I love this place, a husband and wife team who are fast, friendly and do a great job (I’ve had a lot of bad experiences at other salons). They have a ton of colors and always offer the latest thing (the magnetic cat eyes).Now open after Covid, they have taken steps to ensure health and safety including hand sanitizer when you walk in, temperature checks, barriers at manicure and pedicure stations and locking front door to prevent people from walking in - they’re temporarily offering appointment only to limit the number of customers in the salon.

Solar nails is great place to get a manicure or pedicure. Rosa, the proprietor, keeps stock of the latest colors and has a huge variety to choose from. She stays up to date on the latest nail trends if you want something special. The shop is very clean and comfortable. I have seen her for years, and get compliments on my nails all the time. She gives a really outstanding pedicure, especially if you get “the luxury”, with a wonderful leg and foot massage including hot stone and pressure point work. She is a friendly, kind hearted person and I always enjoy my time with her, or her sister Tammy or husband Don, who also work in the shop. Great gel manis, sets, dips, etc.

Great Pedicure - I went to Rosa after reading glowing reviews about her and they were spot on. One of the reasons I was looking for a change from my old salon was the fact they overbooked, I would wait up to 1/2 hour or longer. At Solar Nails I walked right in and got into one of their very comfortable massage chairs. It is a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere and my foot and leg massage was fantastic. I cant say enough good things about Solar Nails and I will surely be back.

Best dip manicures around. They do a great job at building and shaping the nails and they are so friendly! I told them I play volleyball and they make sure to make my nails a little stronger for that. I cant say enough great things about Solar Nail!

I have been going here for the past 5 months. I was very impressed with the work and friendliness of everyone there. Rosa and Don own the salon and Don has been doing my nails since I first came in. I was impressed from the beginning. This is the first time I did not have to go in every two weeks for a fill. I started with acrylic - which I had done for years and years. He then convinced me to try gel polish which was a great idea and now I am giving the dipped nail polish a try to better protect my nails. I highly recommend this salon.

After not be completely happy with nail salons in a nearby city I live in I googled other salons and chose to try solar nails because of their high ratings and Im glad I did! I went with a friend and got our nails done, not only did they repetitively went over my actual skin with the nail file but not even having them done for a full two days one broke off. They aren’t very durable nails. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I LOVE ROSA! Rosa has been doing my nails for at least 3 years, and she never fails to disappoint. I’m extremely picky about my nails- when it’s for a full set or just a basic manicure, Rosa has done it all and I always leave extremely happy!! She’s the sweetest woman, and I actually followed her here from a different salon- that’s how much I love her. I pay a little more here for my fills/dip set, but I would pay 100$ if I needed to to have her do my nails. She’s quick, efficient and knows 120% what she is doing. In the past before Rosa I was never satisfied with my nails, I would always be nicked with the Dremel or have excess nail polish on my skin— never Rosa. Fabulous job again as usual Rosa! Definitely recommend her. The salon is on the small side, but you won’t be disappointed with how clean it is, also the quality you will get!!

I visited this salon for the first time today, and I had a great experience! I called yesterday for an appointment at 10am and had no trouble getting in on a Saturday. Its a small place, but not crowded, I think there were maybe 4-5 other customers while I was there.Both the men who did our pedicures were very nice and did a great job! Nothing hurt, which is usually a big deal for me, when other places cut too deep. The massage felt great, and the products were worth it! I did the Deluxe pedicure, and I was never pressured to upgrade. The prices are the same as other salons, but the service I received here will make this my new go-to!

I just moved from Minnetonka and wanted to find someplace a bit closer than my previous nail salon. Had a great experience today with Kim and Solar Nails. They just reopened a month ago. My pedicure and gel manicure was $55. She was meticulous. It took 1.5 hours.

Called in on short notice to book 2 mani/pedis for that afternoon. Was given two options and I took the later time. After chatting with the guest I was taking with me, called back about 15 minutes later to see if I could still that the earlier time. Unfortunately, it had gotten booked- no biggie. Rosa went out of her way to call me back a little while later to let me know a time opened up between the two and offered it to me. This was our first time going to Solar nails and I was so impressed! My guest and I both just had a classic manicure and pedicure and it was by far the best one Ive had! I tend to be very particular about the application of the polish and it turned out smooth and super shiny! I will definitely go back when Im in the area!

I chose this location since it was close to my parents’ home when we were staying with them. I was very impressed by the manicure I recieved! Rosa suggested powder dip for me, so I went with it and it was great! I have bad nails to work with, and she did a great job taking time to shape them and make them look much better! Stay away from this place unless you want cellulitis from too close cuticle trimming. Happy cut into the sides of my nails which caused permanent deformity. Totally incompetent and dangerous technicians. How they remain in business is beyond me. I had to give it one star in order to post my comments, but they deserve zero.

I had 4 in my group and hadnt made an appointment. We called and they said they could get us in, in about an hour. When we got there we had time to pick our polish and waited maybe 5-10 minutes. The ladies and gentlemen were great! They talked with us and did a wonderful job. They made the environment so relaxing and we didnt feel rushed at all. I would recommend this place!

Sad to report I got cellulitis after receiving a pedicure at this shop. The people are nice and even give shoulder massages while nails cure, but they just don’t keep it clean enough to be safe. I hope owners will read this and be more diligent. A pretty pedi was no good with a big red painful rash all over my leg.

A friend recommended Solar Nails, as she had received great service from Rosa in the past at other places, so decided to give them a try. I dont often do mani/pedis, but after my experience with both Rosa and Don, Im just not sure theres really any reason to DIY it anymore. The pedicures are fabulous, complete with foot massage, and Ive tried the dipping powder nails twice now for the manicure. Ive never had polish, even gel polish, hold up on my fingernails before. My first one lasted for four weeks, and even then only needed to be redone because they had grown so long. And they are shaped and filed so beautifully. And the salon is so clean and bright, and Rosa and Don are so friendly, Id highly recommend them to anyone.
