They rightfully towed my car. Because I parked illegally by they wasnt a space for me to park and I have medical issues. However, when I got my car back the front bumper was damaged and they swore it was already damaged. But the damage was not there the day before. The guy took a picture of the damage and returned about 23 minutes later with a picture of the a computer picture saying that it was my car with the damage super imposed and you couldnt see the surroundings. Saying that his driver got out and took a picture of my car prior to snatching it. The picture the that was taken with the surroundings didnt show damage. I have never had an accident with my car and bumped into anything. I am talking with someone and my insurance group to get some resolve.
They need to work on their customer service skills. I can understand they have a buisness to run, but they need to learn how to treat. customers. Everyone is just rude as hell. Especially John who does dispatch. No wonder they have such low ratings
I know there are a lot of 1 star reviews on here, and they are literally in the business of holding people accountable to improper parking among other things. This will result in poor reviews not matter what. But if you are a business owner/manager this team is amazing. They want to find solutions with you, they are responsive, and they too want to just run an extremely tough business. I appreciate this partnership and they have solved the parking problem we were facing. Thank you Unlimited!
I had no issue with surrendering my car to be honest it was a piece of junk and cost more to fix than to have. My biggest issue is that my personal belongings were taken out of my car. It was almost like everything i left in the car was gone. I have waited a few days to hear from management… nothing. No one wants to fix the problem they created and i find that not only unprofessional but also irresponsible as a business.
I called the office to get a vehicle off of my property and the operator was nonchalant and demanding. I asked for an ETA on when the tow truck would arrive, she couldn’t tell me that and then proceeded to hang up on me before I finished talking. Mind you, I was polite the whole time even after getting her rude undertones and side comments. I don’t know what it is but unlimited recovery loves to hire people with attitude problems.
Unpopular opinion but I appreciate this business. As the renter in a community where you have the option to pay or not for a designated parking spot I appreciate the service and timeliness of this business. I’ve had to call several times as the clearly marked reserved parking spot that I pay for has been parked in by unauthorized vehicles. They have been prompt and courteous and I appreciate them for that.
Work was done timely, and I liked the honest conversation (because the car is old) about the work being done and what would be above what the car is worth.
I parked in a reserved parking spot by accident because I was in a hurry and got barnacled. The company was very professional and easy to deal with. I admit my mistakes and I wish others would also.
The driver predatorily towed my car from my friends apartment complex there are 3 visitors spots that were all taken so I parked in a regular spot there were over 20 other spots open and available we wen to the grocery store for 20 min and when we came back my car was on the tow truck he demanded 150 to drop my car I said I’m calling the cops this is crazy he says the cops ain’t doing sh@$ for you lady. I stand in front of the car and he proceeded to push me down with his tow truck! I have video to prove it and scrapes and bruises and a police report to prove it!!! Next call is to a lawyer!
Unfortunately I had my car towed and when I went to pick it up I had found that they had broken into my car and stole a carton of cigarettes from inside. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but to someone of very low income, on top of paying the fees to get my vehicle back, I’m now out an extra $65. But in reality the monetary value of the cigarettes is negligible compared to the fact that this company employs people who will steal from their clients.
This company should be be rated a -10, but since this is not a ratings will we go with 1. This company came topick up my daughters car. The three bruts that arrived were rude and obnoxious. After hooking her vehicle up. She was told to get her money up. How sthat for professionalism. Not, only did they argue with her they also falsely accused of her having to deal with her before. Weve never been in contact with this company. At any rate please never use the service, ever. Companies like this shouldnt receive any business. Now, on to my formal complaint at the better business bureau!
The workers are extremely rude. I understand the business they are in so sometimes it may cause for sternness or a little aggressive but they all talk to you with no respect. They need training on the laws especially for handicap residential parking as I had to educate the tow man attempting to tow my vehicle, later realizing I was absolutely correct!
Company towed my vehicle at 8pm on a Friday. I call and pick it up at 2pm on Saturday and Im charged $50 for an after hours release. Only other alternative was to wait until Monday which would have accumulated $70 in storage fees instead. Actually a scam. Open 24/7, towed my car after hours, I pick it up in less than 24 hours and Im charged extra for it. These kind of practices are predatory and should not be legal.
Should havee zero stars. This company towed me from my own house and treated me incredibly rudely. Service charge goes on at 5 and if you get there at 4 40 they will sit there on the phone ( personal calls gossiping) you until 5 so they can add the charge. Read the rest of these review s, one star is too kind . These people do not deserve to run a business, they also scratched my car in the process. Honestly one of the worst companies you could do business with, dont ever give them your business voluntarily. They are NASTY rude.UPDATE : thank you for the reply. I agree there should be no way they could charge the extra day at 5 BUT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID. Even though we were there almost half an hour before and listened to the desk workers conversation for a good 20 minutes while any non rude employees that may work there werent anywhere to be seen . There is a serious reason your reviews average out to under 2 stars, 587 of them means its not just some one off incidents. I would really appreciate being out in touch with the damage claims department, i think discussing refunds and settlements would be appropriate at this point. Thanks.
Be careful.. they will get you. Parking pass or not.
People are great. The woman at the front desk is helpful and gets it done.
This was a complete RIP off my vehicle was towed from Clintion to Raleigh and I had to pay $300 to get it back. That place is a complete junk yard who gets rich out taken from others. They are completely unprofessional and thieves I had a lot personal things in my car. My money was stolen as well as my GPS Navigation.
Great customer service by general staff on site. I was satisfied with information shared, that I might be interested in knowing while conducting business.
My car was towed from the complex I live at! How exciting. I am so happy. I would totally recommend them.
I am very disappointed in this business. I understand yes my car being repossessed was my fault and I payed to get it back. But things being stolen out of my car is just wrong. Especially when they didnt have the key to get into my car. I called and was told a member of management would call me, yet have not heard back from anyone. This is not how to run a business. Also they pulled my car the entire length of my dirt drive way. Thats not very professional.
My car was towed and i have called them since they first opened. They have left me on silent hood for 1hr one time 50 mins another time 40 mins. And then the phone hangs up. They keep claiming to have phone issues. And won’t release my car to me.
Put a barnacle on my friends car while in the parking spot he pays for monthlyThought I would update this. His property manager contacted these guys and they still refused to take the barnacle off without someone paying for it
They reposed my car on Memorial Day around 4 am. They drug my car out of my driveway and tore up the gravel. Then the following Monday I had to find a ride to Raleigh to pay them $75.00 to get my personal belongings and after I paid it I went outside to my car someone had went throught everything In it Including the trunk they stold a number of things out of my vehicle including the sticker on my tags someone used a razor blade and cut out the month and year but they left the part that had my tag # on it 😡 I went to the office and reported it and the lady at the front desk told me that Management would be in touch with me and no one has called me yet!! So I called again today and still havent heard back from Management yet. Its bad enough to loose my Job in December of last year due to health issues and the Pandemic. Then I loose my only means of transportation so now I cant go to my Doctor Appointments because I dont have A way to get there. And then some low life stoled stuff out of my car!!
I understand this company doesnt get love for there lot management system. This company does towing for their own business quota. Tell you why! My car was parked in a apartment complex where their were other vehicles which took the visitor parking spots. I dont worry about what others do. In this case its injustice. They did not have a visitor pass visible which somehow did not exclude my vehicle from getting towed? When I went to get it the same day. Not one person answered at the place. As is seemed no one was there at all. Today I begged and pleaded with them on the phone if they could not charge me an extra $35.00 for storage fees. Initially it was $125.00! THEY WOULD NOT BUDGE. I was being polite and really asking them that in this pandemic and being unemployed this doesnt seem right to AT LEAST DECREASE THE PRICING. One lady ended up saying I AM NOT GONNA SIT HERE AND ARGUE WITH YOU? They do not care about what other people go through.. they been through this a million times and it helps them fill there pockets while others starve out here to make ends meet!!!!!
Worst business ever. Towed my car and only my car when others had no pass. Also lied to me and said he would drop it for 100 dollars. I called my parents for help and he bumped it to 150. Snakes a few theives work here!
The whole ordeal was stressful. Not having a visitor pass n getting towed. The young man did everything he could to help. We had to have the car towed away and the guy had to talk with AAA but we got the car. Very happy.
Im not surprised this company only has a 1 rating. Completely dishonest, predatory and unprofessional in every way imaginable. They stole my work van from a LEGAL service/contractor parking area that in no way could be mistaken or misconstrued to be illegally parked. After arriving at the business, I witnessed employees lighting massive fireworks that were exploding in the street and set fire to a wooded area behind me. An employee proceeded to pull his pants down and urinate on the fire while other employees were laughing. The staff inside the business were no better, extremely rude and once shown photos proving that the space was legal parking, demanded $200 in ransom in cash only because they perceived that I would dispute the charge. This company is the living embodiment of every bad, scummy stereotype that tow companies hate.
Great, hard working guys.Posted by Mikes Towing & Transport.
Wasn’t happy to find out my car had been towed & brought to this location as they have some sort of contract with my apartment complex, I apparently parked in a reserved spot for maintenance & I can’t be upset for my own mistake but the ladies at the front desk were actually really friendly & helpful and it wasn’t as expensive to retrieve my vehicle as I thought it might be .
So they are NOT receiving a one star because they towed my car and Im mad about it. However I am giving a negative rating because my complex painting the lot so as a result the relocated my car to a different part of the neighborhood however they failed to inform me or the complex of where they relocated my car even though the complex gave them a designated area but that was just the initial frustration it increased as the receptionists gave me the wrong location at least 3x which left me rooming the neighborhood hood for at least an hour so when I called in to notify that it was again the wrong location because my car was not there she very rudely told me there was no other information they could give me and then when I asked if she could call the towman to get more information I was left on hold for 35 minutes then she hung up now I called in a 5th because I found my car and it was not at all where she said it was and I requested to file a complaint they said they could but refused to give the receptionists name then said someone would call me within the week 2 weeks later not one call. Its the customer service thats disgusting people are already struggling with keeping a job with this covid season and they clearly arent having a great day if they have to call a tow truck company I feel like these people go out of their way to be rude short and nasty and for what it benefits them not one bit.
Went there to get my car only to find out that no manager was available, the lady at the front desk was constantly cutting me off and being rude. She kept rolling her eyes at me telling me she couldn’t do anything to help me get my car back . This place deserves to be torn down .
What a scam. Preying on peoples usually honest mistakes for $200. This type of stuff should be shut down.
Sad that you even have to give 1 star. Pathetic. Drivers are terrible. He ruined my driveway and dropped my friends car in the middle of the road. Couldn’t even hook up a car correctly. Terrible customer service in and outside of office. Owner says we can go get debit cards and licenses out of her car without and appointment but we would have to go back to get the rest of her stuff?! Like what?! We would literally be standing right there already why can’t we clean out the car. I’m highly displeased with every aspect of this company. It’s no wonder the worst bank known to man (American credit acceptance) works with the absolute WORST towing company in NC. If you ever get towed or repoed by this place I’ll pray for you because you’ll need it. If you’re car or property isn’t ruined because of this company I would be absolutely surprised.
If I could give them NO STARS I would’ my neighborhood recently signed a contract with them and we was told TOWING would be active in about a 1 week or so due to Everyone Needing “STICKERS FOR WINDSHIELD” instead of this tow company waiting until the Date of which it’s enforced they decided to take matter into their own hands and TOW our cars WITHOUT contact of my Leasing Office, we all paid $200 Plus to get our cars back WHICH WE ARE STILL trying to get BACK, being that they towed our cars BEFORE the date of enforcement, PLEASE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN !!!
The two guys that helped us out today we’re super nice. My husband got this car stuck in mud so it was a pretty messy situation but the guys were super friendly, helpful and got it out.
I locked my keys in my car and Fraiser came and in a very timely manner and unlocked my car in no time!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!! Thank you all so much for your service!
I feel that the place is very un organized. They have departments that open at 9, and close at 3. That department dont open on weekends,so they charge you those two days even though you came in on Saturday to get your car. I feel that this place should be investigated
Very helpful and informative in walking me through the steps needed to have access to my car
My car was stolen and when found Mr. D. Came and got it. I cant say enough wonderful things about him. I always felt like towing was the biggest racquet ever...well not with this company. Thank you again.
This company doesn’t deserve a single star. Towing a car during a pandemic is highly unethical. Not only was my car towed while I slept in bed at 3 in the morning, ensuring I had no way to stop it - but I was charged $200. Funny how it’s only the second day of the new year and they’re out patrolling lots, racking up victims. 2020 was a large enough pill to swallow and when I thought I had gotten it down, THIS was placed in front of me. In some instances, humanity should prevail. Your heart should find a way to burst through your darkened policies and/or rules and try a dose of empathy. That isn’t what this company is about, even during these uncertain times. I received not a bit of concern. I know there’s a job to be done, but the iciness displayed today was so unnecessary. These are cold people, cloaked in malice. My car was pushed between many others, carelessly nudged in. We had to check for damages. Their place looks like a junkyard. If the owners are reading this, I hope that you do better.
Worst and sorriest excuse for a “company” ever. Predatory and unethical practices. Don’t know how these people sleep at night.
Unlawful towing/scam artists at their finest. DO NOT use or trust anyone with this brand on it. Call the police.
I would leave 0 stars if I could. Called and called and texted without telling who they were or why they were calling. Showed up and surrounded with NO MASKS on. 5 people and not 1 mask. Didn’t tell how much owed for the car or how many months missed. We’re in a year long pandemic due to the fact that people aren’t wearing their masks and getting people sick. It’s really gross that 5 of your workers got all up in someone’s personal space during a PANDEMIC with NO mask on. Outside or not, there was no social distancing. Also took the car keys with absolutely no right or reason? So unprofessional, it’s embarrassing
I understand why they have 1.7 star review. The customer service representative, or lack there of, was very unprofessional and refused to answer a simple ququestion.
They literally towed my car from a handicap spot with my handicap placard clearly up and then still made me pay to get it back even after I showed them it was up.
Not even 30 minutes i bet after 12am you guys towed my car from my apartments (Pines of Ashton)parking lot. I had my visitors pass in the window as well. SMH
Liars and thieves...they are dishonest in their practices, and I am filing a police report as we speak. Booted one of my vehicles because they claimed we were contractors. I paid the bill, expecting to call the office and come to a fair resolution. They would not have any of it. They are in for a quota, and practicing illegally.
Last night #6 was driving around the community with no headlights, towing cars from visitors parking spaces. He went from one parking lot to the next doing the same thing, but the residents werent having it. The police came and made him put the car right back!
Overall I got my car and nothing was damaged or stolen. It was a pretty easy in and out to the tube of 125$. What causes me to rate 2 stars is the fact that none of the employees were masked. The plexiglass in front of the front desk, OK, some effort but there is a giant slot at the bottom to transfer documents and airborne viruses. More frustratingly a gentleman who worked there walked into the front of the office where I was standing with no mask. He helped me get someone to move the cars blocking mine, I appreciate that, but wear some kind of face covering at least when interacting with customers. I understand I was towed because I parked illegally. The apartment complex did not use the most clear wording, thats my bad. But during a pandemic please make an effort to make others safe.
These people gave me the wrong information of when to pick up my possessions and when I called to pick them up, I was told they threw away all of my things!!! I am so furious and torn right now. That was all I had....
Very rude . They damaged my car and wont pay for it to be fixed
Location is a mess. Not sure how they find anything.
TERRIBLE. unprofessional. no masks. rude. absolutely terrible and embarrassing for yall.
They deserve a negative 10 rating. No use of mask (it shouldn’t matter if there is a plastic shield, most companies use multiple points of protection) unprofessional and rude. Tried to have a civil conversation / small talk about about my apartment complex issue on towing a car that was IN VISITOR PARKING and he would not listen and only made rude remarks. I asked to speak to another worker and he lied saying that he was the only person in the office when I witness another worker leaving the building after I left. They can at least hire nicer employees for a front desk position.
There is no such thing as a good experience esp when your car gets towed...but....they misplaced my daughter car seat, and my husband work item, and I had money taken from me. Only got the car seat and my husband work stuff back. The ladies at the front desk was very nice though. Sucks to have your car towed in the middle of a pandemic but, glad to have it back.
Very helpful and polite
Miss represented services and gave us the runaround so we had to call a different towing company to retrieve it. Not to mention they caused further damage to the vehicle..
I honestly wish there was a way I could give 0 stars because of how absurd my experience was. I was at my friends apartment complex and LEGALLY parked in a visitors spot that (and the sign is faded, I will admit, but regardless, it is still a visitor spot) said VISITOR parking spot. They towed my car because the guy didnt see that it said it was a visitor spot and ASSUMED that it was a resident parking spot. Then on top of that after having to go out of my way to pick up my car AND pay $200 to get my car back, their manager isnt even available for phone calls on the weekends. I am absolutely furious with this experience and I shouldnt even have to be writing this review. This is completely unprofessional and uncalled for. I have never experienced anything like this. My car was towed and I lost $200 because of someone who doesnt have vision as clear as mine. I will absolutely be getting my money back. The fact that I have to inconvenience myself to even argue with the manager about getting a refund is infuriating. These people will do anything for a quick buck, but it sure as hell wont be coming out of my pocket. Absolutely useless excuse for a towing company. I hope to God they shut this place down.
Great service!
I call this towing service to ask them to tow people who are illegally parked in handicapped spots, since it is a problem at my apartment complex. Instead, they tow me, who has a handicap placard that is mine and was properly displayed under my mirror. Very unprofessional and it is bizarre how they are allowed to do this.
Towed away my legally parked car from front on my apartment and charged for their wrongful towing.
Horrible. Towed my car because the visitor parking wasn’t “clear enough”. Paid to get my car back and had to wait 20 minutes for anybody to come get it. I’d give 0 stars if I could. Just terrible.
Tiny office with rude ladies at the front. The tow fellas are very cool though. They should all switch places.
My girlfriends car was parked in my apartment complex for less than 3 hours before being towed. It wasnt even in a reserved spot. The company is a joke that utilizes predatory business practices. The lot looks like a junkyard, and they require you to wear a mask to enter the building while they dont wear a mask themselves. Whats the point?Do better.
Management has no ethics / I respect to people and liersBad peopleThey damaged my carNeeds to be sued for how they do dirty jobs
Okay but Why they have to be so rude through the phone?😐
Predatory towing service. They towed the car of a visitor I had to my place for under an hour. $200 by midnight. Workers are rude and they deface your vehicle with adhesive stickers that are meant to be difficult to remove.
They towed a college students car outside of University towers at in a visitors spot at 10:00pm. I parked in the visitors spot at UT (Where my GF stays) so that I could get some office supplies at CVS. I was gone 10 min and come back out and see them towing my car. It cost me $200 and a ride from a friend to get my car back at 11:00 PM. I am aware that signs were up to register at UT, which I have before, but there is no reason to tow a car at 10 pm when there is no one else in the parking lot. UT should be ashamed of themselves for hiring a company like this. Forcing a college student to pay $200 dollars because they made a mistake that harms no one else is criminal. I dont understand how a private company can just take your vehicle away.
Towed me in my own parking spot at my apartment complex scratched my BRAND NEW Denali bumper.
They kidnap cars and hold them for ransomIt should be illegalTow companies literally steal peoples carsEspecially in the neighborhood I live in with 130 apartments and 15 visitor parking spotsThey come all times of the day have no respect for people struggling and not being knowledgeable of the policy in the complex
I cant be mad at the company for doing their job (especially since I accidently parked in a non-visitor spot, oops). I called after hours and they were nice, answered my questions and recommended coming between 8 AM - 5 PM so it would be cheaper. When I went to go pick up my car, the staff was friendly and professional! I was in and out in less than 5 minutes.
My complex has been overridden with vehicles from the neighboring night club and after calling them about this problem they refuse to do anything absolute garbage survive and they refuse to do their job
Thought you had to be parked for more than hour before you can get towed. This is a predatory towing company. They satellite tow low income neighborhoods during a pandemic. Real classy.
I walked in and was asked if I had an appointment. I told the lady (Jaimie) yes. All she did was point to another associate a few feet away from her. Without saying a word. I asked her what? Am i supposed to go to her.) She responded with a yes. I was already stressed that my car was towed, I didnt need anymore stress. I walked in front of the next associate Shay and she was way more helpful. She was very patient with me. Another gentlemen that assisted me was very helpful. He goes by no name man haha No seriously. But other than my car getting towed, some of the associates at this establishment were great.
Ok these people are not animals they really do understand situations. And on top of that as long as come correct and humble they are willing to help you out. Got to say some of the best people have met in a long time thank you so much shay and others yall are really a blessing
They were very helpful with my car! The employees were not rude and my car was in great condition! They pumped up my tire and were very nice to me.
After towing my rental car, they tried to force me to catch an uber during a pandemic to avoid an additional after hours charge that automatically happens at 5. This would have been fine except I was told this at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon. Everybody in Raleigh knows the condition of the roads at that time in this city! The place is alread a 20-25 min drive away at an optimal time. It would have been a $57 Uber!!!!! When I got there... NO COVID PROTOCOL WAS IN PLACE. The place was dimmly lit like a cheap bar in a Western movie. This Dodge City Saloon was so dark I didnt notice the very fine print that omits half of the General Assembly wording.... I didnt know I could contest the tow on the grounds that I was towed more than 15 miles from my house!!!! Upon recovery of the vehicle I noticed damage around the grill of the car. I had to pay them for breaking the law, concealing my rights, putting my health at risk in that disgusting junkyard doghouse, and their damage.
Moved into a new apartment complex on 7/31. Was busy moving things into the new place, going back and forth, unpacking, cleaning up, and getting settled. With that being said, the parking sticker was the LAST thing on my mind. Not to mention, our leasing manager never told us how serious they are when it comes to towing, nor did she tell us there’s specific parking for residents and visitors. Not 24 hours later, 8/1, my car got towed. They said they thoroughly walk around, car to car, to see who doesn’t have a sticker on their car. However, my fiancé hadn’t put his parking sticker on his car either. Yet I was the one that got towed. When I go up there to confront them about that, he comes out with all of these excuses saying that person could’ve been getting off shift, had to go to a car accident, etc. However, he specifically told me that’s how they “make their money”, is towing cars. But if they walked around so “thoroughly” like he claimed, my fiancé’s car would’ve been towed as well. 100% unfair. 100% unprofessional. Didn’t have any answers for me on why my car was the only car that was towed, when I saw multiple other cars with no stickers for parking. But being that there’s 478 reviews, with only 1.7 stars, shows how poor quality this place is.We all know the reviews more than 1 star, are family members or friends of the people who work there..Stop embarrassing yourselves.☹️
My vehicle was towed from its registered parking space in broad daylight from my home because the truck driver decided it looked like it was “non-operating”, according to the receptionist.I hadn’t even been home (MY home) but a couple hours. I asked if I could come get it back after explaining and was told “it’s still $200 still but you can talk to management in the morning”.Excited to hear what new or secondary reason they cite when I go to do that, and inevitably drive it right off the lot but for now I’m a carless, asthmatic worker during a lung disease pandemic.
They towed my Door-Dash driver 😂. I encouraged him to call the police but he wouldnt. If a town vehicle was making a delivery and got towed, there would be no questions asked. They patrol low income housing for ransom victims literally constantly. Thats all they do. If you live somewhere like Westchester apartments like I do and visit there for any reason, keep in mind that the other tenants park in the only 2 visitor parking areas, so its best to park 5 miles away on public property and walk. Particularly if you are elderly or have any special situation where important health tools are in your vehicle and you dont have much money, because these people care less than you might imagine. The business model is designed around stalking and predation. They form symbiotic relationships with predatory low income housing providers who have fewer parking spaces than they do tenants with vehicles and bask in the food they are able to pry from the mouths of your children.
First I would like to say that these ladies made the process very easy. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about everything. Secondly, they took the time to patiently help us to locate our vehicle. We were already on edge as it had been stolen and we did not know what to expect. Finally we were treated with a courtesy that a lot of other businesses out there could learn more about. You hear stories about tow companies being terrible, but theses folks are not. I would like to single out Shay, Ashley, Jeanie, Nicole and Lauren. I worked with them either on the phone or in person and anyone of them will be able to help you out.
Son just got towed because he was back at his apartment (he does not have a car nor an assigned spot) picking up stuff because school is closed for virus pandemic and got towed. Only three cars in lot and NC State is shut down. Why not make it a daily double and sell overpriced hand sanitizer while you are at it.
Poor business model. They charge $167 for initial tow then have a daily rate for how many days your vehicle is with them. So it makes sense that they keep their phone off and have no one at their location to complete the transaction. Youre left waiting hours for them to return if you are lucky. Not to mention the tow yard is very hard to locate and the sign is almost invisible. Good job! Do not park on Atkinson! Park either at alamoana or walk. Not worth the trouble.
My daughters vehicle was repossessed and the repossession company would not allow my wife to pick up the vehicle even after the debt was paidOn Friday, July 26 2019 at approximately 6:30 am my daughters car was repossessed. Later that evening the debt was paid and current with the financial institution. My wife then called Unlimited Recovery in Raleigh, NC to inquire about picking up the vehicle. My wife was told that the repossession department was closed and she would have to wait until the following Monday. On the morning of Monday, July 29 2019 my wife went to Unlimited Recovery in Raleigh, NC to retrieve the vehicle only to be told by the staff that the repossession department was closed and she would have to call later to make an appointment. The employee she spoke to was extremely rude and no concern at all to help her. My wife then asked to speak with a manager of the business. The manger was also extremely rude and had no desire to help reconcile the situation. With having no other options my wife contacted the local law enforcement agency. Upon speaking with the office she was advised that this was a civil matter and not criminal.I have many issues with the service provided or should I say not provided. First at no time prior to Monday, July 29 2019 was my wife told that she need to call and make an appointment to pick up the vehicle. Next there were no hours displayed neither at the business location nor the business website for the the operation of the repossession department. And lastly the nasty attitudes of the employees including management were just absurd, uncalled for and just down right unprofessional. In conclusion I am aware that the reason for the vehicle repossession is not a problem of theirs but in saying that, not having some one working in the repossession department on the day that my wife came to retrieve the vehicle is not our problem. I dont understand how a repossession company can hold a vehicle that now is not legally theirs to hold. And the attitudes with the unwillingness to help resolve the issue is just bad business. This company needs to be investigated for their piss poor business. I am now contemplating a civil suit against them. I will definitely advise anyone to stay away from this business at all cost.
This company is terrible and unprofessional. DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I hope no ones car is towed from this company. The employees and manger of this company try to hide their wrong doings. They let people steal items out of your car, let people drive your car without permission, break items and etc inside your car, and throw your belongings around in your car. Where they do that at? What kind of company let’s this happen? I wouldn’t give them any stars not EVEN 1. They only got a star because it had to be a star to review.
Deliberately towed my husbands vehicle even being told NOT TO. Then brought it back with scratches and damages.
Funny how these guys only snach my car on the weekends.
Absolutely horrible and disturbing experience. I parked in a lot that was “assigned” to the bakery I was going into. I ended up also quickly going into another shop 3 doors down. I got back to my car in less than 15 minutes and it was booted. The cost - $150. What’s even worse is the guy followed me to see what shops I went into. When I confronted him about it, he admitted to it and said it wasn’t illegal because we were in a public place. I called their office and asked to speak with a supervisor because I was so upset and disturbed by the incident - It really made me feel unsafe and violated. The woman who answered told me I needed to calm down and hung up on me. I’m disgusted and horrified that they would use such tactics just to make money.
Currently double parked in my apartment complex with limited parking. Also these guys walk around shining flashlights in cars at all hours of the night.
Extremely unhelpful both on the phone and in person after they put a device on my car and I tried to return it to them. The associate at their front desk actually said the words, its not my problem.
Has 2 loud tow trucks driving around or apartment complex at 1am in the morning. I dont care what your job is...driving around waking people up in the middle of the night is absolutely unacceptable
Had my car booted despite being parked in a spot marked for the business I was at. The man I spoke with was extremely rude, and did not want to listen to me. He said he had photos of me attending another business nearby, which was simply untrue. My boot was released after I threatened to call Raleigh police to settle this.
This is by-far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I dealt with with daytime shift and overnight. They were disgustingly rude. I later spoke with a female manager and if that’s who their leader is then I can understand the lack of professionalism and inability to provide quality service. I entered the establishment and was not even greeted. I understand that they are often negatively approached due to the industry but there is no excuse either way a service is provide and customer service is a part of that. Today, when humans are already stretched financially, if you’re towing their car at their expense, the least you could do is be kind. It costs nothing. How disgusting of a company to be so unkind
The owner is a sum bag place should be closed
Very helpful when I wrecked my car. They were informative on how to gather my belongings and quick to gather my vehicle from the accident scene. And even though my vehicle was totaled they treated it with respect and didnt just throw it in the yard. They also worked great with my insurance to get it where it needed to go and on releasing it
A HUGE scam!! They will never admit their wrong doing. They have little “stalkers” that follow you around and claim to take photos of you that you are not allowed to see. Then they tow you and charge outrageous prices. I’m shocked they haven’t gone under. People need to learn to make an HONEST living instead of charging poor college students insane prices because they parked in their apartment building’s parking lot.
Absolutely awful customer service. They damaged my yard/curb with their recovery servicesand didnt care they did so.Conveniently closed on Memorial Day and the department we needed to speak to is on a delayed opening until noon the next day. Would not let us into the car to get any belongings, stranding our guests (with two toddlers, mind you) with no change of clothes, no medicines, etc. While I understand you have a job to do, you could at least have some compassion for a family with children.
BUSINESS OWNERS!On their site they say Unlimited Recovery demonstrates fair and equitable handling of parking violators, without the price gouging or unethical treatment. This is simply not true. No matter how they try to spin it or sell it to you, hiring them will lose you loyal customers. Ive heard countless stories about their predatory tactics, and experienced it myself. Recently I went to a store I used to frequent. I parked in a space designated for that business. They claim they were justified in booting my car because their henchman followed me and watched me walk into a business next door. Yes I stepped off of the property. TO PLACE A TO GO ORDER. I proceeded to the store I had originally intended to go to, made my purchase, and grabbed my food TO GO. 15 minute trip, or it should have been. I returned to my vehicle, receipts in hand, to find a boot. The lot monitor approached me while I was calling. The lady on the phone refused to help. The kid, credit card reader ready, said he followed me and watched me go into the, what I now consider a trap, restaurant next door. Instead of informing me Im not allowed to support a neighboring business while parked there, he promptly booted my vehicle. Obviously I was upset seeing as how I had proof that I was in fact a customer of one of the four businesses listed. They used my distress to extort $150 from me. Another phone call didnt help, management has terrible attitudes towards their victims. I would not be so furious if I felt I was being unreasonable. I didnt even cross the street. There were several empty spots upon my arrival and more when I left. I did not cause anyone to lose customers. I was a customer. So why couldnt they even explain to me what I had done wrong? Needless to say I will not be a returning customer. Ive spent quite a bit of money supporting this business over the past few years, Im very disappointed they were not helpful and seem to be in cahoots with these thieves.
