Be prepared to have a bunch of greasy finger prints deposited all over your vehicle and interior. They don’t bother washing their hands when entering your vehicle nor do they have the simple courtesy of placing down a paper floor mat. I had to spend an extra $150 to have my interior steam cleaned. If they cut corners on simple courtesies like washing their hands, what else are they skipping out on?

They are the best. They really care for their customers and they do their job right. Take my word for it as I’m a man who loves working on his car and I understand car mechanics well. I can for sure tell if the technician is doing his job right or not and at Brown’s shop they do their job 100%

My brakes locked up on my trailer. So I took off the brake assembly, took it to Browns, and they fixed it right away! Was able to get my trailer back working again. Thanks Browns!

I called today to get a pricing on a 4 wheel alignment. The gentleman (Brian)on the was very honest and kind. They will be one of my places to keep in mind if needing car work.Update: I came to get my car (Butter ) axle fixed. And they did a wonderful job. And a reasonable price. While they rest of these sorry mechanical shops will try to charge 2legs and a arm. The Big Plus for me was the honesty.!!!!

I usually take my car to these guys for a regular oil change and service. They always give me an honest, upright and the best quote on things that need to be done/fixed in my car. Most recently, I had to get my NC inspection for registration renewal. They did mention that they were fully booked for the day, but when Brian realized that it was my last day to get my NC state inspection, he took my car and got it done though they were fully booked for the day. These guys are the best and the most helpful auto repair shop in town!

Felt compelled to write a quick review after the service they just performed for me. I had a slow leak in the rear tire of my BMW and needed my state inspection done. Their online appointment tool made it easy for me to get in quickly, and then their fantastic team took care of the rest. I always get nervous going into a new auto shop, but I can confidently say they have both integrity and fair prices here. Ill be back for all my repair needs in the future.

This is the best mechanic shop for all around needs I found in Raleigh. I went car shopping for weeks and drove 7 vehicles to numerous places. In my search, I experienced a wide variety of managers (talented and otherwise) and technicians/mechanics (experienced or otherwise). This place gave the most comprehensive pre purchase inspection I have ever received, and answered all of my questions immediately and thoroughly. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Honesty and experience are what I look for when I need auto care, and I found it.

After visiting two other mechanics for trouble with my 10 year old car, with a couple thousand in expenses already wracked up, I was referred to Browns by a co-worker.I have to say, they were polite, helpful and patient. Its very obvious speaking with the mechanics that they know what they are talking about and have experience diagnosing complex problems. They dont sugar coat it.My tech told me that they couldnt pinpoint exactly where the problem was, but shared his honest opinion on the likely issues involved given the number of miles on the vehicle. He said that while he could offer to repair different items in hopes that it might fix the problem, it was probably better to either just keep driving until the issue became more obvious or trade it in if I needed something more reliable. They even told me they didnt notice much of an issue with the engine despite that meaning less money for them.When I went to pay, they told me I didnt owe anything despite the 1-2 hours they spent on it. I even tried to tip and they wouldnt take it.I will DEFINITELY be back! Good, Quality Shop here. You wont be disappointed.

They were great to work with!! After a missed diagnosis which happens for every shop they were very accommodating. The owner was good at explaining the missed diagnosis. Even refunded me for the wrong repair. Very greatful and I will be back.

Went there after changing tires with Discount Tire. They said it woudl take an hour but it took only 30 minutes. No hassle, straightforward.

Have had both my Subarus serviced and repaired here and I keep coming back. You can tell these guys are honest and do a good job. Fair pricing, wont push stuff on you if you dont need it yet, and good communicators as well. They seem to take pride and ownership in their work. Highly recommended, and they do a lot more than just alignments as well.

Just relocated back to Raleigh area and am pleased to have found Browns. Had purchased a new set of tires at a national tire store chain and was surprised to find they didnt do alignments. They referred me to Browns. Browns put it on the lift and noticed a minor issue which should be addressed before aligning. As a shade tree mechanic, they showed me what needed to be done and offered a tip or two on how to do so. Going back in this am to get the alignment and looking forward to another positive experience.

I first went to Browns in the 1980s and then started going again once I moved back to the area. They fix whats broken and they never try to upsell. If they find something wrong with my vehicle, they tell me if its something that needs to be fixed right away or something that I can safely put off. Its a great family owned business. I like them and trust them.

Can I just tell you how AWESMONE these people are... I work downtown Raleigh and was on my way back to the office from an appointment when I started having issues with driver side tire area. I am not in this area much at all so I had no idea they were there. I am a woman and was by myself and trying to find somewhere safe to stop when I saw this business. You know its old news that women by theirself.... well you know... going to get charged a lot and bring up things that are not even wrong with your vehicle. Just as soon as I walked in the office I was approached by Bryan (Vice Pres) and he listened to me got tickled yes because Im just country and talk fast but was scared too death... he and the wonderful technician John did not hestiate and came outside with me.... John took my vehicle down the road they both looked under front end and then John put on lift and found my problem. My brake caliper was about to fall out, they only had to add two bolts and it was ready to roll and when I started to the car Mr. John said hold on Im going down the road to make sure all is ok before you leave!!! Then when I tried to pay Brayn he looked at me and said I am doing my good deed for the day... what a blessing I told him God would bless him back.. he just asked if I would give them a good review... I immediatley told him I am faithful on doing reviews everywhere I go and he didnt even have to ask. I have been working downtown Raleigh NC for 27 years and never knew this DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH was here.... guess what I do now and will be with them until I retire from this area... they are very honest and very nice people!! So very glad I ran across these people :)

Referred here because a tire company damaged my rim by breaking off a lugnut. Ordered said lugnut from Browns and would told it would be in a few days before Christmas. Browns never called. When I called on 12/27, I was told that there had been a lugnut sitting around and we werent sure whose it was, so we sent it back. They reordered for me but when it came in they said Id have to make an appointment. To have a lugnut put on??? (The rim had been repaired the first time i took it in). I ended up going to a dealer. They called me for over 4 months about the lugnut after I had already advised them that I was going elsewhere. Office assistant Anne is extremely rude. Unprofessional and I recommeded to the tire company that they send their customers elsewhere.

We have been getting our cars serviced at Browns now for over 20 years! One Ford, 2 Toyotas and now a Hyundai.👍 Wouldnt go any where else.
