As a small business owner, all businesses are essential. Dean’s Barbershop is essential. They are professional and they provide excellent customer service. Great service, great haircuts. Its really nice that you dont have to make appointments to get in. Im somewhat picky with haircuts, and I have never been dissatisfied with their service. They also have a 100 on the health department score, which is cool too. No complaints about this place, and would totally recommend.

My grandson was visiting me in Raleigh. And definitely needed a haircut. A friend had suggested I take my grandson to Deans barbershop. Everyone there was very gracious and kind. They did a great job on his hair he and I both were very satisfied. And it was very reasonably priced.

The barbers working at Deans really know their trade. I have never walked out with a haircut or shave I didnt love. They understand that different types of hair need to be cut differently to achieve a style, and they take your face shape into account if you ask them for their opinion. You wont get this kind of knowledge from Great Clips or other bargain barbers.

My family moved to the area about 6 months ago and I have had a hard time finding a professional barber shop. After many tries at franchises that advertised as a Barber Shop, I finally arrived at The Barber Shop on Spring Forest Rd. I found out through my barber that it is a family owned shop that has been in the barber business for over 50 years. The place had a laid back, friendly atmosphere with lots of joking around. I visit this place at least once a month with my son. they are fantastic at what they do. It is hard to find a real Barber Shop these days,especially that cut straight hair. I wear a low fade with a slight pomp at the top and they nail it every time. My son gets a high and tight and loves it when they shave his neck. They even give free cold beverages with your cut. The shop is very nice and very convenient to get in and out. Im hoping my wife buys me a gift certificate for a hot lather shave. I would love to experience that.

This place is very good. No BS good hair cut. I went to Sport clips before and it was like getting a hair cut with a pair of hedge clippers. These guys are good, quick and they wont try and upgrade you to some VIP crap.

Well worth recommending. My son and I walked in and had no wait. Kenny was our barber. His 40+ years of experience showed. He did a great job on both of us. This is an old fashioned barber shop: neck shave with a straight razor, etc.

After growing out my beard for no shave November.. (talk about itchy)I went to Deans not knowing what to expect... I actually received an amazing shave with menthol face cleaner, hot lather, steam towels...wow.. I will be treating myself again!!!

Me and my three oldest sons ( 12, 5 and 3 years old) have been going to Deans for a couple of years now and they are outstanding! They take great care of you and make you feel at home. You get a great haircut with minimal waiting, but you never feel rushed. They are true professionals!

No nonsense, quick, and a really good price at $19. Both times Ive been in before 9:00 on a weekday and there was no wait. This is my new barber shop!

I made an appt for my husband here for a hot towel shave and a head shave. I wanted to do something nice for him and send him to a Barber shop with an authentic feel and I was trying to avoid the chain/franchise options. I prepaid for the appt over the phone and included a tip that was over 20%. My husband said it was a relaxing experience, but the shave itself was terrible. There were so many patches of hair he missed. Definitely a lack of attention to detail. I was disappointed that I spent so much on a 30 minute job that was poorly executed. Wont be returning, nor would I reccommend them.

We took our son to get a haircut and he has a cowlick and triple crown (sounds like a horse race I know). Needless to say, not just anyone touches his hair. We couldnt have been more pleased with the scissor cut he received. The best compliment was his aunt (who is a cosmetologist) saying thats the best haircut Ive ever seen on him! Except of course the one I gave him LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! Will be taking him back for the rest of his life!

Got a high fade. Good cut but the site says it costs 10.00 they charge 19.00. Almost double now. Lots of other good barbers for less cost in Raleigh.

I moved to the area a little over a year ago and have had one bad haircut after another. Thank God I found this place. There was only one barber working when I got there and I had to wait 15 minutes for the two gentlemen ahead of me. Thats pretty darn fast in my opinion. I showed the barber a cellphone picture of myself from several months ago and said this is a haircut I got while traveling out of town. Can you do this? 10 minutes later there was a pile of hair on the floor and I had exactly what Id shown him. Im very picky about haircuts. This guy really knows how to give you a sharp, clean cut. I will definitely be coming here from now on.

Ive gone to this Barbershop about 4 times and today was by far the straw that broke the camels back. Today I had an older gentleman cut my hair who had never cut my hair before, he did a half decent job on my fade but he totally botched and chipped me up around the ears. After it was all said and done he spent about 15 minutes cutting my hair, brought me up to the register and rung me up for $40!!!!! Ive been going a Barber shops up-and-down the East Coast and this was by far the most ragtag haircut experience Ive ever had and the most Ive ever paid for a haircut. Needless to say I wont be getting my haircut here any longer.

Very disappointing first time visit. Just got home working a long shift and ready to shower and my beard looked very horrifying. Speaking directly to you Kenneth. You ruined my beard! This was my experience with a hot towel clean shave. The guy used a straight razor for about 4 strokes and then went straight to using a standard razor. Not my idea of a $25 shave. In addition he missed massive patches and sent me on my way, as soon as I got to the car and checked the mirror I had to go back. He tried to remove the rest but still left some spots. I just said screw it and went home to finish the shave myself. Very disappointing.

Love taking my son here and he loves going to this Barber Shop. They cut his hair without cutting his skin like others have. I appreciate them for taking care of my child and they are so friendly and nice!

Ive been looking for a traditional barber shop to have my hair cut and I think I have finally found the place. I was very impressed with the skill of the barber and the quality of the haircut.

Went to this Barbershop towards the end of 2017 I thought it was a Dominican shop the worker began to tell me they only cut straight hair( European) and that my hair would be. Considered a specialty cut I felt very offended and felt very unwelcome he was pretty much saying to me because I’m not white he wouldn’t cut my hair that’s totally not okay to say to someone.

I was in desperate need of a haircut and they were open, not my normal place but in a pinch I got what I needed.

Very disappointing.I went in for a flat top but instead got trimmed and rounded off.Not even skin tight. I had asked for.. but was ignored.I was there less than 10 minutes for $19No neck shave.Good luck.

My 9 year old and I get a great haircut all the time.

A homey shop with nice older gentlemen, but I didnt get the cut I asked for at all. Told him a slight fade and leave it a little long on top. Walked out with no fade at all and a lot cut off the top and paid $19 plus tip on top. Thank goodness my gf is a hair stylist and hooked up the back of my neck that the guy left crooked. Maybe Im just spoiled by my perfect NY fades and paying around $12, but I wont be coming back.

Asked for a low fade down to skin and received a weed eater instead. I literally had lines all around my head with random squares where it was not blended and at different lengths where different lengths didnt belong. Asked for top to be cleaned up and length left and thinned out. Only thinned out. I had to go home and pull out my clippers. I cant believe I left this place looking like I did. I was embarrassed to show my head. Does anyone know where I can get an actual low fade?? Thanks

I just got the best haircut have ever had in Raleigh North Carolina, Ive been to all fake barber shops in Raleigh but this is a real barbershop! A real mans barbershop clippers, straight edge razor, and a air hose to blow the hair off of you old school!!!

Tried to open during the pandemic, this is dangerous and selfish of them.

-Atmosphere was uncomfortable because nobody looked happy and it was dead silent.-As the man was buzzing the sides of my head he went too far on the top and took a chunk off the top.-when It came to the top of my hair he made the back of my hair at least two inches shorter than the front.Will not be coming back
