I chose to Skip-the-Line for this rental. Although the model I requested wasn’t available, I was accommodated with something similar. The car was clean, but there was a faint scent of tobacco smoke that lingered. Due to an emergency, I had to extend my rental. That process was quick and efficient. When I returned the vehicle the attendant was professional, courteous, and even directed me to the shuttle area without having to be asked. Overall it was a good service with everyone I encountered.

Self check-in with the assistance of a staff member was amazing! It was the easiest and fastest process we have ever had, renting a car. The gentleman who assisted us was so friendly and helpful; Alamo should be so proud to have him as an employee. The only issues we had were 1) maintenance light was on the entire time we had the car 2) the car was not clean: papers in between the seats and very stained seats. Unfortunately we did not notice these items until we were driving out of the lot. The car drove fine and return of car was super. The young lady at car return was so friendly and efficient. Another amazing employee.

Make sure your quoted price is the price on the paper you sign!!!! They tried to charge us a whole extra day because we arrived 30 minutes early for pick up and asked to bring it back an hour later because of a flight change.A WHOLE DAY FOR 90 MINUTES! We asked them to delete the paperwork and we would go sit in the lobby for 30 minutes. The clerk deleted the extra 30 minutes, and the extra hour.We ended up an hour late, and the check in facility was kind enough to not add the hour.So... a rough experience at first, and they made up for it on the back end. It was not a bad experience, but couldve been better up front.

Young woman at the counter was very nice. When I went to get the car, the lady in the lot did not even get up, just pointed and said the red one. Asked if she could show me a couple things (current car is 2009 with nothing fancy). She said it would be easy to figure out and remained seated. Return was not smooth as it was dark and minimal signage to indicate the correct return location. Not at all impressed.

Great rental vehicle. We were offered several options for mid size SUV. Picked the Chevy Traverse because my son owns one and Id driven it before. The Traverse was brand new with 28 miles on the odometer. Very happy with the options given. Customer service was easy, except the counter check in agent offered a Land Rover for about the same price, which turned out to be $200 more for our 12 day stay; (not exactly what youd call about the same price being over 30% more). In the auto pick up area, I was confused as to which vehicle row we voted pick from and the gentleman attendant walk us over to where we could select same. Very good, friendly service. Return area, (same area), was easy also. Highly recommend Alamo for the Phoenix Sky Harbor rental & will use again on our next visit!

Are used to be branch manager for Enterprise at sky harbor, about five years ago. What a nice surprise to see Mike Lee Still working for the company. Mike met me at the counter and gave me a big hug for old times sake. He then proceeded to walk me down to my car, and he is a manager so it meant a lot to me that he would take the time to do that. Mike was thorough and very genuine, and it reminded me of why I rent from Alamo and Enterprise! Everyone else was incredibly nice to you in the process was fast, Which is great because I had my three-year-old with me. Can’t recommend enough, great operation and great people!

First I received an SUV with a tire warning. Second when I called to report it I got no answer. I kept the car bc it was a holiday weekend and I figured at minimum I’d add air. I returned the car two days later and Mikhail stood on the running board to see the top of the vehicle and said there were little dings. There wasn’t a drop of rain, hail, or a rogue highway rock the entire time I was visiting. He asked if I stood on top of the car before I left the garage. The car was navy and in a dark garage and also I’m a 5’5 woman. How was I going to do that nor have I ever. I walked around the car, got in and checked out. Mikhail proceeded to yell at me and my husband then walked away. Another kind employee directed us to the office bc I wanted to speak to a manager.The manager Alyssa refused to listen to us and said all renters are responsible for inspecting the top of their suv. I have video Mikhail and others checked no other cars returned in the manner ours was checked. I wish I never rented from them 👎🏽

Great pickup and return service!! Definitely do accelerated pick up so you just by pass the line and go directly pick up! So worth it. Also, feel free to bring waters and drinks for the car return folks! They really appreciated the waters and extra Dr Peppers we had in the car. You can’t bring it to airport anyway and they get rid of the trash. Will definitely use Alamo again!

Easy process for pick up and drop off. The car was not that clean on the inside when we got it but not a big deal. Car was in good shape and drove nicely and worked perfectly for our trip. The car we reserved was also available when we picked up which has not been the case may times these days.

We rented from Alamo at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport and they made the entire process so easy, from picking up the car to returning the car. We used the self service kiosk when we arrived to pickup the car, with a little assistance from an employee standing there, super easy and we will use that process again if offered. Our car was very clean and no issues at all.Thanks Alamo!

Great experience for us. Rented for 2-week trip in the southwest. We took exceptional care of the car and it was the perfect size. Easy pickup in Phoenix and return in Denver. Washer fluid ran dry during the trip, so I filled it, but otherwise everything went as planned.

We choose the skip the counter option. Transaction was smooth and easy thanks to a very helpful attendant in the lot who directed us to the appropriate spot. We grabbed the SUV we wanted and after a brief review at the exit gate we were on our way. The car was clean and in great condition. Drop off was equally quick and easy. The shuttles at Phoenix airport run continuously, plan about 20 extra minutes for drop off and ride to terminal to catch your flight. Alamo made this easy!

When I arrived at the rental car center at Sky Harbor I was so happy to see no line at all!! A very friendly customer service agent helped me check in and I was on my way to my vehicle in just two minutes flat. Outstanding! I will tell everyone how easy it is to rent with ALAMO.

Very quick and easy. Use the Alamo app to avoid the check in.Walk directly to your car and drive to the exit and show your ID.The only complaint I have I didnt get the car that I reserved.I reserved it 6 months in advance.It was also dirty inside and outside and all scratched up. They told me to take pictures so I wasnt liable.No hidden fees so far. I was only charged what I was quoted for six months ago when I scheduled it.Hopefully it stays that way.I havent seen any other charges on my card so far.If so we will be happy.Very easy transaction.I would book with them again.

Smooth and easy experience starting with the rental car shuttle at the Phoenix sky harbor airport. Shuttles lined up waiting for rental car customers. There was no wait on my end. Rental car center was about 10 minutes away. Area was clearly labeled upon arrival. No lines for me to get check in assistance. It was 3pm on a Friday. I did the accelerated check in online so I only needed to provide ID and CC for verification. Check in took maybe 2 minutes. I was offered an upgrade for cheap so I happily accepted. There were 4 people in my party and we upgraded from compact to minivan. Pick up was just as easy. No wait and the keys were in the vehicle. The vehicle was clean and perfect. When returning the vehicle, my flight cancelled unexpectedly and I had to arrange for additional time with the rental until my new flight. I called the customer service line and they quickly took care of it and reset my return time. It was spendy but easy to accommodate my request. I believe they charged by the hour but not sure. Rental return could not have been easier. There was an agent waiting in the parking garage and checked me in without delay and wished me a safe trip home. I will use Alamo again. Great experience.

Check-in and check-out was quick. The staff were convivial and helpful. Excellent vehicle selection at a fair rate. What else you need to know? All in all...Alamo provided good value service at a fair price.

I had a great check in experience. Rep was awesome and helpful. Car was fine no issues with it, but it smelled of smoke or weed. As a non smoker it was very noticeable. I like Alamo. They are fast and friendly, but once you get to the car i hope for it to be clean, full of gas and at least not have foul odors.

We recently rented from Alamo at the Phoenix airport. The car was great and the service was outstanding! In these days when so many people are exhausted and short, every employee we encountered in the Alamo system was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Great start and end to our trip!

Trying to find rentals that had nice cars, decent price and hassle free was tough.. then I came across Alamo, the website was very easy to use and maneuver. The car we got was clean and a nice ride for the price we paid! I think this was the easy rental I ever got! There was no line like thrifty! Everything and everyone were very nice! I will definitely use Alamo for future rentals!

SUPERB customer service!! I cannot thank Herman at Alamo Car Rental at the Phoenix Airport enough. He went above and beyond to help us secure a vehicle upon on our arrival to Phoenix from Atlanta. We had a reservation at a competitors car rental service and they could not deliver. They obviously overbooked and there was no communication while we stood in line for over an hour with our two children. THANK YOU so very much Herman and Alamo for your kindness and efficiency so we could begin enjoying our vacation. We will be using Alamo on our next vacation for sure and I would recommend Alamo over all the others!

Update: the manager refunded the insurance cost. I am not happy with the initial interaction but appreciate the company and manager making it right.I booked a car for my husband who was going to a family members funeral using Expedia and paid for the collision and damage protection there. I told I paid for the collision/damage coverage. When he arrived the people at the counter said it didnt matter and that it was a separate charge. They gave him the impression that he had no choice but to get the additional coverage and said I had agreed to it online (I had not). They were misleading. I called and the corporate office offered to refund one half the fee. I told them that wasnt enough after misleading and they did not make it clear this was an optional charge. The person I spoke with sent in a request for a full refund but said it was up to the manager of that branch at Sky Harbor in Phoenix. They are supposed to call next week to let me know their decision - I will update this review after I hear back. Very disappointing experience so far.

Our recent rental was great. Loved the skipping the counter option.

Our vehicles were reasonably priced. It took longer than expected to get the 4 vehicles. I expected that they would have them waiting for us since we had to enter plane arrival time, but staff had to go and retrieve them from a different floor. Because our group was getting 4 vehicles, this took about 30 minutes. Returning the vehicles went smoothly.

Easy check in @ 1pm, no lines yet we did ‘skip the counter’. Clean and fully functional car that was fairly new with only 21k miles. Friendly staff at pick up and return.

I really like the express past the counter option. We walked right to the car and left the airport. The car was a little dirty and could of been vacuumed out better and no windshield washer fluid. Great price and easy return. Thank you.

Quick and Easy! Could use a couple more cars at the drive happy area. There were only 2 cars available at 9:30am to choose from. While I was happy, Im not sure if the customer that came after me was happy to drive off with the only car left in the area.

Alamo is the way to go for rental cars. Great service, plenty of check in agents at the counter and friendly. The car was clean, and they realize that scratches happen. I can concerns with a few scratches before taking the car and the nice gentleman explained their policy. I have been totally screwed by other rental car companies and had claims filed against me for damage I didn’t do like scratches under the bumper for hitting curbs. Will definitely use Alamo again. Phoenix is awesome

Rented full size SUV at Phoenix airport. Paid in advance and skipped counter which was quick and easy. Greeted by super nice employee who directed us to selection of vehicles and then let us choose. Pick up overall was pleasant experience.Why does Alamo not include owners manual in glove compartment??? We drove from Phoenix into Utah and after finding remote gas station, could not figure out how to open gas door?!?!? After 15-20 minutes we realized gas door was actually broken and would not spring open after pressing. No other issues rest of weekly rental other than power rear hatch stopped working after first usage at airport pickup.Reported both issues on return to Phoenix airport and Alamo employee offered no apology; nothing.We’ll look to other rental options for our next trip to Sedona in October.

Outstanding experience.. the self check in stations were out of order BUT a staff member quickly called me over and took care of me immediately. Clear instructions and the bill was explained upfront which was nice. Great job!!!

We splurged on an Premium Elite SUV and werent disappointed. The website said it would be a BMW X3 or similar and we received an Audi Q5. It was very comfortable and clean. It didnt have every possible option installed but it had most. The one option it we really missed was cooled seats (summer with record heat in Phoenix, AZ).The line at the pickup point was very long, but they also had kiosks that were underutilized by customers. We walked right up to a kiosk and skipped the line for working with a human. The drop off was extremely fast and easy. We had no phantom charges. It was an excellent rental experience.

I am a big fan of renting from Alamo. Their staff is professional and friendly. The cars are clean, and theres a great selection. The prices are reasonable, and by being a member I get a greater discount. For car rentals, I always book through Alamo.

I have never experienced such poor customer service until I rented a car last week from Alamo. Flew into Phoenix on Sunday July 18th and got a Nissan full size car, drove it straight to my daughters house and parked it for the night. Got up Monday morning to start our trip and the car wouldnt start, called road service and they came out to jump start it and said to leave it run for a half hour that it should charge the battery. Ran the car for 45 minutes then shut it off to pack everything up and then it wouldnt start again. Called road service again and they came back out and said its not the battery and I should call Alamo back and exchange the car. I called customer service and they told me to go to a local Enterprise rental center and they would exchange it for another full size car. When I arrived at Enterprise they told me they only had a compact size car and I had to take it, I could not fit into the car so had my wife drive it back to my daughters house which she was not comfortable driving it. I called Alamo customer service back again and they said to go to another Enterprise rental service that they had a full size car there for me, so went there to find out that they also only had compact cars and couldnt help me. Drove again back to the daughters house and spend the rest of the day on the phone with customer service and no one could help me. I lost a whole day talking to anyone and everyone at Alamo and heard the same story that a manager will call me back but never did. My advice is to use another car rental service because if something happens the customer service is poor.

The price was the best. They accommodated my last minute request to return the vehicle to a different airport. Have not used Alamo in a long time but definitely will again.

Pickup and drop off were relatively smooth. Slight issue with pick up, but handled quickly and efficiently. My issue was with my bill. I was quoted a price but when I received my final bill it was $75 more. I called customer service and was basically put off that it was fees and taxes that were extra per location. I have used Alamo many times and this is the first time I experienced this. This was not impressive and soured my overall experience

We rented a convertible for our Arizona trip. We picked up the car at Phoenix airport. The staff was friendly however no one showed us how to work the convertible but we figured that out no problem. There was still water bottles and garbage left in the car from the previous person. The cleanliness of the car was not that great or What one would expect during this time. The car was fun to drive and I had all the bells and whistle ‘s. We truly enjoyed driving it. Returning the car was super easy and the staff was nice at the airport.

After many years of renting through Alamo, I had my first bad experience. I had planned to spend six days researching a book about northern Arizona. Several hours into my trip, I turned toward the sun. To my horror, the windshield became opaque, as if the previous renter had deep-fried a chicken with the windows closed. Despite five separate attempts at cleaning, the windshield remained a smeared mess. On the second day, a rattling noise emanated from under the hood when I came to a stop. By the fourth day, the rattling became constant. Because of the worsening problems, I had to cut short my trip. To their credit, the staff at Sky Harbor took my complaints seriously and decreased my bill. Unfortunately, I shall have to make another trip north to finish my research. Never have I had to change my plans because of the poor condition of a rental car. My faith in Alamo has been shaken to its roots.

Easy to make the reservation. I liked the different options to speed up the pickup process (e.g. providing my driver license info at reservation time). Had no wait at the check-in desk and ditto selecting the vehicle. Return was also very smooth despite numerous people doing the same. My experience was similar to many other good reviews of Alamo which is why I selected them. I would definitely use them again.

I compared several companies for the options of what we needed and pricing. Alamo was the best option for us. The vehicle was in perfect condition and was like brand new. The customer service was impeccable from the reservation all the way up to management at the airport. We would definitely use them again!

As usual, we had a seamless experience renting from Alamo at the Phoenix airport car rental complex. We were greeted by a gentleman who checked us in at the kiosk and sent us to the next agent. She immediately showed us the cars to choose from that were pre-inspected for damage. Alamo allows spouses to drive without extra charge so after showing both licenses at the exit booth, we were on our way.The car was clean and new and we enjoyed driving it.The return process took two minutes even though there were several cars in the lines.Overall, we would give them a perfect score for this rental.

Arranged for a quick, skip the counter, pick up of car. But at the Phoenix airport there is not indication of where to go, so I had to go the counter anyway. A man at the counter working marked managers special on an Alamo envelope and instructed me where to go. We entered the lot as directed and the woman working there seemed to randomly select a car from the lot for us, which at the check-out kiosk, a supervisor, or apparent supervisor came after the clerk could not understand why the car was unregistered, said the car was not rentable, so we had to back out of the kiosk and return the car to get another one. The woman at the lot indicated that she had no way of knowing as she had no computer. The people at the exit Kiosk indicated, including the supervisor, or apparent supervisor, said to return the car to the lot and well get a new car. The car we got had 43K miles on it already. Im lost on the disorganization of this company and the higher ratings it receives. I cant trust ratings anymore.

Always satisfied with renting from Alamo. No hidden charges and any time my selected rental is not available on pick up, they upgrade me for free. Great customer service! Never an issue there.

Friendly staff made it worth it all. We loved our rental in Sept/2019... The oil change and maintenance lights came on while we had it... We had it for 5 days I believe... Dropping it off at the airport, we didn’t have time to fill it up with gas... The worker asked if we had any issues, I mentioned the lights on the dash but that it wasn’t a big deal. He suggested that he gives me a good discount for that and that they’d forget about the gas tank not being full too. It was such a nice surprise. I really appreciated that... I will definitely book with Alamo again anywhere I travel (when we’re allowed to 😉).

Great experience; as always with Alamo. Did Happy Driver Deal this time. Worked well. Had several vehicles to choose from. Good cost option. Vehicle check in was quick; in vehicle and on road in short order; and return check in only a matter of a very few minutes. All great!!

Pick up and drop off we’re easy and the car was good. I left my eye glasses in the car abs tried to call from airport to get them and no answer. Then took the shuttle back to look in car and it was unavailable. Filled out forms, called and nothing. The list says eye glasses were found that day but I revived an email that they did not find my glasses. Just impossible to get a hold of anyone or any help.

I rented from Alamo for my recent trip to Arizona. I flew into Sky Harbor airport and picked up my car at the Rental Center. The check in was a breeze and I took the escalator down and picked up a Chevy Impala. The Impala was an upgrade but they gave it to me at the same price as there were none of the smaller Altimas that I had reserved. The Impala was luxurious and made for comfortable driving on my way to Tucson. The car was great and the return was smooth and hassle free.The cost was more than what I paid to rent pre-pandemic. Such is the new reality and I was happy that there was a car available, that I picked up and returned without any hassles. Thank you Alamo

Rented at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Staff was friendly, attentive and very customer-focused. They had a rush of customers at the time we arrived at the rental counter but the manager immediately starting working to reduce the congestion. Customers were served quickly and courteously. Vehicle was clean and in excellent condition. When returning a few days later, the check-in experience was equally professional and efficient.

Pick up was simple, quick and easy. Great service from friendly people. Van was clean. Got us around Scottsdale and Phoenix as expected. Check out was efficient. The only problem so far has been that Ive not received the receipt Alamo was to send by email. I expect it soon, I hope. I would recommend Alamo based on my experience with this rental. We did this rental through Costco which saved us some money and allowed a second driver for free. When I rent vehicles I always go through Costco.

Great experience with PHX Alamo. Quick and friendly check in after getting to the car center. Getting to the lot, they were actually out of the size car I reserved but Alisha had a great customer service solution. Will use again next time Im in town.

Rented a 4 door wrangler or similar. We got a 4 door Jeep Gladiator with a soft top. It was awesome! The top has 2 clips and went back for an open air experience. I LOVE jeeps and Im glad we went with Alamo. It was loaded with heated seats heated steering wheel dual zone climate control and just a blast to drive. I have been satisfied with Alamo every time Ive rented from them.

Extremely efficient pick-up and drop-off. We were in and out faster than Ive ever rented a car before. The car was clean. What else can you ask for!

Picking up the car at the airport could not have been any easier. We were greeted by an Alamo employee who directed us to the car models we reserved. Dropping off the car was just as easy. With that said, the vehicle we rented was a GMC Terrain. The a/c was cold, but the air from the vents smelled like vomit. After a few minutes it went away, but it was like that for the two weeks we had the car. On occasions the horn would beep 4 to 5 times for no reason, the engine felt underpowered for the Northern Arizona/Southern Utah area. We had the car for one week before the engine started stopping at traffic lights or in traffic. Not all the time but occasionally. Overall, If presented the opportunity to rent this model again, I would pick another in the line.

Alamo was an excellent rental car company. The service desk person was very informative and very helpful. They offered an upgrade for an additional $100 for our 5 day stay to a much better vehicle.The return was very easy. Drive in, unload, and that was it. Im not sure I have had an easier return than the one with Alamo.I highly suggest them to anyone who needs to rent a car. Open an account and you are all set.

I always rent from Alamo. Im an Alamo Insider and have never had any issues. This time around was a little different. Reserved a Full Size SUV in February for 4/28-5/5. The week prior, our flight times changed, so I updated my reservation with the new time. At that point, I was told that the Full Size SUV was no longer an option, so I had to downsize to a Standard SUV. I completed the Skip the Line info and went straight from the airport to the rental car center. When there, they only had one Standard SUV, but there were at least 3 full size. The vehicle that I was given (Mitsubishi Outlander) clearly had not been cleaned inside. It was full of dust and the inside of the windshield was so streaky, it was difficult to view out of. I ended up cleaning it myself. When I went to leave the rental car center, I was told that the credit card I gave them was not the one I used for the reservation (I only have one credit card), so I spent another 15 minutes waiting to check out.I will still continue to use Alamo, since I typically dont have issues with them, but this experience wasnt the greatest. I realize that there is a shortage of rental cars right now, but it would be appreciated if we would at least get a clean car for the price that we pay.

I arrived in Phoenix at the height of spring break. I had reserved my car ahead of time which was a good thing because there were no cars available. I paid for the rental ahead of time. When I got to the car rental center, I had chosen a mid sized car and just walked up to the car, keys were in the car. I then drove to the exit, showed my license, credit card and bar code sent to be and drove off. Very seamless and much appreciated. The return trip was equally easy. Would recommend!!

We have used Alamo car rentals a number of times and each experience was wonderful. Each time we have used Alamo, the pick-up and drop-off of the car was a breeze. Their cars are always extremely clean and well-maintained. We have also appreciated that their cars are affordable and we have never been hit with an, unexpected charge. We plan to use Alamo as our first choice and our future travels!

Ive rented from the TUS airport site many times. The agents I have worked with have always been helpful. In a recent rental, we decided we needed a bigger car than we booked, the agent (Miranda) went way out of her way to help - she looked at all the options for the night and we communicated several times over the evening on the car. If a customer facing job is her career choice, I expect she will be really growing up the ranks quickly. For her effort, I gave 5 stars.On the downside, excluding this rental, this location rarely has the car that I booked. In one case instead of a large SUV we booked, I ended up having to take a 12 passenger full size van. This was our first vacation after COVID hit and it really put a damper on it. I think they can do a better job of inventory management. But instead, they chose to overbook their cars.

This was probably one of the easiest car rentals we have ever done- Reserved online, paid online, SKIPPED the lines. Got off the airplane and went straight to the rental car area and picked up the car. No hassle returning the car either! Definitely would rent from them again!

Rented a car for a week at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. We reserved a full-size vehicle and were given a choice between a full-size sedan and a mid-sized SUV. We selected the SUV (Nissan Kicks) since it could hold more luggage. Vehicle was clean and worked great. Alamo was $200 less for the week than any of the other big name car rental companies, even when the others offered AAA discount. We will definitely use Alamo again, if the price is right.

Skip the counter check in was wonderful fast and efficient, highly recommend. Same with drop off, fast and well coordinated. Car was newer and drove well. Only negative was the $80 extra charge over the quote and the prices are higher than some other rental places.

The Alamo staff in Phoenix went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Someone guided us through the check-in process and another staff member took us out to the car selection area. The car we rented was in good shape. Because of the people, Id rent again from Alamo Phoenix.

Did not get the mini van that we reserved for, but got an upgrade for no charges, so still ok, but the van will be more comfortable for the road trip for 6 people, friendly staffs and nice services, will definitely rent again from Alamo

Secured the rental through Costco. Arrived at SkyHarbor Alamo, line was only 5 deep, 10 minutes later, finished paperwork and then picked up with large SUV in the garage area. Super fast, easy and hassle free rental. the tuck was perfect and brand new. Easy drop off as well!

I did the accelerated check-in and it was a breeze. They were out of compact cars and upgraded me to a mid-size at no extra charge. Very nice car with great gas mileage!

Car rental experience at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport was hassle free. Didn’t wait long to get the vehicle, staff was friendly. Jeep Wrangler was fun to drive through Sedona, Grand Canyon and Flagstaff areas.

Transaction was smooth. Employees were very helpful and friendly. Rented a Nissan Versa that was more than adequate for our needs. We put about 1100 miles on the car without any issues. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is price. But it appears all brand name car rental companies out of Phoenix charge too much. Supply and demand.

The experience with Alamo could be better.Pros:1) Skip counter car pick up is a nice feature, need to provide all of needed information before hand, skip the long waited counter, go direct to the parking lot and drive the car away.2) price was good if booked early enough, like 6 months.Cons:1) No way to change the information after you confirm the car on the Alamo web site, absolutely, no change, dont matter if you try to do it online or by a phone call.2) Car didnt clean enough, on one of our rentals, the window wash was complete out.3) When we asked for a 4WD SUV, the lot keeper said that she has no idea which car is 4WD, we need to find out selves, not willing to help or has limited knowledge.

Got a car in Phoenix at the airport. Easy self-check in process and didnt have a long wait on line even though it was a busy time. Car was ready, clean, and perfect in all ways. Checking back in on the return was easy and the people all were very pleasant, Great deal! Best price of all the other car rentals at the airport,

Very very happy with Alamo... was able to skip the line and go right to my car. in and out fast.

Easy to get your car. No lines to stand in if you do the paperwork before your trip. Saved me at least 2 hours from standing in line. Car was clean, class of car was correct. Only hiccup was when I brought it back. The billing was in correct. Car was paid in advance. Alamo was trying to charge an extra 120.00. Went to the office and was straighten out. Still waiting for the email they promised. Would definitely rent again

The processing was well managed. The mustang was VERY VERY used with 32000 miles on it. No longer getting a new car these days

The car was fine, no problems at all. But what really stood out was how easy the pickup/dropoff situation was. The system in place at the Phoenix airport is fantastic! There were at least 100 other people dropping cars at the same time and you basically drive up, grab your bags and walk away...leaving the keys in the car. It was easy, fast and efficient. Our experience was A++

I did the self check in however when getting to car rental the site would not work. Had to go wait in line due to this issues. When getting vechicle I noticed it was not clean in front and there was only one other vechicle there and that one looked the same. I was already behind on schedule so I took vechicle and said would call later. Got vechicle home and started to pack up when I noticed vechicle was way more dirty then i had thought. I took pictures so I can send to company if need be. Upon contacting rental company they advised the only thing they can do is refund $59.00 for myself. The car i had was not a cheap vechicle and over $500 to rent.

The check in and check out was great. Nice people at the desk. The interior of the car we rented was filthy when we got it, that was a little disappointing in an otherwise great experience.

The check out process was a breeze using the accelerated check-in as we skipped the counter. The rental car we got was not cleaned well. Other than this issue the check-in, check-out, rental rate were good.

This was my first time ever renting a car for vacation so I tried to be prepared. I downloaded the app and joined the Alamo Insider program for 10% off. I checked in ahead of time and was able to walk up to the desk, answer a couple questions, then go straight to the garage. I got to choose between a few different SUVs, and I loved my Jeep Compass. The price was fair, the process was easy, and everything was what I expected from the beginning. Great experience!

We had an amazing experience with Alamo. If it wasnt for Kim our trip would have been a lot more uncomfortable. We had to much luggage for the midsize car we rented. She helped us upgrade to a larger vehicle and made our trip much more pleasant! Kim was amazing and Alamo is so lucky to have such a suberb employee on their team!!

Upon arrival at our destination airport we proceeded to the rental car lot and where directed to the are of the lot we could select which vehicle we would like to rent. We received a Nissan Altima which was amazing throughout the rental period. The staff was at once friendly and helpful in every aspect of the rental. We were on the road within 5 minutes. Overall it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to use Alamo again nor would I hesitate to reccomend Alamo to friends and family, especially the expedited check out service.

If I could fine a negative star, that is the rating I would give the Alamo rental service in Phoenix. My husband rented a vehicle there March 10-17, 2021 to attend a memorial service. He hadnt even driven 100 miles and the vehicle was out of gas! He was told they would bring him 2 gallons of gas and then charge him $50 for the trip! No apology, no credit for having to put gas in when he got the vehicle and then gas again when he returned it, no customer service at all. You would think they would at least reimburse him some of his rental. Never will we EVER rent from Alamo again....anywhere.

The entire experience of renting our car, a Chevy Malibu was fairly easy with Alamo. The car was clean and ready to go once we got to the parking garage. However, the person who we dealt with at the desk was very interested in trying to get us to upgrade to something larger...Which was a little annoying. She tried to give us a mini-van but when we got to the garage to get our car the lady there said we had a choice of the Malibu or a Camry... Returning the car was quick and easy and we got our receipt right on the spot and then headed to the shuttle bus for our ride to the terminal.

Wow! What a wonderful experience! It couldnt have been smoother. Definitely would rent from them again! FYI, book ahead of schedule, thats what I did. There were people next to me that didnt, and Alamo was out of cars. Not saying that would happen every time, but I wouldnt want to chance it!

Alamo made this rental very easy and convenient. I chose the Skip the Counter option and it make picking up my car super easy. No surprises, no issues!

Car was awesome. Price was okay. Service was bad. I did more work to get my car that morning than any other employee there, being at an airport does not excuse anyone from providing good service, if this company can’t handle the airport it should find other locations. Their car washing is horrendous.

The skip the counter feature was nice however, when I went to pick out a car, I was not given the option to pick out my car. I was told they only had one car of the desired class I paid for. I was not able to pick a car I wanted like the website advertised. I was definitely disappointed with that. The car that I was given was nice however needed to be cleaned on the inside. I also had an issue when returning my car. I was told my reservation wasnt processed correctly so I had to spend sometime at the customer service desk trying to figure out the issue.

Fred was great he was able to get us checked out quickly and was very professional.

Waited for 4 hours for our van but could not get it because c/card no. was compromised & closed and refused to take the debit/credit card. So we ended up paying $1500 to get 2 mini vans. But our 15 passenger van was already paid in advance...😠 Will try Fox Car Rental next time even though the line was half a mile 🙄

We rented a full size SUV at the phoenix airport. When we arrived they said that they only had compact SUV. So we got small Mitsubishi SUV. Which it would have been fine except that it didnt have ANY airvent for air-conditioning in the back seats. My son suffered the whole time we were in Arizona. Its way too hot here to have a Rental car without air-conditioning in the back. It also beeped every 5/10 minutes giving alerts about the windshield fluid level being too low. Very annoying. There was also a small crack on the windshield that we werent able to see at the airport when we picked up the car because the windshield was very dirty. The inside of the car was not very clean either.Very disappointed. We usually travel a lot and rent card but this was not a good experience from Alamo.
