The place is really beautiful my boyfriends grandma lives there and I love the set up. Theres a cute front porch and so many big windows. The only reason its not a 5 star is because I havent been over enough to know how the team and staff are, but based off how well kept it is Im sure theyre great.

I have lived at Zen for 4 years and have developed friendships with many, We have lovely grounds and have been provided seating and eating areas in each building. There are two very nice club houses which are used for various functions, bingo, puzzles, games and both chair aerobics and chair yoga. we have use of an exercise room and a pool. If I have any complaint it is parking there are people with two cars that take up spots, thus no covered parking for another tenant, and guests, The other is dog owners who dont clean up after them.. Arturo is always polite and friendly. Martina and Peggy in the office have always treated me with respect and professionalism. I know them well enough i can joke around with them. The reason for the 4 stars is there is no business even Fortune 500s that cant improve.

The complex seemed nice. Unfortunately, they wouldnt hold any open units past 2 weeks. They put me on the waiting list... supposedly. Later, I saw multiple units available for my time frame and price but no one ever contacted me to tell me they had availability so I found another rental elsewhere.

I lived at the Zen Apts in Phoenix for several years. Generally had few complaints except there is not assigned covered parking. There are 100 apartments but less than 100 covered spaces. Phoenix summers are hot and long, covered parking is a must. I gave notice to the apt manager Martina that I would be moving out at end of October 2020 because my rent price was going up once again. I moved out on schedule, Saturday October 31. I cleaned my apt top to bottom before moving out. I had heard from several others that moved out that they received zero of their original deposit. I wanted to be certain they had no excuse to deny my deposit. Apt was clean. Martina, the apt manager told me she would walk through the apt on Monday, November 2 and would call me about my return of deposit. She never called me. I called her to inquire. She said I would get a refund check. We verified my forwarding address. I awaited my refund. After repeated phone calls and voice messages I have never received this refund. It was now, Sunday, December 6th, . . . I have been waiting 5 weeks. Still no check. Lame excuses. I will update this if check not received soon.

My husband and I have lived at Zen for a year, having moved to Phoenix from Upstate New York. All contact prior to our having moved in was with Barbara. Barbara was a gem. She did all preliminaries by e-mail. Everything went as smooth as silk. Our apartment was spotless when we moved in. Our apartment is very spacious and bright. It is a very pleasant, comfortable and affordable place to live. We never have a problem if we have a question or concern. The staff and Art go out of their way for the residents. We are very happy that we chose Zen.

I currently am a new tenant. The process of getting an apartment here was quick and smooth. Megan was wonderful and made the process as easy as possible. She was quick to respond to emails and quick to fill out any paperwork that was needed for me. Overall, she was great at answering any questions and very patient with the whole process. I look forward to being here for the year.

I would give it a zero if I could. Barbara is a horrible excuse for a human being and the place is owned by an I vestment company. Barbara screams at the residents and humiliates and degrades them.Medication was delivered to the lockers for the wrong resident and her response was that she would check tomorrow possibly. Total disregard for the health and welfare of the resident. This place is just old condos converted to apartments and labeled Senior living. If you care about your parents or your own quality of life DO NOT rent here.

I love living at Zen Senior Living! Its conveniently located to everything I want and need, its quiet, and I feel safe here, even when I walk my dachshund after dark. The amenities are great, especially the full-size washer and dryer in each unit! Yippee! Ashley and Sam, the managers, and Art and Avalino, the maintenance guys, are approachable and responsive, taking care of any issues in a very timely manner. I highly recommend Zen Senior Living!!

I moved to this quiet, safe 55 and Wiser community last week. I am escaping the flood waters of Houston. I rented my apartment without seeing it based on reviews and the website. I couldnt have made this move without leasing agent Megan Branch. The office staff is extremely helpful and patient. Being the first in this recently renovated apartment, there were a few small issues that were quickly resolved. Maintenance is great! They even hung my ceiling fan for me. I love being able to pick super sweet red grapefruit from the trees on property. They are working on upgrading the fitness center. I made a great choice -- close to shopping without a ton of traffic.

Michal and I are relocating from our current 55 and up community to Zen senior living. The renovated apartment is beautiful and well designed and we look forward to moving this week. Megan Branch has made this transition easy with her positive attitude and encouragement. She has made herself available and responsive to our every concern. This is not a complex on the decline, but one dedicated to make independent senior living a joy.

This is a senior apartment, it is NOT an assistant living or Retirement Center. It IS a very nice apartment complex for Seniors (55+). Most apt have all new appliance. The staff are good, Megan, one of the rep here is excellent - One of reasons I renewed lease. She talk to and with you; not down to you. Makes you feel like a person, not tenant #5220.Believe me in todays world its nice to have this!

My mom moved here in August 2017 and Megan in the office was a great help in getting her settled in. Renovated units are nice. Wish they installed new sinks in the bathrooms instead of spray painting a “granite look”. Also, one of the bedrooms is more of a den since its window looks into the living room. Both rooms did not come with ceiling fans. As a second floor renter, this should have been complimentary. They recently renovated the fitness center (24 hour access) and community room (only open when the office is open). Hopefully, those upgrades won’t result in higher rent, but I’m sure they will.

To Whom It May Concern:I have resided at PVSL, located in North Phoenix, for over the last 2 1/2 years. This senior apartment community is a first-class place to live at. The management and staff always put their residents needs first. The careful attention to detail, and can do positive attitude is clearly evident everyday. This also includes the daily meal, that is nutritious and plentiful. Also, there are many meaningful activities that any resident can choose to participate in.I would strongly recommend this community to anyone looking to live in a wonderful senior setting. Thank you!

I would like to share my experience with Zen. My family recently had to find a home for our elderly parents. After looking at over 20 other properties for senior living, I selected Zen for on site unannounced visit. As I entered the clubhouse I was greeted by Assistant Manager Megan Branch. It is hard to describe what a wonderful customer experience the entire family enjoyed.Everything was clean, residents freely gave testimonials of contentment, the grounds were immaculate. The apartment selected was perfect. Everything looked brand new. This is a pet friendly place and they mean it. This was a deal breaker for mom if she could not have her cat. They even have a little bark park (never observed any animal feces anywhere, saw lots of friendly small dogs and cats). The complex itself is not too big (some other places, Mom would have to walk a quarter mile to get to the pool.) Everything appeared safe also. Now our folks are settled in and they love it. Hardly a day goes by without them thanking me.They should be thanking Megan Branch. I know as a business manager that assets like her are priceless. Thank you for all the tours from my family at different times, for fixing all of our paperwork snafus, for being on time with the apartment, and all of the phone calls we made.Sincerely,Don Maddoxsoryy this repeated an old post. The new one is just as good. Mom has been here a year. The AC went on the fritz this morning. Went to the office and was greeted by Barbara. The AC was fixed within 30 minutes. This place...no worries!

Going on my 5th year here. The plus is it’s nice & quite. It close to shopping for anything you need. I’ve asked for years to have a lower apartment because I use a electric wheelchair part time. Asking Management tells me when a lower apartment is available. She never calls back. A person shouldn’t have to keep their eyes open for someone is moving out.But the downside is water issues are severe here. we don’t get any notice of water is off for all of us. I get my drinking water delivered taste better than the tap. I keep a back stock of 10 gallons of water on stand by because they shut off our water without telling us. Management doesn’t take our water issues seriously. No notifications on water being shut off for another repair. Communication from management is very weak. No Text alert/email communication here.Parking is very serious issues contract states supposed to be one car per apartment. Some have several. If you come home after 3 pm no parking is available. It’s not handicap friendly here. A wheelchair can’t go everywhere hereCan’t afford to move elsewhere. This isn’t a place to move your parents to at all.Nothing is taken seriously about Covid pandemic here

KEEP LOOKING!! If youre looking for a place to move a loved one, do not consider this property. The Owners objective is her profit, not her residents safety and comfort. I moved my mother to that property in 2013, while it was still owned by Emeritus. The last year and half, under the current Owner, the property has taken a terrible turn for the worse. Weve seen extreme turnover in the staff, mistreatment by the Owner to residents, staff and guests, an extreme reduction in community activities, discontinued transportation for those wheelchair bound residents, removal of the ADA pool lift making it impossible for handicap residents to utilize the pool, unexpected utility charges, as well as wheelchair bound residents being held responsible for any accidental interior damages, even though the apartment is NOT ADA compliant. I cannot move my mother from this property fast enough. It is FAR from Paradise! The fact that my Mother lives in the second floor is irrelevant to the fact that Stephanie Anderson is a slumlord. In fact, Stephanie Andersons reply, is discriminatory and prejudicial. My Mother pays for, and has every right to access the pool facility. The amenity was there when she first moved to the property in 2013, and Stephanie Anderson made the decision to have it removed. Stephanie Andersen also failed to make legal choices in her property construction planning, over the summer of 2015, making it almost impossible for wheelchair / scooter bound residents to safely access the new Activity Room, the poolhouse restrooms and the even main office. Our most recent confrontation took place, with police officers called, after Stephanie Andersen had her maintenance staff unlawfully disrupt residents satellite services, by cutting cable and dismounting the satellite dishes. One was my Mothers. In the weak effort to accommodate my Mother, Stephanie Andersen made the terrible choice to relocate a television from my Mothers apartment into a vacant apartment. When asked for access to said television, I was violently scolded over the phone by Stephanie Andersen, You are not getting the television back. Im holding it as leverage against your Mother, and Im serving her a 30 eviction notice! Needless to say, the police officers were called out for a second time. Upon their arrival, Stephanie Andersenagreed to provide access to the television, but would not herself, carry it back to Mothers apartment. The officers were very empathetic to our mistreatment, and even carried the television back to Mothers apartment.I understand this is a lengthy interpretation of what a slumlord Stephanie Andersen is, and how poorly that property is being managed, but when you love your family, there are no boundaries.re: the response from the Owner ... Reality check! You are a SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY. An individual dependent upon a walker, power scooter or wheel chair IS an Active Adult. The discrimination in your response and actions, speaks volumes. It is apparent, the Owner Stephanie Anderson is not familiar with the definition of accommodating. Serving an 86 year resident with a 30 day eviction notice, is not accommodating. It is also apparent, the Owner doesnt realize word of mouth can be the best form of advertising, or the worst enemy.

My grandmother currently lives here and she wants to move. All her friends are moving and the Owner is evicting Senior residents to get rid of them. Every resident pays a different rent amount, and some are forced to pay extra for supposedly using more than allowed electric. This property advertises as utilities included. Do Not Believe it. The meal program is optional (very expensive) and the serving staff does not wear gloves while serving, or hair nets. Even the Owners underage children serve food there. Residents are moving because this Owner has taken away all the activities they enjoy, no longer has emergency after-hour staff, and shes having an extra marital affair with her executive director.
