Only salon I know of that totally caters to and knows how to cut mens hair in Portland. Never had a bad cut there no matter who cuts my hair. They dont rush, give you coffee, beer, whatever to make you comfortable. Only downside is its on the pricier side. Wouldnt go here if your hair is very short and super simple to cut as may overpay and not be as worth it to you.

My Master Barber, Weetie, did an amazing job. Very talented and skilled, extremely fun to talk to and spend time with. Very knowledgeable -- I will definitely be back.

The Mensroom is a great place to relax and have your haircut. When you first sit down they give you a nice relaxation massage. After that they wash & condition your hair and give you a nice hot towel for your fair while theyre working. Then they cut and style your hair, which they are very good at. Id recommend this place to any guy in Portland looking for a relaxing quality haircut.

I just got my haircut from here and Tay did an excellent job through and through! I know some people were voicing their concerns over the price but for the amenities provided, you really cant argue too much about the cost. I thought it was reasonable! In all, super happy to have gone there and will be back as a regular customer!

I’d been seeing the same person for my hair for several years but they’ve been closed due to Covid. After avoiding haircuts for months I called men’s room. Was a bit hesitant as like my regular guy does a great job but after going I couldn’t be happier. Sophie (sp?) cut my hair and not only was she super nice and easy to be around but she also did a great job on my hair. Thanks Sophie, I look hella fresh today and definitely plan on coming back

I really like the Mens Room Salon. They give you a drink when you arrive and then a shoulder massage before the cut. Amanda M has done my last two cuts and they were great. Ive had cuts from other stylists there too and theyve never disappointed. Stop in, its a real treat.

Weetie exceeded all of my expectations and really helped me fall in love with getting my hair cut again.I never have really enjoyed getting haircuts because I’ve had a lot of bad experiences. I have a challenging hair line and texture to my hair and many times people leave shelves or cut it so it sticks out. I also didn’t feel like most barbers care about what I have to say. But she killed it. I look too good for my own good 🤣 I’ll definitely be making all of my appointments with Weetie from now on. She also helped me understand why products matter. If I was you, I’d listen to her. She knows what she’s doing and she seemed to have my best interest at heart. I really loved the experience top to bottom. Thank you guys

My favorite place to get my haircut in Portland, Maine. Great attention to detail. They use Art of Shaving product, and offer beer/wine/coffee.

Anyone else notice all the 4-5 star reviews are from local guides? Maybe they are getting something for their stars? Most other - non-guide -reviews find this place way over-priced for lack-luster cuts (the whole point you are there). Also note the owner responding only to positive reviews rather than attempt to address the repeated concerns.

I went there to get a haircut and to donate my hair. The ladies that were working there were professional and courteous. I was offered a drink while I waited. There is a pool table and tvs to enjoy while waiting. All in all, it was a great experience & Ill definitely be going back!!!

Brought my 3 year old and 7 year old into see Weetie! She did an excellent job on both of them. Very personable and treated my older son like a grown up. My younger son was so incredibly relaxed while she was washing his hair-which he typically hates. He also hates sitting still and she managed to keep a steady hand and give him a fantastic haircut.Highly highly recommend. We will be going back!

Ive had two barbers in my life who knew how to tackle my cowlicks and cut my hair properly: my barber at Parris Island (Rah!) and Weetie at Mens Room. Seriously, shes awesome and so is this establishment. Its not just a haircut, its a whole experience. I never really got how people ever saw haircuts as more than a chore until I came here. I always walk out feeling fantastic and well cared for. It took me 6 years in Portland to find the right place for my hair, and Mens Room is it!

Went in for a haircut and asked about a beard trim, the cut was decent. When it came time for the beard I was told, lets see how much time we have, instead of getting a full trim, the girl spent about a minute hitting the flyaway hairs with a buzzer. That was $20 extra on top of the $42 cut, towel and shampoo. Should have went to a regular barbershop and then taken $40 out of my wallet and lit it on fire = same result.

The way barbershops should be. The works all the way through the cut. Excellent staff that knows what they are doing! Plus beer, coffee, a pool table, comfy couch and an Xbox.

I placed a appointment for 630pm on a Monday and was double booked. I was called and told it would be another 15-20 minute wait after that at 6pm. The last thing I want to do is have to pay $40+ plus be expected to tip for a rushed haircut. Thank you for waiting for the last possible moment to call too ensuring I wouldnt be able to go anywhere else. It was supposed to be my first time going there.

Got my haircut and beard trimmed here just before my wedding. They were very pleasant, did a great job and got me in and out quite quickly.

The place sounds great: beer, haircut, beard trim.But the staff isnt well trained, waited an extra 15 minutes while they stood around and talked. Beer selection is garbage when located in a state that has and incredible amount of craft breweries. Who the hell wants piss water beer like PBR WHEN ALLAGASH BREWERY IS DOWN THE STREET!I went to get my bear trimmed and they cut one side way to short compared to the other side.

The atmosphere is nice and so is the massage and all the little amenities but the haircut I got was simply rushed and not a good haircut .. I went there for a haircut not a massage, and left with a bad one for 50$ where I could have spent much less and gotten a much nicer snip down the road. The woman just seemed rushed and stressed and not interested in spending much time on my hair
