I placed on Google Maps.So I saved money, was able to get in, even with a full parking lot of cars. My car was test driven after service as the double checked for any issues. I and am very happy with their service and would definitely use them again.

Have had several vehicles serviced here over the years. Always treated right. They charge the price quoted and finish on time. The owner is hands on and cares about their reputation.

Looks like an additive in the basic coolant flush package provided by Kings transmission may have ruined my radiator and engine. Pep Boys is not taking admitting fault as the manufacturer stands behind the product. My understanding is the additive over time created a substance that ruined the radiator and then restricted the water jackets and as a result the engine was ruined. This has been substantiated by the dealer. Not only should They not have recommended and performed 2 coolant flushes within months of each other but, the additive they used should not be used in Hondas, according to the manual. And, coolant flush should last 10 years - it has only been 2.

Terrible. First of all they asked me to tow truck to the shop, next they ask +250$ To initial estimate. After I questioned why the doubling price owner got pissed and told me to remove truck or it will be towed away. At the end when I said ok you got me, lets fix it at your price he completely refused to work on it and demanded truck to be moved out in next few hours or he will call tow company.I ended up pay for towing twice and waisted my time with this guys.Stay away if you can, or be ready to get ripped.

Been bringing my car here since moving up to Renton and guys are always honest and willing to tell me what I need to know without trying to sell me stuff or services I dont need. Will continue to bring my car here as it can be difficult sometimes to find a place you feel like you can trust.

DO NO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. We dropped off a vehicle to be worked on and someone broke into the property and broke into every car on the lot. About $300 worth of damage just to our vehicle and personal papers and items were stolen. The owner just shrugged his shoulders and said he doesnt have any insurance and all expenses would be ours. Ridiculously irresponsible of him.

Have been to some different place to do oil change. Here is the only place which never have engine issue after the oil change. Take out one star, because, some jobs, they charged me 20 minutes, but only 2 minutes work. They said they charged it by book. The book said that job needs 20 minutes.
