Very careful attention to detail at this facility.I purchased a used 2009 Audi A4 convertible privately about a year and a half ago and have never taken it to a repair shop before this visit, as Robert was extremely helpful and knowledgeable re taking care of the small things that needed attention as well as some important recommendations to be addressed in near future. Very professional atmosphere.

My boss recommended Robert to check some repairs suggested by another national chain. He emailed me his recommendations along with pictures then discussed them in detail on the phone. He did the repairs needed and followed up by emailing me pictures. He discovered that the other place did not replace the oil filter when doing the oil change. This was the first time having Autobahn service my vehicle but definitely not the last.

Amazing!! Great Family Business! This business was recommended to me by my son in law. I needed major repairs like wheel axles, etc. I had gotten an estimate at my local dealership for $1,700-$1,800. The price for the same work at Autobahn saved me hundreds! It was very organized. I was given a price, told the work could be done that day, and when I picked up my car, they gave me what repairs I could expect for the next year, and a price. My car is a 2011 Sonata with 114,000 miles, and they showed me several things that I could do to keep the car longer. I left having saved money, my car is really organized with what and when to do next. I now have a safe place I trust to fix my car, and that is a huge thing! Friendly staff, great family owned business. I told my daughter she needs to get her car done here, and she lives in Charleston! I am so happy....

Recall the old adage about car mechanics: Quality, fast, or cheap--CHOOSE TWO. Autobahns work is high quality and very fast, and Ive yet to walk out feeling like I didnt get a fair price. Did I mention theyre fast? Often my car is ready to pickup the following day.On top of maximizing value, they are also very good with communication. You can schedule your appointment online and drop your car off after-hours in their giant parking lot. Theres a drop box with envelopes and Sharpie pens for leaving your key. They confirm receipt of your car (usually via email) and always provide a quote before beginning work. While working on your car, they will diagnose any other issues the car may have or may develop in the near future, and they arent pushy about addressing these issues immediately.Autobahn even sneaks in free work sometimes. In the recent past, they fixed a vacuum leak for me free of charge, just a week after Robert fussed with an electrical issue with my tail light to get it up to code for inspection.I highly recommend Autobahn for routine maintenance and car repair. They use OEM parts (never cheap, aftermarket parts), and I dont believe theres any car they cant figure out--European, Japanese, or otherwise.

Ive been going to Robert for many years now with no plans on changing that. Ive been very pleased with their knowledge, the level of service provided and attention to detail. He always remembers that the oil fill requirement on the variant of my car doesnt match the service manual and double checks to make sure it isnt overfilled, and more often than not does the work on mine himself. I wouldnt hesitate, and have recommended Autobahn to others. Also Duke is great company in the waiting room!

You know how when you take your vehicle in for service to a large dealership, all those service advisers are in there... and maybe you wanna ask a couple of questions to an actual technician, but theyre all back there... and you dont know if the advisor is knowledgeable or not... and youre apprehensive about asking for a technician to come out... and the place is crazy busy and everyones running around... and finally you just say, the heck with it and take your chances by leaving the car and hoping somebody can figure out why theres a tick in the engine??Well, at Autobahn, you can actually TALK to the owner, Robert. Not that I would take up too much of his valuable time...But there he is right through the glass window, and hes ready and willing to answer your questions, explain stuff and help you think about and anticipate what your vehicle might need. Oh, and yeah, he and his guys know their stuff, are conscientious and do a top job. Plus, he even let me drive his car. (Dont tell anybody that part.)

They discovered a faulty rear strut, which explained the poor ride I was getting. It was fixed that day. This comprehensive care does not happen at your quick stop discount oil change store.

Im very impressed with Autobahn! I went searching for a new mechanic for my moms VW. Tired of dealerships and other mechanics not really caring about their customers and charging for the same issue over and over. Shes been taking her car to Robert now for about a year. While on a cross country trip I had some car problems and worried about being able to make it into Raleigh. I knew it would probably be a chunk of money to get this particular issue repaired. When I finally called Robert to book an appointment he was able to get me in immediately and had my car back in tip top shape by the end of the day. Best part, my bill was under the amount I was expecting to pay, and I could tell he did a little more than I actually asked without charging me extra!!Great service, great mechanic!! I couldnt be happier with their service! I found them about five years ago and am so glad that I did. I rely on the service pros to let me know what I need since I am not at all mechanically inclined. Its hard to find more honest and capable people than them. Ive taken two VWs there for repairs and maintenance. But its after purchasing a used Audi that not only had not been properly maintained, but also had a fairly long list of issues, that Robert and Erin went above and beyond to help me turn my lemon in to lemonade!!! My 2006 VW TDI stopped running. I did not want to tow it from my home to Cary. Another excellent mechanic recommended Autobahn to me. I called, they were very professional and helpful. I had the car towed to Autobahn. They diagnosed the problem, let me know what and the cost. I had it repaired. It needed a new timing belt as well, I had them do that maintenance. All along the way they sent pictures, we communicated and it was a very pleasant experience. They are very professional and treated my car and me as a customer should be treated. I will continue to have my car serviced there. Their prices are slightly lower than the dealership but they get to know their customers quickly and develop a real relationship with them.

On my first visit, this business did everything I asked and took care of other problems they found that I was unaware of. The couple handling the job were very warm, friendly and helpful. Id certainly recommend this shop to friends and family.

Honest and quality mechanic.

I just moved to North Carolina about a month ago. I am unfortunately between jobs and ofcourse I end up having a small issue with my 2006 E350. I found Autobahn Automotive via Google search and decided to try it. I have never been treated so badly by any auto shop in my life. I explained the sitch to the guy at the counter and he was helpful, saying well lets at least run a code check to see why you engine light is on...however, he got quickly called away and had to leave. He said I should talk to the owner. I waited while he was on the phone. I approached him to re-explain the sitch and was instantly nasty. He said...we are not going to run any codes...if you cant afford to maintain your car you should not have it!.....he then said a guy like me should go to Pep Boys. I said you really dont want the business do you?...He said and I quote...I dont need anymore customers.....can you believe this idiot?!,,,,I told him off in no uncertain terms and he cowarded away. I then went across the street to Atlantic...who diagnosed the problem for free and fixed the issue for $87.(fouled plug)...they even threw in the tire rotation!....DO NOT GO TO AUTOBAHN AUTOMOTIVE!....according to the owner they dont need or want your business anyway! Obviously some kind of weird politics or issues going on there....

Half the price for an alternator from what the dealership offered. Took it in yesterday and was quoted it would be done by today, but it was done within a few hours! Saved money and time as well as a friendly staff. This is the place to go.

I have nothing bad to say about this shop except that they might be a little higher on repair prices than a few others, but you get what you pay for. I have never felt ripped off by them lile I have with almost any other shop.Robert and his wife are very streigh forward with you and will even fix minor thing for free. I needed a new light blub Robert pulled my honda into the shop to replace it and 5 minutes later he said it was put in and no charge.Every time I have had major work done they have washed down the outside of my car at NO charge.If you want work done on your car the right way the first time go here.
