I thought it was odd how long they took for a barber shop but they paid close attention to detail. Im used to military cuts where you are in and out but I was surprised how good the nice lady made me look. Ill definitely be back when I come to Rapid.

Hate to leave a review like this but the guy that cut my hair rushed and I had to come back in because he missed some. Left the shop covered in my own hair. Didn’t know how to line up the front. Get what you pay for here I suppose

The older folks are nice but move and cut slower than Molasses in winter time. Less talk when 5 or more folks are waiting. The younger girls do pretty good.

Amazing experience, exceptional haircut. Came right at closing time, but the owner still welcomed me in.This will be my goto barber moving forward. Highly recommended.

I hate to have to leave a bad review because the people here are nice but my hair cut got really messed up here. My hair was long like down past my shoulders and I ended up having to lose like 4 to 5 inches after a huge chunk of my bangs got taken out on accident . I only wanted a slight trim but now I have to wait almost a full year for my hair to grow back to the length I originally wanted

Fantastic barber shop. Came in for a beard trim and had recieved amazing service and a very high quality beard cut. The lady working really knows what shes doing. Highly recommended!

Always a great experience and haircut. Professional, clean, friendly. When I moved to Rapid City, I was looking for a new barbershop. I couldnt bring myself to try a shop that put the words man and salon together in its name. Couldnt be happier Barbers of Main St.

Today is the second time I have been there. I have had two different barbers an older gentleman and today a younger female i didnt catch either of their names unfortunately, I will be back for every hair cut . Its clean, friendly, and both haircuts were great. A+ EXPERIENCE! I highly suggest everyone give them a shot and you will be a repeat customer as everyone in the location obviously was . Even the customers waiting provide a old time barber shot feeling.

Super long wait time, overpriced, small cramped space. On the plus side, haircut came with a straight razor back of neck shave, which was nice.

Phenomenal experience. I travel and move a ton. For the first 20+ years of my life I would let my hair get long and only get a cut when I went back to my home town and childhood barber. That guy just gave me a special experience and cut my hair for almost 30 years. It’s always been a struggle to find a place that felt the same. A barber is a very personal experience and it’s about a lot more than just the haircut. When it comes to other barbers it’s been 50/50 at best. My needs aren’t complicated. I work in the woods for months at a time. I want a low maintenance haircut that grows out well and isn’t overly styled. I don’t want to look like I’m in the military. I don’t want to look like some slick weatherman or real estate agent or something. Just a basic low maintenance contractor/outdoorsman cut. Historically this has been very difficult. This shop killed it. The girl that cut my hair did an attractive/low maintenance cut. Her chemistry/dialogue was exceptional. As a new client she made me feel welcome and we immediately had a great conversation about a variety of stuff around the Hills. The cut was, honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had. I will keep coming back to this shop. Easy 10 out of 10.

The Barber’s of West Main provide a quality haircut and a low cost. Great shop, great conversations, fantastic barbers. I haven’t gone to a different barber since I’ve discovered them four years ago. If you’re looking for a quality cut, this shop is the stop.

Quality cut and great experince. I had a high quality haircut at low cost. They took the time for the fine details. They were not rushed. Very satisifed with end result. Clean and uniform. Out of the goodness of the barbers heart, they gave a military member in front of me a free hair cut. this ones on me they said. I was moved by this action. This barber shop is much more than a place to get a quality hair cut at fair cost. Their values and pride in their work makes me proud to be a part of the community and they empasize the good character and personal qualities that are needed during these uncertain times. That being said, I will be returning for future services from this barber.
