Was a client for over 15 years but now I will never come back. The owner of this place called my little sister out for being a liar. My little sister had made an appointment for me, her and my fiancé. We all showed on time and sat and waited to be served, which is normal on most circumstances. However when it was our time the owner told us that we had spots for only 2 and that they were busy and could not help out third. My sis proceeded to say that when she called yesterday that she made the appointment for three of us. But this is where she lost a customer for life as the owner proceeded to shout across the floor and say “nope it was for two! And we can only do two!”Extremely rude and disrespectful. She could have handled it much more professionally. However making my little sister out to be a liar set me off and I said “ well we can just leave and go somewhere else”I would not recommend this place and will never come back .

I’ve been coming here for almost 5 years now. The service is great and the staff is friendly.I recently made the shift from acrylic to hard gel tips. What a game changer!! The tips are thinner, stronger, hold color better and feel so much more like your real nails. These tips don’t lift AND go longer between fills. I can’t recommend them enough!!!!!

I have been coming here since moving to Ahwatukee about 6 months ago and wont go elsewhere. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming and the services are top notch. I get a gel manicure every 2 weeks with either Kim or Henry. I have also had a few spa pedicures that are fab and affordable :) Im very happy to have found Bamboo and will continue to go to them!

This is how I felt after the first time .... One of the best pedicures ever! I had Henry and he was great. Love my toes!Now I have changed my review to one star. The lady Ive had the last few times is an older lady and does not speak English at all. She doesnt understand simple questions or directions.My toenails have to be cut on the sides or theyll get ingrown. Can never get her to understand and she hurt me last time and then just left it (right big toe) and I had to take care of it myself when I got home. You would think shed remember me from the previous visits???BUT, the straw that broke it is that the place is advertised to be open until 7pm. My appt was over a few minutes before 6 and I was waiting for my toes to dry before leaving. They basically closed up the place and turned the lights out while I was sitting there.Well, I got the message loud and clear to leave so I did ... I left and I wont be back.Buh bye ....Learn to

Bamboo nails is the absolute best! I’ve been going for years and am always so pleased with the service and quality of my gel manis and pedis. Kim, the owner, does the very best hard gel manicures. I had never heard of this before, but my nails last for three entire weeks and are the healthiest they’ve ever been!

I started going to Bamboo Nails when I moved to Ahwatukee 2 years ago. I since moved out of the area but still travel 25 minutes to get there. Kim, the owner, is so professional and funny and her staff and salon is amazing, clean, warm and inviting. I am never disappointed with the service provided. Calling ahead to book your appointment is the way to go so there is little to no waiting when you arrive. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone!

25+ years of pedicure first time I get scam on a pedicure. I could tell lady was amateur and I asked other lady working there was she new and she smiled and say no. By the way she handle tools and touch feet like she was afraid to get down with it I was sure she was new.She was an older lady so I figured to see what happened maybe she’s at end of career LSS...polished looked like a kid did it.I left but not happy my problem is not with lady but with business you should no better.Mediocracy has become the new norm.

I gave this place one more chance and the nail technician did another awful job. She seems rushed and put out to be there. She talks and looks at her phone the entire time. The whole experience is bad and the finished product looks like someone who has never done nails before and just threw something on your fingers. Highly disappointed and this is the second time, so never again for me!

They were wattt over priced for short nails n they aren’t colored good she got nail polish on my hand didn’t clean it up she as very in professional n kept up n leaving while doing my nails

This place is just ok. This is the first place I had acrylic nails straight up pop off my nails. I think they do a rushed job. Pedicures are alright but overpriced in my opinion. Im going to go elsewhere.

I went last 7/28 to get my nails done (SNS) and I only waited about 10 minutes, they were super nice. However, my nails chipped (two nails) two days later, went back to get them fixed. It hasnt even been a full two weeks, and over half my nails have chipped and one actually came off. I spent 40 dollars to get my nails done and this is what happens. I shouldnt have to consistently go back to get them fixed. I have never had this happen. I will never go back.

My nail tech Mimi is the best! I had a bad experience at a neighboring nail salon when I first met Mimi and she’s done an amazing job on my nails. She was busy and I had to go to a different nail salon my last visit and that nail salon did a horrible job on my manicure!!!! That one visit made my natural nails brittle and tear. Once again, I went back to Mimi and she did an amazing job! I’ve learned my lesson, I will never go anywhere else! The salon is so professional anyone that comes will have an awesome experience!

I do not recommend this place. My gel polish didnt last long. It came off less than a week, I am very disappointed. I usually get gel and last for at least 3-4 weeks without chipping. If I can give negative star I would. Definitely not going back. Waste of time and money.Update: I couldnt agree more with Maddy G! I usually dont have time to write reviews as Im always busy. I am not happy how they charge me $80 for something not even worth a penny. I just happened to stopped by around this area while waiting for a friend I figured why not do my nails while I wait. It was a wrong move! I should have read reviews first before I actually step foot in this place. Service are horrible. The lady name Kim doesnt talk good English, she doesnt understand what I really want in my nails in the first place. So she had to ask somebody else to translate it in her language. She then started doing my nails but have to go back and forth to check out some customers, answers phone calls, all this while shes doing my nails. My nails chipped after literally 4 days! I had to have it redone in other nail salon as they claim that its been four days and they will only have to fix it if it happens within 24 to 48 hours. How horrible! So fine I dont want to argue but here I am writing this because I am beyond pissed. I am not happy spending $80 for some crappy service. Do not go to this nail salon!

Best experience Ive had in years! The staff was so friendly and helpful! You can really tell they care and they are extremely clean! They did both my nails and toes at the same time which made me feel so pampered as well as time efficient! Would definitely recommend!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have a gift card to this place, so it was my first time in. Upon walking in the lady who greeted my was rude and clearly in a rush. She had me sit for a few moments while I chose my color, upon sitting to begin my nails she immediately pulls out her phone to make a phone call while doing my nails. I pulled back- stating that I would wait until she was finished with her call, she was visibly angry- so I asked if I could come another time. She said she could reload my gift card. I asked for a receipt for the reload and she made a rude remark, and hastily handed me my receipt. She was dressed in nothing but a sports bra and leggings. I did not get her name. How disappointing of a first impression.

Kim is the owner and she does my dip powder nails to perfection. They are incredibly durable - Im very hard on them and four weeks later, they look as good as the first day. Bamboo Nail Spa has been in business in Ahwatukee for over 15 years - the longest consecutively managed and own by the same person. I try to be socially conscious of where Im spending my money and feel good about supporting a minority female, single mom of four, immigrant owned, local business.

I love this place! Always so clean and welcoming! I regularly come to get pedicures and dip manicures, and Ive never have any issues with my nails. The techs are very skilled and friendly!

I was so impressed with this nail salon. Everyone who works there speaks great English and they are so friendly. I had Andy doing my nails and he did them better than the picture that I showed him. I will be making this my only nail salon that I go to.

I love bamboo nails. It has a spa atmosphere and plays very peaceful music. What I like most is a product called hard gel. It is fantastic!! I get a French style and it lasts about 4 weeks with no lifting. I used to do acrylic nails and this product lasts longer, is more natural looking and does not damage your nails! I highly recommend both bamboo nails salon and the hard gel product!

I lived by here for 3 years and would go during that time but I’ve moved to another part of Phoenix and I have tried several other places and they are all terrible! So I drive all the way out here to get my nails done! Exceptional work, great prices, and quality services. I never feel rushed (unless I need to rush). I won’t go anywhere else.

Ive tried out a few places in town for the SNS dip and Bamboo Nails Spa has been my favorite. They are able to get me in and out of the salon. They have one of the larger color sections and the SNS has always lasted at least three weeks.

The only reason they got 2 stars, was because my pedicure was good. I had SNS done and within 3 days the were breaking and chpping. Now that they are growing out, the base of the SNS isnt flush with my nails so it snags almost everything. Wont be going back here.

Ive been going here for over 5 years, love the look of the entire salon and they dont just have pedicure chairs lined down the wall. They are in their own room which is great! Amazing sugar scrubs as well!!

If I could give 0 starts I would. I recently moved out here and was recommended this place. I arrived and had to wait at least 30 mins when I had an apt @1, the lady that did my nails rushed them.. I’ve never seen someone put so much acrylic on and in less then 10 mins.... I am very disappointed would never go back or recommend to anyone

I have had acrylic nails since i was 18. Over the past years I have tried different salons even nail dipping. Nail Dipping was okay but when I went back to Kim she told me about hard/build up gel and BOY!!! what a difference!!! There is no hard filing your nails like acrylic or removing like gel or dipping. there is a light buffing of the nails to get the shine off. they are light weight and dont lift at the tips or anywhere as the nails grow out. and the best thing of all it takes about 20 to 30 min and i go every 4.5 to 5 weeks for a fill. so at the cost of $35.00 it is cheaper and better for your nails. my nails are actually getting stronger as this i like a really hard coat of clear on my nails. I do yard work and dishes without gloves and no issues . Started using this product in Feb, you can paint them but i have always gone without polish. if you have acrylic, gel or dipping nails try this hard/build up nails. YOU WONT BE SORRY.

The fact that I walked in to no greeting was already frustrating. The lady who did my nails kept trying to talk me out of the nail idea that I wanted but was finally persistent when I stood my ground. I messed my nail up and with a quick roll of her eyes and snarky remark she fixed. When I was unsatisfied with one nail I begged for someone else to do it that wasn’t her. The whole time that I’ve been sitting in this nail salon she’s been giving me grimy looks from across the way. I’ve never been more frustrated coming to a nail salon my entire life. Everybody else though I may add including the guy at the front counter where very understanding. I hope nobody else receives this HORRIBLE service!!!!

I always get great service & my nails are always beautiful when I leave. I have gone 4 weeks and sometimes longer (depending on my schedule) before getting a fill and don’t experience any lifting or breakdown in the product ( Gel).. 😇

I dont understand why people give this place a lower rating...Ive been coming here for years and the quality has always been spectacular. Most recently, I got one of their $35 pedicures that included your choice of in-house made sugar scrub/leg/foot massage and it was divine. I appreciate the seats have an individual remote/massager and the whole experience lets me unwind. They have coupons in the ValPac coupons mailed to your house and also on their website that you can print out to save you a few dollars.

Low Quality work, Kim layered to much paint on acrylic nails that smudged, bubbled and took over 39 minutes to dry. We had to repaint at home. Waste of $35. Very disappointed. Kim was more interested in other individuals working and fixing her iPad than working on job at task.

I really dont even know where to begin with this experience. The salon is very clean and they have a great selection of colors. I love my nail color! I went for an sns manicure and this was my first time at this salon, but not my time having this type of service done. While taking off my previous color, the woman who was working on me started to perform the typical manicure steps on the nails she could. As she was clipping away the side skin, after pinching me for the 4th time on the same nail, she finally broke my skin. Ouch! She apologized, but after that told me another woman would be doing my nails and only finished removing the old polish. The fun continued with the next nail tech. The second tech finished my sns manicure in about 30 minutes, with 10-12 of minutes her being with ANOTHER client to finish their nails! The second tech asked me if I had this service before and I said yes, several times. She did only two coats of color, didnt shape or smooth my nails after applying the dip and I didnt even have me rinse my hands, which is one of the steps in the process. She did NOTHING to make sure my nails were even, so now theyre various lengths. Theyre also uneven to the touch because she did not do any quality control to make sure theyre even and natural looking. The salon did take $5 off the service due to my cut with the first tech, but unfortunately the rest of my experience did not live up to the other $35 I paid. Ive never felt so rushed and processed while at a salon. My sister-in-law made us appointments, so we were not walk-ins. Beware of this salon, the atmosphere may seem relaxing, but the service and attitudes will have your anxiety going through the roof.

Ive been coming here for 5+ years now. Kim is the only person I trust to do my nails. Ive lived in Chandler, Tempe, Ahwatukee, and now Scottsdale and I still drive to go see Kim. Highly recommended, make sure you go check them out!

I paid a dip manicure also know as gel powder. It normally lasts 3 weeks. Everyone was very nice but I had lifting and chipping of my polish in a week. This is very disappointing since I paid $35. I wont be back.

Girl worked so fast she took off some skin. No client waiting so no need to rush. Fileing was very uneven, nails were not symmetrical. Within a week I was getting chips. The reviews were so good, so dont understand why I received such shoddy work.

One star for my pedicure because it was at least decent, however, my manicure was a completely different story.I came in with a group of my 4 bridesmaids we all got pedicures which were great and they did a great job on our toes. When it came time for manicures, I got probably the WORST polish change ever, I thought I was on some prank show. I typically do gel over my acrylic nails and had recently had a fill so I decided to just do regular polish over my acrylic. My bridesmaids and I all had matching polish.Not only was my Tech sloppy, she was rude rude rude! She literally threw the polish over my nails and turned on this smelly old fan for me to dry my nails. She must have put some kind of bad top coat on my nails because the polish began to wrinkle and bubble. I asked her if this was normal and was very polite, she responded rudely rolling her eyes that it was because I had my fingers to close to the fan. She then shooed me out of her chair. Upon further inspection, it was the worst polish job I have ever had! I went up to the front to politely ask if what my nails looked like was normal and was told it was all my fault that my nails looked that way because I must have bumped them. Unbelievable! I then asked if I could just do gel and have someone else re-do my nails, but they paired me with the same lady.I picked my color and she had me wait 5 minutes while she was on the phone with WellsFargo! She also rubbed her nose, scrolled through Facebook and rolled her eyes at me in between applying the gel and having my fingers under the UV light. It ended up looking horrible! I was devastated as this was the day before my wedding.This place is unprofessional and unclean. Dont waste your money here as there are so many better places in town who do a way better job and arent so rude and mean.If you are having a bad day, dont take it out on paying customers. This is YOUR work you are advertising to the world, maybe think about hiring better people to work for you.

Do not even think about going to this place to get your nails done! The guy who did my nail did not know what he was doing. Did a horrible job on my nail. After waiting for my friend to pay. I said to her this place is really pricey since I paid 70 for a pedicure and manicure adding cullus and gel for my manicure. The lady who worked there had the nerve to say you pay for what you get. After 2 days my gel manicure started to peel off. ERRRR not happy at all! I do not recommend at ALL!!!!!

I have visited this nail salon three times since moving to PHX and each time resulted in a fabulous experience. The hostess and all of the nail techs, including the manager, are very personable and welcoming. The pedicure I received was amazing; after 2 weeks, my toe nails are even, the polish is still intact, and my feet are smooth. I get an SNS manicure from Andy every time I go and he does the best job! He genuinely cares about his work/clients and always wows me with his precision and skill. I have been getting SNS for over a year now and I can honestly say Andy has outdone all previous nail techs that I’ve had before. I will continue to return to this salon and I highly recommend it to all. Please visit!

I come here almost every time I get my nails done, and never had any major problems. The decor is wonderful and inviting, and the atmosphere is quite relaxing. Ive gotten a few pedicures, gel manicure, and full p&w acrylic set over the past few years. The salon is always very clean and from what I remember (its been a while), they use new tools straight out of a package for each procedure. They also keep their pedicure tubs very clean with the use of a disposable liner, as well as wear latex gloves when giving pedicures. The staff can be a bit distant sometimes, but always accommodating. Ive never made an appointment, but I always go during off hours, so Ive never had to wait over 20 minutes. Side note: they take cards, but only accept CASH for tips. An ATM is available for your convenience.I am pretty sure Kim did my set of acrylics, and given this was the first time I got them done, I was pleased with how well she did them in a relatively short amount of time. My only problem was that there were a few air bubbles and a tiny strand of hair in one of my nails. Odd.. but a) I didnt really care too much, and b) they still looked fantastic from a distance. Thinking back on it now, I think she rushed it a bit, so keep that in mind when getting any acrylic work done. The other slight problem was when I got my gel manicure. The color I chose did not work out because the polish brush was a bit mangled (think: worn out toothbrush) and resulted in a rough polish job right off the bat. The tech politely requested I chose another color and fixed my nail, which was not a big deal at all.. Im pretty flexible.Overall I really enjoy this salon and would definitely recommend it to others. Their prices are a bit higher than most small neighborhood salons, but it is definitely worth it. My manicures and pedicures always last, and when I want to feel pampered (and can afford it) I definitely stop by.

My mom and I LOVE this nail spa! You can definitely see why they won Best of Ahwatukee for a few years in a row. The place is very clean and zen like- I love the waterfall behind the front counter and the little Buddha statues as soon as you walk in. All of the nail techs are very kind and take great care in what they do, you can tell they all have fun working together and will make sure to customize your mani/pedi to your liking. They have a wide variety of nail polish and the sugar scrubs are amazing too! This is my favorite nail spa! Id recommend Bamboo Nail Spa to anyone in need of a little pampering.

I had a gel color change done on Thursday that they charged me $20 for by Sunday there were air bubbles everywhere I cant back in on Monday to have them redone because of their mistake and they tried to charge me $20 again... I told I just had them done by them on Thursday and they just kept ignoring me... She then goes OK OK and grabs my pinky to start filing it. I snatched my hand and asked her how much she was charging... She walks away and comes back and says $15... Are you kidding me??? Horrible!
