I was recommended to go here by a customer of mine. I have a 99 jeep Cherokee, and the AC wasnt blowing very well. Id suffered for the handful of years Ive owned this vehicle. I stopped by on a a Thurs and had Larry the owner take a look. He had me bring my car Monday am, and when I dropped my car off he even asked if I needed a ride to work. Thankfully I wasnt without my vehicle for long, and the price was more than affordable. $75 for the part, and to think I drove around for how many years thinking my AC was just not that great. I ran into another issue, called Larry and they got my car in and out promptly. I will recommend anyone who asks about AC work to this man. He and his team are competent, swift and no frills. They tell you exactly whats wrong, and what itll take to fix.

I called Friday morning explaining my air was not as cold as it should be. My car is a mini and new to me but I bought it used. He said I could come by in the afternoon. Larry checked it over (while socially distancing). He explained a few quirks of this type of car then explained the reason it wasnt cooling properly. He said if it didnt improve on a super hot sunny day to bring it back. It works well now and he would not even accept a tip for his time. A true gentleman and smart business man. The AC in my car has needed repair and/or recharging for a while. After calling a few places, I just dropped in at American Auto Air on Tamiami Trail (Hwy. 41) in Port Charlotte. I pulled the car in, walked into the office, the owner operator (Larry) walked in from the garage, asked if I needed my AC recharged, then asked me to pull the car up to the recharge station. He hooked it up, charged it up, I paid him $50, and I drove away literally less than 10 minutes later with the car AC on and cold. The system charged up just fine. He also told me that if it leaked down again in the next month to bring it back, and hed credit the $50 recharge fee to any repair. I dont remember when Ive had better customer service.

What a find. My car ac died in July so I was miserable. Larry diagnosed the problem and solved the problem. He told me it would take a day and to bring my car early to drop it off. I was there at 8am when they opened. He asked me if I needed a ride back home and I said yes thinking one of his guys would take me but he surprised me and gave me the keys to a van and let me use it until the ac was fixed. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. It’s hard to find a good mechanic. My ac is so cold now that I had to switch from the max setting to the lower setting.

We dealt with Larry for years and always has excellent service. We moved out of the area and are back for the season. Fortunately our air went out when we got to Florida and not somewhere else. Larry fixed it so we now have ice cold air. We bought this car used and when Larry was fixing it he found some issues that someone had put a bandaid on instead of properly fixing them. They are now properly fixed. You can always count on Larry to be honest and do a great job at a very reasonable price.

Every single time Ive had a A/C issue Ive come here! Every single time Ive been treated with respect and most importantly HONESTY! In todays society everyone just wants to make quick money. You cannot put a price tag on good old fashioned respect, honesty, and integrity! I went in yesterday after getting the run around from harbor Nissan (where I bought it), and gettel Chrysler/dodge/jeep. They helped me quickly because I had a one year old baby in the car! Best place in town I promise!

Just cant say enough nice about Larry and American Auto Air. Just had a minor complaint about a vibration which I thought mmight be from the air conditioning compressor. Larry inspected the system and said the compressor needed to be replaced. It was under the house warranty so it was done promply at no charge. If you need auto air maintenance or repair, you cant/wont find a nicer nor more relaible facility. Fair pricing goes without saying!
