Weeks prior to the heatwave that hit the PNW we had signed an agreement with Sound Heating & Air Conditioning to add two A/C units to our home. The professionalism & courtesy showcased by Tammy went above and beyond our highest expectations!The day of the install happened to coincide with the highest temperature day of the heatwave and the install had to be canceled for the safety of everyone involved. Kevin McHenry himself called to apologize for the need to delay the install and promised to finish the job as soon as possible.True to his word, Sound Heating and Air Conditioning sent two teams and the next day and turned two days of work into just a few short hours. Aaron and all of the guys did a phenomenal job! We couldnt be happier with the quality, cleanliness, and professionalism showcased by all involved and dont hesitate to offer our recommendation.
We were looking to upgrade our hot water heating system from a tanked system to the new tankless system. I called around, and finally decided to use Sound Heating & Air as the company we wanted to use. They were very professional, and took the time to explain the entire process. When the technicians arrived they were very polite, and explained how the installation process would happen. After they removed our old tanked hot water heater the technician pointed out how our old system had a very slow leak that I never noticed that actually rusted out the top of my old tank. So it was the right choice to switch out the system. From start to finish they took just over 3 hours. Took the time to ensure they cleaned up after themselves, and properly tested to system to ensure it worked correctly. Finally the technician provided detailed instructions how to register for the manufactures warranty. We are very pleased with the quality of service, and the total professionalism they provided us. We would highly recommend them for all your heating, AC, or hot water needs.

I just want to take a moment to express my gratitude to this company. Weve had to have them out on two separate instances - mind you it was nothing Sound Heating did to have the problems for either call out. Tyler is an amazing technician, he was super responsive to our urgent call out and turned up first thing in the morning and fixed the issue (due to my user error). As a courtesy he also switched out our filters in the home while he was out. Our AC unit is now working again! Thank you so much! I highly recommend them!
Rude people at the company. I’m an upset customer, and they blamed my husband for their mistake. Don’t use this company.AVOID THEM!!!!Their tech cut my hose from my washer to the wall, and then blamed my husband for my washer leaking because of poor maintenance. It never leaked before, until they came and messed with it in order to fix our AC unit.Also, my husband never pulled out that hose, as the washer was just fine the day before they came to fix our AC issue.I don’t appreciate their customer service rep being completely rude, and accusatory towards us. They don’t even deserve the one star.If anyone knows a better company? Please let me know!
Our home was built in 2017 and weve noticed an issue with airflow into one particular room. I finally went up to the attic and noticed an issue that was constricting airflow to this particular room that was done during the initial installation. I called Sound Heating, and because it was past the warranty period, it wasnt covered. But I showed them a picture of the issue to Sound Heating, and they agreed this was an issue and agreed to fix it for free, 3 years later and out of warranty. They stand behind their work and made it right. Thank you Sound Heating. I will be using them for any future needs and I will gladly pay because I know that this company will stand behind their work.
My furnace main blower failed catastrophically in the middle of the night. I called Sound first thing the next morning. They got a technician to my house that afternoon, and he had it fixed in less than two hours. Good, fast, courteous service at a reasonable price.
Had a issue with a unit under their care, service rep was persistent to get in touch with me and had a technician out same day and resolved the issue, took care to explain what was wrong and how they fixed it, excellent service!
Our service provider, Mitch, from Sound was awesome! He was very professional during the entirety of his visit. He explained everything he was checking to determine the fault with our heater. It was evident Mitch was a technical expert. Turns out the issue is with the builder of our home. Mitch also took the time to contact the builder to explain the additional work required to ensure the heater wouldnt fail again. I will contact this company in the future based on the efforts and services from Mitch. Also from a fellow Veteran, thanks to Mitch and his wife for their military service.

They are trash!!!!! Theyre too worried about making money for themselves rather than making their customers happy.. and try this scheme their way out of paying employees..
They used to be very good. Had them for 11 years. However it seems for the last few years - they have lost quality work and customer service. Just had another company looked into our heat pump - this was after I already called them several times as our 5 year heat pump/furnace was not working (which they installed). Never called back even after repeated calls. So found out they did not install the heat pump properly. Never connected the outdoor thermostat when it was installed. Even though they service it - regularly - they never mentioned about the problem. Incredible. Plus they chargemore than double that what other places does just to diagnose. $189 (weekday), $289 off hours vs $85 in other places Not stingy about money - as long as good work is done. But paying double for shoddy work is not my thing. Goodluck to new and old customers. Look elswhere.
We have continued to give this company our money only to see a heat pump never get fixed. We have tried every solution they presented and nothing has worked. Yet they still want to keep charging us to try new ideas and have no idea what customer service really means. Brett is probably the most rude person I have ever dealt with in my experience as a homeowner. He only seems to care about money and not getting it right. When I was frustrated to the point of tears, I asked to speak to the owner and he said the owner could not call me because hes never in the office. He told me someone else would call me back but they never did. Weve given hundreds and hundreds of dollars to this company and still have a heat pump that doesnt work. Its so frustrating.

Called them today to schedule a service call due to an AC unit that quite working. They were at the house within a few hours and quickly diagnosed the issue and got us up and running. I would recommend these folks.
Company came out and performed cleaning and maintenance service on our electric furnace on 12/15/17. The cost was well within range. We complained that the furnace was making a loud obnoxious whirring sound. This issue had been described when made the initial call and, it was written on the invoice. They said that everything looked good after putting it back together and it could be the motor if we noticed it getting worse. It was noted by the tech that the cause of the noise was actually a dirty air filter. I didnt notice much difference but figured Id call them back if necessary. The noise never really went away but came back even worse so I called them to schedule another appointment on 3/7/18. I talked to the dispatcher and told him that I thought it was the motor basing my assumption on what Id been told in December. They had to order a motor and were out in a couple days. The tech discovered that it wasnt the motor. It was the return grill facing the wrong way against the wall and restricting airflow. Hence, causing the loud, obnoxious whirring sound. My wife and I bought the house last July and the previous owners had apparently taken it off and put it on wrong. So, they charged me another $200 to basically fix a problem that should have been fixed the first time they were out. I called and talked to the dispatcher who informed me that this was a legitimate charge that would stand as is. The dispatcher was rude, unsocial, unfriendly and very apparent that he either hated his job and/or, hates customers who question their billing methods. What he said was that they had to go out and buy a special motor and make a special trip. They told me that I told them it was the motor when I was simply telling them what I had been told at the first visit. Last time I checked, they were the ones labeling themselves professionals. They are saying that I should have called them back several weeks later if it was that important. They will get no more business from us again and, if someone ever asks for a recommendation, we can certainly tell them who they should NOT do business with!!! I dont understand why companies put people in positions of facing their customers when it is clearly evident that such a person should be as far away as possible from any customers. I hope that the matter of a couple hundred dollars was worth the potential loss of business. Steer clear.
Do not use this Company! They do not stand behind their work, but do Guarantee NOT to fix anything that was signed off even though it has never worked from day one. Other Professional Companies have had to repair this Companies mess, and know very well of their work.
Scam artists. Charged $207. for someone to come out to diagnose. The guy was there for less than 10 minutes to say we might have a leak in the refrigerant line. I then called to schedule someone to look for the leak and repair it and was told labor and installation were NOT under warranty even though our system was installed 20 months prior when the home was built and quoted an estimate of $1100.00 to fix at best. Needless to say, I called the company we used at our previous home and they did the whole thing for less than half the cost. And to no ones surprise, the leak was caused from a bad install job of the line. No wonder they dont warranty their labor and installation.
I used Sound Heating for an AC add on. Tammy was the my saleswoman, she was very friendly and gave me a decent price. The crew that did the work was prompt, friendly, and finished quickly! I would highly recommend Sound Heating to anyone looking for a highly professional, local, and friendly company to have work done.

Just a heads up, that if one of your employees, or possibly owner or whoever, is going to wear your company apparel, they probably should be respectful to the public in public places like gas stations. An older gentleman driving a newer grey Silverado, wearing a grey Sound Heating hooded sweatshirt confronted me this morning for blocking his gas pump. Cussing, yelling and all bent out of shape. This happened at the 76 station on canyon at Brookdale. Try to smile buddy. Its not the end of the world.
We had a wonderful experience from our couple of calls, meetings, and an onsite inspection by Tammy Achten, our Sales associate. We live out in the boonies in Yelm, WA- they were happy to come out our way to help!We opted for the mid-grade Carrier Heat Pump and thermostat to replace our old, broken system. We had received four estimates, and Sound Heating and Air Conditioning was the best - All-Around.All four installation technicians were friendly, clean efficient, and answered any questions I had. The removal and replacement went like a dream! Carlo and Aaron were our system installers, and the electricians were Damien and Matt. Thank you all for such a professional installation from top to bottom!We highly recommend Tammy and crew!!!
I had went to this company when I was needing a boiler replaced in a property. Every thing started off great and from there it only went down hill. This company has to be one of the most unprofessional companies I have dealt with in 15 years of Business. The job took a lot longer then I was promised, the job cost more then I was promised, the company has very poor communication skills, will not return calls, owner is no where to be found, my residents and my self witnessed many times as to their staff cursing and yelling at each other. Its extremely disappointing there are companies out there that handle them selves in this manor. I tried many times to reach out to this company and each time was treated with total disrespect.
I would like to give them 1.5 stars, but not able to do so.I just purchased a condo in June/July of this year, and had to have the furnace inspected. To me this means everything is checked, not just the furnace itself. First, I took the day off of work to be available for all services coming that day. Sound Heating was supposed to be there at 1. No one showed, so I called. Bret (Brent?) said that the technician was still at a job and would call them to find an eta. Received a call back and it was going to be another hour. No biggie. 2 hours more and still no one. Call back and was told that they were supposed to be on the way. Well, 4 hours later they showed up. The service tech did the inspection, replaced a filter and then charged me $130 (the full rate). Not pleased, but what can I do.Now that it is winter, I turned on the heat for the first time yesterday, and my room was still an ice box after 8 hours. Called Sound Heating again and they told me that I would need an air balancing and that it would be $125 more. I said that wasnt going to work and I wanted to hear from a supervisor. No call yesterday and none at 1015 am today. So, I called and spoke with Bret again. He stated that the inspection is just for the furnace to make sure it is working correctly. Well, obviously it isnt if it isnt pushing hot air to where it needs to go. Said that they cant balance all houses, because they dont balance the same way. The balance is a separate entity entirely, because it is a different person doing it.Basically they are running a racket. Inspection is half-a$$ed and only gets you the bare minimum. You have to fork out more to get everything you need. Then you are lucky if they show up on time. I should not have to pay an additional fee for something that should have been done the first time around. Went to a competitor of theirs and was told only have to pay a small service fee, will be out tomorrow, and if there are any repairs needed - the service fee is applied to the cost.Save your money, go somewhere else. Dont waste it on half-a$$ed shoddy work from people who dont know the meaning of ethics, good business practice or respect and consideration for their customers.
Bad! My heater was installed by this company and now is not under warranty. I called to have it serviced and the Service Manger Bret said he could not help period and only has enough staff to service warranty heaters. Last month I called and he suggested I flip the breaker. Beware that if you purchase from this company you will have to deal with this person. I have learned my lesson.

We had an appointment at 9am and I had arranged to have someone at my home to let them in. At 9:30am after no one had arrived I called the company and they said they had gone early and would not go back. Having a full-time job and I cannot be home at all hours, I assumed they would come at the appointment time and arranged for someone to go out of their way to be there. When I called they were unfriendly and did not once get an apology for their error. He said we would have to arrange another time for someone to come out and was very unprofessional and rude. As a manager that works in a customer service driven company, this lack of customer service is unacceptable. I will never refer them or use Sound Heating again. Save yourself the trouble and go with someone else! Reading the other reviews, I can tell this is a company that does not put the client first. Disappointing to say the least.

They charged us $287.00 just to come to our home and then charged us $243.00 for a part and then told us if we bought it at mclendon that it would have cost only $60.00 it took him less than 10 minutes to put the part in and then as he is writing up the paperwork he informs us that we have to pay another fee for using a charge card of 30.00 bringing the grand total to 605.00 it was just the hot surface ignitor wow did we get screwed over.
