Great gym, owners are very friendly and personable. Great array of equipment. Hardcore environment, not for your big box gym goers. Also has a smoothie/juice/supplement bar if that’s your jam.

I tried canceling my membership in person years ago and it was never canceled. I essentially gave up on it, but the bullet and paid the monthly fee. I recently decided to give cancelling it another shot seeing as I don’t go there any longer nor live close to it. This gym is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of and they will not return your calls.I have reached out to my credit card company, received a new card/cancelled the old one and was thrown into collections. My new card has since been charged. This place is a scam and are committing fraud. Stay far away and read all the other negative reviews. I’m beyond livid at this point and have ZERO idea how they are still in business or haven’t been sued.

Great gym for serious and casual lifters. It can meet anyones personal lifting needs.

They never answer the phone and if you go there in person (during business hrs.) the doors are locked.

I dont recommend this place i went in person to get a membership and the doors were locked during the hours of service and then i called 5 times in a row and they didn’t even answer

I wouldn’t know how this place is. I called 4 times across 2 days to get a membership with no answer. I’ve heard some horrible things about this place as well. Stay away!

Amazing hardcore gym. Intense atmosphere and walking in just makes you want to work! Old real iron, great friendly people, multiple squat racks and actual deadlifting platforms, plenty of specific machines, a posing room, this is definitely the place to be if youre serious about lifting or are competing.

I have not been to this gym for almost a year, for multiple reasons. I have tried to call multiple times to only reach the same incredibly generic voicemail over and over without a return call. This gym charges more per month that most local (much cleaner!!!!!!) Gyms. I joined bc a friend of mine works there and was my personal trainer. They didnt even give their clients a break during the first round of Covid, as most gyms did... Very dissatisfied and still trying to cancel... Wi try to get there this week and will go to BBB if necessary.

This gym is freaking awesome. At first I wasnt too sure if it was or wasnt but it is, lol. I got a tour of the gym and it brought back memories from when I was in the Army, when my unit would have a small gym in the bays near by. This gym is for people who are serious about working out; whether it be for bodybuilding competitions or to get fit. The members and employees are super cool, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Ive met the owner and hes a really awesome guy and cares about the members who like to workout. I became a member a month ago but I havent tried some of their services as of yet but will be doing so real soon. This gym has a really cool & chill vibe, cool members, and best part is that I dont have to wait to use the equipment!

Ive been at this gym for more than a year! Great positive and motivating atmosphere. You will push your limits here and make those results! I recommend to everyone.

I love this gym! What a hidden gem and it is huge! You walk in and everyone is so friendly. It was like a city in a gym, as there was a barber, tanning, spa, smoothie and supplement store. They said daycare is opening up soon for us moms like us who want to get rid of our baby weight. So excited to get in amazing shape!!!

This gym has really great upper body plate loaded equipment. Hammerstrength, Life Fitness, old school Nautilus. Could use more leg equipment. Hardly anyone there late night (after 9 PM) trying to use the same machines.

This place is such an amazing place not only are the people that work there great but the environment inside the gym is astonishing.Very kid, friendly as well and has a lot to offer don’t sleep on this gym because of old rumors or made up things come take a look for urself!

One star simply because of the awful business etiquette and customer care. Ive tried calling and leaving voicemails which no body apparently checks. Then the only other point of contact I could find was an email address on the website which also no body checks apparently. I no longer live in the area and need my membership I havent used in months canceled and cant even do so because apparently no body is running the gym?! Then after spending an hour on the phone with your ABC Financial service who charges my bank account requires me to speak to a representative from the gym (Conveniently chosen by the gym vs letting the customer cancel over the phone) but I again cannot contact a representative of the gym due to NO BODY is running the gym. Only a matter of time before youre facing a lawsuit and the better business bureau for your lack of business ethics.

Awesome place, you have everything that you may looking in a gym and the rates are great.

As a business this place openly shares shameful photos of obese people buying candy bars on their professional page. Im kinda biased against obese people mysekf in all honesty and workout multiple times a day because I have a fear of being overweight again. But nobody deserves to be publicly shamed like this business has done.

This place looks super promising, but I have been calling them every day after work to inquire about their programs and rates, but no one ever answers their phone. Really disappointing.

-5 stars. Metroflex owner, Josh Barnett, is in violation of AZ Consumer Protection laws and doesnt care. Membership agreement, by law, has a clause that states if consumer should choose to cancel the agreement within 3 days of signing, they are entitled to a full refund. I chose to cancel services within this time frame, yet the gym ignored all requests for refund. 2 months advance payment was made for both myself and my spouse. Complaint had to be filed with the AZ consumer protection division. VERY shady operation and ownership!

I specifically asked when I joined this gym if they would try to take money off of my card every month and they told me no. I said good because Planet Fitness does that and that is the reason I will not join them. I paid $50 for a first month membership in the second month was supposed to be $25. After going the first visit no one was very friendly, no one offered to help or spot me and no gym staff was anywhere to be found. I felt very uncomfortable during my first visit and never returned. Then I found out the next month my card was being charged against my knowledge. Upon reading the reviews I am dealing with similar situations fortunately for me I was able to cancel my card and dispute the charges. Stay away from this gym the billing practices seem very dishonest.

A 24 hour gym that is dedicated to body building. Staff will help you reach your goals as will the gym memebers.

How do you get a response from Metroflex I paid my account off in April face to face with Josh and told him that we are not renewing and they started taking money out September and now October I think that is very shady way to do business I before doing this post have tried reaching out Josh to handle this but he does not respond I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Was going to check this gym out, but you guys should see the Instagram video that exposes a customers private account information. This is terrible customer service. Dont make it so hard for customers to cancel and maybe you wont have to waste time out of your day coming up with childish Instagram videos. Must be hurting for money I guess.

Worst customer service of any gym Ive dealt with, just try calling them and see. Over ten calls in two days to inquire about buying a pass while visiting and no answer.

This place is a building with gym equipment scattered all over. Its filthy......the equipment, bathrooms, floors are disgusting. I dont think any part of the building or its contents have ever been cleaned. Spend your money at a real gym, dont do to that place!

Had to cancel membership due to surgery. It took 4 certified letter, 8 months of arguing with Visa on my side. Contacted the Franchise owner. finally got the BUM to cancel membership and refund money. STAY AWAY
