My sister rented the Toyota hybrid Prius . Let me tell you that car was amazing it drove itself, it stopped, and all I had to do is make sure the car did what is was suppose to do . Let me relax and have fun hanging out with my sister . And had amazing gas mileage when we werent going Soo fast . What can I say me and my sister both have a heavy foot we like to drive fast but we got there safe and sound and they got to do the tour for Warner Brothers backstage .thank you Payless car rental company

Its a super well organized rental car center. We got in and out in no time. Do keep in mind you have to ride either the sky train or the bus between the rental car center and the airport. When you are returning your car add 20-30 minutes for a safe cushion of time on top of what you have planned for flight check in and security.

Real friendly atmosphere, little hard to find at first,more than I expected. Their speed and efficiency is top notch. Had me in and outta there in no time.

Wonderful rental from National! From the airport you catch a bus to get to the building. Very clear signage coming back as to where to drop off the car. Catching the bus back to the terminal. Highly recommend national for a car rental!

Outstanding service from counter to car pick up. I usually get names, but because both reps were fantastic, no names are necessary... Great start to my trip... Drop off was just as outstanding as the pick up... Would definitely use this enterprise location again!!!

Nice place that was easy to access for both pickup and drop off. My wife needs a wheelchair and they were Johnny on the spot, stayed with us the whole time. Hertz was the rental we used and they did a fine job and very fast. Shuttle was nice going to the center.

I rented from Enterprise. The whole place was very clean and spacious. The people were friendly and it was a very easy experience.

This is the worst rental car experience I have ever had. Only rated 1 star because 0 was not an option! Fox is aware of how many reservations they have coming at a certain time yet they apparently dont care. The line looped through the building and out the door and it took 2 hours to get a rental car. The car was scratched up amd there was no attendant to turn in a condition inspection form, and who is going to go back in that 2 hour line to rectify this? Spend a little more amd go somewhere else, but not Thrifty. By the looks of it their experience and line was just as long.

Overall a great place to be! Biggest complaint is returning a car. I feel the signs are not placed in ideal locations.

The wait foe the shuttle bus is rather long and can take up to 30 minutes to get from the rental car center to Terminal 4. Allow yourself ample time.

They were great. I left my phone in the car and they helped me retrieve it and I still was able to catch my flight on time.

This will be a much nicer place once the train runs. The busing situation is a disaster. Takes forever. Drivers tend to be grumpy. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get on a bus. Current wait time today to terminal 4 was 40 minutes.

Service is great. Staff is friendly. I arrived to pick up my rental one hour earlier than scheduled and had no issues. Make sure your credit card chip works ! It seems to be the only way to pay for your rental. The car was great too! I used it to travel around couple of cities in Arizona and never had an issue with it. Just make note that this model might be too small for groups over 4 people. I think it is a smaller version of an SUV. I liked that it had CarPlay with a big screen so it was easy to use the GPS with my Iphone! Drop off was easy as well just make sure to follow the airport signs because the address they gave me was not working very well in my GPS. All rentals are located in the same building which was very convenient. There is an airport shuttle you can take that takes you there free of charge! Overall I am a satisfied customer! Really nice facility but absolutely too far from the airport - it feels like it adds an hour of travel time. And walking to the shuttle outside in the heat, not to mention waiting in it, is just too much to ask after a flight. Once at the rental location, then it’s another hot and humid walk to sit in queue for the vehicle assignment. In concept, it seems to be great, but practically, it’s just too much work. I would prefer to avoid the car renting, which most times I can do, that to add that much time to the trip.

Valerie was a great help when I checked in. When I went to get my car, they made me wait until someone was available to help. In the hot underground garage, I finally asked a young man to help. He had been walking around, I did not see him doing anything work related. When he did help he was so codencending. The return was fine

So I have to say Sky Harbor Airport does get five stars I was leaving work and a friends car breaks down in front of my job I stopped and give them a ride the only thing open hello its Sunday is that Sky Harbor airport so I went to Enterprise where I had been before and they took such great care of me and my friend in his needs so he was able to get his vehicle and tomorrow my friend gets a brand new car so thanks Enterprise for just making our evening much more eventful thanks for helping out in the time of need by the way all car rentals at the airport are open 24 hours you can rent a car 24 7 ask for Marissa at Enterprise car five stars in great job girl thank you

It was a little daunting. First time here. Everyone very nice. First time with Hertz Gold. Very nice attendant walked me through process of picking which car I wanted. She pointed out a Chrysler 300 when I told her what I drive at home. I love it. I was able to get used to the car right away.

Worst car renting experience. My flight to Phoenix was 1hr and took me almost 5hrs to get the car from Thrifty. Line was worse than a theme park!Everything from airport to rental car center went smooth. I did not wait more than 5 min for a shuttle to arrive to/from airport. Dropping off the car and getting shuttle to the airport was smooth as well.

Mike and company at Alamo are the best! Totally got us out of a tight spot. Highly highly highly recommend them

Shuttle bus took us there to pick, phone GPS got us to return, signage fairly clear.

Rented at AVIS the gentleman Dave was extremely helpful. He listened to our situation and his suggestions and offers gave me a peace of mind. After loosing our brother to a heart attack we needed all the assistance possible before making our decisions on the rental. Thanks Mr Dave you made our time in Arizona pleasant.

Very efficient. I really wish it was inside and you didnt need to take an offsite shuttle to get to, but the center is nice.

I think this is the furthest car rental center from the main airport Ive been to. But the shuttle got us there in about 7-10 mins. So make sure you are aware of the distance when factoring in your rental car return. The lobby is huge, so look for your agency when you first walk in.Getting there on a late flight means its basically a ghost town. But the good folks at Enterprise were quick and efficient.

Well organized. I used the Alamo rental and that area was clean and secure at midnight. Thank you. Cudos to the young counter lady on Aug 18. She was so kind, courteous, responsive to all my needs. You have to go down escalators to pick up the vehicles but the signage is very well laid out. After checking your paperwork, the car is brought around. Its a parking tower, so you must manuver through the maze and then have the paperwork checked again before exiting the building. I realize cars can be stolen but in all car rental areas close to airports the multiple paper checks to get out is frustrating. Im tired. The rental should be fast and easy after the initial contact at the counter. Overall here...a good experience.

Took a shuttle bus from Phoenix airport to the rental center, walked to the cars, chose a car and hopped in, drove to exit, showed my drivers license and off. It went as easy as that.

Worst experience of my life. Waited 6 hours for a car with Thrify Rental Cars on a Friday....in line for eternity. People said it it like that quite a bit. All the people you see were waiting for a car from Thrifty. NEVER AGAIN - 6 hours? In friggin sane.

Very helpful staff. Our car we ordered was a Infinity q80 but it was recalled and they couldnt give it to us. Staff suggested a range rover they had. Best rental ever!

Very expensive 700 dollars for 3 days . Car was not in its best . Very difficult to find for return, very poor signage along the route.I dint like the fact that its far from the airport.It was my second Budget experience in one week and it was a very slow pace to get a car . They have some kind of club that makes it faster so I guess the speed is on purpose to induce you to buy the usual rental junk like prepaid gas and insurance etc. Which are just deceitful profit centers which double your expenses per day. I lost 40$ in Dallas on this and they wanted a repeat in Phoenix which I of course refused.

It was decent, not well staffed. I did take into consideration that covid has negatively impacted many areas of the workforce, including car rental services. At least there was a decent amount of signs, clearly highlighting where the pick up and drop off points were.

10 minutes from Phoenix airport. All major car rentals are available, but expensive so book in advance if you can. Hertz, Enterprise, Avis etc are locates there.

This Dollar location needs many more people working when they are undercutting the prices of other agencies for business. The line was outrageous and there were 3 people working the counter. It took is 1 1/2 hours to get our cars and the line was more than twice as long when we were leaving so I would estimate a 3-hour wait for them. This was definitely not worth the few bucks we saved as there were very few customers at the other rental car places. The gentleman who helped us was outstanding so we are thankful that he was working.

Fast and simple process and great pricing. Easy to understand charges and they dont randomly add fees by tricking you into buying something you dont need like other car rentals Ive used in the past. Will use them again if I need to rent.

Sixt is best. Dont do Thrify it any if those. Lines went on forever.

An indoor rental car concourse. Its air conditioned and has bathrooms. Bravo Phoenix! The bus drivers are polite and helpful.

Went with Alamo -- quick, friendly service -- especially when you have a reservation. Returning the vehicle was also pretty quick -- definitely appreciated having the ability to just get out and run for the terminal to catch the returning flight. Shuttle service seemed to be well-timed and available when we needed it.

The facility is large and easy to navigate. The shuttle taking people there was clean and the driver was phenomenal. The rental process at Hertz was a breeze. 100% recommended.

Oh my gosh! Good luck finding this place! Using the address that the rental car company gave took us to some random back lot. Following the directions that that back lot taped to a door took us to a random parking lot, finally following the directions that some kind old man told us on the side of the road got us close enough to the rental car place that we could jump over a wall and climb three flights of stairs to actually get there. Incredible!

Seriously, Thrifty Car Rental!?! We had a great flight into Phoenix and then we got to the Rental Car Center. We waited in line for over two hours with three tired kids. Why make a reservation if youre still going to have to wait in line so long? And why not have more than two people working? The photo is after about an hour of waiting.

Shuttle driver was awesome, arranged for a wheelchair to be waiting as my wife got off the shuttle. Attendant was patient, friendly, genuine. He waited with my wife while I checked in at Avis with a polite, efficient young man, then he escorted us to our car. Outstanding service all around, thank you!!

Actually this was much easier than I thought. Shuttle service was great, drivers both were good. I honestly don’t know how they would make it better.

I was very unsatisfied with my rental experience at Dollar car rental.The rental counter was closed and all customers were directed to thrifty car rental.After waiting in line for over 52 minutes.I will say I was pleased how efficient the staff was at thriftyThanks Thrifty car rental👍👍

Its too hot to wait an hour for the bus. No benches either. And the are not clear which car we were suppose to take. They pount and said over there. When you point at 10 cars I cant be sure which one I can take. Crazy. The it took forever to get out because we all had to back up for someone that they couldnt let out. That was crazy!

Long line at hertz took quite awhile, there I tried using the app but it didnt allow me to add it go my hertz member info, so that was disappointing. Service was good, I mentioned that I was thinking about getting a small compact SUV because it had rained earlier & he said thst was going to be better because It tended to flood in the area, so I upgraded for another $130, that brought my total to $520 for 2 days which is very expensive but during this week, couldnt find anything cheaper. This included a discounted price for using triple A.

Pretty straight forward. Used Avis with preferred app. Just reserve, show up, go to car and check out at gate. No fuss and efficient.

The Rental Center was Near the Phoenix Airport. But is just a Shuttle Ride Away at No Charge. The process was Very Smooth. At this location there was many rental agencies. But I had rented from Alamo. That process want very smooth and they let us Choose what ever car we wanted within the Compact Class we had chosen. The car was New with only about 6,000 miles on it. It was CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, with Not a Ding, or Scratch on it. The Return Process was even Easier. Then it was just a Quick Shuttle Ride back to the Airport.

A 3 hour wait for Fox and Thrifty. 2 workers working at Fox which left huge lines. If you want to wait 3 hours to save $50, this is your place. If you want to get the hell out of there, pay more and rent from a different company.

Great and fast service, I took off one star because there was a very long line... Maybe even more stations should be open. But once you get to a person, it was a very good experience.

Not impressed with how they check you in. The man made us walk way around the whole parking lot to find our car with our luggage and here the car was right behind the kiosk where we were standing getting checked in. Really bizarre!We were tired from our travels and just wanted to get to our car! 😩

Impressive for a Sunday night. It was also very easy to return the car and catch a shuttle back to the airport. Very streamlined process.

VERY understaffed. When people are on breaks poor remaining person has to cover multiple rental counters. They hound you for upgrades and adding insurance you dont need!! **DO NOT USE Nu Car RENTAL!!! It was pretty quick and painless once we got to the rental center from the shuttle. Will probably be a lot better when they have tram service.

When we got to Phoenix we where lost so i asked very helpful found the bus stop waited 4 min in the heat it seemed longer but in the heat it will, got to car rental took care of business, i would have never found it if it wasnt for the bus thank u father. Everything takes time 1 even 2counter person 50 customers not the employees fault they cant rush it....

Dont ever rent from Budget, Avis or any company that they own

The whole experience with the Hertz here was stressful. Everytime you think youve finally found the pick up area and/or staff you have to go searching again. They definitely need signs. Be prepared to have a credit card. Otherwise they will do a soft credit check and put a 500 dollar hold on your debit card. There is still a 200 dollar hold if you use a credit card. It took us an hour to get our already reserved car once we finally found people who work there. Staff was incompetent and they dont respond to emails or calls. Also, dont use GPS to find the rental area for drop off. It takes you to a completely wrong place. It must happen often because there is a sign explaining where to actually go.

First time renting in Phoenix. A pretty open and elaborate building for car rentals. Easy to navigate and didnt have any issues.

Please be aware to allow enough time for the shuttle bus to transport either way.It took like an hour or so from landing to get your vehicle. I checked with other friends + family; they had the same experience timewise.On the return, it was much better timewise.

Nice facilities. The major drawback is how far away from the airport it is. Get ready to add a significant buffer to your travel time if a rental car is involved.

Budget was great, Dollar was a pain... he line! Even though I reserved online.None of them were acceptable when we got at 130. We couldnt find a soul, and there were cars piling up to try to leave but no one at the gate!!Thank goodness for Budget this morning.

Upgraded to the Kia K5, got 50mpg. Drove around 800 miles and filled up only once. People at the counter were nice and respectful and drop off was easy.

Sky Harbor airport car rental return is crazy. They have signs on the freeway at least to get you to another freeway and then no signs on the next freeway... Better freeway signs please.

I rented from Fox and had a nice experience, the place is far from the airport but they have a bus thats free.

The car rental center was extremely busy, as it has at least 5 other rental companies other than Hertz. There was only 2 guys working the counter so it took almost an hour standing in line before we were helped. But every rental line was packed with people. We had a good experience with the car that was provided to us. And returning it was super simple, as you just follow the signs that leads you to a line of cars where you pull up behind the car in front of you, take out all your things and leave the keys in the car. Then your on your way to catch the next shuttle bus to the airport. Definitely more simple, easier and faster returning the vehicle versus getting a vehicle. Maybe if there was 1 more person helping, the line would of went quicker. Overall, we had a good experience. 👍

OMG there were so many car rental places at the airport but only two were open and had cars. Hour and a half plus in line to wait to get a car. Get a clue Airport rental car places!

Used Google Maps to guide us to the rental return. A few turns come up fast so this was really helpful. Good signage will get you to your rental car company. Took an escalator to the bus pick up outside. Look for your airline and get in line for right bus. They only allowed 10 of us on at a time but there are several buses running. Overall very easy and good experience.

The Center is nice, however we always have to wait at least an hour before we can get a car, even when we prebook and prepay. There is a snack bar and waiting area. Weve used varies car rental companies.

Absolutely the slowest service possible. It took the Hertz counter most of an hour to process the 5 people in front of us. Every time the Hertz person accomplished something they went off on break. Would not use again.

The Enterprise car return was flawless.BUT trying to find the visitor parking because a friend was shuttling me to the airport, was a complete joke! No signage in the entire building to direct you to the visitor lot, and no one at info desk to ask directions. Thank you giant sprawling car return facility!Heres how to find the visitor parking lot: on level 3 as if youre getting on a shuttle bus, take sidewalk all the way to left, and then keep going, youll finally see the ONE SIGN for visitor parking, then keep going past that to an elevator. Take elevator down to ground floor.

We rented a car at Thrifty so we could drive around. They were pretty busy but we still were able to get in & out in less than 30 minutes. Good experience.

They over charged us. When asked would we like auto insurance we replied No.. Returning the we addressed the over charge and the thieves said we should of checked the contract...now we have to detest it..so even you say to the attendant check the contract there are covid theives..

If waiting and standing in line for 6 and a half hours sounds like fun to you then Dollar is the car rental company for you. The Dollar area was closed and all customers were funneled to Thrifty, next door. The result? Several hundred tired travelers waiting forever for their car. Our wait really was 6 1/2 hours. From 1:30pm til 8pm. So much for that day. Poor, poor, poor! Never again Dollar.
