I have been to tailors in major cities across the US as well as abroad and Lulu is one of the best Ive ever worked with! She is friendly, professional and highly skilled.I had major alterations planned for my wedding dress and a very specific idea of what I wanted in the end. Other tailors told me they couldnt do it or quoted me outrageous prices. Lulu not only offered to do it for a fair price, she smiled and said, I love a challenge! She is a wonderful person and easy to work with. She is a credit to her profession and her results speak for themselves. Highly recommended for any alteration needs!

Lu is a very affordable and professional seamstress. She basically reconstructed 7 articles of custom (traditional Nigerian) clothes for such a reasonable price, I almost cried. She is quick and very reliable with her work! From lace to Ankara to George, she does it all. If you are looking for someone to redo you’re traditional pieces, you can trust her with them :)

LuLu was awesome! I had a last minute denim zipper repair that I needed done in a day. She responded quickly, told me I could drop the shorts off sameday and they’d be ready the next day. Sure enough she came through and got the job done quickly and at an affordable price!

I brought 10 shirts and 2 sets of scrubs to Dolly to get tailored. I was very particular with my requests to get the perfect fit. She was able to alter all the garments which were hugely varied in their sizes in different regions - some had longer sleeves while others had wider fits around the abdomen and arms. Despite this huge variance, Dolly needed minimal measurements on a few shirts to perfect them all. I was rightfully worried that my confused and detailed instructions would have resulted in some oversight in the final product. However, I was pleasantly surprised when every single piece fit even better than I had envisioned. To top off the excellent work, the entire job was extremely well priced at about 50% of what I would have had to pay at most other tailors. Lastly, Dolly and Lulu who run the shop together were charming and fun throughout the entire process.

AMAZING Tailor! I brought in a dress for my friends wedding that was five sizes too big. In a week it was taken in and hemmed in all the right places. I went back to pick it up, tried it on, and we both agreed it wasn’t quite right. After two more alterations in less than 30 minutes I left with a dress that I felt excited about wearing and such a fun experience. I can’t wait to have another dress altered here. Would recommend!

I am from out of state and had a 3 week work assignment in Pittsburgh. I needed a bridesmaids dress altered because I was in a wedding the weekend after the assignment. Lulu did an excellent job and worked quickly. Pricing was reasonable and the same as I would pay at home. She took up the length on the dress for me. The dress was super low cut and she could tell I was a bit uncomfortable in it when I tried it back on after she originally altered it (just the style of the dress). She offered to alter the top while I was there (finished right in front of me and didn’t even charge me extra) to make sure I felt good in the dress. Very accommodating and above and beyond what I expected. Good communication via text.

LuLu took my wedding dress in and made it look AMAZING. Fair pricing and she was able to accommodate me even though I only had a month until the wedding. You couldn’t even tell it was altered and looks twice as good as it initially did!

Lulu was AMAZING! She totally did what i asked and even a little more in the time limit that i needed and she even stayed later after the shop closed cause i couldnt make it at the time i told her i would be there. She is so down to earth and all over just an amazing person. Im 100% going back to her if i need to and i 100% recommend her to you :)

Lulu fixed my wedding dress last minute when another tailor did a poor job fitting the dress around my hips and sewing on buttons that didnt look very neat. She did a great job and charged a reasonable price.Ive also used her for fixing holes in favorite sweaters - they look as good as new afterwards!Ive had her alter a couple of suits. She was honest about the ones she didnt think would turn out well (too many sizes too big) and did a good job on the others.

Absolutely amazing! Marie Lou went above and beyond to get my bridesmaids dress to fit. She stayed late and arrived at the shop early so that I could pick the finished dress up the day of the wedding. Will recommend her to friends and family.

She was able to salvage to pairs of selvedge denim jeans for me - one pair crucially ripped to what seemed to be beyond repair and the other about to suffer the same fate. I suggested using the completely torn pair for scrap material to rehabilitate the ailing pair. To my surprise, she was able to repair both pairs and did an outstanding job with extremely quick turn around time and for a very reasonable price. I will absolutely be returning to Lulu for any alterations or repairs.

This was an incredibly accurate, attentive & extraordinarily timely experience. Being new to Pittsburgh I had no idea where to go so trusted Google would point me in the right direction. Sure did! I plan on going back time and time again for quick fixes like zippers, repairs, alterations, etc.

Lulu was very nice and accommodated a quick tuen on an alteration for me. When looking for them they are in the law office building up on the 16th floor. There is no sign at street level.

Lulu is the best of the best. Of she cant reweave it, it cant be done! She has fixed holes in several garments that saved them (and saved me the cost of replacing them).

I went to another tailor to fix a damaged zipper and they told me that they could fix the zipper; when it was all done the zipper was still damaged. I was disappointed because I wasted $$$$. So I decided to go Lulus a ng give them a chance and I must say I was not disappointed. I told them that I needed a zipper replacement and they did want I wanted in the 1st place. I tried them on and I am very pleased. I will go back to them anytime.

I’ve been coming to LuLu for rewearing since 2013 and have never been disappointed. Living in New York City now, I still send her via FEDEX my trousers, suits, blazers, and sweaters. She is just that good.Marco

Beyond disappointed. Paid $35 to have a new zipper put on my backpack. It was not ready until almost a week after Lulu said it would be done and the zipper is rusty and is extremely difficult to use. She kept telling me to put candle wax on the zipper to make it better which infuriated me considering that I was paying her for this service. After telling her I didnt have a candle she then told me I could get one at church which infuriated me even more. Immediately after leaving the shop I went back because there were holes in my backpack along the zipper that she had not even bothered to fix. Cannot believe she charged me that much for such awful service. Do not bother going. It is a waste of money and your order will not be ready on time.

I took my jeans here torn on the seams and some in crotch area and near pockets, she managed to make the fix so unnoticeable. the best jeans repair i ever had, if i can give her 10 stars i would, even the prices are the best in town, will recommend this shop to everyone, the BEST JEANS REPAIR SHOP!

I had a costume for my daughters dance competition that needed altered. I called and even though she was booked she fit us in. She didnt charge me extra for it being last minute and did a fabulous job on the costume which she did same day for me. I would recommend them to ANYONE.

If I have to call every day for a month to just get you on the phone...not worth the grief...reweaving looked like a clumsy patch.

I dropped an item off for some reweaving work, I did not receive the item back for a month and a half and there was no work done to my item. I will never use this service again! Complete waste of time!
