Vehicle would turn over but would not start so they ran a some diagnostics and a fuel pressure test and found out that the fuel pump was shot. Had them replace the pump which is a pricey item and is somewhat of a labor intense job so not cheap but this was my sons vehicle and being he doesnt have a lot of money coming in right now and he needs the car we went ahead and had it replaced. When I first talk with the shop I was told that they probably wouldnt get to it until the following week but I guess one of the mechanic had time and was able to get rite on it and we had the car back the next day...great job guys! Now my son can get back to work and making money.

Best auto maintenance facility Ive ever experienced. Im 75 years old, been to many in various places throughout the US. Moved to Seattle area 16 years ago, found Mathewsons and will not go anywhere else for my auto maintenance needs.

Mathewsons did an excellent job with diagnostic work with some mechanical issues on my 1966 Ford Fairlane 500XL. They kept me abreast of the work performed, and delivered on time. Plus, at my request, they put my car up on a lift, and gave it a thorough safety inspection. I highly recommend them!

Highly recommended if youre tried of the dealerships. Reasonably priced. Low wait times. Quality work. Shuttle services if youll be waiting all afternoon.Though if you need a ton fixed I suggest going to the dealership because the dealership will offer you a discount. Mathewsons prices everything individually and can add up fast.

After spending years dealing with bad service from Toyota Im all for Mathewsons. Good customer service. On par prices with dealerships and they get you in and out relatively quickly. Shuttle service for longer wait times. Recommended.

Mathewsons are REALLY auto mechanic experts! There is no car problem that they havent dealt with before. They have a special expertise with older cars, which I like because I am the proud owner of a 1991 Cadillac and a 1997 Toyota. My only beef is that they tend to be expensive, but I would say that they are not more expensive that another expert. I recommend them! Thanks, David Ross

I am beyond upset with Mathewsons. I have gone to them for awhile now and have noticed recently they seemed to have changed from what I once thought they were. I had my car towed to them because it wouldnt start. I was charged for two diagnostics when I stopped them from doing anymore because they were going to charge me again for another diagnostic. They sent a person to my home to collect the money I owed them for the diagnostic before they would release my car to be towed back home. They gave me an invoice of what was the problem determined from their diagnostics. I had the modules and crankshaft sensor installed. It still would not start. Then fuses were checked and that was what the problem was!!!!! I called Josh and asked him if they bothered to check the fuses and he said they were supposed to but wasnt sure if they did or not but they were suppose to. Apparently they did not!!! I spent several hundred dollars to repair a car that didnt need to be repaired because of their diagnostic tests. The information they told me was wrong and it turned out to be a $2.00 FUSE!!!!! I will never trust them again!!!!!

Thes folks are The Best. Josh, Jeff and, the entire crew are all about satisfying the customer. Since 2002 its been my Go-To shop. From my Blazer, to Cadillac, to my Chevy Cheyenne pick up, they do it all with Integrity and, professional service. We moved away from the area 3 years ago, about 50 miles south, they Still are the place I Choose to go to. I Cant say that about a single other business Ive been to, and Ive been to a lot. I have taken my old BMW to Mathewsons for years for work as simple as an oil / lube or as complicated as what is that shimmy feeling in the front tires? I have to laugh. I just realized that Ive been taking my cars here for twenty-five years. I own a mixture of classic and modern cars. In all my years I cant remember taking any car back because it wasnt fixed right the first time. They must be doing something right as many of the staff have been there since I started going there. They have a great staff that does great work the first time.

This is absolutely the best place to go to have your vehicle worked on. Prices are more than fair. There honesty is beyond 5 stars. They have gone above and beyond in many circumstances to please there customers. Very knowledgable. Very friendly and caring. The only down thing I can say about this place is they are quite busy but that just shows you there are a great company.

These guys have been so great to me for about the past17 years! I was having nothing but trouble with other places where I took my car and once I found them, it was straight forward and clear. They have been the ONLY shop I trust! They are nice, consistent and know what they are doing! I recommend them to everyone. Even though Ive moved out to Issaquah, I still bring my car to them!

Never purchase a battery here I just picked up their best quality battery about 3 weeks ago & was completely dead 2 days after. I have already confirmed that it is definitely a battery problem. The original battery I purchased in 2017 was fine until last month when I called them so they said bring it down so we can test it. I brought it to them and they said there was nothing wrong with the battery and I said they’re wrong but they still wanted to argue. They gave me another battery off the shelf, I knew there was nothing else wrong with the truck. Since they gave me such a hassle about exchanging it I told my friends/family that I would never purchase there again. I’ve since purchased another battery from elsewhere and not had any problems. They claim that they did not manufacture it so they do not have to honor the warranty even though I purchased from Mathewsons directly

At best disrespectful and expensive. They have a contract to service King Co Vans and went out their way to make trouble for our commuter group.

I have taken both our vehicles to Mathewsons for the past 16 years for ALL service from the time the vehicles were new. I have complete trust in their diagnosis and repair. Ill not use another service provider. They are always prompt, courteous, fully explain repair options, and stand behind their work. One time, we were on a lengthy driving trip, were in Ohio, and had a check engine indicator. We called them on the phone, they explained the likely situation and made recommendations to remedy the situation.Mathewsons is the very best automotive repair service Ive had in my 60 years of driving. They are the best and will do their best to keep your vehicle in top running condition!

Was sent to them by my mechanic to work on my truck. I called them to set a day and time to bring my truck in and they say they are busy this morning and to call back later and hung up on me. When I called back they said theyre not able to work on my truck. They wasted my whole day when I could have been calling other places. The spoke like they were being polite like thank you and sorry but it came across rude. I obviously wont be going to them for work on my truck and I definitely wont be calling them for any of my other 5 work trucks.

These guys are true professionals. They get the job done right. And they stand by their work. Friendly and helpful. I take all of my cars here--the newer ones and the old school classics.

Tried to charge a friend of mine $1100 for a new steering column. Was a bad ignition and they said they couldnt find the part. Googled it and it only cost us $75. Not the only person theyve over charged. Beware these guys!.

Bring Money. Bullion, buckets’ full, barrels of it. Got a Late-Last-Century Truck with problems. Took it in and TOLD them that I was about to sell it on CRAIGSLIST, or TRADE IT IN. Clear about that. Told them it had problems, that I needed 1) Find/fix a fast coolant leak -- About a gallon/day started 48 hours before. Guess I hurt the truck’s feelings. 2) Check the brakes. 3) Oil change & rotate the tires. 4) What does a re-alignment cost? and 5) Anything else?These guys came back with a litany of stuff that totaled $3,100. Helloooooo? Did I not say that I was trading it in? Whoa…. Must be a wreck!!!.... No? Let’s look at the estimate highlights.A) Fuel Filter Change. Parts $18 Labor$112. Total: $130. ouch.B) Valve Cover Gasket Set. A golden oldie … surprised they didn’t offer me a transfer case flush and re-fill. Parts $44 Labor $326.37 Oh… and “cleaner” $7… “sealant” $9... “thread lock compound” $7… “Haz Mat/Shop Supplies” $11. A sploosh of silicone, 8 drops of Loctite, some mineral spirits on a “Bounty”, and a toss to the dumpster from the 3-point line. Total: $443 More ouch. The engine bay and undercarriage are dirty, but not greasy. Not dripping oil. Not doing that.C) Oh hey: Transfer Case Flush & Re-Fill. Parts $15. Labor $50. “Haz Mat/Shop Supplies” $1.73 Uh… for a gallon of used goop??? It was $11 for dirty wipes. Total: $75. .... and GreaseMonkey changed out all cases 30k miles back. Not doing that.D) Front Brakes. (Brake system works great. No pulling. No pedal travel. ABS is fine.) Pads were down to 10% tho. You want HOW much!?! But sir, we do the job 100%; We NEVER just change the pads!! We won’t take the responsibility of a bad job! “New Calipers” $256. “Labor” $150. “Brake fluid exchange” $78. “Brake Fluid” $12. “Brake Chemical Kit” $14 (My fave!!! Foo-Foo liquids? No idea). “Brake Cleaner” $7 “Haz Mat” $8. …. Must be a random number generator app for pricing this. Total: $571 Un …. Be…. Lievable.E) Upper and Lower Ball Joints. “Parts” $450. Not just the ball joints, but the entire upper control arms and lower tie rods. Labor $600 (includes a non-complementary alignment) “Haz Mat” $21… I give up… Total: $1,175 I take umbrage at this one as 1) The tires show NO abnormal wear patterns (and still have plenty of tread, btw) 2) The truck tracks and brakes straight down the road when hands free 3) No vibration/shimmy. 4) As per YouTube (car on jacks, wiggle the tire up-down/left-right) Nothing/Tight. I’m trading the 15 y.o. car in or selling it on Craigslist. Caveat Emptor. Keeping my written opinions to myself.F) Coolant leak. Radiator corroded, needs replacement. $280 in parts and a $Franklin in Labor. Reasonable and fair. Water heaters don’t last as long.I paid for the work they did, and walked out. Couple YouTube vids on HowTo. Went to Autozone and spent $200 on the radiator, brake pads and assorted fiddlybits to put them in. Finished it all up in 5 hours and I don’t do this for a living. NOT coming back ever.
