First experience here and it was excellent! Krystal did an awesome job in understanding how I liked my hair cut, and offered some suggestions while checking in to be sure we were on the same page. About half way into the cut, I decided to make future appointments with her.Krystal gets bonus points for using a straight razor on the back and lines vs just clippers as most places do. Very polite conversation as well. She described other services available, but it didnt feel like a sales pitch. It was a hey, see whats going on with that guy? If that ever interests you, we can set that up some time.The shop is very clean and has a modern meets old school barber shop vibe to it. Lot of fun energy going on, but you didnt feel like it was over the top. Very good drink selection too.

First time coming here . I truly love this place!!! I have been using their hair products since 2017. Wasn’t aware that their flagship barber was located here in North Carolina. I was so excited to come in and have a professional cut/style my hair. This barber is super upscale and has a very chill vibe . They even offer complimentary drinks ! I had a beard trim/condition done by Sheleen today and I was absolutely blown away. The shop is great, all the employees create a wonderful atmosphere, and Sheleen did an AMAZING job with my beard. As someone that has had horrible experiences before with having my beard trimmed by inexperienced people I can tell anyone that they can trust Sheleen without hesitation. She listened to my wants, concerns, and questions and not only delivered but helped me understand how to better achieve the look I want. Wonderful experience!

I scheduled an appointment at Mister Pompadour for the first time for the Friday before Valentine’s weekend, which was fast and easy to do online. The shop location was super easy to get into and out of with plenty of parking besides being a really cool spot. I arrived 10 minutes early, which was well appreciated by the owner who offered complimentary refreshments (Coffee, soda, beer, etc.). It’s a relatively small place but laid out to feel pretty open. I expected the shop to be hectic and busy, but it was more like a well-managed machine. Classic rock played over speakers, but it wasn’t loud enough to drown out the buzz of clippers and conversation. Everyone was upbeat and in a great mood. Stephan was ready for my appointment almost as soon as I got there. I’ve never been to an upscale barber before, and I have never really been one to style my hair, but my girlfriend was pretty insistent to see something special for Valentine’s day. I gave Stephan a terrible non-description of what I thought I wanted, and he immediately went to work. He refused to face me towards a mirror until he was done, and I was happy to play along. The cut seemed to go quick, as we chatted about sports and good shows. I was incredibly happy with the result. I couldn’t stop smiling, and my girlfriend loves it. I’m not sure I can go back to Great Clips now. It might be Mister Pompadour or nothing else.

Mister Pompadour is a fantastic barber lounge. Living in Philly for 10 years, I had my pick of fine barbershops, and living in Raleigh for a little over year now, I finally found an establishment that goes toe-to-toe with any former barber lounge I had used in Philly. The atmosphere is fresh and welcoming (from all the staff members) and you are greeted with a beverage, if you choose, while you wait/ for sitting in the chair. The lounge has an upscale vibe but the atmosphere immediately makes you feel like you are going to receive a perfectly crafted cut, which is exactly what happens. I highly recommend Chris, Slim. Not only was he meticulous in every aspect of the craft (hair and beard), highly knowledgeable, but the conversation is always flowing and top notch. Slim/ Mister Pompadour was trusted choice to craft my hair for my wedding two months ago. Do yourself a favor and go check this lounge out, as this is an experience, and not your everyday cut.

The staff was extremely friendly, with an upbeat vibe that made everyone smile. I love this shop! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. I’m greeted when I arrive, offered an adult beverage or coffee and wait in their beautiful and comfortable setting. Appointments are right on time or early. Stephen Smith cuts my hair and I love what he’s done with it. I also love their hair products. My personal favorite is Fireball Pomade. The Natural Beeswax Paste is great, too. Stephen is friendly and I enjoy talking with him about what’s going on in our lives. There are cool restaurants and breweries steps away, too. Great location! I took my son for his first haircut. I appreciate the atmosphere. It is very welcoming, clean and inviting. As a woman, I didn’t feel that I was going to be harassed. It was nice to see another woman working there as well. Aaron cut my son’s hair and he was patient and he did a great job. In my opinion, it’s more expensive than what you would typically pay for a kids cut but the I will pay the extra for the customer service and atmosphere.

Stephen cut my sons hair. I put a note when I booked it that he was Autistic and to just bare with him cause he can be a handful. Everyone was so sweet and kind to him. Stephen made sure my son was comfortable and made him look fantastic! All around it was a great experience and well worth the hour and a half drive! Ill be making the trip up again in the future. This shop is one of a kind!

Well what else could one want from a mens grooming lounge 🤔 complimentary beer upon arrival ✅ Cool atmosphere amd comfortable seating to wait for your appointment ✅ And Shelan my MASTER BARBER! 😳 showed me to her chair. The most striking thing about my first interaction with her was that she didnt just start with the usual what do you want, followed by just doing said request with no explanation. She asked me about the history of my beard,how long id had it and what I wanted to accomplish 💛 then she informed me that she was going to explain and show me how I could achieve said result. In all my just short of 40 years and many a beard trim I have never started off like this. This is the best thing that has ever happened for my beard and I lol. In any case she for am example was like no straight lines on where the beard ends and the ears up begins as it makes ot look like either my beard is glued on,or imo I was walking around looking like a guess who model and after that the conversation evolved to all kinds of diffrent things amd it was all very natural. Because she cares about her craft like I care about mine. She mentioned she did body work with her dad before arriving at the profession of being a barber. Amd if you know body work to be successful you have to be detail oriented and well apprenticed and she shines I think because of this background. In any case back to my trim. She showed me that my washing and exfoliation was good but that to get what I wanted I needed to blow dry my beard straight and needed a butter and or an oil to keep it laying flat 💯 she nailed it and Slim with his Slim at the door with his sling nailed it. Just a great experience all the way around. Pricing was 1/3 less than what Im used to for not nearly the care and attention I recieved. Great brewery across the street to show off your fresh trim as we a the Glas neon shop in the building. Ya know cuz photo shoots. Anyhow hope this helps cheers!

I recently took a friend to get his hair & beard done this place was amazing! The staff were so friendly and professional Stephen Smith was the barber who did my friends hair he went above and beyond making sure he got what was needed. I can’t recommend this shop or Slim enough. From the moment I sat down I was treated like a regular and the service was top notch. I got a head shave, beard trim, and a beard treatment. You HAVE to get the beard treatment. My beard looked and felt completely different when I left and the head shave was perfect. Slim made a regular out of me after one visit and if you’ve got a beard you want to be proud of you’ve gotta go see him. Everyone in the shop was extremely friendly and welcoming and I’ll be looking forward to my next trip.

I’ve been here twice, and while both experiences were great, today’a haircut with Sheleen @legendaryladybarber was perfection. She listened to exactly what I wanted, explained what she was doing throughout (down to rediscovering where my part should be and fixing it), and even gave me a styling tutorial afterwards. I’m very particular about my hair, and I’ve never had anyone put in this much attention or effort into educating me. I’m super happy with the cut and will absolutely be back!

Honestly Im extremely disappointed, had an appoint for a hair cut and beard trim, should have been a total of an hour, my hair cut and beard trim didnt start until around 4:10 and completed before 4:35. Came back home there was still hair on my neck. Should have noticed the barber was telling me im done before even removing the tape from around my neck, tried to be fair but I dont understand how this place has 5 starts, never again. I just believe it wasnt at level of attention to detail required especially from a place like this, felt more like going to Greal clips. Also the guy at the front desk was an absolute douche, needs to learn a thing or two about manners

Slim is a great barber and a great person! Easy to talk to, funny, and very professional. The whole place seems extremely well run and has a great atmosphere. I have had my beard trimmed there twice and won’t be going anywhere else! They also have great products (beard butter, cologne, etc.)

Brought my 5 year old son to Slim for a cut. My son typically throws truly epic freak outs when he has to get haircuts. Not this time. Slim is a miracle worker. Super professional, friendly, and knows how to put the kids at ease. He took tons of time to get acclimated with my son, give a great cut, and took breaks when necessary, including a walk to check out the neon shop around the corner, in order to keep my son calm and collected. Highly recommended!

Its been over a decade since I have been to a barber of any kind since I started shaving my head and this was my first time getting a professional beard trim. I was impressed. I also decided to cut off my beard, so I got the hot shave which was very relaxing and made my face feels great. All of the staff are professional and friendly. I was successful. So after 5 months of just growing, I decided it was time to get it trimmed. First, I wrote to the staff requesting a recommendation for a barber. I was quickly recommended to Slim and set up an appointment immediately. When I arrived, Slim was ready for the beard virgin and to make me comfortable returning after 25 years. Slim couldnt have been more helpful, friendly, and professional. He spent the first 30 mins educating me on beards and beard care. Then he began. It turned out great! I had also let what hair I had grow for several weeks just in case we wanted to do something with it. Slim listened to my thoughts and ultimately recommended that we just shave it. Not a problem. The shaved head went great with the way he had shaped my beard. I couldnt be happier with my new look. I will continue to go back to see Slim and rely on his expertise to keep me in great shape! I booked appointments here for both my husband and my 2-year-old son for the first time this week. My son’s hair in particular is the awesome shaggy, blonde, perfect little boy hair every mom wants for her son, and the $5 cuts at the cheap places just weren’t doing it right. I used to leave those places in tears his hair was always so bad. Flash forward to this week, Steve the barber did a GREAT job not only accommodating my fidgety son and patiently cutting on a moving target, but also making me one happy mama by giving my kid an awesome hair cut. Definitely recommend it. I’ve been to Arrow a bunch but will definitely be coming back here now.Milton somehow managed to salvage a good haircut after my wife and I butchered it during quarantine. Love the haircut and props to him for the recovery. Friendly guy and knows what he’s doing. I saw Aaron give a really good haircut while I was there, too.

Fantastic place and people. I was thrilled to find somewhere to take my 12 old son where he could feel like he was getting a fashionable haircut. He really loved this place - Aaron cut his hair and did an excellent job. All of the other barbers were very friendly! Highly recommend!

For my first cut since COVID, I couldnt have picked a better spot. Stopped in while working in Raleigh and got my cut from Stephen. Great conversation, attention to detail, and the whole vibe in the shop is spot on. Doesnt feel like the guys are trying too hard. Absolutely recommend.

Decided to try a new spot since my hair was in rough shape post quarantine. The lounge has an incredible vibe with tall ceilings, good music, and highly skilled barbers. Hair turned out exactly as I wanted it.Oh and bonus: you can self book online which I far prefer.

Wonderful atmosphere and really nice employees. Stephen does a wonderful cut and is precious with his beard trims. Couldn’t recommend it more. Make sure you get a cup of their coffee while you wait, it is tasty.

This place is phenomenal, cut my 3&5year old, and they took the time to make them comfortable and are detail oriented. Place has a great vibe, and beers for dad is a big plus.

This place was great with awesome vibes and a surprisingly open atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and I really liked my barber, Milton. Chill guy, gave a great cut, and asked questions and gave his thoughts along the way, which was great because I really didnt know what I wanted going into it. Overall, great cut, great atmosphere, and would definitely go back.

My son is extremely picky about his hair cuts and I needed a new barber for him. I looked at the reviews for barber shops it the area and based off the great reviews for Mr Pompadour we scheduled a haircut with Stephen. Stephen did a wonderful job and my son is thrilled with how his hair looks.

Greeted when I arrived and offered a drink... nice! My appointment was for a beard trim and treatment. Id given myself a couple of trims since the covid lockdown and wanted to get it back under control. Slim was great to work with. He was friendly, not loud, knowledgable and provided me with a few tips on self trimming and maintenance. I was surprised to hear that the hack job on did on my own beard really wasnt that bad. All in all a great experience in a very clean, professional business. I look forward to going in for the trim at which time I will have a drink!

I found Mister Pompadour when my barber that I had been going to for five years made the trransition to this wonderful establishment. With an incredibly welcoming staff, and extremely clean and professional lounge type of atmosphere, you instantly feel welcome and great about your choice. Even if Sam had not brought me here, I would instantly become a return customer based on everything that has been mentioned.
