I have been going to Physio Performance for a little over the year to work on increasing my strength and boost my endurance. Isaac, my trainer has been an incredible motivator, helps me continually improve my ability to lift and constantly challenges me to do more! Nick, one of the Physical Therapists found a solution for an irritated shoulder during one of my work outs. His knowledge and taping of my shoulder got me back on track and provided me the ability to not miss any of my training sessions.Because of my incredible experience at Physio Performance I took my daughter to see Ramsee another Physical Therapists. She has been instrumental in my daughters recovery of a long time knee injury. Her excellence and understanding of my daughters injury has enabled my daughter to be pain free and has increased her strength tremendously making her a better competitive cheerleader! The entire staff is warm and welcoming and really has your best interests for fitness and health in mind. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I went to Physio and Nick Hald for some reoccurring lower back pain. As I’ve gotten older and transitioned from my athletic days to an adult desk job, I’ve lost the flexibility and core strength I used to have. Nick did an amazing job pinpointing exactly where my weaknesses were and laid out some great back and core strengthening exercises as well as stretches. This not only provided immediate relief but gave me the tools to prevent future episodes. Nick does such a great job of explaining the movement patterns and functions of different body parts, everything made perfect sense after I first met with him. I would tell anyone I possibly could to go see him and the Physio team if they have issues. Even if you just want to increase your functional strength, Physio is the place to go. They can do it all and have the best experts around!

Nick and team changed my entire understand of physical therapy. I had never had physical therapy but from what others told me; it seemed clinical, specific and exclusive to the recovery from an injury. What led me to physio was what I thought was a possible pinched nerve from weight lifting. After my first visit I was encourage to find out that was not the case. I signed up for 10 sessions in order to focus on the muscle weakness I had in my hip. Through the following weeks I was given a regime of exercises to assist with the strengthen as well as tips and understanding regarding physical fitness, weight lifting and overall health. Even after the hip weakness became less of a concern, my sessions morphed into training and coaching sessions.I came to Physio out of fear that I had damaged something that would lead to an end to weightlifting and exposure to chronic pain. What I left with was something I had never dreamed of nor realized how much I needed....confidence. Through the sessions with Physio I was given the tools and knowledge to understand physical fitness in a way I hadnt realized before. I now can push myself harder with an awareness of what works and why it works.Physio is an out of network provider and they are that on purpose. It was money out of my pocket (vs the more customary insurance billing) but was an investment in me I didnt realize I needed. The value that they can provide goes beyond the limits the health care system imposes. They are not looking to be the typical breed that medicates the problem but looking to revolutionize the industry by creating real solutions and empowering people to not just recover but prevent injury.I am in the debt of physio for what they gave me. Nick would likely dismiss that as what I took out of it. Regardless, the whole staff are stellar and while Nick was my therapist, there were many moments where others stepped in to give me specific guidance in the areas they specialized. I felt honored, respected and cared for throughout my experience. I wish them the best and hope for you to take the leap and choose to check them out.

Physio Performance/Dan came highly recommended from my daughters dance studio. He helped my 12 year old work through and understand her knee pain. I love how he kept her engaged at every visit and made sure she understood her homework exercises. He got down on the floor with her and did every exercise with her. Hes so personable & knows that kids are just going to throw away a piece of paper with exercises on it! He videoed her exercises for her on her phone while talking through them. I just loved that! Weve been to a few physical therapists and hes hands down the best experience weve ever had.

I recently finished six weeks of PT with Dr Ramsee Hald. I decided I needed PT after I noticed my right foot wasn’t lifting as much causing me to fall on hikes and my hip mobility was greatly reduced from a fall 18 months prior at a local fitness facility that had a faulty floor. Ramsee listened to my concerns and put me through a gait and hip mobility assessment which was affecting my right foot issue. She quickly identified my key issue and put together a treatment plan. She used dry needling and stretching techniques then gave me a series of exercises to start. Each week I was assigned more exercises based on how things were progressing and adjusted the therapy based on my feedback.6 weeks later, I can honestly say things are so much better! I’m currently training for a marathon walk and I’m finishing double digit miles without fear of tripping or falling and it’s a relief this almost 63 year old body is still able to keep up with much younger training partners! In addition, Ramsee hosts free Saturday clinics addressing many athletic activities and how to make your body work for wherever you are at in your lifespan. If you need PT, I highly recommend Dr. Ramsee at Physio Performance!

Physio Performance is the premiere athletic rehabilitation clinic in the Black Hills. Dr. Jensen is a world-class physical therapist that the Rapid City area is very fortunate to have. As a college football player at my 1 year post-op checkup in May for an ACL reconstruction, my surgeon wasnt at all satisfied with my progress and told me I had to have a great summer of rehab if I wanted to get cleared to play in the Fall. It was at that point that I turned to Dr. Jensen at Physio Performance. In less than a month I went from not being able to safely run, jump, or athletically move at all to aggressively planting off my repaired knee without a brace. At first I wasnt able to properly perform a body weight single leg squat on my left knee. Three weeks later I was repping out single leg piston squats while holding a 75 lb dumbbell! At my next checkup with my surgeon he was amazed at the progress Id made in a mere three months and said I must have found an extremely talented and knowledgeable physical therapist. As an athlete returning from injury, or even just wanting to improve performance and minimize injury risk, or a civilian just trying to get in shape, I cannot recommend Physio Performance enough. Dont wait for Olympic level rehabilitation and training expertise! Get into Physio Performance as soon as you can.
