Found Kingdom Kutz through word of mouth... Going in just waiting for my son to get his haircut is a riot and a half. Each time I go in I walk out laughing like I had just been at a comedy show.Not to mention the haircut always comes out sharp.Get a haircut and improve your day in one place!

Took my son to get his hair touched up. Our barber did amazing and was patient when my son wasnt to happy about how loud the clippers sounded. Would highly recommend this place

I came in, and sat down. They got to me pretty quick. I asked for a philly fade and came out with a high top. I was speaking up about it, but the guy just gravitated to the high top fade. And didn’t care about completing my hair cut. I came out with scabs. Where he cut my hairline. I didn’t feel it at the time but. I’m not impressed. There the closest black barber shop in my area.

My first experience at a barber shop as opposed to a corporate haircutting factory. Got my head shaved after 2 years without a cut as I slowly lost the war against going bald. Turns out I couldnt rock a skullet after all. Aye Jay did a great job and I was impressed that the clippers didnt snag once. Ill make this my regular place if theyll have me and might even get haircuts less than 2 years apart

The only place I go. The owner LaRue is very friendly and makes every client feel like family. The whole vibe of the shop makes you feel like youre sitting in a room full of your family just having a normal talk. The best place to go in the city of Portland. Theyre very multicultural with the types of hair and styles they can deal with

Great place to get lined up for sure. Locally owned Barbershops like this are so much better than larger chains. Its like comparing a nice restaurant to a fastfood place.

Worst customer service ive ever seen. They will belatedly ignore you when you walk in and you better have some sort of melanin in your skin or you are the very last priority. They will have 4 of their buddies walk in after you and walk out before you. Not a business just a chill pad for the crew to get some cuts.

Rue the owner will give you one of the best fades you have ever had. I do not find many barbers that can get as close to the skin with their buzzers as he does. I usually get a military cut, and he does a damn good job! Reasonable price for a precision fade in Portland too; for what he does, most places in the area charge $30+I will also say the barbershop talk is always on point - this is one of my favorite parts of this place. Always laughing and having a good time in there.I would not doubt that the other barbers in there give a mean cut as well based on the fades I see come out of here.

If I could give zero starts, I would! Very disappointed and very surprised about their high reviews. Was told not to set an appointment and just come in, but then had to wait over an hour because of all the appointments. Then when I asked for something very specific and simple (a high fade) I got something completely different, an uneven trim and no fade. I could have done better myself with my clippers at home, which is exactly what I did afterwards to fix it. Please don’t waste your money. Go support another black owned barbershop that actually cares about the clients and not just their friends.

I walked into this disaster of a barber shop on a Saturday morning. There were a total of 8 people in the shop and nobody was wearing a mask. The shop also feels dirty and unsanitary. When I walked in, with my child, nobody acknowledged our presence. They didn’t ask what I needed, tell me they would be with me soon, nothing. Every other word was a cuss word and they made very thinly veiled references to sex. I just left and drove across town to another shop, Platinum Fade, which was amazing and will be my go-to shop from here on out. I live minutes from Kingdom Kuts but will NEVER step foot in there again. Period.

I wouldnt recommend going to Kingdom Cuts my barber didnt do my hair the way I asked for it to be done and on top of that didnt stop talking to everybody that walked in the door. This person stopped cutting my hair to have a conversation with everybody that walked in the door terrible service I will never go back!

Only place left that I know of th at you can still get a haircut for less than 20 bucks. Ive tried several barbers, a couple excellent one a couple average one and one or two not very good ones. But Classic Barber Shop atmosphere and they even got bootleg DVDs along with the Rowdy loud talking of women, parties and other debauchery. Classic place for fades

First time in this barbershop and had a great experience. I recently moved from Seattle after 1.5 years and previously lived in KC for 10+ years. After googling barbers near me, I decided to hop into this shop based off of reviews and photos online. Called the day before to make an appointment and LaRue, the barber/owner, said he could get me in the next day when they opened at 10. I like a high and tight skin fade and he hooked it up. After LaRue finished, I told him I liked it even shorter on the sides. He took a foil to it and didnt seem the slightest bit annoyed that he had to go over it again. LaRue was nice and easy to talk to. Prices are great. Will definitely be back!

For starters, they can’t keep track of who comes in and will have you waiting behind people who came in 20 minutes later than you. Also if you’re looking for someone that’s gonna rush you through his chair if his next cut is a regular JR is your guy. Dude gave me the most lazy fade I’ve ever gotten and took way more than I asked off the top, not to mention he’s just plain rude. So if you’re looking for a 5 minute haircut and to leave looking like a school shooter make sure to stop by!

Been looking for a while to find a place that would be able to cut both my hair and beard. JayR rocked it!!! I’ve been to 3 barbershops this is my 4th and I’m glad I found a great barber unfortunately it seems that I can only find someone who does a great job on my haircut however not a good trim of my beard or vice versa.
