Overall a great experience with this company, as I had a new heat pump and furnace installed. The Comfort Advisor, Jesse, came to my house and did a complete manual load calculation, which is critical to making sure you get the properly sized heat pump or AC unit. Advanced Filter was the only company I contacted that performed this in a thorough manner, so I was confident I would get the right equipment and also have it installed properly. Jesse was very knowledgeable and professional, and happy to answer the many questions that I had. The gentlemen that installed my equipment had many years of experience under their belts, and did a great job. They made sure I was satisfied where the heat pump would be situated before they started, and then explained how everything worked after the installation was complete. Jesse even stopped by during the installation process to make sure everything was going smoothly, and if I had any questions or concerns. Two weeks after the installation and the heat pump and furnace are working great, and I couldnt be happier.

I had very pleasant experience with Advanced Filter & Mechanical Inc. They were able to accommodate my needs and schedule the install of my furnace at the exact time I needed it. From the sales rep to the electricians and installer, all were very professional. They were not pushy and they educated me on the product and how the install process would go. They cleaned up any mess they made and did a very good job on the entire project. Ive had the new furnace for about 3 months and my family and I are very happy and satisfied.

I’ve chosen Advanced Filter to put in a new furnace, heat pump and gas water heater. They have not only done the work promptly, professionally, and at a very reasonable cost, but I’ve always found their installers to be courteous, friendly, and eager to explain all of my questions. I also appreciate that they give honest recommendations, and don’t try to “sell you” something you don’t need. When they are done, they make sure the place looks as clean as when they arrived, and I have never had an issue with poor workmanship in any of their installations. I highly recommend Advanced Filter and Mechanical for heating and cooling systems, and for the maintenance of that equipment.

This company did a great job! They had the best price, and the best rated equipment. We selected the day for installation; they were there on time. They installed a Trane 95% efficiency gas furnace and a 50 gallon State gas water heater in just over 1/2 day and were gone. They were clean and neat. The installation passed all inspections. I will use them again and recommend to friends.

Fantastic! We had multiple installs completed which included quite a bit of work – electrical, gas, and general (generator, AC, fireplace insert) – all went smoothly. The entire team from estimate through completion, was professional, personable, trusting, and caring. We will be using them again for future projects and maintenance. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Very disappointing company. I have a home generator I scheduled routine maintenance for which was apparently non functioning on the visit. Instead of calling me before proceeding, the tech performed the scheduled maintenance on the unit and then called saying I would need a separate specialist to evaluate the unit. I was unhappy at this point and even more so that the second tech could not accurately diagnose the problem after two hours. He advised a Sarah would contact me the following week for quotes on parts. That was 6 weeks ago and no follow up. I spoke with Sarah to dispute full payment on maintenance stating you wouldnt change the oil on a car and then tell the owner your engine doesnt work. I own a small business and I have not been happy with the poor communication and lack of willingness on their management side. I will not do business with this company again. Such a poor experience. I actually diagnosed one of the problems myself after 20 minutes and temporarily fixed my own unit, and it was NOT a part listed by their tech for recommended replacement. I cannot recommend Advanced Mechanical & Inc. and I hope the owner learns value in this and training for your staff.

I bought a furnace two years ago from them and the process from selection to installation was seamless. We loved our new Trane furnace. Two years later something was wrong and I called hoping for an appointment. I knew that I wouldnt be able to be around my phone all day so I hoped to make a quick call and be done with it. I called and they promised to call back. I called again and they were too busy to deal with my request... they said something about doing payroll. I decided that Id wasted enough time and I called a competitor. They were able to help me and schedule a same day appointment. Is Advanced Filter good at service? Im not sure, they were too busy to deal with my request.

We had our new furnace and heat pump installed almost 3 weeks ago and can say our experience with Advanced Filter & Mechanical was all that we could have asked for. First, we had 4 different companies come out and give us bids and everyone was competitive with pricing. Advanced Filter & Mechanical was easy to deal with, had the best pricing and even beat Costcos Brennan Heating. We can say that Jesse Kelpszas was our point of contact and he was the most responsive and informative of all the company representatives we met with. So the initial process was very effortless and the installation process was as well. The installers did a great job explaining details throughout their installation and a recent state inspection was made and everything passed with flying colors. We are so happy to have chosen this company (especially with the recent excessive heat wave) and have already referred them to friends.

Advanced Filer and Mechanical saved me money. Our furnace was too small for our home. They came out and added a furnace, heat pump and new duct work. We are so happy now. Not only is our home more comfortable but my PSE bill was cut almost in half. They have friendly and professional installers. They answered my questions and took the time to explain my new system to me. Thanks for a great job!

STAY AWAY from them!!! Owner and salesman both LIED to me!A few years back, an Advanced Filter & Mechanical Inc. salesman gave me his heat loss calculations and price quote for a Trane hybrid system which included an 80000 BTU gas furnace. After everything was installed, I discovered the furnace installed was only a 60000 BTU unit, not 80000 in the contract. I contacted the company and of course they tried to find all excuses to deny that they needed to fix this. Basically, they sent someone to my house to RE-CALCULATE the heat loss (of course the number was much lower than the original) and told me the 60000 BTU unit was big enough for my house. I ended up with asking a technician from the state energy department (it was free, the company agreed to accept whatever number would come out) to measure my heat loss and the number was about same as the companys original calculation. The company at this point still kept telling me what they installed was good for me. They never admitted they did anything wrong even thought I had the contract. Even the owner of the company (amazingly, he came to install the system and was NICE) denied they were wrong! At the time I was unable to deal with them due to health reasons and basically the problem never got resolved. DO NOT use this company if you want to save yourself headaches! DONT waster your hard-earned money!

We were extremely pleased with the entire sales and installation process. Jesses (sales) professionalism and willingness to answer questions (before wed even committed to the project) were exemplary. The installation crew (led by Juan, and including James and Kai) were actually a pleasure to have working around the house. They were friendly, explained options as they arose, and when they realized after removing the old furnace that some unplanned vent work would be necessary for the AC unit to work properly, spent numerous hours getting the job done correctly, without regard to the extra labor involved (for which I was not charged!). The install crew clearly got along well with each other as demonstrated by their easy manner even after putting in a longer day than expected. And at the end of the project, Juan cheerfully walked us through everything before cleaning up and leaving. It is without reservation that I would recommend Advanced Filter and Mechanical to my neighbors looking for an HVAC contractor.

This is the company you should call FIRST when you need a new furnace! Ours decided to start leaking on us right before Christmas when temperatures were in the 30s. With the cost of repairs we knew it was time to replace the 18 year old beast. We started with another company that quoted us ridiculously high prices for units we didnt want. I have two toddlers at home and after two days of haggling and no heat I called Advanced Filter. I spoke with one of the service advisors, Jesse, and within like 15 minutes on the phone he was giving me numerous estimates in my price range on units that were comprable to what I had seen with the other company. Within 2 hours he was at my house finalizing the estimate, helping me secure financing, and by lunchtime the next day there was a very nice installer, Juan, at our house putting it in. The job wasnt quite finished so he had to come back the following day. It just happened to be Christmas Eve and we already had plans to be out of the house mid morning. Juan and Jesse came back the next morning bright and early enough to finish in time for us to keep our holiday plans and be out of the house in time. They were super nice, professional, and didnt mind my 3 year old staring at them from the window while they worked from their truck in the driveway. So save yourself some trouble and call them first :)

Run Run RUN away from this company! I am aghast at how this company has survived all these years by treating the customers the way they do. If there is an issue with the install or with an inspection, it is always the customers fault - they accept no responsibility for any of their actions. Just read the reviews on all review sites to see their response to a customer that is not happy - you can tell that they accept no responsibility.I am even more surprised that somehow they have an A+ rating with the BBB with all the complaints they have had in their years. We filed a complaint with the BBB and while we thought there would be some kind of arbitration or something that would encourage them to accept their responsibilities, there was nothing. We decided in the end, we would allow the complaint to stand on the BBB site as an example of how people are treated. If you read our complaint dated 8/9/17 all the way through, you will see where the NEW owner contradicts himself many times and tries to transfer the blame for wrongdoing to us.Take the time and do your own research - this company does not care about anything but getting your money - they do not care about doing the right thing or taking care of a customer. We found the Washington Labor and Industry site where you can see the outcome of all inspections. I did a search for Advanced Filter from 3/1/17 to 5/1/17, and a search for another Lennox dealer, Brennan Heating, for the same dates. Advanced Filter had 26 permits, and 6 were initially denied and required corrections (including ours). Brennan Heating had more than 10 pages of permits, and after 20 permits I only found 1 permit denied for something besides premises locked, no access. This sample shows that appx ⅕ of all their installs fail inspections on the first time through. This also means to the consumer that you will have to stay home from work on more days than initially discussed.Overall, I would NOT recommend this company! I would recommend that you have your neighbor who doesn’t know his way around a wrench install your appliance before allowing this company in your home.

Our furnace went out, and we were told by another company we had high levels of carbon monoxide, and it needed to be replaced. The first company gave us a quote, and told us they would be about 2 weeks before they could come out. I have Fibromyalgia, and that just wasn’t acceptable, any dip in temperature causes me lots of pain. So I said lets get a second opinion. We found this company, good ratings, they were on the dot prompt, very nice men, we got a better furnace for the same price as quoted. It was about $2800 out the door. 90 percept efficient, compared to the other company I believe said 80 perfect efficient, and probably 2 weeks before installation! We got a nice discount too.

In 2016, I planned to install heat pumps to five of my homes via Home Depot. After a nightmare of botched installations and damage to three of the five homes, I could take no more and went on over to BRENNAN (The very best). Rick, the owner of Advanced Mechanical, was rude, refused to help me with rebates, and refused to help with a failed system.

Im pretty leery about technicians so I asked A LOT of questions. He was happy to answer and put up with my watching. The TVX valve in the heatpump had quit working. He was here for 1 1/2 hours testing which cost just over 100.00.After verifying it didnt work, it took a week to order (this was during Christmas Eve and Day).It took 3 1/2 hours to install (due to disconnection and reconnecting copper coils), which was less than he had quoted previously. He did several tests to confirm it worked properly before leaving.I felt very comfortable using them and will be calling them for any furnace/heatpump service I need in the future.

I wanted to wait a bit before posting a review but now that some time has passed I feel that I can fully recommend Advanced Filter.First off this was not the first company I called. I had two other popular companies come out as well. The other two had a good pitch and cheap price but when I asked follow up questions to one companys rep I got a rather curt response. The other companys rep came out and I felt like I was trying to sell him as he seemed annoyed to have to be here. I took their info but didnt really get excited about anything and continued searching. I called Advanced Filter and set up an appointment. Jesse came out and did a great job actually crawling around my house and looking at the existing equipment then talking everything through with me. Having had other companies out I felt he was much more thorough. He then went out and crunched numbers in a manual J heat load calculation before coming back with different options that would work for me. After looking at the options I decided on the XP25 which was efficient but pricey. What was good was that I wasnt pushed in any direction and simply chose it after looking at all the options he left before taking off.Ive had other contractors at my place before who had no regard for my place. They left the door open all the time, removed things that were not part of their job and one even washed his tools off in my new sink which I cleaned up. We constantly had to have the supervisor out to have jobs re done and had to go through some ridiculous lengths to get things done to a reasonable standard.Advanced Filters team was the complete opposite and was a model of what Id like installers to be. The team came out and were very careful to respect my place closing the door even when going out for just a second to get something. They didnt make noise they didnt have to, they were very professional with no cursing or yelling. The job was done very quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. not just a cursory sweep but a good cleaning. Had I been out Id have wondered if anyone had come that day. They had no problem moving equipment out of my way for my convenience or moving vehicles around not on their time but on my time. It honestly didnt seem to bother them either and they appeared happy to help when I asked questions. The job was done exactly as described and there was no additional cost or side projects added in. The work done looks great for the part you can see and having been up in the space between floors I can tell you that it looks good where you wouldnt normally look as well. The system functions flawlessly and I could not be happier with my choices. Some of the things seem gimmicky like the panel that I can change the temp on by wifi. I vaguely thought it was kind of neat but who cares when looking at the pamphlet but it really paid off when I got sick to the point where I could barely get out of bed a bit ago. I simply pulled out my phone and changed the temp from in bed. Another time I was at the store and it was stupid hot outside and I realized that I hadnt lowered the temp from the winter setting yet. I once again pulled out my phone and turned it down a bit before returning to a nice cool house. I also check the panel often now for the forecast for the week which is a nice touch. The unit itself is quiet and I dont hear it running unless Im next to it. As a testament to my comfort, alot of times I open the front door and am surprised by how hot it is outside simply because its so cool inside. Its hot outside right now and Im wearing sweatpants as I type this because its nice and cool in here. The heat works great and the bill was lower than my old furnace bill even though I likely run it more.I planned on a quick review but I wanted to write you a review that Id like to have seen before making the choice your thinking of right now if your reading this. If I could go back and do it again Id have make the same choice without hesitation.

Ive never had a company go, in my mind, from 5stars down to 1star.I worked directly with owner Dave Ross. Very nice guy and very responsive - even stopped by a day or two after our initial meet to check on whether or not I had any questions. He was very knowledgable and answered many questions for me. I purchased the top of the line heat pump and air handler - also needed full ducting installed as our house was previously electric baseboard heaters. Its been a slow down hill since the crew showed up:- The crew lead that day had a completely different plan than Dave Ross and I had come up with. Its a good thing I was there because had I not been we would have had an air handler right in the center of a living space! Do not expect good communication between departments - Big problem.- The crew lead that day repeatedly told me that Dave Ross and my plan simply could not be done. Was not possible... Slowly that turned from not possible to Gee, thats an awful lot of work to do it like that... It took Mr Ross (owner) telling the crew lead that YES it CAN be done and it WILL be done. This was a scary situation when you are talking a $20,000 project.- Do not expect sawdust to be swept or cleaned up after install.- Dave Ross told me that it was no issue what-so-ever that our basement was currently being used as storage for all of our stuff (we were remodeling upstairs). The crew lead, however, had a different stance on this and made it very clear he was not happy with it.- My sons book shelf was damaged as someone decided to use it as a ladder. They had clearly stood on one of the shelf boards (made of particle board) and it broke and collapsed. No one told us the shelf was damaged. Do not expect the crew to be upfront with damaged items.- My project allowed for 2 rebates. One from Lennox and one from PenLight. I was told to handle the Lennox rebate (went flawlessly and already received rebate check) while Advanced Filter was to handle the PenLight rebate. After about 2 months I called PenLight to find out where the rebate was. I was told Advance Filter never sent in the documents. Several days and calls back and forth Advance Filter claiming they had given the paperwork to PenLight and PenLight claiming they hadnt.... I still have not gotten the rebate. Do not expect Advanced Filter to stay on top of your rebate for you. This has costed me a lot of time...- Apparently there is some electrical work that did not meet inspection. They were scheduled to be at my house today by 8:30. Its after 10am and still not there.- Electrician there right now... Tells my wife he forgot the proper breaker and needs to leave. Asks my wife if she will be home all day... Apparently she is stuck home all day now. More $, more $.- I assume that because the electrical did not meet inspection we will be required by the inspectors to take even more days off of work to let the inspectors in. More $, more $, more $.RECOMMENDATIONS: Do NOT pay the final 50% until literally every tiny aspect of the project is 100% finished - including rebates! In the beginning I felt really great about Advanced Filter and Mechanical. Now, I would not bother recommending them. I am okay with a small mistake here or there (like being late) but this is ridiculous. I feel like since they have been paid the project is of little importance.Sorry guys - I have to be honest with my review.EDIT 7/22/15:I wish I had read your response on here prior to speaking on the phone with you Dave. Its evident through all of your responses to negative reviews here that AF&M is not at fault. Interestingly, on the phone you did not come off as quite so unguilty.1- You did not leave me messages you left me a single message. Singular. I called you back within 24 hours.2 - You came back to install the grate because you didnt have the grate during install- not because of paint.3 - You were the ONLY contractor downstairs. Nice try.4 - NOTHING was added to basement storage. Nice try.Im even more disappointed after reading your response.
