Great place to get a haircut! Clean, and set up like a comfortable man-space. Great coffee while you wait and TVs at every station. Service was good and cut was just what I needed.

A decent haircut but I’ve never had anyone that can trim a beard properly. They way over landscape a beard and has it looking incredibly unnatural to your facial structure and cheek bones. Trimmers are always dull and leave your neck razor burnt like crazy. It’s a decent enough place for a hair cut if you’re in a bind but tell them to stay away from your facial hair, neck, and eyebrows.

Great staff, great haircuts. They really take care of you. Sometimes I wish they would slow down just a bit because it feels like its rushed but with the amount of people they tend to serve, its understandable

These folks are completely unprofessional, I called ahead got an appointment for 6.20pm and said this was my first time and really anyone available at the time was fine as this was my first time there arrived 10 mins earlier, there was no one at the counter after about 5 mins of hanging there a lady showed up asked what my name was and just stated you are early and hurried back. I took a seat and waited in the meantime three other customers showed up and were ushered in looks like they were regulars and got preferential treatment. now a lady shows up with her son says she doesnt have an appointment and gets ushered in also. Its now 10 minutes past my appointment time and I ask one of the women who seemed to be in charge she says i am the next one i keep waiting and another customer comes in says I am Richard and have an appointment at 6:30 she says are you looking for anyone specific and he says no and is ushered in right away. I walked out !!!! funny they have a sign saying franchises available I guess they want to franchise their unprofessional behavior which was top notch

I had never been here before I just moved to the area from out of state. I just wanted something new and different and stumbled on this place and man what a find. Amira did my haircut and she took what I asked and ran with it looks way better than I even thought it could and was extremely nice and pleasant. I love the atmosphere and feel of this place!!

I’ve been coming to Guys Place on Creedmoor for years now and love it! Makes my day knowing I’m going to get a haircut here and the feeling I get leaving. My barber is Nita, I request her every time and I’ve never been disappointed. Her years of hair cutting experience is easily recognized. Ive also referred 2 friends and they still request her amazing skills.

Was referred here a couple years ago and it’s been my favorite place in Raleigh for a quality cut every time. Nita is my go to and she knows how to do a quick fade so I’m in and out before I know it. Highly recommend.

Id highly recommend you ask for Nita if your looking for a fresh cut. Ive been getting hair cuts from her for a very long time. Shes friendly, attentive to her customers needs and leaves you with a clean cut so that youre looking extra fresh for that night out :)

Please help me understand how speaking to a manager could have resolved a bad haircut and explained poor customer service. The hair cant be glued back on! I have no doubt the stylists are technically sound. That doesnt mean they listen to the customer or provide a great experience or the kind of haircut that is requested. Hey, there are countless more customers for you - Im sure theyll have different experiences and some of them will be quite pleased with their cuts.I used my full name in my review, and I gave it when I got my cut. Instead of responding on social media and blaming me for stating my honest opinion, how about directly contacting me to ask for details to understand what you and your staff can do to improve for the future? THAT would be great customer service, motivated leadership, and a sign of understanding that there is always room to get better.

Dear Mr GuyI came by your place today bury I guess you were at another location. I was looking shabby so I remembered hearing about you place. So I walked into a pretty cool little chill spot. You had the tv on ESPN and a little drink station. I spoke with you receptionist ands she told me it was a short wait and to feel free to grad a nice leather lounger and a handful of peanuts and she would be with me soon. It wasn’t really that crowded and the wait was just long enough for me to want to watch more sport center as my name was called and I was escorted back like I was a rock star. When I sat in the chair I was shocked to see you installed TVs in the booths so I could continue my sports center as the person chopped on my head. She gave me a great cut then brought in a hot towel for my face as she washed my hair with tea tree shampoo. Way to go with that tea tree, it feels amazing as she messaged my scalp while the towel felt great on my face. I felt like Mcjagger. After what felt like the best shampoo of my life she then broke out the razor and started trimming up my beard. This must be what it feels like to be in commercials having someone make you pretty. You trained this girl right. She had me on point. I wish I had brought a. Stick to fight the women off me when I leave because I was looking like Freddy Mercury in the 70s. Then when I thought I had to go and the pampering was over she brakes out this machine she places on her hand looking Louie a female iron women and starts to message my shoulders. Damn son. You thought of everything. I bet elvis never had a haircut this good. I would say my friend that I will be back. That was such a good time I night just throw on a wig just to have more hair to cut sooner. Thanks again Guy. Hope your their next time so I can shake your hand in person.P.S have you thought about adding a pool table??

Nice place to go and follows Covid guidelines to keep customers safe. Nice place for a haircut as they are very punctual with appointments.

Good haircut and beard trim. The massage of the neck/shoulders was a bit disappointing. I didnt set a timer or count, but I dont think it was more than 30 seconds.Cool enough vibes and more intimate setting than the national cheap haircut chains.

I would like to give Nita in particular a shout out. She is a very good hairdresser and would highly recommend her! I always look forward to going in to see her.

I’ve been going to The Guys place for about 5 years now and I love it. The staff is always friendly, the prices are fair and I always end up leaving looking better than I did when I walked in. Make sure you ask for the neck shave if you’re likely to get a fade style cut.

I’ve always enjoyed my experience at ever Guy’s place I’ve ever been to actually. Kristen, at this location, was the best I’ve ever had at ANY hair place period. Great environment, clean, and their attention to detail is awesome in and outside of a pandemic. This spot has been consistent throughout. Friendliness and cleanliness is great, but the quality of the cut is why you come and more importantly why you come back!

When I moved to Raleigh four years ago I tried out many salons, Arrow, Alter Ego, Lather, and other high end spots looking for a great stylist and wasnt finding what I was looking for. Then I tried The Guys Place in Stonehenge Market off of Creedmoor Rd. and met Kristen and she has been my cutting my hair ever since. She is a fantastic stylist, patient, professional, with great attention to detail. She is a master of any style, great consultant, and you wont get a better fade anywhere around. I wont go anywhere else now!

A guys place is the only place I go to get my haircut. I’ve had several different stylists every time I’ve gone in and they are all great!

Even with the new restrictions in place, they run a good, clean business. Make sure to make an appointment before just walking in since its hard to tell the volume of customers they will have at any time. The people are friendly and they each have good, strong skills. My only downside is no hot towel right now with having to wear a mask the entire time.

Kristen has been cutting my hair and my sons hair for years. The shop is great. Always clean and the staff is always friendly. And I couldnt recommend Kristen any more highly. Shes great with kids and does a great mens cut.

If you need someone to cut your hair, I highly suggest going to see Amira! I’m new to the area and very particular about who cuts my hair, and I have never been more impressed them I am with her skills. I have sent all of my friends to her and every one of them are ecstatic when they leave. There is no one better than Amira!

My hairstylist Nadia is awesome. Unlike other stylist who might try to rush you out of their chair, Nadia takes her time to make sure its done right the first time. Very meticulous, professional and sweet. I highly recommend her.

Been using this place since it first opened...My biggest issue is the decline in customer service. Employees seem to have attitudes when i call to make an appointment. The attitudes dont improve much once i go inside. Not big on public shaming of companies, but this place needs a fix. In addition, prices are constantly increasing with a decline in good haircuts. Unfortunately, i called and cancelled my appointment today. Moving on to something different....

Update 10/6/2020I came back to see if the next attempt would go better. The service was decent, the haircut was good and my stylist was very courteous and professional. I dont want to only post complaints, I would consider this a positive experience.Original Review 9/29/2020 2 StarsSo I unfortunately can not review the quality of the haircuts here, my experience didnt make it past the unfriendly receptionist. I was able to schedule an appointment then adjust the time, at least I think so. The stiff, unhappy sounding young lady gave me a noon time and told me she would move me, but then she hung up before I could clarify.When I arrived at noon I waited in my car for a phone call to come inside which they did at Cary so I assumed it was standard with covid. After no call I came inside 3 minutes after my scheduled appointment and spoke with the receptionist. She told me I was over half an hour late and while she admitted we spoke on the phone she denied ever having moved my appointment to noon. She made sure to emphasize she made no mistakes rather than doing anything helpful. After a few minutes of arguing she told me that she could figure something out (am I really that inconvenient?) but honestly after an absolute lack of professional courtesy, let alone friendliness I did not want to be around her, or do business at the store. I would consider her lack of service a problem if it costs business, but Im no expert. Its a longer drive but Ill go to the Cary location just to not have to deal with her.

This is not a guys place, it’s a great clips with a fancy name. Haircut was a 4/10 and the staff was a 3/10. Don’t waste your money.

Ive been getting my haircuts here for a while. Kristen always does a great job. She is professional, personable, and fun to talk to.

I go to Nadia every time. If you want a fade, Nadia is your gal. I know a lot of guys dont trust women to be able to cut there hair or to do a good fade and I confess, I have had my fair share of poor haircuts/fades from these types of places but Nadia has cut my hair at least 5 times now. I get a medium high fade and shaved at the bottom and Nadia has not failed me yet!

Just got a haircut today and unfortunately forgot the young ladies name but as usual the haircut was great. I have been coming to the guys place for a few years now and frankly dont want to go anywhere else. I usually forget to ask for a particular stylist but everyone I have had has been terrific. The service and amenities are wonderful. Its nice to be able to go to a place and know the service and results are always going to be top notch. Have a Happy New Year!!

A second visit and a much better experience, so an updated review for this visit is in order. Made an appointment for myself and son, and like the first time, it worked out great. If youre on time, your appointment is honored on time. But if you have to wait as a walk-in, its plenty comfortable with nice chairs, peanuts, TV and reading material.My stylist, Esther, was welcoming and conversational, yet I could tell she was always focused on doing a great job on the haircut. And it turned out great. The shampoo and hot towel, which are included in the price, is very relaxing and great to have after the haircut. The price is worth the extra services and quality that are provided. In reading other comments, I also really like that the owner emphasizes that recent price increases have allowed them to pay and retain good talent, which I absolutely support. Its great to know that the stylists pay is a consideration, and Im happy patronize a place that supports good pay for its employees, as the price pressure for this line of business is highly competitive.

I have used Esther for a few years now. She does a great job and never rushes. Do yourself a favor, call ahead and get on her schedule. No matter how busy the shop is, her primary focus is the client in her seat. I would highly recommend her.

It deserves credit for being clean and organized. But the whole reason of a barbershop is to get a quality hair cut, which is not what they provide. I insisted on showing a picture on how my hair should look like and the lady told me not to worry. I explained exactly what I wanted and I did not get even close to what I would normally get (low-mid fade, trim the top a little bit). She proceeds to leave me with the start to a mohawk and doesn’t even fade my hair, even though her words were “I am very meticulous with my fades”. I would not recommend this place to people who truly care about their hair and professional appearance.

Reasonable price for a decent cut. The hair wash, hot towel, and brief shoulder massage are nice touches. Its very easy to get an appointment, and Ive been able to call ahead for an appointment 15 minutes later on several occasions. I get a pretty basic typical-guy cut, so I cant comment about the skill level of the staff, but Ive never had a bad experience there and I generally consider it a step up from a Great Clips or SportsClips.

I brought my son in here today. I asked if there was someone who knew how to cut his African American type of hair. The receptionist said yesssss with such excitement.My son did get a great hair cut. He was so happy sharing with me, how his hair was cut well .I believe her name was Erica. She gave my son the works. He felt so much more confident going to work today. He really appreciated the way his stylist was attentive to his head, and giving him great tips about maintaining his haircut.The Vibe in there was so positive. It really, really was.

Great place to get a haircut. Brittany is really cool and she’s one of my favorite stylists. She and I share the love for rock and metal music. We always share conversations about rock and metal bands while she cuts my hair. I always get my hair cut the same way and she never fails to meet the requirements.

I have gone to this Guys Place a number of times now and had my hair cut by several different stylists with pretty good results. The last two times; however, Amira has cut my hair and she is great! She is very nice and does a very good job...shes my go-to stylist now!!

This is the best haircut experience for the money. I love the peanuts. I recommend trying several people until you find the one that you like the most and then pre-schedule you next appointment after you get you hair cut each time.

The concept of this place is great but the practical use of it isnt. Its usually hard to walk in and be seen, you have to book in advance. The tv idea is nice but there isnt a lot to choose from or its hard to hear or follow. Id have a better time if I could play a retro video game. The haircuts are well done but expensive.

This is my favorite place to get my haircut it cost about $30 to get my hair and beard trimmed. They also have great beard and hair products priced very reasonably I recommend trying the beard oil and the tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Management is always helpful and friendly you can pretty much schedule an appointment whenever you need or just walk in they have TVs at every booth and you can change the channel to whatever you want to watch. However the staff always have friendly conversations with you as well

This is a better place than most in regards to professionalism and quality. It is always best to schedule an appointment however walk-ins are welcome. I go in and get a different hair dresser each time, consistency across the board. With a TV in each booth and friendly staff the trip is easy going.

Been going here for a little while now. First few ladies that had done my hair did not present good personalities. Try talking too them and barely got one worded answers. Finally found one that was nice and could hold a conversation.Unfortunately she canceled 3 appointments on me in a row within a 2 week span. Thought i could have a regular hair cut lady but this place seems a bit unreliable.I must say, the place is well kept and i liked the extra attention of hair wash, warm rag, and option for some gel hold if need be.All the ladies do a good job with hair itself.

I havent even been to this place but I called to schedule a haircut and the girl who answered the phone was so short and terse with me I couldnt imagine what it would be like going there. Your a professional service industry...act like one when someone calls you. I will move on.
